LISA
"You said there were scratches?"
I looked away from the painting and stared at Vanessa who was looking right at me.
"Yeah."
"How did you get them since you and Somi never had sex?" Vanessa asked. I ran a hand down my face, trying to find the right words to say.
"She was... into it. I try to get my shirt off and each time I wiggle, she'd slid her hand underneath my shirt and scratch."
Vanessa hums and wrote a couple of things in her notepad. She clicks the pen and stared at me, one finger rubbing her chin.
"Did Somi know you were married?"
"Yeah. I talked to Somi about Jennie all the time and she'd shut me up each time with a kiss." I replies. "We never had sex, no nothing. Kissing was as sexual as we got."
Vanessa places her pen on the notepad and stared right her, her gaze never straying.
"Why do you think she left the scratches, Lisa?"
It took a minute, the wheels in my head turning. "She wanted Jennie to see them."
[AN: You can skipped this part! If you're not okay with a Little JENNIE x JIYONG Intimate scene ]
JENNIE
I falls onto the bed with a small bounce and Jiyong slid between my legs, his mouth finding its way to me. My moans and arched against Jiyong, my hand in his red hair and the other on his back.
Jiyong trailed kisses down my neck, his hands playing with the hem of my shirt, inching it higher and higher. I sits up and in a second my shirt is taken off and thrown somewhere behind Jiyong who stared at me like I was a snack.
I trailed my hands down Jiyong body, the tattoo on the right side of his chest, long red hair brushing his collarbone, defined chest, abs, smooth skin. He lets out a laugh as she was pushed down onto the bed again, this time Jiyong moved fast. Trailing his down my chest all the way to the top of my shorts. He unbuttons it and slid his hand past the semi thick material and
I jumps.
I struggled to move away from Jiyong and quickly buttoned myself back up. My heart felt like it was in my throat, nerves making my body shakes. Having another person touch me felt wrong.
"Babe..."
I look at him who was staring at me with worry etched on his face.
"How long are you going to be this way? You won't even let me touch you. We've been going out for weeks." He said as he sits up from the bed.
I don't even know how to tell him what the problem was. For Christ sake, Jiyong didn't even know I used to be married and I couldn't tell him that I hasn't been touched in years by another person, just the pink dildo hidden in a secret compartment in my closet.
"Jiyong..."
"Jennie, I'm trying here. We go on dates, we text, we talk and yet it feels like I don't really know you." He stands up from the bed and made his way towards me who was trying to get his words together.
"I was married."
"Huh?"
"I was married, we got divorced but I still need time. I can't just-"
Jiyong placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer, one hand reaching up to stroke my cheeks. "It's fine, baby. We've got time, I'll wait. Whenever you're ready I would be too."
I smiled at him and pressed a kiss to his cheeks.
"Why don't we watch a little tv and I'll make you a light snack?"
It was a bit past seven when I got home. I finds Kuma siting with Lego who had his notes out, Lily was styling Luca's hair into tiny bands. I was home.
"Babies, I'm home."
"Mommy.." Lego groans. "Were no longer babies."
"My house, my rules. If I want to call you babies, I will." I smiles. I makes my way over to Kuma and pressed a kiss to his hair. I did the same to all my kids and took several pictures of Luca.
Before I could re-think about it, I pull up Lisa's contact and sends her a couple of Luca's pictures.
"Order in or cooking?"
"Pizza!" Lily gemmed, her big blue eyes focusing on me, her bottom lip pushed out. "Luca also wants pizza." My eyes drops to Kuma's who was also pouting.
I wouldn't be swayed.
"Mom..." Lego calls. "Pizza would be great." Lego was staring at me with a hopeful expression on his face. Who was me to deny them pizza? They could eat it today and for the rest of the week I could make vegetables based food as a revenge.
She glared at Kuma who snickered.
"For laughing, you're going to be the one to place the order." I shirt at Kuma who laughs and raised his hands up in surrender.
I pull out my phone when it buzzed and clicks on the message.
Fr[Lis]
he looks so adorable!!!!
I type out my reply and sends it.
To[Lis]
Obviously. He's my son.
I held onto my phone and I sits beside Lego, peeking over my shoulder to see what he was doing.
"It's my maths homework. Lego is freakishly good at maths." Kuma said.
"I know. He solves them like its primary school work." I said, resting my head on Lego's shoulder. I watched as Kuma called out their order.
" Two large chicken supreme, one medium barbecue and one small pepperoni and cheese."
My smart baby.
My phone buzzed again in my hand and I quickly unlocks it.
Fr[Lis]
Obviously.
Another message comes in.
Fr[Lis]
Any dinner plans?
To[Lis]
I've been manipulated into buying pizza.
Fr[Lis]
Kids gave you the eyes, didn't they?.
To[Lis]
I don't know what you're talking about.
I laughs as I locks the phone. I finds Kuma staring at me with a brow raised and I blew him a kiss, laughing at the way Kuma scrunched his nose. Once Lego was done, he packs up his books and made his way to his room.
Kuma slid closer to me.
"How was therapy?"
