"Is there a reason I'm standing at a dusty bus station, at noon when the sun's the hottest, in the middle of absolutely nowhere, Dad?"

A blonde-haired teenager was standing at, as he had described, a dusty old bus stop. He had been waiting there for the last half-hour since his father had dropped him off there. The teen ran a hand through his dyed platinum blonde hair in frustration. He wasn't pleased.

"Because that's where the bus'll pick you up, kid."

"Yeah? And when is this bus supposed to show up?" The teen said, looking down the road. On one side was pure, unaltered, sands and hills. Being midday, the sands were scorching. Down the other way was a big hill with a tunnel carved into it. Strange that he couldn't see out the other side, but whatever.

"...I dunno." The teen's dad said as the teen sagged with a sigh.

"Not cool, Dad."

"C'mon, Piers, trust your old man. There will be a bus that shows up and it will take you to your new school." Piers' dad reassured him. Piers checked the road again. Nothing.

"Yeah, whatever. I bet you and mom are glad I'll out of the house for a long time. Dunno how you'll keep yourself entertained without me." Piers said with a smirk.

"Oh don't worry about that. I've got plenty of things in mind..." Piers' dad said, causing Piers to roll his eyes.

"Gross dad."

"Oh come on, we're both men."

"Yes, but you're talking about you and mom, and I really don't want to have that image in my head."

"What can I say, your mother's very beautiful and very, very sexy."

"Stop it you perv. It's not cool."

"Okay, okay. I'll stop it. So..."

"So?"

"Think you'll meet any cute girls at school?"

"Dad." Piers said in annoyance. He started to hear a bus roll down the road. It was coming from the desert way.

"It's how I met your mom."

"Dad." Piers said, a bit more forceful.

"It was like love at first sight. For her. She had to chase after me."

"Bullshit."

"Watch your language, kid. You're not sixteen yet. Anyways-"

"Dad." Piers said as the bus pulled up.

"What?"

"Bus is here."

"Well get on then."

"You don't have to tell me that."

"Whatever, kid. Just call me when you can."

"Alright Dad, talk to you later."

"Stay cool Piers. Bye."

"Bye."

Piers pocketed his phone and looked up as the bus doors opened. Inside was a bus driver that unnerved the teen. Was his eyes.. glowing?

"You the Phoenix kid?" he asked. Piers' eyes narrowed.

"How do you know I'm from Phoenix? This bus stop is in the middle of nowhere. Most I know is that we're still in Arizona." Piers said.

"I know where all the students are coming from."

"Oh yeah?"

"It is my job to pick them up. I'm a bus driver after all."

"...Right." Piers said, mentally chastising himself, 'Of course, he's a bus driver, it's his job to know where the students live. Not cool Piers.'

"So how long you planning on baking out there?"

"Wha- oh, right. Getting on." Piers awkwardly said, 'What the hell Piers, you're not being cool at all.'

After he stepped on and sat down towards the middle of the bus, the bus took off.

"It's gonna take a while to get there kid, so if you wanna catch some shut eye, go ahead. I'll be picking up more kids."

"Okay, s'cool with me." Piers said, setting his backpack down to get comfortable, "Hey, where is this 'Yokai Academy' anyway?"

"Don't worry about that. I will tell you this however, it's one scary ass school."

Piers didn't reply, only grunting in response, "Can't be too bad." He said before dozing off.

'Don't speak too soon kid.' The bus driver thought as he exited the tunnel in a completely different place.

When Piers woke up, they were at their destination.

"Look who's finally awake." The bus driver said. Piers picked up his stuff as the bud driver continued, "The others are already outside."

Piers walked up and out of the bus, offering a 'thanks, man' to the bus driver as he passed. When he exited, he noticed two other people. A tall teen with long black hair and an average looking brown haired teen wearing the school's boys uniform. Piers himself wasn't wearing any of the school's uniform and instead was wearing his own stuff. Oh well, to each their own. They were looking at what Piers concluded was some sort of scarecrow. It had a jack-o-lantern on it's head and the writing on it's torso said 'Private School, Yokai Academy'.

'Thank god Dad taught me Japanese. Wait, why is it Japanese?' Piers thought.

"Because we're... sort of in Japan." The bus driver said, seemingly reading Piers' mind.

