After Beastboy fell asleep, Raven silently rose up from her chair and quietly exited the med bay. She then made a beeline for her room.

As soon as the doors swished behind Raven, she sat on her bed to replay the events of what transpired in Beastboy's room over. Beastboy and Robin being best friends. Even when she tried to picture the image in her mind, it didn't look right to her.

Raven got up from her sitting position on her bed and started to pace back and forth in her room. She began to think about the information that she had just learned and try to rationalize it.

Ok so Beastboy and Robin used to be friends. That would explain how they knew each other. And Beastboy ended up betraying Robin and they fell out. So I guess that's why Robin came up with that device and tried to tear Beastboy and me apart.

At the thought of her previous relationship with Beastboy, Raven's heart gave a lurch and she sighed sadly. But she quickly shook her head to focus on what she had been doing before.

Alright Raven you have plenty of time to sort out those feelings later. Right now though I need to talk to Robin and get him to talk things out with Beastboy. Even though I really want nothing to do with Robin. How could he just shock Beastboy his friend? I mean I know that they aren't friends any longer but still.

Raven shook her head and closed her eyes as the events from the two nights ago flashed in her mind. Hearing Beastboy scream in pain like that snapped something inside of her and she knew that she couldn't lose him. But what was worse was knowing that Robin, her leader and friend was the one to cause that scream. It made her sick just knowing that Robin could easily do that.

No matter how I feel right now, even though I personally don't want to see Robin, I know that him and Beastboy talking will smoothen things out for the better. So that means that I need to be professional and not let my personal feelings get in the way.

Raven was about to go and talk to Robin when she suddenly remembered that she promised Beastboy that she wouldn't bring this subject up to Robin at all.

Raven groaned and realized that she couldn't approach Robin with this subject.

Then how on Earth am I going to get Robin to talk to Beastboy?

Raven continued to pace around in her room and try to come up with a solution to this predicament that she now found herself in.

Raven eventually gave up pacing and sat back down on her bed. She ran her fingers through her shoulder length hair and sighed. How do I get myself into these situations?

Raven then heard a knock on her door. She rose from her bed and went to open the door. She cracked her door open a bit to a slightly nervous and somber Robin staring right back at her.

Raven raised her eyebrow and was about to ask Robin what he wanted when Robin spoke.

"Hey Raven look I know that you may not want anything to do with me at this moment-"

"That would be an understatement."

Robin glared at the interruption. "Anyway I know that you don't want to see me at the moment but I was wondering if we could talk about… you know… Beastboy."

Raven saw this as an opportunity to talk to Robin about him talking to Beastboy. This is a good time to see if I can get boy wonder to talk to Beastboy. But I have to play my cards right or this could blow up in my face.

Raven nodded her head. "Ok what is there to talk about?"

"Can we go in your room?"

Raven sighed and opened her door wider to let Robin come inside. Once they were in and the door closed, Raven went to sit on her bed. Leaving Robin still standing.

"Alright Robin, talk." Raven said curtly.

The boy wonder sighed and looked down at the floor for a while before looking back up at Raven.

"I wanted to say that I'm sorry for everything that I have done."

Raven raised her eyebrows at that but motioned for him to continue.

Robin continued. "I know that just saying sorry won't undo the damage that I have done, but I just wanted to let you know that I am truly sorry for acting the way I did. I didn't act like a leader and instead followed my impulses instead of thinking things through. And on top of that I hurt a criminal badly when there was no reason for it. Can you forgive me Raven?"

Though Raven didn't show it, she was a shocked. Sure she was expecting an apology from the Titans leader, but she didn't think of all of this. And from his emotions, she could tell that he was truly regretful about his actions. But, that didn't mean that she would forgive him so easily. He would need to earn that.

Finally Raven spoke. "Robin I appreciate your apology, and I can tell that you are genuine but I don't think I can forgive you so easily for what you have done. There were plenty of times when you could have stopped, but you didn't. I know that everyone makes mistakes, but you have to understand that when you lead a team, making mistakes like these isn't showing leadership. In fact Robin, it seemed like you were personally targeting Beastboy."

Robin's eyes went wide for a split second when Raven said this. He then schooled his facial expression to a nonchalant expression. "What do you mean targeting him personally? I don't know him personally. All I know is that he is a criminal who is a notorious thief and who needed to be stopped."

Raven scoffed. "Robin you can't lie to me I'm an empath remember? I know that you aren't telling me the truth and that you were in fact targeting Beastboy. So why were you targeting Beastboy?" Come on Robin just say it since I can't. For once just be honest with your past.