"Good. We talked about a couple of things." He replies. "How come you didn't tell me dada was seeing someone too? Her name was on the waiting board too."
"It was not my information to share. She's trying to work on a couple of things." I said, slightly shaken because for the first time in years, Kuma had called Lisa, Dada.
My phone buzzes again.
To[Lis]
Ordered pizza myself too.
Something in my hurt when I realized Lisa was probably having dinner alone. I couldn't tell her to come over and eat, they just started trying to be friend and this would be jumping over many many lines.
"Got any plans tomorrow?" I asked Kuma.
"I did all my assignments today so I'll probably just look for a job. I can't sit at home for weeks, I'll go crazy." Kuma turned to me with wide eyes. I laughed and ruffled his hair.
"Most people would want that."
"I'm not most people. You've seen my GPA."
My son's GPA has always been 5.0. Never dropping. His smart first born who, I knows will go places. I was pretty sure all my kids would go places. Like a hundred and fifty percent.
The doorbell goes off and I hands Kuma my card. It takes a couple of minutes for Kuma to walk back in with the food. He places it on the table and Lego comes in with tray filled with bottle water and cans of soda.
They feast like warriors
Talking amongst themselves and I feeding Luca bites of chicken and the cheese bread Kuma has ordered for him. I listened as they talked about the day and I gives them snippets of the children's book I was helping a friend edit.
By ten thirty, Luca had showered and was already asleep, Lego holding him. There's an old episode of Teen Titans Go playing on the tv but everyone was asleep. Well, everyone except me. Lily was resting against Kuma who had his head on my lap. It was the perfect puppy pile.
To[Lis]
Kuma knows you are seeing a therapist too.
Fr[Lis]
He must have seen my name on the waiting list.
To[Lis]
how did today go?
Fr[Lis]
Terrifying but good.
The blue line kept blinking. She wasn't sure what to type back. They had been texting since I got home a couple hours ago and to be honest, I misses Lisa. So much.
Fr[Lis]
There's a one night only production of Phantom of The Opera for next week.
Fr[Lis]
Would you like to go with me? I've got two tickets.
Fr[Lis]
Or you could go with whoever you want.
I laughs softly as I read the texts, I could imagine Lisa nervously typing and trying not to make things awkward. The thing though is... Jiyong already got them tickets and not just any, they were front row tickets.
To[Lis]
I would like to but I'm already going with someone.
Fr[Lis]
Okay
To[Lis]
It was sweet for you to ask though.
Fr[Lis]
That's me. Priya the sweet girl.
I snorted. I hasn't heard Lisa call herself Priya since we were high school. I shakes my head as I type out several laughing emojis. I put the phone on the couch and watched my children.
Luca had his thumb in his mouth, Lily sleepily scratches her nose, Lego was clutching Kuma's arm while Kuma himself was... smiling. They all looked like angels.
I'm not biased at all.
I gently out of Kuma's hold and positioned him on the rug. I first takes Luca to his room, covering him up with his blanket and placing his favorite stuffy beside him and with a kiss to the forehead I left the room.
Next was Lily and I does the same to her, pressing a kiss to her cheek before walking out of the room. Lego was a tad bit heavier than the rest but I does carry him. When I places him on the bed, I pressed a kiss to his head and pulls back.
"Miemie.."
Lego's eyes were not open but he was holding onto my pinky. I rememberers How Lego would do the same when he was little. He'd hold onto my pinky and shove his finger into his mouth, sucking.
"Yes, baby."
"Not a baby." Lego blinks his eyes open. "You're dating again."
I raises a brow at him. "And how do you know that?"
"He/She sent home flowers. They're in your room." Lego said, tilting his head a bit more to the side so he could look at me. "Kuma doesn't like not knowing who it is."
I smiles at that. My nosy children. I ran my hand through his hair, trailing down his forehead so I could bop his nose. Kuma has known who the Somi person was and he knew everyone of his sibling's friends. So not knowing Jiyong must be biting away at me.
The thing is, I know what I has with Jiyong will never grow into anything serious. It like a second voice at the back of my mind. So I couldn't bring Jiyong to the house, I couldn't dangle all the men I dated in front of all my children.
"I'll fill you both in tomorrow."
"Good. Lily wants to make flower crowns with the flowers." Lego said. "He/She got you roses. You don't like roses."
"That's because he doesn't really know me."
"Then don't let him waste your time. Find someone who does."
Lego lets out a yawn and with one last blink, falls asleep. I rubs his face as I thought about what Lego had said. Was I really letting Jiyong waste his time or was it the other way round?
I gets up from the bed and made my way to the living room. I didn't try to carry Kuma, that boy weighs a ton. Instead I wakes him and helps him to his room, covering him up and pressing a kiss to his temple. After checking the doors and making sure they were locked and the lights were off, I made my way to my room. Lying in my bed was a bouquet of long stemmed roses.
Roses.
They were one of the few things I disliked. Maybe Lego was right. Maybe I should find someone who knows me.
My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pull it out and taps on the message.
Fr[Lis]
Goodnight Jennie, Sweet dreams.