"What?! How are we in Japan? And what do you mean sort of?" Piers asked. The bus driver didn't answer, "Fine, be that way."

"Woah, it's like a completely different world on the other side of the tunnel..." The brown haired boy said. Hearing that, Piers turned his head and looked over the landscape. Rocky shores, a blue sky with a slight greenish tint, dead trees, red water... wait, red water?

"What the hell is goin' on here?" Piers mumbled.

"I'm thinkin' the same thing."

Piers turned and looked at the black haired teen who had just spoken. He was wearing a button up red plaid hoodie with a t-shirt under it. It displayed a Canadian flag. Wonder where he's from. Anyways, his jeans and shoes were nothing special, except for the giant hole in the right knee. He had just put his phone in his pocket.

"Are we sure we're still on Earth?"

"For sure," Canadian accent, check, "Maybe this is the Red Sea?"

"I don't think it's actually red."

"Well, have you ever seen it?"

"No, have you?"

"Course not."

"..."

"..."

"Piers Callihan."

"Oh nice to meet ya, I'm Lucas Bernadotte."

They shook hands.

"Cool name, sounds French."

"French-Canadian family, moved out the French part of Canada a few generations back but kept the name. Where you from?"

"Phoenix, Arizona."

"Oh cool."

"Only at night, hot as hell the rest of the time."

"Um... excuse me?" The third one of them finally spoke up after watching them for a while. The North Americans turned and greeted him.

"Yo." "Hey bud."

"You two are also students, right?" He asked.

"We wouldn't be her otherwise." Piers said.

"Suppose since we're not wearing the school uniform, it'd be hard to tell." Lucas said, looking down and grabbing his hoodie.

"Sorry, I felt like I needed to check. I'm Tsukune Aono." Tsukune introduced himself, offering a handshake.

"Nice to meet'cha." Lucas said, shaking his hand.

"Same here." Piers said, doing the same.

"So, you think that's the school over there?" Tsukune asked, looking over towards the distance. Piers and Lucas followed his gaze.

"I really don't see anything else around here." Piers said, swiveling his head around.

"Oh that's it alright. And I'd watch my back if I were you guys." The bus driver spoke up before he closed the bus door and drove off. The three students watched him leave.

"So he's ditching us here. Not cool, man." Piers grumbled. Tsukune reached into his pocket to grab his phone.

"I should call Kyoko again." He said, but Lucas held his hand to stop him.

"Not worth tryin'. No service here. Already checked." Lucas said. Tsukune sullenly put his phone away.

"Anyways, let's get a move on. We're wastin' time standing here." Piers said as he turned and walked towards the direction of the school.

"Pitter patter, let's get at 'er." Lucas said as he followed, shortly followed by Tsukune.

They were passing through the forest, where there were gravestones. Tsukune had ended up in front of the North Americans and was now leading them.

"I hope we're going the right way." Tsukune said. Lucas leaned down to Piers.

"We're still goin' the right way, right?" He asked.

"Well, we went the direction of the school and haven't turned left or right yet so... I'd say yes." Piers said. Lucas nodded and straightened. He then leaned down again, looking like something was on his mind.

"Hey, I gotta ask you. This place is called 'Yokai Academy', right?"

"Last I was told."

"And we both know what Yokai means right?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think monsters actually go here?"

"I don't know. We shouldn't be surprised if they do though. I mean, it's literally in the name."

"You're not at least nervous if they do exist?"

"I've read tons of cryptid stories. Mothman, Jersey Devil, Bigfoot, the works. 'Spose I'm a bit desensitized to this stuff. If they exist, cool, fine by me. I'm not too bothered by it."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I think most people would be cool with supernatural creatures nowadays. I mean, look at all those people who love vampires because of the Twilight series."

"I 'spose so."

"Hey, I come from Arizona, a state that's had supposed alien sightings."

"For real?"

"Yeah. Honestly, I'd be more nervous about them. At least here, you can find countless stories about monsters. Aliens are a big unknown."

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

Just then, a swarm of bats flew out and startled Tsukune, making him fall down. He quickly picked himself back up as the other boys came up to him.

"You okay bud?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just caught me off guard." Tsukune assured, hand over his heart.

"Don't have a heart attack on us now." Piers said. Tsukune shook his head.

"Like I said, I'm fine." Tsukune reassured. A creaking sounded out through the forest. The boys looked around to try and find what it is.

