Leah took a couple of minutes to clear her mind after Sigyn had left, holding Astrid close as possible knowing that Astrid was completely unaware of what had just happened. Leah's mind was ablaze with thoughts, completely irrational thoughts that seemed more rational as she thought about them. She knew that Loki had been with many woman before her but she trusted him not to cheat on her. Then again was it cheating if his was having a relationship with his wife. She paced one of the balcony's trying to gather herself to play happy families when there was a possibility that was about to be torn apart.
She understood her own parent's relationship a little clearer now, how complicated it must have been. The thought having someone else in a relationship, which was just meant for two people was impossible. To be able to continue on, to pretend to be a family unit, that dream had no chance in surviving. Leah would not let Astrid have the same upbringing that Leah had, she didn't want that for her. She just shook her head, she knew Loki better than that, she knew all he wanted was a family around him and that's what he had. That was what she was able to give to him, for him and for her, their own little family. She let out a sigh, she knew nothing about this woman, Loki had hardly spoken a word about her and no one else mentioned her at all really. Leah knew that she needed to get the upper hand, know a little more about her would possibly help her understand the situation a little better. Why now had she returned, just before her and Loki's marriage, his return from war, it seemed a little convenient for Leah's liking?
Leah slowly walked back to her chambers knowing that she needed some space first, at least having a toddler meant that she always had a good excuse for being late. Leah just walked into the room placing Astrid down on the floor. Astrid happily toddled over her play box pulling everything out again. Leah just crossed her arms trying to calm herself from breaking down into tears. Helena appeared from the bedroom with a basket of washing in her hands, she looked a little startled about why Leah had returned.
"Is everything alright?" Helena asked frowning looking a little confused about the reason Leah had returned early.
Leah just shook her head, not really knowing what to say, she wasn't alright that was all she knew. Leah knew she could trust Helena but also knew if the words came out it would make them real.
"I think Astrid is coming down with something." Leah lied looking down at the more than well toddler. "I don't know she grumbled all the way. I don't think she is up for tonight and it's important for Loki everything goes well."
"Of course." Helena nodded still looking a little bemused. "If it is for the best for Astrid."
Leah nodded before leaving Astrid and Helena together. Leah's head was a complete mess, she stopped several times to try and clear her head. She tried to shake the thoughts in her head but they wouldn't go anywhere, if he had been with her like that, that would be it, it would be over between the two of them. Leah's heart dropped as that thought entered her mind, but she was right, if he had after she had sacrificed everything for them, it would be unforgivable. She thought she knew him well enough to know whether he was telling her the truth but after Sigyn had gotten involved it had clouded everything.
Leah finally got to the door way, the guards opened the door and Leah stepped into the room seeing that the King, Queen, Thor and Loki had already started to eat. Leah just bowed looking down to the floor saying.
"Sorry I am so late, Astrid was getting upset, I think she may be coming down with something."
"There is no need to apologise." Leah heard the Queen say. "Come and join us Leah, you do not need to worry about formalities."
Leah stood up and took her place next to Loki but not looking at him, she was completely unable too. She just listened to the conversation, unable to eat anything and think of anything else but him and her.
"Leah are you okay?" She heard Loki whisper into her ear as his hand touched her leg. "Is Astrid all right?"
"She'll be fine." Leah sighed placed with the food on her place.
Loki seemed to pause for a minute before continuing to eat the food on his plate. The men continued to talk about the battles of war, she just sat there thinking.
"You both must be getting excited about the wedding." The Queen then said.
Leah just looked up not really sure what to say now, she glanced at Loki who just smiled back at her before saying.
"We are both looking forward to it now." Loki answered for them both, Leah just nodded. "Though we yet to have a date arranged."
"Myself and your mother have been discussing that." Odin smiled at the pair of them. "How about within the month."
"Month." Leah looked at the King and Queen.
"Yes." The Queen nodded
"That will be brilliant." Loki said again turning to Leah "Little one."
"Yes." Leah tried to smile the best she could "It will be perfect."
