Kotarou is a man that has so many destinies connected to his and that makes him fated to "Rewrite it all".. But what if it hasn't to be this way... What if he could be spared from it... What if... someone could Rewrite his fate? Find out in this Rewrite and Kingdom Hearts crossover where my OC is gonna take a journey in which he will learn what true strength truly is about.

1. Chapter 0 Awakening

REWRITE OF THE HEART Prologue

I'm falling,falling downwards into the DARKNESS… until eventually I find myself to be standing on top of a pillar,it was made of stained glass like you find on the windows of churches, on top of it there was a character on it,it was me!,I had my casual clothes on with a t-shirt with a red hoodie on it with a white circle on it which was completed with blue jeans and black shoes, I examined the surroundings and aside from the pillar the was nothing but DARKNESS, I eventually end up hearing a voice"SO MUCH TO DO… SO LITTLE TIME.."the voice which wasn't really a voice said because it was more like I was seeing these words rather than hearing them,then the non voice said afterwards"TAKE YOUR TIME,DON'T BE AFRAID… THE TIME TO AWAKE IS STILL NOT YET AT HAND.. NOW STEP FORWARD"and I did as the voiced commanded,then three altars appeared at the edges of the platform and each of them had a sword on it though the swords where completely different from each other""POWER SLEEPS WITHIN YOU… IF YOU GIVE IT FORM IT WILL GIVE YOU STRENGTH… CHOOSE WISELY" I stepped forward and decided to approach the altar in front then I jumped on it and decided to see the sword,it was a one handed blade with what it appears to be a dragon printed on it,it had a gold handle on it, I tried grabbing it and tried slashing the air to see how it felt,it was light but not too light, it was the right weight,then I decided to examinate more and the non voice said"THE POWER OF THE WARRIOR… INVINCIBLE COURAGE… A SWORD OF TERRIBLE DESTRUCTION… IS THIS THE POWER YOU SEEK?"I was intrigued by it and the sword felt pretty good but I wanted to check the other swords first so I said no and go out from the pillar,then walking back I went to the left pillar and jumped on it,this one was completely different from the other sword,it looked more like a key rather than a sword to be honest,it had a blueish/purple handle and it had only a sharp end which it resembled a star,I tried grabbing it and slashing it and it felt lighter,maybe a bit too much for my liking but at the same time it was more comfortable to hold in my hand,not to mention that because of the less weight it was more rapid than the previous one though that increase in speed probably also indicated it was less powerful and it also had a shorter range"THE POWER OF THE MYSTIC… INNER STRENGTH… A STAFF OF WONDER AND RUIN… IS THIS THE POWER YOU SEEK? A staff? I'm pretty sure it is a sword… anyway this key despite lacking a bit of power was also a decent choice,mainly because of the lightness and versatility of the weapon,not to mention it is really manageable as I spun it with my index finger but there was something weird about this key like sword, a weird feeling about it which I couldn't describe,for I decided to leave it and to check my last remaining option,the last pedistal which contained the last sword it wasn't key shaped like the previous one but it looked like a normal one,it had a silver sharp but thin blade and it had a dark blue handle with two gold sidepods,I tried grabbing it completely unique compared to the other ones,it was faster than the dragon printed one but slower than the key-shaped one,it also had a longer range than the key one but the thinner blade made think that it was probably weaker than the first one that I tried… but overall it was a pretty balanced sword"THE POWER OF THE DEFENDER… KINDNESS TO AID FRIENDS… A SHIELD TO REPEL ALL… IS THIS THE POWER YOU SEEK? Ok clearly the narrator was drunk as this was definitely not a shield but I decided not questioning it further,instead I tried focusing on the sword a my hand,while it felt overall the most complete weapon of the three was also slightly off about it,I couldn't figure it out what it was but it was slightly unnerving me,not to mention but WHERE this cold was coming from as I felt a slightly chill on my back, so I decided that DEFINITELY wasn't gonna be my weapon as I step out of the altar and returned to the center of the pillar which left me with only two possible choices… do I get the dragon sword? or I go for the key-shaped one? the key-sword kinda intrigues me,especially considering how versatile it is,I go check it again,the non-voice repeats the whole "Power of the mystic thing" and while it said that something else caught my attention,a staff of wonder and ruin?,part of mind screamed red flags which should made me think that I really shouldn't get this sword and so I left it there and went with the only plausible option,"THE POWER OF THE WARRIOR… INVINCIBLE COURAGE… A SWORD OF TERRIBLE DESTRUCTION… IS THIS THE POWER YOU SEEK?"When thinking this I concluded that this was the most vialable option since even the key-shaped one left me a bit perplexed,not to mention… a sword of terrible destruction? yes of my enemies… HOW THE HELL CAN IT GET COOLER THAN THAT!? So In the end I nodded yes and then… "YOUR PATH IS SET..NOW, WHAT YOU WILL GIVE IT UP IN EXCHANGE?"the said as my sword was engulfed in light,my vision turned up to the two remaining pillars,this one was fairly simple as something in my heart told me to avoid the key shaped sword,dunno why… maybe it was the whole "ruin" thing that was making me hesitant and while that the thin,silver blade also gave me a strange feeling (including a strange cold feeling)overall it was fairly balanced and pretty good to swing too,not only that but in case I wanna double wield like some anime protagonist(lol I wish)it would be wiser to have two similar weapon for it even thought this feels like a silly justification, also there was the fact that I want to protect my friends since ever since I've found them it was the happiest that I've ever be and I do really care about them since I was so lonely as a child and I definitely don't want to return the way I was before, with my mind now made up I walk towards the altar with the key-shaped sword,I try grabbing in and..."What the!?"I said as the key-sword as become surprisingly heavy and I took all of my strength to lift it,the non-voice said"THE POWER OF THE MYSTIC… INNER STRENGTH… A STAFF OF WONDER AND RUIN… YOU GIVE UP THIS POWER?"I nodded as was still lifting the sword until it disappeared from my hands,with the sword disintegrating into light instead of getting engulfed,then the non-voice said"YOU'VE CHOSEN THE POWER OF THE WARRIOR.. YOU'VE GIVEN UP THE POWER OF THE MYSTIC.. IS THIS THE FORM YOU CHOOSE?" "Yes" I responded pretty confident in my choices,as I did that the pillar which I was on,the stained glass broke and I fell once again.. into DARKNESS…

