Author's notes: no I haven't forgotten about this story! So here's and update to prove it, I hope it's alright but it's like 4:00 am here and I'm half asleep, but a certain someone won't let me rest until I finished to ta-dah!
"What?!" the other mages shouted as they looked at Gray who was still sitting up in the bed
"You're kidding right ice princess" Natsu asked with a large grin
"Who's ice princess?" Gray asked as he looked over at the fire dragon slayer with a blank expression
"It's you duh!" Natsu replied "god Gray you sure are stupid" he laughed but no one else joined in
"Gray-san" Wendy asked timidly as she stepped closer to his bed
"Do you remember anything?" Mira asked softly
"I don't remember anything" Gray groaned as he held his head
"Oh come on, quit fooling around Gray" Natsu joked as he walked over
"Who's Gray" Gray asked as he looked at the other mages
"You're Gray!" Natsu shouted when Lucy slapped him around the head
"Don't be so loud" she hissed "isn't it obvious? He can't remember who he is"
"Gray" Erza whispered "don't you remember us? We're your teammates"
"Teammates?" Gray repeated "sorry but I don't remember any of you" and at that comment Erza's breath was caught in her throat he doesn't remember us? He doesn't remember me…
"Hey asshole how can you not remember us!" Natsu roared
"Maybe I don't want to remember you!" Gray shot back
"Well I'll make you remember" Natsu shouted as his fists were surrounded by flames
"WHAT THE HELL!" Gray cried his eyes were wide as he stared at Natsu's hands which were currently alight. He quickly jumped up on the bed and flew past Natsu and backed away from the door "stay away from me!" he shouted as he grabbed a candle stick
"Tch what's up with ice boxers" Natsu muttered
"Idiot!" Lucy wacked his head "If he doesn't remember anything he doesn't know about magic either"
"Oh" Natsu mouthed
"You guys are all nuts!" Gray declared as he opened the door he was about to make a break until-
"GRAY-SAMA!" Juvia cried as she jumped on Gray giving him a bone crushing bear hug
"Gah!" Gray shouted as he fell against one of the guild hall pillars
"Juvia was so worried! Juvia thought that Gray-sama was going to-" the water mage's voice broke as she carried on crying against the clueless Gray
"Erm are you ok" Gray asked as he rubbed her back "no need to cry" he whispered, Juvia looked up at him with wide eyes
"G-Gray-sama" Juvia stuttered and blushed when she realised how close she was to the shirtless ice mage
"What's going on, he's acting pretty cosy with Juvia" Cana muttered
"he's lost his memories" Mira replied while Erza clenched her fists why do I feel so annoyed she thought as she looked away from the ice and water mages
"What" Cana shouted which made Gray look over at her "you don't remember anything?" she asked and he shook his head
"I still say I could knock some memories into him" Natsu grinned earning a smack from Cana
"It's knock some sense into someone" Cana corrected and then grinned "but that doesn't seem to work for you"
"Ha" Gray laughed and Natsu glared at him
"Something funny ice princess? You want a fight?!" he questioned raising his flaming fist
"Woah not that again" Gray shouted as he escaped from Juvia's grasp
"Stop scaring him" Lucy said in an annoyed tone
"Hehe scaring Gray, this is classic" Natsu laughed "wonder what else I could get away with" he was about to step forward until Erza blocked his path
"Try anything and I will end you" Erza said in a dark tone making Natsu and the others gulp "do you understand" Natsu nodded rapidly and took a few steps back
"Look I think I should leave" Gray said as he started heading towards the door
"But where are you going to go?" Cana asked "if you don't remember anything"
"This isn't helping the situation" Gray stated as he was at the door "I'm sorry but-"
"Well you don't seem dying to me" a voice said in a flat tone from outside which made the guild mates look up including Gray who looked outside with wide eyes
"That voice" he muttered
"I should have known, a student of Ul couldn't be taken down so easily" Lyon chuckled as he walked in
"Ul" Gray whispered when suddenly he gripped his hair "ah!" he cried as he fell to his knees
"Gray!" Erza shouted as she ran towards him closely followed by Juvia and the others
"What happened?" Lyon asked as he was also at the ice mage's side
"Lyon is that you" Gray said as he looked at the silver haired "damn you've aged" he poked the older students face
"What the-" Lyon started but was cut off as the other mages cheered
"He's starting to remember!" Lucy smiled happily
"About damn time" Cana muttered even though she wore a small smile
"What's wrong with him?" Lyon asked as he raised an eyebrow
"When he woke up he couldn't remember anything" Wendy said in a very serious tone
"Well that explains why he's giving me a weird look" the other ice mage muttered
"Lyon, Ul. Oh my god she died for me!" the black haired boy cried out as guilt washed over him once again "and my parents died too" Gray stood up as he clenched his fists
"Don't blame yourself" Lyon said as he placed his hand on Gray's shoulder "that happened a long time ago" Gray nodded
"At least I'm starting to remember who I am" Gray said as he looked around once more
"Do you remember us yet?" Mira asked but once again Gray shook his head
"I've heard that different things can trigger someone to remember something, like Lyon mentioning Ul" Lucy said thoughtfully
"Well I can't believe that the stupid ice princess can't remember me kicking his butt all these years"
"In your dreams flame brain" Gray shot back and then spun around to face the dragon slayer "wait" he paused and his face lit up once more he looked down at his chest and placed his hand over his guild mark "fairy tail" he said to himself
"He's remembering!" Cana shouted and Erza smiled looks like he can't forget about fairy tail so easily, so does that mean he remembers us?
