It seemed as if time slowed down for Raven. One minute she was yelling to Beastboy about how much he hurt her and the next minute she was trying to save him from being hurt.

"BEASTBOY!" Raven heard someone scream. But she then realized that the terrified scream came from her own mouth.

Raven knew that she had to act fast. No matter how much that bonehead may have hurt her, she still cared for him deeply.

Raven jumped out of the window after Beastboy as flew faster than she ever had to reach Beastboy. When she was finally in hand reach, she quickly grabbed his hand and pulled his body towards her own. After she had him, she slowed down until she was standing at the sidewalk with an unconscious Beastboy leaning on her shoulder.

In the moonlight, Raven could finally see Beastboy clearly. He had burn marks all over his arms and legs and his clothes were torn. She also saw a little blood dripping from his wounds. He looked worse for wear.

Raven had to hold back a gasp as she saw how badly hurt Beastboy was. She then thought of the person who caused that hurt, and she was immediately enraged. She could practically feel her inner demon begging to be released from the anger and the pent up emotions she was feeling. But she pushed it back. Now wasn't the time for that type of destruction.

Gently, Raven hovered above the sidewalk with Beastboy in her arms and flew back to the broken window. She flew inside and saw that Beastboy's friend was restraining Robin with his hands behind his back.

'Robin better be lucky that I didn't get to him first!' Raven thought angrily as she gently set Beastboy down on the floor and began to heal him.

This time, Raven let her emotions guide her in healing Beastboy as a radiant blue light started to glow from her hands. She first put her hands on his chest as he had the most wounds there. She healed those to the best to her ability, but Raven knew that he still needed to get to the medical bay. So she finished healing the other wounds and they were left with very tender pink scarring.

After she finished, she stood back up and made her way over to where the rest of the team and Beastboy's friend were.

As soon as Robin's face came into her line of vision, she was angry, no furious.

"How could you Robin!" Raven yelled as soon as she was standing in front of Robin.

Robin looked at Raven and she was surprised to see not guilt on his face. In fact he actually looked relieved?

Robin sighed. "I had to Raven. He is a very dangerous criminal and he needed to be stopped."

Raven was seething. "So you had to electrocute the hell out of him!? Do you know that you could have possibly killed him?" Raven hissed.

Robin rolled his eyes. "Raven he has a healing factor. And I only set the damage level to high level since I knew that he could take that. If I put it to the dangerous setting than I could have killed him. But I didn't nor did I want to. I'm a hero Raven and he needed to be stopped."

Raven scoffed. "Yeah some hero Robin! You couldn't even trust us your team to take him down. But no instead you had to make a device that could have killed him!" Raven finished off angrily.

"Damn it Raven! Don't you see what Beastboy has done to you! He's brainwashed you into thinking you love him! He probably doesn't even like you he's just tricking you!" Robin snapped tired of Raven accusing him. Couldn't she see that Beastboy was a dangerous thief and was manipulating her?

At this point Jake's grip on Robin increased as he heard the words come out of the hero's mouth.

"Look bird-boy I don't know what kind of vendetta you have against Beastboy but I promise you that Beastboy is not the one to play with a girls emotions. So I advise you get your facts straight or else I'll test to see how much electric shock you can take from that remote of yours." Jake threatened. Nobody talked about Beastboy like that and got away with it.

Robin scoffed. "Am I supposed to be afraid of you now?" Robin said

"Is that a challenge?" Jake said darkly.

At this point, Cyborg, who was fed up with all of the fighting stopped the argument.

"Hey man both of y'all shut up! Now is not the time for this yelling match! What we need to do is get Beastboy back to the Tower and treat him." Cyborg said as he started walking towards the door.

Robin yelled after Cyborg. "No! We are not treating that villain! He is a notorious thief that has been wanted for over 5 years and I will not take him to the Tower!"

Cyborg slowly turned back around to face Robin who was now seething.

"Frankly Robin I don't even think your opinion counts right now. First off you created a device that could seriously injure a person second you use it to seriously injure said person and third you couldn't even trust your team to tell us about the device." Cyborg finished off, shaking his head bitterly.

"I thought we were past secrets Robin, but apparently not. I'm really starting to wonder if we picked the right leader to lead this team. C'mon everyone let's head to the tower."

And with that Cyborg turned back around to head towards the door.

Robin was left speechless. Couldn't anyone see that what he did was to help the team? All he wanted was to put that notorious thief behind bars, but no one could see that.

Robin felt himself being dragged by the man behind him. As he was being dragged Robin started to try and pull himself out of the grip.

"Argh! Let me go!" Robin said as he tried to release himself.

Jake just chuckled. "Not a chance Robbie." And with that the two were out the door.

The room was now quiet and the only inhabitants in it were an unconscious Beastboy, and a conscious Raven and Starfire.