As I kept falling I began seeing another stained glass pillar with what it looked to be a girl on it and I eventually end up falling in it,I tried analyzing it but as soon as I got the chance… the sword appeared in my hand… the one with the dragon designed on the blade and as it did that, the non-voice begin talking once again"YOU'VE GAINED THE ABILITY TO FIGHT"as I practice out a few vertical swings something started to appear…strange black creatures with yellow eyes, they seemed to have antennae in their heads and seemed to walk with their legs even though their behavior seemed to be animalesch,"THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN YOU HAVE TO FIGHT… KEEP YOUR LIGHT BURNING STRONG"as non-voice said that those creature started walking towards me,I breathed in and out and then opened my eyes towards them,handling my sword with both hands,as they started a did a downwards swing managing to hit one… then proceed to a rapid left and then right swing with both hands,then a turned my back and did an horizontal swing with one hand,killing that creature and knocking out the others,as I kept my stance while holding my weapon I instinctively turned behind to see one of those creature jumping me from behind,I put my guard up and then moved my body to the left and my moved my sword towards the right knocking out the creature out,then I stabbed on the head making it disappear,the I focused on the remaining one ,pretty confident after defeating the two before I jumped straight at the creature slamming my sword down to where his head is confidently destroying it or so I believe it… instead the I only slashed the stained glass as the creature disappeared from sight"Where did it go?" I questioned as I looked around a bit panicked left right above,no sight of it until I looked below and I saw behind my feet a dark creature moving in the stained glass,I turned up to see that the creature was moving on the stained glass,almost as it has become part of the picture, it moved on my left then it it reappeared in the 3d environment and it landed a scratch on my feet,injuring me"augh!"I tried counterattacking by striking my sword forward but it clashed with its claws causing both of use to stumble and back off but then I ran forwards and jumping at it once again but instead of slicing with the blade I opted to stab the sword on the glass along with its head while screaming"WHY YOU!"it worked,I stabbed the sword on the ground or I should say on the glass along with its head,successfully destroying it"fiuuf" I said catching a break as I sit down for a few seconds,then I got back up and took the opportunity to analyze the stained glass and the figure that was on it,it was a girl in which appeared to be in her teens, she had black long hair with a bend on her hair and it looked like she was wearing some sort of gothic lolita dressing,the kind of thing that would make every otaku go nuts,she appeared to have he shoulders covered by a lavander topcoat with a purple ribbon on it,her upper body consisted in a white shirt with black sleeves at the end of her arms while holding a greenish shield on her left arm and purple crystal on her left hand and also had another purple ribbon between her shirt and her gray skirt,she had black stockings with high heels shoes,she looked to be sleeping just like I was in the other stained glass in the pillar I was before"Pretty…" was all I could muster as the glass was replaced with swirling DARKNESS,it was sucking me in like it was a quicksand or something similar… eventually I fall completely in it and the only thing I could see was DARKNESS.

