Isaac woke up, and he was still in Lydia's room. She was fast asleep. He didn't want to wake her. He was afraid to wake her up. If he did wake her up she might change her mind. He thought maybe the only reason Lydia wanted him was for the chase. Now that she had him maybe she didn't want him. He hoped that wasn't true, but he kept thinking about it. Lydia began to stir. Isaac hated to leave her again, but the possibility of rejection crushed him, so he left out the window. He needed to get to Scott's house, preferably after him and his mom left. He didn't want to cause trouble for Mrs. McCall, and he didn't want to explain to Scott what happened. Mainly because he didn't understand what happened. He knew that he liked her, but he didn't know why she liked him. What could he offer the girl who has everything?

Lydia woke up…alone. She looked around the room for Isaac, but he was gone. She wasn't sure why he left. She hoped it was just to go home and change. She didn't want to lose him again. She told herself she would never fall in love, but maybe he was the exception. She thought about last night, and she smiled. She couldn't stop smiling. She felt happy. She hasn't felt happy in a long time. Maybe just fooling around wasn't for her anymore. She got dressed in her prettiest outfit and put on her make up. She looked on her desk and noticed that Isaac left his picture. She picked it up. He was so young and looked so happy. She wished that she would have taken the time to get to know him then. She didn't like to admit it, but she remembered when he asked her out in freshman year. She was so cruel to him. She didn't deserve a second chance with him, but she was going to take it.

Isaac was hanging out with Scott and Stiles in homeroom. Stiles was babbling on about why Scott should watch Star Wars. It's weird, but if Isaac wouldn't have been so much of a loner he and Stiles might have been friends when they were younger. He hated that some parts of him were a dork. He wasn't like that anymore though. He didn't watch Star Wars or read comics anymore. They just didn't appeal to him anymore. He sometimes hated that he didn't like that stuff anymore. Maybe it would make him more normal. He probably wouldn't know how to be normal not anymore. Scott noticed he wasn't paying attention, so he asked," So Isaac what do you think?"

Isaac snapped out of his thoughts."Huh?"

"Should I watch Star Wars?"

"What? I don't care."

Stiles interjected, "Liar. I remember seeing you at the movie theater when they showed it."

Isaac was a little frustrated." That was a long time ago. I don't care about stupid trivial stuff like that anymore."

Stiles decided to back off when Scott gave him a look. Isaac wasn't sure why that would set him off, but it did. His childhood wasn't like other peoples. Thinking about any part of it made him angry. He had awful memories growing up. He hated that he still loved his dad. He hated that he kept that picture. He hated that every good memory he had like seeing Star Wars was tainted by his dad. He remembered the night he went to go see it. He did see Stiles that night. It was an amazing movie. His dad wouldn't let him spend money on DVDs, so going to the movies was all he had. He knew he wasn't supposed to be out, but he had to see the movie in theaters. It was amazing as it was on TV. When he got home his dad wasn't happy. That's as far as he wanted to think about that. His attention turned back to the present he saw that Lydia was setting next to him. She was staring at him. She looked concerned. She tried to shake it off, but he knew that Lydia would question him about it later. He really didn't want to talk about his dad with her. He wanted that subject to stay buried.

Lydia wondered what was bothering him. At first she thought he had changed his mind about them, but he looked hurt. She wished she could know what he was thinking about. There was no way she was going to let him get away with hiding things from her. That's what ruined her and Jackson, and she wouldn't let it happen with her and Isaac. She didn't want to push him away, but if she didn't push she might lose him. She guessed it was time for some tough love. She needed to break his tough outer shell. She remembered saying that she loved a challenge, but she didn't think it would be this hard. She guessed anything worth getting did take hard work.

Isaac was sitting at lunch waiting for the others. It was weird for him to have friends to hang with. Before he would sit alone. Even with Erica and Boyd he didn't feel like he belonged. He wasn't entirely sure he belonged to this group either, but it was better than being alone. Allison sat across from him, and Lydia sat beside him. Apparently Stiles and Scott needed to study, so they were in the library skipping lunch. Isaac found it weird to be sitting with just girls. He had never really been in a situation like this. Now he really felt out of place. Lydia reached for his hand, but he flinched. He didn't mean to, but it was a reflex. He saw that his actions hurt her. He wanted to apologize, but he didn't know what to say. Allison must have noticed the awkwardness because she tried to break the silence. She said," So how are things at Scott's?"

Isaac replied," Fine."

Lydia interjected," Are you okay?"

He put on a fake smile."Yeah. Everything's okay. I got to go."

He stood up and prepared to leave.

Lydia asked," Where? Lunch isn't over yet."

"I'm not hungry."

He walked off leaving Lydia confused.

Allison asked," What was that about?"

She replied," I don't know, but I'm going to find out."

Allison and Lydia went to lacrosse practice to watch the boys. Stiles was mostly goofing off, but Scott and Isaac were serious about the sport. Isaac did seem a little more than serious. He seemed a little destructive. Scott must have noticed it to because he was keeping a close eye on him. She hoped he didn't hurt anyone. He was tackling a lot, and the coach was yelling at him more than usual. Then she heard Isaac yelling back which was never a good thing. She saw Isaac walking for the bench. She hated that he was benched, but maybe it would give him a chance to cool down. She couldn't wait to talk to him. She had figured out how to help him. She just hoped it worked. She walked over to an angry Isaac. She sat next to him and said," okay?"

Isaac grumbled, "I'm fine."

"I was wondering could you come over to my house tonight."

"For what?"

"It's a surprise."

He raised his eyebrow. "I'm not really good with surprises."

"You'll like this one."

"Fine. I'll be there."

"Good. Oh and you can use the front door. My parents won't be home."

She smiled and walked off.

That last statement terrified him. What could she be planning? He hoped she didn't want to sleep together because he wasn't there yet. I mean he was a guy, but he wasn't a jerk. After practice he walked to Lydia's house. Part of him thought that he should ditch her, but he knew that that would blow up in his face. It was best to bite the bullet and see what she wanted. It couldn't be worse than actually being shot, which he had been. Maybe she wanted to talk, but talking could be dangerous as well. He decided he had to go. He rang the bell to her house. He had never actually seen her house except for her room because he usually went through the window. She came to the door. Lydia was wearing a t-shirt and jeans, which was very strange for her. He thought she was beautiful at school, but tonight she was naturally beautiful to. She took his breath away. She didn't say anything. She smiled and grabbed his hand. He flinched again, but she still took his hand. She led him to her bedroom. He began to dread his decision. When they entered her room he was relieved to see popcorn on the bed. He was confused but relieved. Next to the popcorn was a copy of Star Wars. He didn't understand. Then she said, "Stiles told me that you liked it."

He became stiff. "Not anymore."

He walked over to her window.

She was confused. "Why not?"

He fought the tears and turned around. "Bad memories."

She sat on the bed and motioned for him to join her. "Like what?"

He reluctantly sat beside her. "I snuck out to see it when I was young and when I got home my dad…."

She realized why he was upset."Oh Isaac. I'm so sorry."

She grabbed his hand. This time he didn't flinch. It now made sense to her why he was so reluctant towards her. She wanted to help him.

She continued, "Isaac, you loved this movie when you saw it…right?"

He nodded.

Lydia said," Well lets create a new memory. I want you to remember how much you loved this movie when you watched it with me."

They sat back on the bed. Isaac had Lydia in his arms. She pressed play, and the movie began. It was a good memory for him. They ate popcorn, and sometimes Lydia would throw it at him, which made him laugh. He enjoyed explaining things to her. They laughed a lot. By the time the credits were rolling they were in each other's arms kissing.
