Layla had been with Fairy Tail for three days, the guild mates have been having fun showing the little girl their magic. Natsu has taking responsibility for making sure she is protected, and has a place at his house to stay. Natsu would never say it but it upset him that Lucy had a child with some stranger.
After Lucy left he broke off his relationship with Lisanna they both realized that their feelings of love where more like the love of a sibling. Lissana even got married to Bixlow three years back. However what really broke his heart was that he knew that Lucy fell in love someone that wasn't him.
Well he didn't care he would show her that he loved her and he would even adopt Layla as his own. She's so sweet like a carbon copy of Lucy, only her eyes were a shade darker than Lucy's milk chocolate. He looked over to see Layla sitting at a bar drinking a vanilla milkshake, talking to Levy about the books her mom read to her.
When the guild doors busted open to a man a snake like mark on the side of his face, "Hello Fairies, My name is Rain I'm from the guild Black Mamba, and I'll be taking this little brat if you don't mind."
Natsu got up and was about to run over to Layla when he crashed into a barrier, the man picked up Layla she screamed "Let me go you big idiot!" she hit Rain in the throught before running and turning around with Draco's key. "OPEN THE GATE OF TH-" before she could finnish the spell Rain kicked Layla across the guild hall, the key falling into Rain's awaiting hand.
All of Fairy Tail yelled in outrage as they started to break the dark mage's barrier, but before he could even say word what looked like a whip made of silver starlight wrapped around Rain's neck, smashing him into the nearest wall.
When the owner of the whip walked in Layla and all of Fairy Tail yelled out in unison "MOMMA" "LUCY" There in the door was stood a serverly pissed off Lucy, she didn't change much only that her hair was longer and her clothes were more fit for a fight.
Lucy used her whip and threw, the man who dared to hurt her baby, out of the guild into a clearing where he made a nice little dent in the earth. Lucy picked up Draco's dropped key and walked outside as the rest of Fairy Tail broke down the barrier, Natsu pick up the lightly bruised Layla, and followed Lucy out to the clearing.
"You will be sorry for that you little winch" Lucy looked at the already wounded mage "No I won't, but you will be for laying your nasty hands on my daughter"