Eventually I woke up as I was still panicking after what happened,I was in another Pillar with another person featured in the stained glass,this time it was a boy with spiky brownish hair with red vest with a zip and a belt,a white jacket,white gloves and yellow shoes,he also had a chain on his vest and a crown necklace on his chest,I didn't know why but this guy felt… familiar… he was holding a key-shaped weapon on his left hand similar to the one I discarded a few pillars ago and it also seamed to be sleeping just like me and the girl on the previous pillars where,that sword also seamed to have a key-chain attached to it with an emblem featuring… "Micky Mouse?"I said out aloud which is weird considering that he looked way too much of a anime or Japanese RPG game protagonist to be a disney character but still that while that did felt weird at the same time it also didn't for some reason? As I'm lost in my thoughts I see a door in front of me,as I carefully approach it I begun hearing statics While my mind something was screamed at it"open the door… lead me into everlasting ********" "Stop it it… please" I begged as my head was exploding of the pain… then it stopped and I heard the non-voice once again"THE DOOR OF LIGHT" as that was said the door was opened, a bright light emerged from it… so much so that I had to close my eyes… once it diminished a little a opened my left eye and stepped forward,walking towards the light and eventually entering the door and then… everything fade to white until…

I stumbled on a hill… full of flowers… there… there was a guy.. he had a white jacket with a green squared one on twisted on the half of his body,he also had black pants and black shoes… wait that was! "Kota ughhh!"I fell to my knees in pain as that noise was inside my head once again,I opened my left eye as I noticed that he too was on his knees and was holding his head so I wasn't the only one to ear that… then I saw a shadowy figure in front him… I couldn't figure it out what it was but one thing I was certain of it,the noise… was coming from that creature… as I try standing up I noticed that something flew past by and hit my friend,he feel over in anguish,he was bleeding"NOOOOOOO!" I screamed and run towards him,not caring about that absurd noise any more which was a bad Idea since as soon as I left my ears open my head exploded once again from the pain… and then I collapsed,not being able to do anything I surrender myself to the "DARKNESS" once more.

When I woke up once more I was in another Pillar once more… the character in the stained glass was different compared to the ones I saw before,It was about a girl who seemed to be wearing a magical girl outfit of some sort but my mind suddenly stoped analyzing It when I remembered something else"Wait… Kotarou! I need to find him quick"I remembered how in that hill he was there and we both fell victim to that noise,I also remember how he got hit by something and how he felt to the ground trembling while losing blood,but unfortunately I had other troubles coming first,more of those black shadowy creatures came out of the glass which I had to deal first,I got in my fighting stance as the dragon sword(yes that's how I decided to call it)appeared in my hands as I handle it with both hands as I got ready to fight once again, "out of my way!" I screamed as I jumped forward trying to slash down the creature,again it went hiding in the stained glass but this time I knew the trick so I keep track of it while it moved behind me,predicting its movements as it tried attacking I moved to the left and did a horizontal swipe to the left,successfully killing it,another one jumped behind me,I put my guard up and blocked repelling it away as two more more got close in,I killed the first one on the right as the one on the left jumped forward,trying to scratch me but alas I was faster as I lunged forward ,stabbing its chest killing it, I took a moment to catch a break and I begun moving forwards as I saw a path made of windows connecting to another pillar,since I didn't saw any other road I decided to follow it running it along while holding my sword in my right hand and making it rest on my shoulder.

