Ding dong. The door rang, and Grayson went to open it. Stefan was standing in blue genes, a dark blue shirt, and converse. "Stefan what a surprise, it's so good to see you!"
"Do you mind if I come in?" Stefan asked. "Yes, of course!" Grayson said a little surprised by this.
"I know it's short notice Mr. Gilbert but I wanted to talk to you and your wife. if that's okay?" Stefan asked.
"Yes of course." By now, Grayson was a bit worried and confused, what could he possibly want or need? What if this is about Elena? Miranda came walking from the kitchen to meet the pair. "I heard what you all were saying, how about I get you a cup of coffee. How does that sound?" She asked.
"Wonderful," Stefan said, smiling. Miranda walked over to the counter in the kitchen and started to fill the container with water. Stefan and Grayson sat down at the table. Stefan noticed the worry on his face and said "Don't worry it's nothing bad this is quite good actually spectacular even." Said Stefan, with a small smile as he pulled a soft velvet box from his pocket.
"Oh my god, Stefan," Grayson said quietly, surprised nevertheless but ecstatic to say there least. Miranda looked over and smiled brightly, but continued to make the coffee she thought that would be the polite thing to do. She wanted to wait and hear what he would say.
"I came here today because I wanted to ask for your all's blessing to marry Elena," Stefan said, hopeful. Miranda finished the coffee, and at that moment Grayson and she looked at each other, nodded, and said "Yes," Grayson then went on to say it would be our pleasure and honor to say yes."
"Stefan, you are such a sweet man and so kind to our daughter but most of all you make her happy, you light up her heart and soul. We could never say no you're the right person for her and as Grayson said we are honored and delighted for you to marry her." Miranda said smiling and hugging Stefan.
"Thank You, all so much you do not know how much this means to me!" Stefan said brightly. "I'm going to propose I have a plan and everything! Thank You again!" Stefan walked out quickly full of excitement. Miranda and Grayson sat at the table watching happily and waiting to see what was about to unfold.