The chat went away from the wedding, Leah just looked at Loki who was smiling. How could he be happy about marrying her if he was actually involved with Sigyn. It made no sense at all. Leah knew then that he must love her still to want to marry. He had had plenty of relationships previously without marriage, if he didn't want to marry her then he wouldn't she knew that. Leah slowly slipped her hand into his giving it a squeeze, Loki just glanced at her smiling.
Leah kept hold of Loki's hand the rest of the evening till the celebrations were over. The King and Queen retired, Thor stood up and said.
"Lets head to the taverns."
"I am done." Leah smiled at the pair of them knowing she still needed time to think.
"Do you want to retire for the evening?" Loki sounded concerned looking at her.
"I think it may be for the best." Leah nodded still not meeting his eyes. "You stay with Thor, I am just going to go to bed."
"Ok." Loki placed a kiss on her lips before she left.
She headed straight back to her room, Helena was sitting there watching Astrid sleep as Leah returned. She looked down at Astrid who was out for the count.
"How has she been?" Leah asked
"fine, she seems in perfect health, perhaps it was just being overdone." Helena explained "However you look pale." Helena placed a hand on Leah's forehead. "And your cold. You need to lie down and get warm. I am going to get a healer."
"No." Leah shook her head. "I am sure I will be fine."
Helena just looked at her worried before leaving, Leah got changed and climbed into bed just lying there with her eyes opened. She knew this was a worry which was unhealthy and she needed answers. She just thought for a while thinking who she could really talk about it with before she approached Loki about such a matter. She didn't have anyone that she could really confide in here, all of what she said could get back to Loki so easily.
She heard the door open and close, she just closed her eyes knowing it was Loki returning from the taverns. She heard him undress before stopping a moment, he then climbed into bed pulling her body against his own as he held her. Leah just lay there for a couple of minutes till she heard his regular breathing which told her he was asleep already.
She knew how much he loved her that was plain to see and she loved him with all her heart. She just rolled over and looked at him sleeping, she smiled placing a hand on his cheek. She knew that there was a chance that he didn't cheat or do anything with her. But she knew that he had two other wives who were still his wives. They had some claim over him too, she had completely forgotten about that.
Leah slowly climbed out of bed wrapping a blanket around her and moving into the living quarters to where the fire was raging. She sat down beside it getting warm, she watched the flames dance with each other, this was definitely more complicated than she thought originally. Sigyn must be back here for a reason, she knew so little about the woman apart that she had magical powers like Loki's. She knew so little about each of his previous wives, considering that they were married they must have meant something to him. Leah knew she needed to find out more about Sigyn and what they were doing together at the moment before she ask Loki about it. She did trust him but perhaps that was stupid to do, but her heart wasn't willing to give up on him yet and perhaps if he cheated then they could cross that bridge then. Doubting him was not going to help solve anything right now, not till she had all the facts in front of her. She loved him too much not to fight for him, she wasn't going to let this woman take him so easily from her. She got up heading back into the bedroom and lying down beside Loki cuddling into him.
Morning came, Leah had not slept at all, she heard Astrid stir, climbing silently out of bed, she just picked Astrid up and took her into the living room leaving Loki to sleep a little more. Leah just held Astrid as till she had woken up a little more before placing her on the floor. Astrid played, while Leah curled up in her chair just watching her daughter.
"Morning." She heard Loki say from the door way fully dressed in his usual green robes. "Have you been awake for long?"
"No." Leah lied looking at him. "Just when Astrid woke."
"I need to spend the day studying." Loki stared at her, she could see that there was a hint of concern on his face, Leah knew he was assessing her now, she just looked back down to Astrid feeling a little anxious.
"Of course." Leah sighed not bothering to look back at him. "I will see you later on then."
She heard the door shut behind Loki as he left the room, hesitantly Leah looked at the door for a while after he left and she knew what she had to do. Leah got herself dressed before bathing and changing Astrid. Helena arrived with breakfast, Leah just gave her Astrid making up an excuse not to eat before leaving. She headed straight to the part of the Palace she had never really felt the need to go. Loki had shown her where his private study was but Leah knew it was a very private place for him. She slowly arrived at the closed door before gently turning the handle and opening the door.