There I saw another stained glass with another character with it,this was featuring a guy blue hair and what appear to be a school uniform in which I've never seen before,he appeared tp have an mp3 player which was pretty neat but I stop analyzing it and instead trying to see if there was another path which I could take,I wasn't so lucky so I decided to move to the center of the pillar as the non-voice begun speaking once again"THE CLOSER YOU GET TO THE LIGHT… THE GREATER YOUR SHADOW BECOMES..."as it said that my shadow became longer and longer until it emerged and became three dimensional,the shadow appeared to be similar with me including my clothes though it was pitch black and it had higher,spikier hair than me,eventually it opened his eyes reveling yellow irides similar to those black creature that I fought previously,as I was starting to get anxious I got in my fighting stance as I was still holding my sword with right hand,I then started holding it with both once again as the figure smiled,the he turned back and started walking away as he was getting close to the edge of the pillar "Wait!"I said hoping he would stop but he didn't,instead of falling to the abyss he kept walking even outside the pillar to my surprise,as I was questioning what the hell was going on I've some weird rumors going on as I turned back to see even more figure black creatures walking or should I say slither to the glass,this appeared to be some sort of blob,liquid creatures which only had short arms and yellow eyes just like the previous ones,I pointed my sword towards them but they didn't seemed to care in fact the didn't even shot me a glance unlike those other more animal like creature,the just keep crawling as more and more of this things kept coming and there were going towards where the similar to me black figure was going… like that weird version of me they didn't fall to of frow the pillar instead they kept going in the same direction,more and more kept going until eventually they disappeared into the horizon until… grumble grumble grumble.

"What's going on!?"I asked out aloud as the whole pillar begun shaki.. no it was the whole place that was shaking as I begun hearing some horrific animalesch sound,I didn't know what it was but one thing I was sure off,I had an horrible feeling about it, suddenly I began seeing something, those black blobs where fusing with each other into another form the form was beginning to take a shape until eventually I've begun seeing something,something horrific which was coming this way, it landed his arms as it was crawling here… until eventually it begun standing up and it begun walking with what appeared to be 4 ARMS! that was a surreal scene not gonna lie… until it reached the pillar,there I've begun to see the horrific creature,on closer inspection it was an gigantic dog that was meshup with the other half of another dog,it had 2 skeleton heads with both of them having horns though the position of those differed from both heads and those skull like heads had sharp teeth and bright red eyes unlike the other creatures I've saw before,I was petrified from it,no matter what way I looked at it but there was no way that I,a guy who recently learned how to fight and the only other time it has wielded a sword was on one of those games on the Wii was gonna be able to even scratch this thing,let alone defeat it,I run away trying to escape this creature wrath until… I 've run out of room and got into the edge of the pillar and then the voice begun speaking once again"BUT DON'T BE AFRAID"it said as I turned back to face the monstrosity once again"AND DON'T FORGET…" it said but that didn't help me at all,it only told me to not forget… forget what? it didn't matter as I had more pressuring matters to attend,I looked back at my sword,I could see my reflection on it eve though it wasn't that much visible as the sword was covered with the image of the dragon… as I close my eyes and clenched my left fist as I got in a different fighting stance with the weight of my body shifted to the right and holding my sword with my right hand as I screamed "DAMM YOU!".

