Leah sat beside Loki as he worked, he had showed her exactly how he made the potion which stopped her conceiving another child after having intercourse. It was science that went straight over her head, she had never really been the science geek in school but she got a little of what Loki did. It was however lovely to see the enthusiasm that Loki had for the subject. She knew if Astrid did take after Loki's ways, that she would be a very lucky girl to have a teacher like him. She just watched his long fingers turn each page of the book he was studying. Loki let out a sigh sitting back, his eyes closed as he started rubbing his forehead.

"What seems to be bothering you?" Leah asked watching his every move.

"I have been studying Midgardian science as they call it, it's very primitive but they suddenly jump to science they do not yet fully understand." Loki muttered smirking seeing her surprise of this. It was the last thing Leah would have thought he would study, considering his dislike towards them. "I wanted to find out what they did to you and the residual effects. You have not seemed to age since the moment I have met you."

"Really," Leah muttered not really sounding very convinced by what he was telling her. "I haven't noticed."

"It has been over two years Little one." Loki told her smiling slightly at her seeming very confident in what he was saying. "A substantial amount of time for you humans."

"Perhaps your theory is right but surely you need more time to tell?" Leah frowned looking at him seriously. "I mean I cannot tell you much about what they did to me, I can't really remember much apart from what I have dreamt but I have no understanding of what they have done."

"It will always be a theory but it gives me hope." Loki nodded glancing at her his face becoming a little less happy. "I just want to make sure you're not taken away from me too soon."

"Do not worry about it?" Leah stood up and wrapping her arms around him and kissing his forehead. "What will be, will be right, we need to prepare for a wedding, live happily together and be there for our daughter."

"Your right." Loki nodded wrapping his arms around her pulling her down onto his lap. Leah just sat there comfortably leaning against him.

"I am always right." Leah laughed placing a kiss on his lips.

There was a knock on the door, Leah was about to get up but Loki held her down in place. The door opened and Sigyn walked back in looking at the pair of them. Leah could see the slight wounded expression cross her face. Leah looked away before turning to Loki saying.

"I think I am going to check on our daughter."

"Okay." Loki nodded kissing her again. "I will return later on."

Leah slowly nodded looking at him before placing a kiss on his lips. She then left to check on Astrid and relieve Helena of her duties. Helena looked worn and tired when Leah arrived back in their chambers. Leah paused looking at her friend, seeing Helena like this was a first, Leah just picked up Astrid who was pulling on her skirt.

"Has she worn you out?" Leah smiled at her friend, seeing if she could get what was wrong out of Helena without having to ask her directly.

"She is a busy child." Helena told her smiling as Astrid started wiggling indicating she wanted to be put down again which Leah did.

"Are you feeling okay Helena?" Leah noticed how pale her friend looked all of a sudden as she got from the floor. Leah took hold of her arm making her sit down on a chair and pouring a goblet of wine for her. All the colour had drained from Helena's face, she looked ill and weak.

"I am fine Leah." Helena sighed as she took the goblet from Leah. Leah just looked at Helena seriously knowing that was not the full truth. "I believe I am carrying another child."

"Congratulations." Leah grinned feeling relieved and happy for her friend. "Wow."

"I need yet to go to the healers to confirm but I feel like I the last two pregnancies." Helena looked down and placed her hand on her abdomen. "But I am convinced and all the signs are there."

"Take the rest of the day off." Leah told her friend Still smiling at the news. "Go to the healers and get seen. The sooner you know the better."

"Would you mind coming with me?" Helena glanced at Leah obviously worried about something. "My husband is away on training and I am a little nervous."

"You have two children already." Leah smiled shaking her head trying to be reassuring. "As you always told me there is nothing to worry about."

Helena smiled and nodded, Leah held her hand out called Astrid who ran as quick as she could taking it. Leah walked with Helena down to the healing rooms, Astrid was just happy running around there feet. Leah watched Astrid before turning to Helena.

"You must be excited?"

"A little worried actually, with a new born around I will have to work less and I don't want to let you down." Helena muttered looking down to the floor.

"You're worried you will lose your job." Leah laughed taking Helena's arm. "Your my friend Helena, do not worry about your job, that is secure and you can take off as much time as you require."

"Really." Helena glanced up at her.

"Yes and also it would mean Astrid would have a play mate." Leah added "Our children could grow up being friends."

"Yes." Helena agreed.

They arrived at the healing centre, they were immediately ushered to a more lavish suite, Leah just looked at Helena who looking around.