Raven could only shake her head in disbelief as the words from Robin's mouth rang in her head. How could he do this? She could understand that Robin wanted to stop Beastboy but Robin has never made any device like this for any other villain. Unless there was something else going on between Robin and Beastboy that she didn't know about…

Starfire watched as her best friend Raven was deep in thought. She didn't know how friend Raven knew the villain called Beastboy. But she did know that her friend was hurting even if she did not show it. She would try to help Raven out as much as she could. And she would also have a talk with friend Robin.

Starfire walked over to where Raven was standing.

"Friend Raven?" Starfire called to Raven

Raven was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard her name being called. She looked around as saw Starfire standing not too far away from where she was standing.

"Yes Starfire?" Raven asked wearily

"I would like you to know that I would like to help you with the problems of your friend Beastboy." Starfire finished hoping that friend Raven would let her assist her with her problems.

Raven looked at Starfire and sighed. "He was a little bit more than a friend Starfire." Raven finished sadly

Starfire looked at Raven "Was he the boyfriend of yours?" Starfire asked

Raven looked on at Starfire. "Yes he was Starfire or at least he used to be."

Starfire looked at Raven now with understanding. "So you did the breaking up with Beastboy?"

Raven sighed at the question. It was a question that she didn't like bringing up. "Yes I did Starfire."

Starfire nodded. Then she asked Raven another question. "Friend Raven did you love your boyfriend Beastboy?"

Raven was startled at this question. She looked at Starfire who was patiently waiting for an answer from Raven.

Did she love Beastboy? It was a question that she had been pondering for, ever since Beastboy confessed to her that he loved her. Yes she knew that she cared for Beastboy very much, but did she love him? Love was a scary thing for her. Even feeling the amount that she felt for Beastboy was both scary and dangerous. Not only for him but for her also. But did she really love him?

Raven looked up at Starfire who was still waiting for an answer. "I-I honestly don't know Starfire." Raven answered

Starfire looked at Raven with kindness on her face. "Then I believe that perhaps you should talk with your friend Beastboy and not to push him away. I believe that he still has the feelings for your friend raven."

Raven looked at Starfire with disbelief. She never knew Starfire could be so… wise.

It was then that Starfire and Raven's communicators beeped. Starfire answered hers and Cyborg's face showed up on the screen.

"C'mon Star! We're all waiting for you and Raven down at the T-Car."

Starfire smiled at Cyborg "Ok friend Cyborg we will be down there soon." And with that the connection was gone.

Starfire then looked at Raven who was now looking at Beastboy. "I believe that it is time for us to go friend Raven. If you need me I will be down with friend Cyborg and friend Robin." And with that Starfire was out the door.

Raven thought back to Starfire's surprisingly good advice. As Raven thought about it, just yelling at Beastboy wouldn't do anything to help with their problem. That and now that she thought about it, she didn't let Beastboy explain his side of the story. Maybe it was time that they sat down and talked.

'But first things first.' Raven thought as she looked back at Beastboy who was lying on the ground.

She walked over to Beastboy and raised his left arm so that she could put is around her shoulder. She then used her strength to lift Beastboy up. After she had did that, she started walking towards the door, dragging Beastboy along with her. After this all she really wanted was a hot bath and a good meditation session.

Raven walked out of the building doors toward the T-Car. She opened the backseat door and saw that Robin and Beastboy's friend was sitting in the back. She gently laid Beastboy next to Jake and got in the car to sit next to him and slammed the door shut.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw how Robin squirmed when he was next to Beastboy and his friend. He clearly didn't want to be anywhere near them.

'Good let him feel uncomfortable.' Raven thought bitterly. 'He'll be even more uncomfortable when I talk to him at the Tower. I'm not through with him yet.'

Raven was broken from her thought when she felt the T-Car stop in front of the Tower. Raven got out of the truck and began to lift Beastboy, but was stopped by his friend.

"I got it don't worry." Beastboy's friend said as he gently picked Beastboy up and carried him in his arms.

Raven looked at him sizing him up. He didn't look to bad and if she hadn't thought Beastboy looked better, she would say that he was handsome. He didn't look too bad.

"Thanks." Raven said quietly

Jake just smiled and started walking to the door.

Before she could forget she called out to Beastboy's friend once more to figure out what his name was.

"Hey what's your name?" Raven asked

Jake turned around and smirked at her. "I'm Jacob but you can call me Jake." And with that he turned back around and continued walking.

Raven just shook her head and continued after him.

When the group got to the common room, Cyborg called to Beastboy's friend so that he could show him where to put Beastboy.

"Hey, can you bring your friend so that I can take him to the medical bay?" Cyborg asked

Jake nodded. "By the way my name is Jacob but you all can call me Jake."

Cyborg nodded. "Alright Jake well follow me and I'll take him to the med bay." And he walked out with Jake following him.

