Chapter 7
Legolas walked down the stairs into the Main Hall for dinner. He was adorned in a forest green tunic with small silver embroidery on the front in the shape of a tree; symbolizing that he was royalty of Mirkwood. Though, he left his circlet in his quarters; he had no desire to wear it on this night. He stepped causally down the narrow steps but his mind was overall troubled. He was still very confused as to why Tauriel had done such a thing to that undeserving ellon. She deserved someone who she could truly trust.
When he reached the bottom of the steps he saw a small white pendant that had small carvings of trees engraved into it. The necklace glinted in the light and he recognized it as Tauriel's. Legolas knew that she did not wear that much jewelry but this was (from what he recalled) from her father; a gift she had received long ago and held near to her heart. She would have never left it behind under any circumstances. As he furrowed his brows in confusion he just assumed that she had accidentally dropped it on the way up the stairs this morning. He walked into the dining hall and tried to spot her out but she was nowhere to be seen in the small throng of elves.
Quickly, he found Aradan who was sipping on a glass of wine laughing with a few other ellons that were slowly becoming drunk. Legolas went over to his friend to ask him where Tauriel was so he could return the piece of jewelry back to her.
"Legolas!" Aradan said joyfully with a small chuckle, "What is it?"
"I was just wondering where Tauriel was, have you seen her? I found her pendant on the bottom of the steps."
Aradan shook his head, "Sorry, but I do not. The last time I saw her was at the feast when she was wearing that dress," He said cracking a small smile at the memory.
Legolas nodded and thanked him for the small amount of information as he told him he would take his leave.
"Wait, where are you going?" Aradan asked slightly confused as to why he was leaving so early.
"I need to find her," Legolas said as he turned around; continuing the search for the chestnut haired elleth.
Tauriel woke up groggily in a place she did not recognize. It was a dark room that had stone walls quickly she tried to get onto her feet but she was stopped by a pounding sensation in her head that forced her to sit back down. She saw weapons strung around the walls and instantly tried to search for her own. That was when she realized she was in chains and that was when she remembered.
Herion started to drag her almost unconscious body out of her room as she struggled to be free of his grip. Kicking and punching him with no luck; she decided that where he was going to be the victor in this battle. Quickly, she tried to find something to leave that the others would recognize. That was when she clicked her pendant from her neck and tried to throw it to the steps. Herion started to drag her away even faster and she barely had time to carve the letter 'H' into the dark wooden floor; hoping someone would recognize this. She could not scream because he had gagged her and all of the guards in the area were at dinner.
"You are coming with me," Herion said in a dark tone of voice that made Tauriel almost cringe with worry. She was so frightened at the fact that he was in control now and he could do anything he wanted.
She tried to cough but she began to see black dots slowly invade her vision. There was nobody to see nor witness the elleth being captured by the cruel ellon and slowly the hurting sensation in her head got the best of her because she drifted into unconsciousness.
When Tauriel returned from her thoughts she heard a loud uproar of laughter come from outside of the small cave that she was in. A part of her shuddered as she recognized that the voices were of men. Sharply intaking breath she tried to unclasp the chains the hung around her ankles but they were tightly bound so that nobody but the one who had the key could rid her of the treacherous chains. Tauriel looked around herself for any source of light or information about her surroundings. She had already seen the numerous weapons around her but there was a large wooden door by the spears. The elleth saw a small hint of light through the tiny keyhole but it wasn't enough for her to make out where she was.
Sighing heavily she brought her knees to her chest and saw there were many scratches and bruises that she sported and the wound on her arm wasn't doing any better either. This worried her because there was a stinging sensation that burned deep within the wound that concerned her greatly. The bandages were hanging limply and were covered in dirt so she took them off only too see the severity of the cut that ran down her forearm. She would need to find some water to wash it off and maybe some herbs; if she could find any, she highly doubted that her captor would let her leave his sight at all.
Tauriel began to ask herself questions like 'How long have I been here?' and 'Is anyone looking for me?'. She decided then that she would probably have to get herself out of this mess. She breathed in deeply and once again tried to release her feet from the bonds but then she heard footsteps from outside of the room.
Instantly she stopped and remained still; if only she had her bow with her right now. The door creaked open to reveal none other than the wicked elf that had taken her to this horrid place. An anger burned inside of her and she looked up at him with a glare that was as cold as ice.
"I see you are finally awake," He said as he closed the door behind him; eliminating the laughter that came from outside of the room.
She continued to stare but spoke in a harsh tone, "Where am I and why have you taken me here?"
He let out a laugh that dripped with evil and once he was done he looked down at the elleth.
"Have you not guessed already? You are in a dark room with other men and ellons on the other side," He said getting close to her face.
She bit her lip and fought the urge to push him away from herself because that would only make him angry but when he tried do kiss her she could not resist. Tauriel punched Herion in the face leaving his nose bloodied and that was when she heard a jingling sound in his pocket. She suspected that it might be the keys that would set her free so she lunged for him but was pushed back against the wall with force as pain shot up through her back.
He smiled mischievously and held her shoulders so she would not struggle, "You…" He paused, "have not been good."
Legolas had searched every inch of the castle for Tauriel but she was nowhere to be found. Not in the training fields, stables, not even her own room. She would never just run off like that and tell nobody where she was. He decided that he would try and check her room once again so he started to head that way when something caught his attention. It was near where he had found the necklace where he saw an 'H' carved into the wooden floor. Could it be a sign? This confused him greatly but then he saw a small streak of blood nearby.
His body went numb, could this be her asking for help? Or was this just a child? Why was there blood on the floor? Legolas' mind was swimming with questions but no answers were being found. Finally he chose that he would tell his father and mother of this. They would understand, they had to.
Okay yay for another chapter! I hope you guys liked it and that it wasn't that bad of a cliffy xD. So yeah what will Legolas' parents say? Is Tauriel going to be found? Find out in the next chapter:)