as I breathed in and then out I've begun running towards the creature,against all the reason and logic I tried attacking even though I well knew how easily that thing it could kill me,I run towards what appeared to be is right leg or arm since it appeared to hand on the ground,I went for it and tried stabbing it with my sword"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"I screamed,trying to summon all of my courage as it lunged forwards and successfully stabbed his right arm/leg "Yes!" I exclaimed happily but that was short live,the heads where staring at me and eventually it raised its limb upwards along with my swords,I tried pulling it back but the time that was doing a was in midair,holding for dear life at the handle of my sword,I put my feet at the limb in order to give myself more stability in order to pull the sword out,I succeded in doing that but at the time I did that I've begun flying upwards in air,then I was falling down and as I was doing that I saw that the beast was moving its other limb,when I saw that at first I thought of blocking the upcoming swing but there was no way I was gonna block that,instead I've opted to slash it when it got close to hit me,as it got closer and closer and then bam* as I slash it I got sent flying out of the pillar as then I grabbed the edges of it barely with my right hand as I hold once as noticed that my sword was falling down towards the abyss,as it fell I reached desperately with my left hand thinking that this was over since the sword fell off of in the distance when suddenly a greenish light appeared and with that my sword back at it,with the sword on my left hand I stabbed it to the edge of the ground in order to help get on top of the pillar,successfully doing so I escaped death for barely a scratch but now wasn't the time to celebrate,the beast noticed that I was still here,then it moved forwards and as it did that a pool of DARKNESS emerged from on his hands,similar to the one I got absorbed before… only a bit DARKER now the biggest question was, how do I fight something like this? the only idea that it came across was to apply a bite and run tactic as stabbing it was definitely a bad idea,and so I've run across slicing his left arm,then I moved diagonally in order to not give him landmarks of my position and so I move to slice his rear right arm and it was working as it started to lose equilibrium as he struggled to find some balance,I went for right arm as in to make him fall forwards but my plan failed when he begun to raise his hand"oh crap not this again! I exclaimed as the beast was ready to slam his hand on the glass,when it did it released a vast amount of darkness that engulfed the whole pillar myself included which was smoke fire like and it filled my lungs with this crap"cough cough"I coughed as the air was becoming unsustainable thanks to the DARKNESS that manifested in the pillar,I had to get rid of it otherwise it would be the end of me,luckly I had an idea,it was a bit of a crazy one but I didn't have a choice,I threw the sword like a boomerang around me while doing a spin,incredibly it worked as the sword circulated in the whole area as it cleared the area to the point to make the glass visible once again, it then returned to my hands"this sword is AWESOME!" I said as I stopped looking at the sword and instead I've returned my gaze to the beast once more as it stood there for a few seconds while it stared at me… then I've begun hearing an horrible noise… a familiar one at that… "ughhh! AHHHHHH!" I've begun screaming as I tried to close my ears but that wasn't enough to stop the noise as fall to the ground contorting my body from the pain as I was about to lose my consciousness as when I closed my eyes,the only thing that I could see was a guy's back… and it seemed to be wearing a jacket but I couldn't really tell from behind,then he turned his head slightly and told me something,I wasn't understanding what he said so I asked him to repeat that again and he said…

I woke up once again and I got up… just enough on time to notice that one of the heads of the beast was trying to make me into its breakfast,I immediately dodged rolled to the left as it was getting ready to bite then it begun making that eerie noise once again,as I covered up my ears I noticed something,I had an mp3 hanging on my chest along with headphones,I wasted no time on putting those on my ears then I've begun putting some music on it… the horrible noise suddenly stopped,as that noise came to a stop I've come to a sudden realization,that that noise was the same that I've heard In that hill where"… you..."I almost silently grunted when I realized that this creature felt similar to the silhouette on the hill,the one that hurted my friend,I've started holding my sword once again as the whatever the hell is started curving itself and the heads got close to each other ,it was starting to create a massive ball of energy,realizing that I lunged forward"NOT ON MY WATCH!"I said as I go close to the heads and begun attacking it with a series of slashes,it didn't stop the attacking so I decided to speed up the attacks,eventually I ended up doing a left,downwards,left again and then upwards slice which it did the trick,that seemed like different from the other attacks I did like it was some kind of technique,that monster dispersed the energy as it regain its composure and finally stood back on itself,it then tried to swipe me out of the pillar with another swing close to the glass,this time I jumped surprising myself in the process and dodged the attack,the the monster tried to slamm its left hand on the glass as it wanted to recreate that pull of darkness,I didn't let as I anticipated the move and threw my sword at its hand,stopping from slamming down on the glass,my sword reappeared at my hand,it was trying to the same move,this time with the right hand,I wanted to throw the sword at it once again but this time I couldn't cause as soon as I tried the sword disappeared from my hands, then the beast slammed his right fist to the glass,I backed off trying to dodged it but I noticed that a pool of darkness manifested below me,then the creature slammed its other fist on it making the pool larger and making me being swallowed in the process,as I was sinking deeper and deeper the voice begun speaking once more"DON'T BE AFRAID… YOU HOLD THE MIGHTIEST WEAPON OF ALL…" it kept talking as I was sinking lower and lower to the darkness below,"SO DON'T FORGET"it said as I was now almost absorbed by the darkness,"YOU'RE THE ONE… WHO WILL CONNECT IT ALL…".

"ughaaaaagh" I screamed until… "DAVID!I've heard a voice and saw…

"huh? Shizuru"?