Starfire was now tired from the events that happened that night, so she decided to retire to her room for the night.

"Goodnight friends. I shall see you all in the morning." Starfire said and floated to down the hallway to her room.

Now in the common room was just Robin and Raven. One looked pissed beyond belief while the other looked dreadful and weary. You could guess which looked like what.

Raven was the first to break the tense silence. "Robin I just want to know what the hell was going through you mind when you thought this was a good idea!" Raven said her voice trembling with barely controlled anger.

Robin gulped as he saw and heard the barely controlled anger Raven had. This was going to be a long night.

"Raven I-I said that I was only thinking about the team! You don't understand how dangerous Beastboy is! He would have to be dangerous for him to escape the law time and time again for over 5 years." Robin finished off with mild irritation dripping from his tone.

Raven looked at him with contempt. "Look here Robin I'm going to tell you something and you better listen." Raven said.

Robin just looked on at Raven. "I don't care how 'dangerous' he supposedly is. If you haven't noticed Robin, I am an empath meaning I can feel emotions and read them. The emotions that I got from Beastboy when he was around me were genuine happiness, joy and nervousness. Do you think these emotions would come from a dangerous criminal?" Raven asked Robin sarcastically.

Robin scoffed at Raven. "Raven you don't understand, he could just be masking his feelings! He could be lying to you. I bet that he lied when he said that he liked you or loved you!" Robin snapped.

Before he could blink Robin felt constricting ropes around his arms as Raven constricted him with her powers.

Raven glared at him. "I believe that it would be wise Robin for you not to go there with me. I don't care what you think, but I know that what I felt from Beastboy was his genuine happiness. You can say all the crap you want but this time it was you who went to far! For Christ Sake Robin you electrocuted him! There were better ways to stop him!" Raven finished her voice rising with every word she spoke.

Raven saw the look of puzzlement on his face and just laughed bitterly. "Look Robin I don't have time to talk with you as frankly you are wasting my time and breath. I will just say this to you. Stay away from me and stay away from Beastboy or you'll be sorry." Raven finished darkly as she let Robin go and turned around to head to the med bay leaving Robin with a look of pure shock and surprise on his face.

When Raven got to the med bay she saw the Beastboy was now laying on the bed still unconscious with a IV wire coming from his vein and other various wires around his body. His shirt and jacket were completely torn off leaving his chest bare. The wounds that she had healed there were covered with a thick white paste. Raven could only think that it was a burn relief. His hair was disheveled and he had a cut on his lip.

'Azar. Even with his wounds and the paste on his chest he still looks good.' Raven thought. But as soon as the thought entered her head she chided herself for losing focus. Now wasn't the time to ogle over Beastboy.

She headed over to wear Cyborg was. She saw him looking at Beastboy's vitals.

"How is he doing Cyborg?" Raven asked worried

Cyborg sighed and turned to face Raven. "He's going to be fine Raven. But he might not wake up until maybe tomorrow afternoon. The shock that bird-boy gave him was higher then he thought. So, it's going to take longer for him to heal."

Raven just shook her head at the news. "Alright. Thanks a lot Cyborg."

Cyborg smiled at Raven. "Anything for my little sister." Cyborg replied and with that he left the med bay.

Raven watched him leave then turned back toward the room. She saw Jake sitting on a chair beside Beastboy's bed. She walked and dragged a chair to sit beside him.

A couple of minutes passed and only silence greeted the pair as they sat side by side.

Jake was the one to break the silence. "You know Beastboy really likes you." Jake said quietly

Raven was startled at the voice, but regained her senses when she heard what Jake had said.

"I know. He said that he loved me when we were arguing." Raven replied with a tinge of sadness in her voice.

Jake looked at her from the corner of his eye. "He told me. So you let bird-boy come between you guys?"

Raven chuckled "Yes I suppose you can say that. I didn't even think as to where Robin got that from or let Beastboy tell his side of the story. Now that I think about it we could have talked it out but I was just so hurt that Beastboy would lie to me." Raven finished looking at Beastboy

Jake sighed. "Look I know that you thought Beastboy was lying when he said that he loved you but you have to understand that Beastboy has had it rough for almost all of his life. His childhood was especially rough." Jake replied

Raven looked at Jake questioningly. "What happened in his childhood?"

Jake turned around to fully look at Raven. "That's not my place to tell. But when Beastboy is ready he will tell you. But don't force him to tell you or even look at him differently. He will tell you when he is ready." Jake said seriously looking Raven in the eye.

Raven thought about what Jake said and although she was now curious as to what happened in Beastboy's child hood, she knew that she didn't want to push Beastboy and wouldn't look at him any differently.

"You have my word for it." Raven replied as her eyes flicked back over to Beastboy.

'I promise Beastboy, we will get through this together and I will let you tell your side of this story.'
