Quatro fired a freeze missile at Zombie as he was trying to escape and shut his car down.
Ranked number five on the FBI's Top Ten Most Wanted, Rob Zombie had originally started out as a roadie for Calypso's contest back in the nineties when it had first been established. When he wasn't helping set up Twisted Metal, he would often entertain the others with captivating heavy metal music using a guitar and an old amp he kept with the rest of his belongings.
It didn't take long for Calypso to catch on. As the story goes, Calypso liked it so much, he took Zombie off the work detail and gave his own personal trailer, on the condition that Zombie write the songs that would later serve as the background music to the contest's vehicular mayhem. Even now, Zombie's Dragula was being played through Black Rock Stadium's loudspeakers.
Zombie had risen through the ranks of the FBI's watchlist simply by virtue of his association with Calypso. For whatever reason, he'd decided to enter this year's contest, and Quatro had been sent to bring him in, as well as Stunt Devils gang leader Daniel Grimm, and serial killers Cage and Sweet Tooth. Dead or alive.
Quatro used the hoverbike's public address system to issue Zombie a single warning, "Rob Zombie! By order of the Los Angeles Police Department, I am here to place you under arrest. By any means necessary."
Zombie's vehicle, aptly named 'Mr. Zombie' in respect to the driver, was actually the same coach driven by the late Herman Munster. It roared to life much sooner than any other contestants the constable droid had frozen with the EMP projectile thus far.
"You'll have to catch me first!" Zombie yelled out the window as he peeled out.
Quatro made the mistake of hitting Mr. Zombie with a shockwave right at the start of the chase. He had intended to flip or at least spin the coach out of control, but only succeeded in pushing it further away. Not that it mattered. He would catch him sooner or later; Quatro always loved a good chase, and he had a clean track record for always catching his perp. As did Cinco, who'd been a detective droid variant.
Quatro chased him all the way across the arena and up the opposite embankment to the eastern side of the outer rim. The noise from the crazed audience was deafening. The fanatic fans were in seemingly endless rows of seats behind the barrier to his right, and their cheers only seemed to grow louder, especially as the next announcement came in accompanied by air horns and flashing disco lights .
"Outlaw destroyed. Seven contestants left."