Robin started to panic on the inside a bit. Damn I can't let her know the real story! But she's right when she says that she can tell when I'm lying and I don't think it would be good if I lied to her again. Looks like I have to tell the truth this time.

"Alright Raven you're right, I was targeting Beastboy. But you don't know the history between me and Beastboy."

Raven smirked internally at the irony. Oh you don't know the half of it Robin

The Titans leader continued. "I mean even though it doesn't look like it, we used to be best friends. And in fact he used to be practically my only friend. Well that is until he betrayed me." Robin finished off angrily

Raven decided that now would be the best time to try and convince Robin to talk to Beastboy.

"What did he do to betray you Robin?" Raven asked with feigned interest.

Robin looked at Raven and she could see the internal battle surging within him as he decided whether or not he wanted to tell Raven the whole story.

Come one Robin so I can get you and Beastboy to make up!

Finally Robin sighed as a weary expression crossed his face. "Beastboy betrayed me by becoming a thief."

"What? How did that happen?" Raven asked already knowing the answer.

The boy wonder sighed as he came to sit next to Raven on the edge of her bed.

"I honestly don't know. I know that things in his home life weren't the best, but I didn't think that he needed to go to thievery as a resort. I would have thought that he would come to me! I was his friend one moment and then the next I was his enemy on opposite sides of the law! I didn't want to become his enemy but I had to in order for me to do my job."

Robin continued. "He was my best and only friend and he just left. I remember when we were younger that we had promised to stay best friends. Not all promises can be kept as it seems like." Robin chuckled bitterly.

Though Raven wasn't entirely happy with Robin at the moment, that didn't mean that she didn't feel any sympathy for him. She didn't know what that felt like losing a best friend, but she could try to make Robin feel a bit better.

"Robin, I'm sure that he had a good reason for doing what he did-"

Robin suddenly stood up and had an angry expression.

"So you're taking his side now?" Robin said angrily.

Raven stood up calmly though she was getting a bit irritated at Robin's anger.

"Robin that's not what I said-"

"Well then what are you saying?" Robin said flailing his arms about.

Raven narrowed her eyes. "I'll let you know what I'm saying if you would let me finish!" The purple-haired sorceress finished with signs of annoyance in her tone.

Robin then blushed slightly and rubbed the back of his head with a sheepish expression on his face. "Sorry." He muttered.

Raven sighed. "It's fine. Now will you let me explain?"

Robin nodded his head and looked at Raven.

"Thank you. I was trying to say that maybe Beastboy had a reason for doing the things he did. Did you ever try to talk to him to hear his side of the story?"

Robin sighed. "No I didn't. But I mean what could have been so awful for him to turn to being a criminal? I don't get it. I mean why didn't he talk to me?" The leader finished a bit sadly.

Raven's eyes softened just a bit at the sadness in Robin's tone. "I can't answer any of those things but you and I both know someone who can." Raven said trying to get Robin to see where she was getting at.

Fortunately for Raven, Robin did catch on. "Raven I know what you're hinting at. But I can't go and talk to him. I'm not good at dealing with this type of stuff. Plus I haven't properly talked to him in five years. A lot can happen in that amount of time."

Raven rolled her eyes. Leave it to Robin to face dangerous villains on a daily basis but can't face talking to one person.

"Robin how would you know if you don't try? Do you really want to see him go knowing that you had the chance to make things right between the two of you?" Raven asked

Robin shook his head. "No I suppose I wouldn't. Maybe I'll talk to him tomorrow when he's fully healed."

Raven nodded her head in approval. "Alright Robin."

Robin nodded his head and began to leave Raven's room when he suddenly stopped.

"Oh and Raven?" Robin said

"What?"

"I really am sorry for everything." Robin said looking down

Raven sighed. "I know Robin, but you should really be saying that to Beastboy since he was the one that you shocked. And I know that you want me to forgive you right now, but I can't do that right now Robin. That doesn't mean that I will stop caring for you as my leader and friend. But I just can't. I hope that you can understand that." The Titans heroine finished.

Robin shook his head in understanding. "I understand that and it does seem fair. I respect your choice and I will try harder to become a better leader and friend."

Raven nodded. "I'll hold you up to that Robin."

Robin gave a small smile. "No worries Raven. Anyway I should be heading back. But I just want to thank you for this. And could we please not tell anyone about this?" Robin finished off slightly nervous.

Raven smirked. "I'll try to hold my tongue." She said dryly

Robin gave a sigh of relief. "Thanks. See you later Raven." And with that Robin opened the door and left with the door swishing closed behind him.

Raven then fell on her bed suddenly exhausted with the emotional stress she had been dealing with today.

There was only one thought on her mind when before she fell asleep.

Mission accomplished.