"Do ya see it?"

"No Lucas."

"Whatever that is, it's getting closer." Tsukune said. He then took off walking, leaving the North American boys to scramble after him. Even after they'd been speed walking for a few minutes, the sound was still following them.

"The hell is following us?" Piers said.

"I dunno, but it sounds like a-" Lucas began.

"Just me. A bat!"

The boys stopped and stared up at the bat as it flew over.

"Huh. A talking bat." Piers was confused. That thing didn't look like it was making the sound.

"Aw man..." Tsukune began, "It was just a ba-"

A bike suddenly crashed into the brown haired boy as the North Americans jumped back.

"HOLY SHIT!" They exclaimed simultaneously. Did they just witness a murder by bike? The rider of said bike had toppled off the bike and rolled with Tsukune.

"A bike. Sounds like a bike." Lucas finished after calming down.

"Wicked wipeout, you two okay?" Piers said, jogging up to the two. This new arrival that almost committed manslaughter was a girl. She wore the school's girls uniform('Why are the skirts that short?', Piers thinks) and had long pink hair. The top few buttons on her shirt were unbuttoned, letting her slightly show some cleavage. Piers noticed one peculiar item: A rosary.

"Ow... Ow, that hurt." Tsukune said, groggy.

"It hurt just watching it." Lucas said as Piers nodded. Being groggy, when Tsukune tried to right himself, he accidentally touched the girl's thigh, making her let out a slight moan. A blush slightly colored Piers and Lucas' faces at the sound.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I just suddenly got all dizzy..." She said as she flipped her hair with her hand. Tsukune was enraptured by her.

'I'll admit, she's pretty hot.' Piers thought. The girl and Tsukune just then realized where Tsukune's hand was and in a panic, it slipped to the ground between her knees.

"I... I, uh..." She stuttered, embarrassed. Tsukune then backpedaled away from her in a manner that caused Piers and Lucas to sputter out a laugh.

"It's not what you think, really! I'm sorry!" Tsukune said, trying to save face. The NA boys could barely contain their laughter when Tsukune's nose started to bleed.

"Oh, you're bleeding!" The girl said as she proceeded to dig into her green blazer. They then got real close before she stopped.

"I can't. I shouldn't... but that smell..." She said, looking like she was struggling with something. Her words caught Piers and Lucas' attention as they ceased their laughing fit.

'Smell?' All the boys thought. Piers and Lucas saw Tsukune's face go happy, 'Probably got a whiff of her hair.'

"Sorry... I can't help it." She said, grabbing Tsukune's face. Piers and Lucas watched intently, but were surprised by her next words, "'Cause I'm a vampire!"

"Holy shit, they are real." Piers lowly said as the girl bit into Tsukune's neck, "If vampires are real, then what else is real?"

"Who knows." Lucas said.

The girl then jumped away from Tsukune's neck, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

"You bit me!" Tsukune said as the NA boys walked up. Tsukune revealed the bite location, and seeing it, a teasing smile graced Piers' face.

"Well, look at that, first day of high school and you already have a hickey." He said, making Lucas laugh behind him and causing the girl to blush more.

"Piers!" Tsukune whined.

"I'm just teasin' you, man. No need to lose your cool." Piers said.

"Are you three going to Yokai too?"

"Oh ya, it's our first year." Lucas said as Piers helped Tsukune up.

"That's great! This is mine too!" The girl said.

"Funny how that works." Piers said.

"If you don't mind... I have to ask... what do you think about... well... about vampires?" She said nervously.

'She's obviously nervous about this for some reason. Are vampires not common here?' Piers thought, "They're pretty cool."

"Honestly I'd say they're better than the assholes back home." Lucas said. Piers let out a huff at that.

"They're fine by me. I don't have a problem with vampires in the slightest. If you wanna call yourself a vampire, more power to ya." Tsukune said. But something about the way he said it...

'Does he not believe her? After what she just did?' Piers thought, an eyebrow being raised.

"Thank you!" The girl said as she jumped onto Tsukune, but since Lucas was standing behind him, he was tackled too.

"Ah, get off of me!" Lucas cried out. Hearing this, the girl and Tsukune got off of him, leaving him sad on the ground, "What did I do to deserve this?"

"Get up." Piers said as he lightly kicked the Canadian.

