Chapter Four – Realization
(Before you read this chapter I must apologize on the time it has taken to put up a new chapter. Since Christmas I've been going through a bit of a rough time, sickness and all that. But I'm back and I'm going to write some more chapters to keep going. Also I am sorry for how short this chapter is, but I kind of wanted something like this for now, but don't worry chapter five is in progress and should be up soon, It wont take as long as this one did I promise hahaha)
Korra woke with a sudden flush feeling, her eyes wide open.
It's started.
The young avatar raced to her bathroom spewing up the dinner she had last night with Asami.
Korra raised her head out of the toilet bowl, finding her strength just after that out burst of sickness she slowly lifted her self up to look in the mirror over the sink, washing her face she thought to her self about that night with Tahno. What a crazy night that was. How crazy this is. She recalled that fight that Mako and her had too that led to the short break up and the night with the captain of the wolfbats.
What a stupid fight that was.
She felt regret and embarrassment of accusing him of something as simple as her over reaction and jealousy.
She dabbed the hand towel on her face, holding it there for a few more seconds as her face turned slightly pink.
"I was so stupid.. Why do I always lash out first and ask questions later…" she mumbled to herself.
If she could take back that night with Tahno she would in a heart beat. She loved Mako, she always will love him, and if it were just as simple as only having slept with Mako and getting pregnant to him, how easier it would be telling him she was going to have a baby, no THEY were going to have a baby, but you chuck in a one night stand with a narcissistic ass hole like Tahno, then you have a more complicated story.
If only Tahno were out of the picture. If only she didn't sleep with him. Things would be much easier.
How easier it would be for her to accept and appreciate the little life growing inside of her.
Her left and raised up and rested on her stomach. She clutched her shirt tightly as tears slowly ran down her face. This time her emotions were not just quilt, but also…..
Happiness.
Korra slowly moved back down to the floor while both her hands clutched to her stomach.
"You're really here aren't you…." She whispered looking down to her hands.
"You're here..Growing..you're a life.. Inside of me! A life within another life!" she chuckled to herself as she sobbed.
Her hands slowly moved around in a circular motion for a bit until she stopped, She then whispered in a soft and more controlled voice.
"No matter what happens, I'm not going to let you down….."
