It's been a looooong time since I updated...

"Watch out!" Legolas screamed as an arrow came flying through the air..

Sylenius ducked just in time.

"We have to find Ada!" She screamed back, cutting off an orc's head. "See him anywhere?"

Legolas looked around, shooting down three. No sign of Thranduil anywhere. If he could go higher, maybe he could spot him…

"We need to gain altitude!"

With a grunt, Sylenius pushed each of her daggers to two orcs.

"How about that hill?"

"Perfect!"

They dashed up the hillside, trampling up dead bodies of the fallen soldiers.

It was pandemonium, arrows whistling everywhere, cries of battle, and the smell of mud and blood.

Legolas climbed up the rocks. He could see the whole battlefield, using his elven sight.

And he could see a flash of silver. He squinted-"There! Up on the third hill, North!"

He said, jumping down.

"Where you can see the columns?"

"Yes-"

His words were cut off when a litter of orcs burst onto the hill. They didn't stand a chance, however, as Sylenius embedded her throwing daggers onto their stomachs.

She swiftly plucked them up, scrunching up her face when she noticed the green blood etched on the edge of the blades.

"Ew. Orc blood."

Legolas rolled his eyes. "We have no time to waste. Come on!"

#####

They were trapped.

On their right was a high stone wall. Neither were tall enough to reach it. Kili was too short, and Tauriel was still small for an Elf.

"You."

The voice.

So familiar.

Once kind.

But now menacing.

Tauriel turned.

And sure enough. There was the silvery blond hair, the piercing, blue eyes that were so different from Legolas's soft, deep, and sparkling blue orbs.

"Thranduil."

She could sense Kili standing frozen in his place as the Elven King of Mirkwood, tall and bold, pointed his sword at their hearts. Behind him were an army of elves, whom she had once been the captain of, their leader.

"What is the captain of Mirkwood doing with a dwarf, while leaving her team behind?"

Tauriel glanced at her surroundings. There was absolutely no opening.

"Is this treason?"

Tauriel glared at Thranduil. If only she could let Kili escape-

"I ask you again, captain, is this treason?"

With shaking hands, Tauriel slowly raised her knives, aiming at the king's neck.

"You…shall not go further."
