And I also want to thank the people who wished my mom and auntie to get well. I really appreciate that. Anyway Zype will you do the honors?
Zype: No prob IP! IntelligentPrincess does not in any shape size or form own Teen Titans. She just owns the ideas.
Me: Thank you Zype now enjoy ;)
The sun was shining brightly through the windows of the med bay. The rays gently hit Beastboy's face, causing him to wake from his sleep. He cracked open his eyes and yawned as he slowly sat up in his bed and stretched.
Thanks to his powers, he was now fully healed though there were scars from the burns. But he would rather take the scars then to not be able to move fully.
He looked around and found that he was indeed alone and figured that Raven had gone back to her room after he fell asleep. He already missed her and it had only been a day.
Beastboy sighed and thought back to all of the things that he told Raven. He knew that he was going to tell her some of his past someday, but he didn't realize that it would be so soon. Then again, it didn't matter because he didn't regret it one bit.
The thief then thought back to Robin and how he shocked him. He wasn't going to lie, that hurt like hell. But it wasn't just the physical pain he felt but also the emotional pain too. He didn't realize that Robin thought of him as a dangerous criminal, though Beastboy wasn't surprised. If he thought about it, he really could be seen as a dangerous criminal due to his powers and all.
Beastboy was broken out of his thoughts by the sound of the door creaking open. Beastboy turned to his left and saw no other then Robin. This was the same Robin who was not only his (former) best friend, and now enemy but the same Robin who helped him through the tough times during his childhood.
The two boys stared at each other until Robin broke eye contact and closed the door quietly. He then went to sit in the chair Raven was sitting in the day before. The silence between them was thick from unsaid words and broken promises.
Beastboy broke the silence. "What are you doing here Robin?"
Robin sighed. "Well I came to see how you were doing and to… talk to you."
Beastboy had a feeling on what Robin wanted to talk about. "Talk to me about what?"
Beastboy saw the boy wonder rub the back of neck and sigh. He never was one for talking about how he felt.
" Beastboy… why? Why did you become a thief in the first place?"
Beastboy dreaded this question but answered this question nonetheless.
"Robin my home life wasn't the best and you knew that. But you didn't know how bad it was because I only told you some of the things that were going on in my house."
Robin was confused and it showed on his face. "But why didn't you tell me? I could have helped you Beastboy! I mean you know that I would've helped you." Robin finished off angrily.
Beastboy sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "I didn't want your pity Robin. I didn't want you to feel sorry for me because I can handle and take care of myself. I just didn't want to be seen as weak."
Robin scoffed. " Weak? Beastboy why the hell would I think that you're weak? Man you're like one of the strongest people I know. Especially going through all the shit that you went through in your home life. I mean I don't know a lot of people who can take verbal abuse, or having your parents ignore you like you don't exist."
Beastboy gave a weak smile. "Thanks Rob but that still doesn't mean that it was right for me to have betrayed you like that." The thief finished off sadly
Robin sighed. "I won't lie Beastboy when I found out that it was you who was robbing that store, I was pretty hurt. I mean you were my best friend and pretty much my only friend and to know that you were my enemy… that hurt."
Beastboy nodded his head. "I know I saw the look on your face. I swear man that I didn't want to become a thief but I felt like I had to if I was going to survive in that hell I called home."
Both of the boys chuckled at that. Beastboy continued.
"I was planning on not ever telling you but I guess I didn't think about you becoming a hero. But you did and then you caught me and things just went downhill."
Robin smiled a bit. "Yeah you can say that again. But I have another question for you."
"Shoot."
Robin looked at Beastboy seriously. "Do you still want to stay a thief?"
Beastboy looked down at his hands as he thought about the question. In reality Beastboy had been thinking about this question for a while now. The only reason he got into the thieving business anyway was to get money for himself. But then he stayed in it for the rush and excitement and of course for the goodies. But now that didn't seem as exciting it once did 5 years ago when he was a scrawny 13 year old. If he was being honest, running from the cops was getting kind of tiring for him. But he just didn't know if he could give up the life he has had for a while now.
Finally Beastboy looked up at Robin and answered. "I really don't know Robin. I mean I will admit that being a thief isn't as fun and exciting as it used to be. I mean I do still feel a rush but it's died down a lot since when I was first starting out. But then again, I can't really think about giving up this life when it's pretty much what I've been doing for a while you know?"
Robin nodded his head. "I can understand that. But I hope you know that if you were to still stay a thief, I would have to arrest you and put you in jail."
Beastboy smiled at that. "I don't think you need to worry about that seeing as I can transform into the smallest of animals. That's why the police have never caught me. Or at least not yet."
"Well I know that. Or at least I do now. But it's just that I don't want to have to keep arresting you Beastboy. I mean you are my best friend."
Beastboy's eyes went wide. "Wait, we're still best friends?"
Robin nodded though he now looked a little nervous. "Yeah or at least I hope that we can go back to being best friends again. I know that it may have seemed like I hated you, but I didn't. I was just angry and bitter for having to see you as an enemy and for losing you as a friend."
Beastboy's eyes remained wide until he shook his head and started to smile. "Dude hell yeah I still want to be your best friend. I mean who else has gone through the awesome things like we have?"
Robin rolled his eyes. "You mean always getting us in trouble and having me get grounded for weeks on end? Then yeah those were definitely awesome times." Robin finished dryly.
Beastboy laughed. "Yeah those were the days."