She saw him hunched over some books, her heart pounded as she looked around the room not seeing any sign of her there. Leah just entered shutting the door behind her, getting Loki to look up from his books, he seemed completely shocked to see her.
"Is everything alright." He stared at her.
"Yeah it is now." She smiled back at him, "We need to talk."
The door suddenly opened as Sigyn walked into the room, Leah just looked at her before back to Loki who didn't seemed bothered by both of them being in the same room together. Sigyn placed the books she was carrying down on the table.
"I didn't interrupt anything did I?" She had a smirk on her face which Leah really wanted to wipe off her face but instead just smiled back at her.
"You could say that." Leah drawled staring at the woman.
"You two have met?" Loki asked
"Sigyn introduced herself to me yesterday." Leah smiled down at Loki.
"Really." Loki's eyes narrowed as he glanced at Sigyn.
"Yeah, she explained the time you two have spent together." Leah added watching for a sign from Loki which never came.
"Studying, Sigyn is one of the most power sorceress I know." Loki answered Leah his eyes looking up at her, she could see that he was obviously thinking. "Sigyn give me and Leah a moment would you."
"Of course." Sigyn sighed turning to smile at him "Loki."
Leah did not like the way that Loki's name just rolled off her tongue but took a deep breath in trying to stay calm. She knew that attacking the woman would not look good to her, also she was not sure how she would fare against someone with magic abilities. She just looked at Loki who still was watching her reactions, only once the door had shut Loki spoke up.
"You seem to have taken a disliking to Sigyn?"
"You could say that." Leah snorted at him knowing that wasn't far off the truth.
"Why?" Loki frowned
"Isn't it that obvious?" Leah looked at him a little shocked that he couldn't work that one out himself, Loki just shook his head at her answering that question. "You're her husband, she is your wife and she still thinks that she had a hold of you, that you in a funny way belong to her."
"She said this?" Loki said his facial expression remaining impartial.
"Not in so many words." Leah shook her head looking away from him, she felt herself slowly calm down before turning back to face him. "I was worried that I was going to lose you to her."
"Jealousy is you." Loki smiled at her, he just leant back in his chair looking at her and thinking a moment before continuing. "Sigyn has always been protective of me. She has been a life long friend and yes she was my wife but she isn't who I want any more."
"But she wants you." Leah commented
"A lot of women want me." Loki grinned at her. "I have changed and I did that for you." Loki took hold of her hand pulling her onto his lap so she straddled him. "I only want you now Little one, don't concern yourself or worry about the other two wife's they do not hold that title to me any more, you do."
Leah just looked at him smiling slightly knowing that the words he had spoken were the truth. She felt his hands take hold her small frame. He pulled her closer against him as his lips met hers, her hands came to his head holding onto him. Needing the reassurance that he was committed to her and only her.
Loki hoisted her up as he stood up placing her down on the table before pulling up her skirt revealing her legs. She felt him slip her finger inside her woman hood making her gasp. She gripped hold of his shoulders looking at him.
"Loki." She protested slightly
"This room has a spell placed on it, no one will hear us." He reassured her as he continued to work his finger in and out of her.
She was soon panting for her release, Loki was eager to assist as he pulled her backside closer to her before entering her swiftly. She cried out at the harshness of his thrust into her, she closed her eyes leaning back altering her position slightly as she gripped onto the edge of the table. Loki drove in and out of her hard and fast, Leah groaned as her body began to tremble. The feeling of Loki's hands gripping hold of her thighs, his nails digging in as he got closer to his end. As his grip got tighter the more control she lost. Leah's body finally became not her own, Loki continued to drive himself into her till he reached his orgasm. Leah felt like she was floating her body fell back against the table limply.
She slowly opened her eyes, looking up at the ceiling before she turned her gaze to Loki who supported himself against the table. She just smiled at him watching as he recovered. He eventually pulled his trousers back up doing them up, Leah sat up pulling her skirt back down.
"I love you Little one." He sighed
"And I you Loki." Leah grinned back at her. "Always."
