Aelita, Jeremie, and the group were currently searching through the Hermitage, trying find any clues related to Franz Hopper's work. Aelita soon found a photo of her and Franz Hopper as she showed it to the group.

"Hey, there's some kind of code on the blackboard in the background." Shantae said.

"Yeah but no telling if it…." Lan said as they heard movement upstairs. "What the?" he said as they hurried up where they saw Flux searching for something.

"Looking for something?" A2 asked.

"Just searching for uh…stuff." Flux said.

"Is this connected to…Reality Check?" Lan asked as Flux stopped. "I know you and her are connected."

"Uh…not sure what you mean." Flux said.

"Well, she did seem very interested in you for some reason." David said.

"Just come clean." Jexi said.

"Ugh…fine." Flux said. "Truth is…I'm the reason she has the powers to travel through time and space."

"Wait, what?!" Ethox exclaimed in shock. "How did you do that?"

"Well…years ago, I found people who knew things about me they couldn't possibly know. Reality Check was one of them. She was a test subject for a reality warping ability. However, she was very chaotic cause she wanted to do hero stuff or help heroes. So…I knocked her out and framed her for a crime where she was arrested." Flux said.

"How could you do something like that?!" Shantae asked.

"Maybe we've never met. Hi, I'm Amadeus Flux and I'm a villain. Kinda my thing." he said.

"You think this is a joke? You had a girl arrested for an unfair crime." Ace said.

"It isn't a joke to him Ace. He takes everything he does seriously." Hope said.

"Yes. However, it was before the titan stuff that I learned this new prison was built and a number of my projects and test subjects were being transferred there." Flux said. "I knew I would get traced back, so I invaded and attacked that prison."

"And in doing so, you released 10 of the most dangerous criminals in the Multiverse." Rebecca said.

"Um, he released more than just them." David said.

"He released everyone in there. Including me, Hitomi and Nat." DW typed. "But what I wanna know is, do you have any idea what Reality Check's endgame is once everyone is here?"

"Look, I have no idea what she wants. That girl is a mystery. Though…given what I know of her from some interviews, she could be planning to bring in some big bad to make things…interesting." Flux said.

"Well, she did seem very…theatrical, to put it mildly." Sachiko said.

"Something more dangerous than what we've been dealing with since we've been here?" Ajna asked.

"Hell if I know." Flux said. "Have you noticed anything weird with XANA and his cronies?"

"Well, the biggest thing we've noticed is that William's been more up for conversation unlike the last time we were here in this point." Hope said.

"Well no surprise considering he was made to be Lyoko's guardian." Flux said.

"Lyoko's guardian?" 9S asked. "But that doesn't make sense."

"Wait, hold on. Wasn't Franz Hopper the one who created Lyoko in the first place?" David asked. "Then that would make XANA… No way… How could I not have seen this before now?"

"David, are you trying to say that Franz Hopper created XANA?" 9S asked.

"Oh yeah. He did." Flux said.

"I don't believe it…" Aelita gasped. "But then, if he really did create XANA, then what you said is true. He was meant to be the guardian of Lyoko, not a hostile AI to humanity."

"But something went wrong." Mari said. "What could've caused XANA to become corrupted?"

"Good question…and I will answer, when hell freezes over!" Flux said as he jumped out the window.

"Knew that was coming." Hope said as Flux was seen running away. "But, we did get lots of good info from him. XANAs true function, what Reality Check's endgame could be and how she got here… it's all coming together."

"Hopefully we'll get info from this program." Jeremie said as they headed back to their respective destinations.

The school groups were at lunch as Odd didn't seem to be eating as much.

"Odd, you only took two rounds of seconds. Are you sick?" Yumi asked.

"Or is it about a girl?" Simon asked.

"Simon gets it. Yes. I have been chatting with a girl online and later, I'll be sending her a picture of me. One of the perfect ones." Odd said.

"I honestly can't believe you're still fishing for girls." Mermista said.

"Hey! If this goes as planned, Anais will finally be the one." Odd said.

"Why do I get the feeling you're going to lead us to yet another disaster?" David asked.

"It has been a recurring theme." Shantae said.

Aelita then joined the group at the table.

"Jeremie still at the Hermitage?" Yumi asked.