A silence passed between the two, as they were both lost in deep thought. Robin then cleared his throat.
"Beastboy."
"Yeah?"
"Look man I also wanted to say that I'm sorry for shocking you a couple of nights ago. That was way out of line for me to do even if you were a criminal at the time. I honestly don't know what came over me and I'm just really sorry."
Beastboy nodded and smiled. "It's cool dude. We all make mistakes. I mean look at me; I'm the one who ended our friendship in the first place. So it's cool I'll forgive you if you can forgive me for ending our friendship?"
Robin smiled. "Alright BB it's a deal." And with that Beastboy got up out of bed to give Robin a man hug.
When they parted Robin sniffed the air and wrinkled his nose. "And dude by the way you need to shower."
Beastboy just laughed, glad to have his best friend back.
After Robin showed Beastboy where the bathroom was and gave him some of his old grey sweatpants and a black wife beater, Beastboy went to go take a hot shower. After he got out of the shower he went to go throw his dirty clothes in his backpack and started to walk around the tower a bit. He found himself at the kitchen and looked to see no other then Raven sitting at the table with a cup of her herbal tea in hand and a book on the table.
Beastboy took the time just to watch her. Even in nothing but her regular leotard and cloak she still looked beautiful. The light from the kitchen lights above reflected perfectly on Raven and made it look like she was glowing.
"You can stop staring at me now Beastboy." Raven said her voice startling Beastboy out of his thoughts.
"Oh… um… sorry." Beastboy said as slightly blushed he rubbed his arm absently.
Raven rolled her eyes but there was a faint smile upon her face. "If you want you can come sit at the table. I don't bite."
Beastboy smiled and went to go sit down in the chair next to Raven at the table. Raven turned to face Beastboy and couldn't help but stare at him. Him being in a wife beater didn't help since it just seemed to enhance his chest muscles and biceps even more.
Beastboy caught her staring and smirked. "What do I have something on me Raven?" Beastboy asked teasingly.
Raven blushed slightly and rolled her eyes. "No Beastboy. But I was thinking if we could talk?"
Beastboy nodded. "Yeah we do need to talk don't we?" Beastboy asked
"Yes we do." Raven replied after taking a sip of tea.
Beastboy spoke first. "Raven first off I want to say that I am truly sorry for breaking your heart. I hope you know that I would never do that to you ever and that it hurt me just as it hurt you to know that I broke your heart. And for that I will always be regretful of."
Raven would be lying if she said that she wasn't touched. Nobody had ever said anything like that to her. Yet here was Beastboy turning her world upside down again.
Raven smiled at him. "I know Beastboy and I also know that it wasn't all of your fault and that Robin was partially to blame for. But thank you for the apology. And I suppose that I owe you an apology also."
Beastboy had a dumbfounded expression on his face. "Apologize to me? For what?"
Raven sighed as she took another sip of her tea. "I didn't hear you're side of the story. I just completely disregarded you and ignored what you had to say. And for that I'm sorry."
Beastboy smiled softly at Raven. "It's alright Raven. I mean it didn't help that I didn't tell you everything. But if it makes it any better I was going to tell you eventually."
Raven smiled and nodded her head. "Beastboy?" Raven said
Beastboy looked at her. "Yeah Rae?"
Beastboy saw Raven get slightly nervous as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"D-Do you still like me?" Raven asked a bit timidly
Beastboy's heart melted when he heard the question. This girl really is perfect even if she doesn't see it.
"Raven I don't like you. See… the truth is…. I love you." Beastboy finished off blushing slightly and looking down at his feet.
Raven, though she shouldn't be, was surprised. Just hearing that he loved her was an incredible feeling to have. She never had anyone say those three words to her. And hearing them from Beastboy no less made it even special.
Beastboy on the other hand took the silence as a bad sign and started to backtrack.
"R-Raven look it's ok if you don't feel the same way anymore but-" Beastboy was interrupted by Raven gently lifting his chin up to face her.
"Beastboy I love you too." Raven said while blushing slightly.
Beastboy was shocked but that was soon replaced with a goofy smile that now adorned his face.
"Really? You love me?" Beastboy asked faintly
Raven smiled faintly. "I really do Beastboy." She said softly.
For a while they just stared into the other's eyes. They were looking at the passion and newfound love that was in the other's eyes. And finally after what seemed like a lifetime, they kissed.
This kiss was nothing like the first one. While the first kiss was a fast and passionate, this kiss was slow and loving but still passionate all the same.
They both felt the electricity from the other's touch as Raven put her hands around Beastboy's neck and he on her waist. They were both on cloud nine.
When the need for air became too great, the teenagers both pulled back panting slightly but each love dazed grins as they looked at each other.
"Wow." Beastboy said being the first to come from the haze he was feeling from the kiss.
Raven nodded her head in agreement. "Wow is right. I forgot how that felt." She replied.
Beastboy swallowed. "So… does that mean that we're back together?" Beastboy asked hopefully.
Raven rolled her eyes good-naturedly and raised her eyebrows. "What do you think Beastboy?"
Beastboy smiled. "I take that as a yes?" He said playfully
Raven smirked. "You would be correct." And with that Raven pulled Beastboy in for another kiss.
And that's it for this chapter my lovely readers! As you know this will be the last chapter before the epilogue. Yes I know 'tis a very sad time for this to be ending so soon but I promise to be back with more. But tune in to the epilogue next chapter and please review!
