Luckily, my little stomach bug faded into nothing within a few days. Not that those few days didn't feel like an eternity.

Callie helped me a lot- when Mom couldn't. She was there for me. It felt good to know I had her, too. Even with that, I still felt insanely bad that one time I threw up right next to her. All over the floor.

She said it was ok, and cleaned it up. But, cmon, that is pretty nasty. I get her whole 'I'm a doctor' thing. But I bet work is different than your fiancés daughter. At least I would think so. Nonetheless, it was nice of her to be so caring toward me.

Anyway, now that I could stomach anything I wanted again, I was taking full advantage.

You don't realize how much you miss certain things until you can't have them.

So, I was making myself a snack. As per usual.

"Liv?" Callie was sitting outside. We had put a bench against the back of the apartment so we could sit out there, since there is a little bit of a patio. Callie loves it the most out of the three of us. Currently, it was just Callie and I home. But, Mom would be home quite literally any minute. She had picked up an extra(much shorter) shift.

"Yeah?" I spoke loudly so Callie could hear me.

"Can you come out here for a minute?" She called back.

I put down what I was doing, going outside. "What's up?" I held onto the door frame, swinging around a little bit. It was nice out. Hot, but breezy. Clear sky.

"I wanna ask you something quick." Callie leaned against the side of the bench.

" 'Kay." I didn't know what to expect.

"I wanted to know if you would like to come wedding dress shopping with me."

"Really?!" I didn't expect that. Then again I had no clue what I was expecting. But, I was happy with what I got. Dress shopping sounded overly exciting.

"Yeah!" Callie smiled.

"I would love to!" I jumped toward her and hugged her, feeling grateful that she even asked me. I knew this was something special, and she wanted me to be a part of it. That was really important to me.

She hugged back. "Yay!! I'm so excited!!" She said after we pulled away.

"Me too! Do you know when you're going yet? Or where?!" I wanted to know everything.

"I have a place I want to book an appointment at. I just haven't booked it yet." Callie nodded.

"That's awesome. Ooh I can't wait!"

When Mom got home, I was back in the kitchen. Sitting at the island and eating.

"Hey beautiful girl." Mom set her things on the counter, hugging me.

"Mom! Hi!"

She smiled, "How was your day?"

"It was actually not insanely boring. Isa and I both finished that book we bought last weekend, so we talked about it for like two hours," I laughed. Isa and I had gone to a book store together. Well, we had gone to the mall. The book store was attached to it. So we bought the same book, since then we would have someone to talk to about it.

"Aw that's nice! Good book?"

"Amazing!"

"My little reader." Mom said, smiling proudly, as if I just won an award.

"Don't make it weird."

Mom laughed.

She disappeared outside, and I faintly heard her and Callie greeting each other.

I finished up my food, then rinsed off the dishes.

Mom came back, and brushed past me, fluffing my hair. "Keep next weekend free, my social butterfly." I wasn't that much of a social butterfly. Usually I was just hanging out with Isa. I did see her almost every weekend, though(and a few times during the week).

"Why?" I turned to look at her.

"Me, you, Teddy, April. Wedding dress shopping."

"Did you and Callie plan this or something?" I asked, just shocked that this came up from both of them within the same hour. They had to have discussed it. Otherwise that would be really weird. Like they're telepathic or something.

Mom raised an eyebrow. Probably not the reaction she expected.

"Oh don't get me wrong, Mom. I'm excited to go wedding dress shopping," I giggled. "It's just that Callie also asked me if I would come with her today." I was excited. Getting to go wedding dress shopping twice. And once for Mom. Mom. She was marrying someone who loved her.

A happy ending.

But it's really not an ending. More like a beginning. Either way, she is adding happy chapter after happy chapter to the story of her life.

She deserves that.

"She did?!"

"I did!" I heard Callie call out.

"Aw that's cute!" Mom spoke loudly. "Wait Cal, come here!"

Callie came inside. "I don't have an appointment yet, though." Callie said.

"Oh. Okay." Mom nodded.

"This is cool! I get to go with both of you!" I closed the dishwasher, as my dishes were all put in there.

Mom laughed.

"Are you guys doing the whole secret thing? Like not showing each other your dresses?" I asked out of curiosity.

I watched as they looked at each other, then they both shrugged.

"Maybe. Makes it even more fun." Callie said, her smile excited.

"I think we will, yeah." Mom agreed.

"I have to keep two secrets?!"

They both laughed.

"You'll be fine. It's only for like a month." Mom shook her head in amusement.

"I'll try my best."

"You better."

I smiled. They both wanted me to go dress shopping with them.

That was... really sweet. I really felt so special.

"You have an appointment?" Callie stepped closer and closer to Mom, until they were leaning against each other.

I sighed.

So lovey dovey. Awkward.

"I do." Mom nodded.

"Where?"

"That's a secret!"

"What?! Why!" Callie laughed.

"Cause." Mom replied, smiling smugly.

"You're annoying."

"You love me."

"I do."

"God you guys flirt too much. I get it, you're in love." I interrupted, plopping myself onto the couch.

"You got grumpy fast." Mom giggled.

"I'm not grumpy! You guys are just weird."

"I think we're cute." Mom looked at Callie again.

"Yeah?" Callie asked.

Mom nodded, and then they started kissing.

I sighed, turning on the TV- any sort of distraction. "At least go in your room!"

"Shush!" Mom said playfully.