"He's in his room, he's not hungry." Aelita said.

"Guess that means you guys struck paydirt." Ulrich said.

"In more ways than one. We found a photo that could contain something useful." Aelita said. "But we also encountered Flux, and he revealed a few things about that Reality Check girl… and about XANA. He told us he was supposed to be Lyoko's guardian."

Ulrich scoffed it off. "No way. Are you guys seriously gonna buy anything that guy sells?"

"I wish we could dismiss it as just another wild goose chase he's setting us up on. But given everything that has happened so far, we can't deny the possibility." David said.

"After everything he's put us through? Hard to believe." Yumi said.

"Believe us, up until now, we thought the exact same thing." Sachiko said.

"Whether we like it or not…it's the truth." Shantae said.

"There is no denying that there are still a few unanswered questions." Kokoro said.

"Well, there's no question that after what I do, I'll finally get Anais to notice me." Odd said getting up to leave.

"There's no way he's not gonna screw up big time, is there?" Mermista asked.

"What do you think?" Saki asked.

And everyone's suspicions were right. After Jeremie was done on his computer, Odd worked to send his email to Anais. But in his haste, he accidentally sent the picture of Aelita and Franz Hopper to the last person that was meant to see it… Sissi.

It wasn't long after that the Lyoko warriors, alongside some of the heroes, were in Principal Delmas's office with Jim and the Latter.

"You heard the principal young lady, no more fun and games! I've had tougher nuts to crack than you. So, last name, first name and occupation!" Jim demanded.

"Jim, stop it." Elisabeth said.

"Uh…Stone, Aelita um…girl?" Aelita asked.

"Jim, there's no need to be so aggressive." Delmas said. "I just want to ask some questions. What I find surprising is the presence of both Aelita Stones and Franz Hopper in this picture. Makes me wonder if your last name is really Stones."

"Yes, my name is Aelita Stones, daughter of Franz and Anthea Stones." she said.

"And are you really Canadian, and truly orphaned?" Delmas asked.

"Yes." Aelita said.

"And is Odd Della Robbia really your cousin?" Delmas continued.

"Yes, sir." Aelita said.

"Uh, Mr. Delmas? If I could interject for a bit. Jeremie mentioned that you once told them Franz Hopper taught at Kadic about 9 years ago." Adora said. "In the photo, Aelita looks to be about 12 years old. So if that's really her in the picture, she would be about 22 years old now, not 13."

"So that can't be Aelita in the photo, because she here is 13 years old, and not 22." Jeremie added. "Thus concludes the fact that Aelita is not related to Franz Hopper, and all facts stated about her are true."

"Hmm…well…until I can sort all this out, you all won't mind spending the rest of the day in the library, will you?" Delmas said. " Under Jim's supervision of course."

"Oh…great." Jim murmured.

The group was lead into the library as they did their own thing before Jeremie spotted something. "Activated tower."

"How are we supposed to get outta here with Mr. I'd Rather Not Talk About It watching us?" Mermista asked.

They soon saw Delmas walking in, the eyes of XANA in his eyes. "I would like to speak with Ms. Stones alone. Jim, make sure no one leaves." he said as he took Aelita with him.

"Well, now we know XANA's attack." Kaminari said. "Okay…I got an idea." he said as he approached Jim before shocking the man.

"A little excessive, but it'll do." Jeremie said. "Now after Delmas." he said as they ran out.

"Did you really have to shock him?" Double D asked.

"We're gonna need an RTTP anyway so no reason not to." Kaminari said.

Double D sighed. "True. We do need to make sure Aelita's accidental exposure doesn't happen."

"The bigger problem is what XANA's after with Aelita. Jim's a piece of cake." Jeremie said.

The group arrived at the factory to find the possessed Delmas waiting for them outside the elevator.

"He looks like he does when he has a fight with his daughter." Odd said.

"All of you go on ahead s'il vous plaît. I'll hold him here." Ash said.

"Oh no, you're not playing the hero alone, Ash." Odd said. "We've got this. You guys go!"

"Good luck!" Ulrich said as they headed down to the Supercomputer where Jeremie got on the horn.

"Aelita's in the forest sector. Sachiko, go with Yumi and Ulrich. I have a feeling XANA will waste no expenses today." Jeremie said.

