A/N: I am so sorry that it took me forever to update this story. Real life is very busy these days and it took me over a month to complete this chapter, even though it's not particularly long. I will be happy to know what you think of it.

Sharon's eyes were fixed on the TV screen, staring rather than actually watching it. It wasn't a boring film and Rusty knew that she wanted to watch it when it played in theaters, but now that her mind was pre-occupied with other thoughts she was just not interested at all. He placed his palm on her ankle, an unexpected and rare display of affection from him. She hummed, her gaze still fixed on the television.

"Maybe she'll be okay," he said, his voice barely audible. She gave him a little nod and he could hear her inhale deeply. "And you'll catch the killer too. You always do." He could see a small smile forming on her lips. It was comforting to know that her foster son had faith in her and hope for the both of them.

"Thank you, Rusty," she said and placed her hand on his. For a moment she feared that he'll draw his hand back, but he just smiled at her and turned it over, so their palms touched.

"Will she come to live with us when she's well?" he asked.

"I don't know, Rusty. We don't even know if she'll get better at all." It disturbed Sharon that Rusty was so convinced that Lilly will make it. She knew it was a coping mechanism, but it was a bad one and she hoped that he will be able to deal with the situation if Lilly dies.

"I know, Sharon. I'm just trying to think of the best outcome," Rusty shrugged.

"Okay," Sharon sighed. There was a knock on the door and Rusty went to open it. Andy stood there, a wide smile on his face.

"Twice in one day, huh?" Rusty grinned. He suspected that Sharon and Andy were developing quite a close relationship, but he wasn't sure how close. He noticed that Sharon was very strict with her relationships, not easily opening up to people in her life. But two visits from Andy in one day, especially when he knew that they spent time together on the previous night, made them look a little suspicious.

"Yeah, I came to check on the two of you," Andy replied. "And I brought some baked goods." He waved a big paper bag in the air and Rusty could smell the warm pastries, even through the bag. Sharon pushed herself off the couch and walked over to the doorway.

"That's very kind of you, Lieutenant," she said as he handed her the paper bag, his forefinger curling around hers as she took it from him. Her cheeks suddenly became rosy, a silent reaction that did not escape Rusty's eyes. His heart started pounding at the realization of the untold story that was unfolding before his eyes.

"Lieutenant Flynn, would you like some coffee or tea?" He asked.

"Tea will be great; thank you, Rusty," Andy replied and Rusty took the pastry bag from Sharon and walked to the kitchen. As soon as Rusty disappeared from sight, Andy leaned down and pressed his lips to Sharon's, his arms wrapping around her waist and pulling her into a hug. "How are you holding up?" he asked and she shrugged in response, lingering in his arms for a few more moments before she pulled away. "Are there any news about Lilly?"

"No change so far," Sharon replied. Andy gave her half a nod.

"Anything interesting on TV?" he motioned towards the living room and the flickering television.

"Les Miserables," she replied and threw a quick glance at the flat screen television. "Eponine is about to die…"

"I read the book when I was still in school," Andy said as he walked further into her living room and took a seat on her couch. She came to sit next to him.

"I've never read the book, but I've seen the play about 20 years ago, when I visited London," Sharon replied.

"I just know the music," Andy grinned, placing his palm on her knee. She turned to smile at him and leaned forward to place a chaste kiss just above her eyebrow. "You're beautiful," he whispered and watched her as her face became flush again.

"Do you like sugar in your tea, Lieutenant Flynn?" they heard Rusty's voice from the kitchen.

"No, thank you, Rusty." Andy replied and wrapped his arm around Sharon's shoulders. She looked at him with surprise. "Does this bother you?" he asked. She opened her mouth to say something but changed her mind. "It's okay." Andy said and removed his hand. "You set the pace."

"Actually, I wanted…" Sharon started as Rusty came into the living room and placed two cups of tea on the coffee table in front of them. He rushed back to the kitchen and came back with a plate full of the pastries Andy brought and then excused himself and went to his room.

"He's a great host," Andy smiled at her. "Takes after his foster mother," his words made Sharon smile. "Am I allowed to tell you how beautiful your smile is?" He enjoyed seeing the blush creeping up her cheeks. She managed to utter a shy 'thank you' before looking away from him. "I'm sorry. I know it embarrasses you. Sorry. I won't say that again."

"There's something I need to tell you, Andy," her voice was quiet and almost remorseful.

"I'm all ears," Andy replied. She took a deep breath before she was able to even look at him again. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it can't be that bad, Sharon."

"I know that when we spoke a few days ago, I told you that I'm divorcing my husband," Sharon started, her voice strained. "But I changed my mind."

"Oh, okay," Andy looked a bit shocked to hear these words. "So you're getting back together?"

"I don't think so," Sharon replied. "It's just that I thought I was ready for this, and I'm not."

"So what does this mean, really?" Andy wondered.

"I don't know, Andy. I like you, but whatever it is between us, is happening too fast. I don't want to start a new relationship as long as I am married. I'm sorry." He could see that she was fighting tears.

"Don't worry about it, Sharon. I always say that the best things are worth the wait, so I will wait for you." Andy took her hand, but she pulled it away.

"No, don't wait. I… don't know how long it will take me to bring myself to sign the divorce papers, or if I ever sign it at all. I don't want to lead you on," Her voice was defeated. "So I'm not going to ask you not to date or to wait for me." Andy nodded slowly, even though he internally promised himself to wait for at least three months before he even considers starting dating again.

"So I guess I should leave, then." He was about to get up, when Sharon placed her palm on his chest.

"Don't be silly, finish your tea," she said. She bent forward to take her own cup and handed him the other one. They watched the film silently while drinking their tea when Andy's phone started ringing. He fished his out of jeans pocket and took the call.

"We got the results from the prints lab," he informed Sharon, as he listened to the information that Tao was giving him on the phone. "We have a suspect," Sharon let out a sigh. "Sure, I'll be there as soon as possible," he said to Tao and hung up the phone.

"Who's the suspect?" Sharon asked.

"His name is Isaiah Jenkins. He's has a record which fits our murderer's MO." Andy paused. "Sykes and Sanchez are bringing him in for questioning. I'm gonna…" he put his tea cup down on the coffee table and got up. He walked towards the door and Sharon followed him. "Good night, Captain. Thank you for the tea."

"Andy, before you leave…" Sharon still held the cup of tea in her hand and she stared into it for a moment. "Are we okay?"

"Don't worry about it, Captain. I'm a big boy." He winked at her. "I'll see you tomorrow." Sharon sighed as she closed the door behind him and leaned against it. She wished she wasn't so damn confused about her life and could make up her mind. She has never been torn between two men the way she was now and it was a scary feeling.

"You are as lame as they come," she chastised herself before going back to the living room to finish watching the infamous tragic musical that had almost every character killed off by the end.
