To say life had been interesting for Jessi and Jai since becoming power rangers would be an understatement. Now former SPD commander Kruger called them to meet with one of his assistants. Which was why the two were in the desert on their way to a dinner.

"Umm are we their yet," Jessi said putting her Chuck Taylor booted feet on the dash board of the truck as she woke from her nap.

"Nope like five more minutes, and take your feet off my dash," said the short wearing red dino humanoid robot Jai stirred her truck down the desert highway.

Jessi took her feet down " Anyway what's this job Billy has for us?," She said. "Hope its better than the last one," she sighed lamenting over their test by Rita and Zedd.

"Rita and Zedd weren't that bad. They were really cool to us, and gave me my powers," Jai said with a smirk as he wheeled her truck into the partially paved parking lot of the dinner on the outskirts of the small rule city.

The two stepped out of the cool air conditioned pick up into the harsh dry heat of the Arizona sun. Jessi pulled her sunglasses and smoothed out her distressed denim mini skirt and Deaf Leopard t-shirt. While Jai simply put on his gold framed aviators and tightened the belt on his orange and white shorts.

"Shorts?," Jessi said feeling herself already start to sweat. "That's all your wearig?," she asked.

"Im a Kinkinoid, were basically robots, plus k like shorts," Jai said walking towards the diner with Jessi walking close behind him.

Jessi and Jai walked into the diner to find the place surprisingly more modern than they thought it would be. Taking a quick scan of the restaurant the duo saw the attention of the locals in the place had slightly turned to them mostly the male patrons. Making the two rangers feel a bit uncomfortable. Quickly finding the booth where they were supposed to meet their contact. The two settled themselves in sitting across from each other.

"Why do I get the feeling a lot of these men are staring at me like I'm not wearing panties," Jessi said.

"Well probably you're, not," Jai said spreading his arms across the back of the booth smiling.

"Hey!" Jessi spat just as two of the male locals appeared

"How do ladies," said the young tan man in plaid short sleeved shirt and jeans and a John Deer trucker cap. He an his friend inviting them selves to sit next to Jessi and Jai. "Name's Rusty that's my boy Clay," he said introducing themselves. "Me and Clay her were thinking that two fine things such as yourselves should not be alone. Right Clay," Rusty said putting his arm around Jessi.

"Yep," Clay said invading Creed's personal space

Jai and Jessi looked at the two young men and then looked at each other with an "are they serious look". Before rebuffing the boys advances.

"Look you guys seem nice enough. But we're not alone we're together" Jessi said moving Rusty's hand from her shoulder.

"Do i fucking look like a lady?," Jai said giving Clay a small annoyed shove.

"Oh yours is feisty Clay," Rusty said getting a bit more touchy feely with Jessi.

" Thats it!"

Before the two young men could say anything else Jai threw his fist back instantly breaking Clay's nose making him fall to the floor. Jessi in turn grabbed Rusty's hand and easily broke four of his fingers. Then kicked him on to the floor.

"Ahh that fucking dyke broke my nose!," Clay said getting up to his knees. "Ugh!," he groaned feeling the air kicked out of him by Jai " How many more fucking times im a robot not a lady asshole"

"I hope you boys learned some fucking manners. Now beat it!," Jessi said

As the two rude young men ran from the dinner Jessi and Jai, saw a bright light then herd the sound of a single person clapping. To two turned to see Dr Kat Manx, she was picking up two containment cards.

"Bravo," said Kat

"Kat?," Jessi asked hugging the cat lady, " it's good to see you again"

"Now lets sit down I'm very thirsty," Kat said sitting in the booth the two were standing at.

"So why didn't Kruger meet us here himself," Jessi said as she and Jai sat down on the same side of the booth

"Well the boss has some business on KO-35, but he sent a video message," Kat said taking out her tablet. Turning it so the screen faced the others. "Now lets get down to business," she said reaching over the screen and opening the video file.

Jessi and Jai watched as the screen loaded and became filled with the image of the shadow ranger and former SPD commander. "Hello Jessikah and mr Jai I trust Kat has met you and I hope that you three can work together as you will have to for the mission," the image of Kruger said. Intriguing the rangers. "Now onto your mission," he continued.

The frame that Kruger image was in strunk to show a map of the western United States and a part of Canada. "In this region of North America. Since the appearance of mr Jai Timeforce has detected several riff like anomalies. It is my hypothesis that these riffs are in fact related to mr Jai and the Kinkinoids as well as the Tokutendo. I want you two to investigate these riffs, and put a stop to any danger there maybe. To help with expenses I've instructed Kat to give you an unlimited credit card. I've also given her the coordinates to your first mission. Good bye and may the power protect you," Kruger said as the video ended.

Jessi and Jai looked at each other. " So just were exactly is this first stop on our little mission?"

"Your first stop is Turtle Cove ," Kat said as she motioned to the waitress. "But since I figure you two want to sleep in a bed I think we should order something to eat and get to know each other. Since we'll be working together."

"Sounds like a plan," Jessi said as the waitress came to the table.