"Natsu, Lucy, Mira, Cana, Juvia and Erza" Gray said as he pointed at each one of them and Erza held her breath when he said her name and looked at her
"Trust bickering with Natsu to jog his memory" Cana laughed
"Finally!" Natsu shouted "now we can fight, I have to prove I'm stronger than you"
"I can remember your names but I still don't really know who you are sorry but that's all I have right now" Gray said and Erza looked away sadly so he still doesn't remember us and that means that he doesn't remember what he said before the explosion
"Don't push yourself Gray" Mira said softly "you've already remembered so much"
"Yes I think you should just rest" Wendy added "you are still injured"
"But I don't remember what from" Gray groaned as he rubbed the back of his head "but I guess it didn't end well if it caused me to lose my memory"
"It could have been a lot worse for us if you didn't do what you did" Lucy said and she hugged Gray which made Juvia's eyes narrow
"Love rival" the rain woman muttered angrily as Lucy moved back
"Juvia-Chan it's a pleasure to see you again" Lyon cut in as he walked over to her
"Urgh not this again" Gray muttered and then blinked "huh what does that mean?"
"Gray-sama is jealous!" Juvia squealed as Erza gritted her teeth Gray jealous of Lyon with Juvia? Tch no she thought angrily
"Eh I'm not jealous" Gray shouted quickly as he backed away and Erza smirked thought so
"Well this isn't awkward" Cana muttered
"Come on Gray-sama you need to rest so Juvia will take you home" she declared as she grabbed Gray's arm much to Lyon's and Erza's horror and walked quickly out of the guild
"Wait; how do you know where I live?!" Gray questioned in a slightly worried tone when he was out the door
"No Juvia-Chan" Lyon cried as he ran out after them
"Some rest will do him good" Wendy said "you three should also get some rest as well. It will help heal your injuries" she added which made Natsu clear his throat
"Yea I'm pretty hungry and tired, come on Lucy lets go eat at your place"
"What? Why at my place?" Lucy questioned but it was too late because the pink haired dragon slayer was already out of the door "wait come back!" she cried as she followed him "don't eat all my food!"
"Aren't you going to go as well?" Mira questioned Erza who never replied; instead she still stared blankly out of the guild hall with her fists were at her side
"She doesn't look too happy" Cana muttered to Mira as they looked at the armoured mage whose jaw was clenched
Why is Juvia taking Gray home? Anyone else could have done that; I could have taken him home! Erza thought angrily as she could feel her face heat up why does she have to be so close to Gray, he's never returned her feelings. Except from hugging her just a few minutes ago…wait what if he falls in love with her while he doesn't remember everything, while he doesn't remember what he said to me…
"Is everything ok?" Mira asked making Erza jump slightly when she realised the take-over mage was standing right next to her
"Yes" Erza replied
"doesn't look that way" Cana added "but it's going to be alright now, we were all really scared for a while but Gray's alive and that's all that matters" Erza nodded and looked away feeling guilty I should be feeling like this, I can't control what happens maybe Gray will change his mind. It's not like I ever replied and said how I feel…
How I feel. I don't even know how I feel about Gray she walked away from the two mages "I'm going back to the dorms" Erza stated as she started to walk off
"Wait" Cana shouted as she ran up to catch up with the red head "I think I'm going to call it a day as well. I'll walk back to the dorms with you"
"You don't have to" Erza said quickly great, I thought I'd have some time to think
"No I want to, plus I need to ask you some things" Cana said with a grin which made Erza raise an eyebrow what does Cana want to know, we don't talk that much Erza thought
"It's about Gray" Cana stated which made Erza stop dead in her tracks oh god what does she know?