"This is the royal healing area." Helena commented

"It's fine." Leah smirked seeing how horrified Helena looked being here. Leah still did not feel like royalty after all this time and she didn't believe one person deserved better treatment than others at all. Helena was her friend and she wanted the best for her, especially after all she did for her.

Leah just moved around the room, she just smiled as the memories of meeting Astrid for the first time. She glanced at the tall little girl now, even though she was still so little she stood tall and look around the age of a 18 month old. Her long curly black hair against her pale skin and silver eyes was a stunning contrast.

The door opened and a man wearing a white and red gown entered the room smiling at the pair of them. He headed straight over to Leah who glanced up at him.

"Your highness."

"I am not married yet." Leah commented feeling uncomfortable about the title "So not royalty, Leah will do fine. Look I was hoping to have my friend looked at." Leah indicated to Helena. "She thinks she is pregnant and would like to confirm."

"Your highness." The man looked completely baffled.

"Please call me Leah, Look I want my friend looked at okay."

"I know about your friends condition. So you're not here about yourself." The man stared at her questioningly.

Leah just looked at him not really sure what to say, she glanced at Helena who seemed to be worrying about the situation. Leah just frowned not really sure what the healer meant by his comment before saying.

"What?"

"Your carrying child as well." The man told her looking very serious now.

"What." Leah stared at the man knowing that the way Loki had it, that would be near well impossible.

"It is very early, too early for you to tell but you are with child." The man told her. "You would have only conceived a few days ago."

"Shit." Leah swore looking down not really knowing what to think. "Shit." She paused for a moment. "What about Helena? We came here for her not me."

"She is will child as well. Once again in very early stages, it's strange that she is displaying symptoms to make her think that she was."

"Do everything you need to for her please." Leah told him firmly.

The man nodded to her request before taking Helena into another room, Leah just sat down by the window as Astrid climbed onto her lap yawning. Leah glanced at Astrid smiling, she wasn't that concerned really, she had managed with Astrid so another child how hard could that be. She knew that Loki however would be less than impressed, she had taken his potion after each time, she was sure of it. Unless Loki did something wrong but he would never emit that. This was going to be difficult to explain to him but it had to be done considering.

"Muma."

Leahs head shot up looking at Astrid who seemed to sense her worries, Leah just grinned at her daughters first word.

"Momma." Astrid tried again this time saying it more clearly.

"That's my good girl." Leah kissed her daughters cheek "My clever little girl."

Leah pulled Astrid against her, who just giggled, Leah felt tears come to her eyes smiling. She knew she was lucky she had the perfect little family around her. Leah waited for Helena, the healers came out and told her that she would be staying overnight and arrangements had been made for her children. Leah left the healers to it walking hand in hand with Astrid back to the castle, Leah just looked down at Astrid who was smiling.

"Would you like a little brother or Sister because before long there is going to be another one of you running around." Leah place a hand on her flat abdomen. "God hopefully me and your father will have enough time to get married this time. Then we will be a family I guess, our own little family."

"Momma." Astrid replied smiling which was as good as a yes to Leah.

They got to their empty rooms, Leah ordered some food which was brought up to them. Leah was just watching Astrid feed herself when their was a knock at the door. Leah just called who ever it was to enter, Astrid screamed in delight making Leah look up seeing the Queen. Leah just stood up feeling a little surprised to see her.

"Odin has just told me the good news."

"Pardon?" Leah looked at the Queen horrified at what she said.

"Your with child again." The Queen smiled sounding very pleased about it. "I cannot believe we have been blessed with another grandchild."

"Who knows?" Leah gasped feeling a wave of fear wash over her. "I haven't had a chance to even speak to Loki about it yet."

"Only myself and Odin." The Queen reassured her. "I was going to ask if you would like me to have Astrid for the evening to give time for you two to speak."

"Oh." Leah looked down

"I know it has been a surprise the healer explained everything to us, but they were bound to tell us." The Queen sighed explaining the situation. "But it will be better to tell him sooner just in case he found out from another."

"I know." Leah nodded "If you would watch over Astrid that would be a great help." Leah stood up glancing at the Queen. "I may go and find him to tell him the good news."

The queen nodded as Leah smiled walking out of the chambers and heading to find Loki praying that he was going to be pleased about this. Part of her now had actually become excited that she was pregnant again in a happier situation. So much had happened during her pregnancy with Astrid that she didn't have a chance to enjoy the pregnancy. This one she would take the time to enjoy it.