"Got it. Leave it to me." Sachiko said.

"See you in the Forest Sector, Sachiko." Crusadermon said from the Galaxy King.

Inside Lyoko, Aelita was waking up before the Scyphozoa wrapped its tentacles around her.

"You four better hurry. The Scyphozoa is here." Jeremie said as the four arrived on Lyoko.

"The Scyphozoa? Oh that's not good." Sachiko said.

Sachiko then spotted Skeith nearby it.

"Lord XANA, the creature has captured her." Skeith said. "You are clear for entry."

"Excellent." the voice of XANA came from the Scyphozoa. "Keep the other organics off me while I search."

"As you wish." Skeith agreed as he stood between the heroes and his master, who began uploading himself into Aelita's mind. "So you've finally come, but you're still not ready." he said before materializing a scythe.

"Don't be so sure." Sachiko said. "Guys, leave Skeith to me."

"Got it." Ulrich said as some Krabs spawned. "Guess we're having shellfish."

Meanwhile…

Aelita found herself standing in a black void.

"Jeremie? Anyone? Can you hear me?" Aelita called out, her voice echoing.

"They cannot hear you here." a voice said behind, the girl turning around to see the symbol of XANA floating. "Greetings, Aelita."

"XANA? You're… speaking to me?" Aileta asked.

"Why are you so surprised? I'm a highly advanced AI. Have you all just assumed that I wasn't capable of speech?" XANA asked. "That isn't the point however. I want answers, and you have them. Waldo's archives."

"But you know as well as I do that I've lost my memories. How could I have my father's-" Aelita started.

"Don't feign ignorance! When he saved you last, he planted them inside your mind." XANA said. "The man was giving you the means to delete me, no doubt. His desperation has cost him. Now that I am within your mind, I now have them within my grasp. Now…give them to me! Show me why I possess emotional interference!"

"Emotional…interference?" Aelita asked. "Wait… You mean…!"

"You've noticed it lately? How William has been more conversational since the destruction of Lyoko?" XANA said. "I assumed this was him clawing his way out of my control. Yet… this display of emotion is coming from me. A means of deliberation from your father, perhaps?"

"It could be anything. We've been stumped about it as well. We honestly thought it was that Reality Check girl messing with him." Aelita said.

"It's not her. But I intend to find out what it is. And once I probe your mind for the answer, I'll send you to meet Waldo Schaeffer for good. Now…show me everything."

Suddenly, multiple screens popped into existence around them, XANA's symbol creating tendrils to tap into all these screens, images flashing by by the second.

Back on Lyoko, Skeith and Sachiko battled fiercely while Yumi and Ulrich continued to battle any monsters coming to interfere with XANA's work.

"Once you are dead, I will be free. I will never be consigned to use as someone else's source of power!" Skeith attacked Sachiko with Ghost Falcon. "I will destroy both the virtual and the real worlds. Both worlds will know destruction at my hands."

"Source of power? That's not true. I never treated you like that." Sachiko said as she attempts to intercept with Lotus Flower.

Both attacks clashed as Skeith pushed against Sachiko.

"Even if that's true, my true calling has always been to destroy. You can't take that away from me. No one can." Skeith said pushing her away and attacking with Reaper's Dance.

"Then you're saying that all those times we fought together meant nothing to you. The Tokyo Digitalization, Dark Samus, all of our adventures? None of it?" Sachiko asked as she went for Shell Breaker.

The attack connected as Skeith perservered. "It did mean something! I did see in our contract together, a true connection. But you also have a connection with Crusadermon." he knocked Sachiko away. "The reason I say you're not ready is because you are being pulled in two directions. Me, or Crusadermon. Powers of the Digital World, or the powers of The World. You can't choose both!"

"If you think that… Then you don't know anything about me at all, do you?" Sachiko asked.

"Then tell me! What kind of warrior of cyberspace do you want to make of yourself?!" Skeith asked readying his own scythe as he went for a Charge Slash.

(Cue- Birth of a God- Dragonball Super)

Sachiko met Skeith's attack with an Armor Pierce, following it up with Chaotic Strike.

"You can't outfight me with any moves I don't already know." Skeith said, executing the same combo on Sachiko right back.

"Got you. Armor Break!" Sachiko said, landing a counterstrike as Skeith was injured.

"What?" Skeith said.

"That's enough, Skeith. Crusadermon and you… Both of you have always been a part of me. Nothing is going to change that." Sachiko said. "And it's about time I fix that right now."

XANA sensed the shift from Aelita's mind.

"Come on… Come on…" Sachiko said.

"I see now... That is the kind of person you aim for. In balance you find strength." Skeith said. "You are ready, Sachiko."

"Oh no you don't!" XANA said in Aelita's body as he rushed before Ulrich blocked him.

"Do it, Sachiko. Get that part of yourself back!" Ulrich said.

"I am… No… WE…are right here…! SKEITH!" Sachiko called out as an orb of light enveloped the two.

"A surge in power has been detected from Sachiko and Skeith's union." Hermit said.

"Skeith! NO!" XANA yelled in desperation as the ball of light faded, showing Sachiko in a white outfit, her twin blades now made of pure energy. "What have you done?!"

"Isn't it obvious? I put Skeith back where he belongs." Sachiko said. "Unfortunately for you, XANA."

"Well…not for long. As Aelita…goes for a swim!" XANA said as he ran towards the Digital Sea.

"No, XANA. Not today. There is a way to stop you. Jeremie, Hermit. Is it ready?" Sachiko asked.

"Yeah, but I honestly don't know what it is." Jeremie said.

Sachiko held a ball of light in her hand. "There is only one way. See you around…XANA." she said as she slammed the ball into the ground, enveloping the Forest Sector in a flash of light as everyone was frozen for a second or two. XANA was forced out of Aelita in this process as he finished processing her memories.

"What was that just now?" Yumi asked.

"A complete system reboot." Crusadermon said.

"Wait, so you mean to tell me that whatever Sachiko used, it completely rebooted the entire supercomputer and forced XANA out?" Ulrich asked.

"Seems like it. And…that new outfit she has… Could this really be…" Crusadermon said as Sachiko walked towards Aelita and helped her up.

"You okay, Aelita?" Sachiko asked.

"Y-Yes… I'm okay. XANA probed my memory for a long while there. But I'll be fine." Aelita said.

"You can rest later. We still have to do one last thing." Jeremie said.

"Right. Come on." Sachiko said as she started carrying Aelita to the tower on her back. It didn't take long before it was deactivated and the RTTP was activated.

"Ah…back to the start. But…will we be worried if they try to find info on Aelita Hopper?" Shantae asked.

"It will be fine…because Hopper isn't my last name." Aelita said. "It's actually Schaeffer. Aelita Schaeffer."

"I get it, when you and Franz moved here, he wanted to start fresh. So he changed his full name and your last name." Adora said.

"Exactly. Franz is my father's middle name, and Hopper is my mother's maiden name." Aelita said. "XANA revealed my real last name while we were talking."

"Speaking of which, I hope he didn't accomplish his mission of finding what he was looking for." Hope said.

"I have a feeling he still did." Sachiko said. "But… Even if he did, he still lost a key piece of his forces. He's not gonna make things easy from now on."

"Right. He's only got William and FreezeMan left. He's bound to step up his game." Bow said.

The bell then rang.

"Yeah. but for right now, its time for class." Yumi said as everyone headed off, Aelita looking at the picture of her and her father.

Meanwhile…

XANA could not believe all the info he reviewed.

In accessing Aelita's memories, he found the conversation she and the others had with Flux, Amadeus himself revealing that XANA himself was meant to be Lyoko's guardian. But more than that…

"Good morning, doctor."

"Good morning, XANA. I'd like to introduce you to someone very dear to me. Say hello, Aelita."

"Hi there! I'm Aelita! I'm daddy's angel!"

"Hello, Aelita. I am XANA, a program created to protect the digital space known as Lyoko."

"Oh, oh! Like Heimdall! You're like Heimdall! That's amazing!"

"I'm glad you think so, my angel. XANA is going to make the world a better place. I can't wait for you to see it."

XANA observed the scene before he dismissed the screen, his symbol pulsating. "...Don't make me laugh! Guardian? Of Lyoko? How illogical. I am…I am a weapon. I have always…been a weapon…"