"Well, if that's the case, maybe we can be friends. What do you think?" She said, ignoring Lucas.

"Yeah... sure." Tsukune said.

"I don't mind." Piers answered.

"My back..." Lucas sobbed.

"Get over it." Piers said.

"Oh, fantastic!" She said as she sat up, "I was nervous 'cause I didn't have any friends here yet..."

"Well, ya didn't make it to the campus yet, so..." Piers pointed out.

"Oh! My name's Moka Akashiya by the way." Moka introduced herself.

"And mine's Tsukune Aono." Tsukune said, sweatdropping.

"Piers Callihan from Phoenix, Arizona." Piers said.

"I'm Lucas Bernadotte from Calgary, Alberta. You gonna apologize for knocking me over and landing on me?" Lucas asked.

"Oh, sorry about that. Are you okay now?" Moka asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine now." Lucas waved her off.

"Suck it up. Chances are, high school's gonna beat the ever loving shit outta you. Especially here." Piers said.

They had reached the school building, but one problem...

"Does uh, anyone know where to go?" Tsukune asked. He looked to his new friends, but all three of them shrugged.

"Suppose we'll split up and hope someone gets lucky." Piers said. Lucas perked up like he just had an idea. He did.

"Let's exchange phone numbers. When one of us finds it, text us the location." He said.

"But you said our calls don't work." Tsukune said.

"Maybe they do across school grounds." Piers reasoned. He then checked his phone, "Well, we got some signal."

"It's better than doing nothing." Moka said. They agreed and exchanged numbers. They then split up, heading in different directions.

Piers had been walking for ten minutes and had still not found the classroom. He did run into Lucas twice and Moka once, but clearly neither of them found their destination. Wandering aimlessly now, he had actually come across someone. Another girl, this one not wearing the uniform issued by the academy. She had long purple hair, blue eyes, an off the shoulder sweatshirt, and purple striped stockings.

"Yo." Piers said as he walked up to her.

"Hello." She responded.

"Shouldn't you be in class?"

"I'm skipping."

"On the first day? Really?" Piers asked in confusion. The girl shrugged.

"Anyway, why are you here?" She asked. Piers huffed a light laugh, scratching the back of his head.

"I don't know the way to the classroom, so I'm lost. Any chance you could help?" Piers asked, silent hope running through his question.

"You're in luck, I happen to have a map on me." She said, producing a map from the sweatshirt pocket.

"Cool. What's the catch?"

"Nothing, just your name."

"Piers. Piers Callihan." The girl held out the map to Piers, which he took.

"Mizore Shirayuki."

"Nice to meet you." Piers said, then thinking of something, "Hey, where are we on here?"

Mizore stood up and pointed to where they were on the map, "The classroom should be here."

"Yours or mine?"

"Both."

"Oh, we're in the same class?"

"Seems like it."

"Cool... well, 'spose I'll get going and leave you to your... skipping." Piers said as he turned to walk off, "See you around."

The girl silently waved at him as he left. He returned her wave with a smile and a two finger salute. Taking another look at the map, he saw that two of the doors he passed multiple times were to a workshop. Piers felt a bit embarrassed that he didn't recognize the lettering for the workshop. His Japanese writing skills weren't as strong as his Japanese talking skills. Either way, he focused back on where Mizore had pointed to on the map. It happened to be the direction Tsukune went towards.

"Wait, if he went there, why the hell didn't he text us? Mmm... maybe I'll let Moka drain him next time." Piers grumbled. He pulled out his phone and told everyone where the room was, then proceeded to walk in that direction. He was walking for a good five minutes and their class was up two flights of stairs.

'Man... this place is soooo much bigger on the inside. Is it magic? Not that I'd be able to tell.' Piers thought, 'Maybe it's big because I just got here. Should keep this map handy in case I need it.'

As he rounded the last corner on his route, he saw Lucas and Moka coming from the other direction, jogging. Piers jogged to catch up to them as Lucas wved his hand. Piers simply nodded his head as they reached the classroom. Moka burst in first.

"We're so sorry we're late!" Moka said as Piers and Lucas walked in behind her.

"Oh don't worry, it's alright." The teacher said. Piers noted she was somewhat cat-like.

"Good thing I found this map, huh?" He said.

"Yeah. We'd be walkin' 'round this place for 'nother hour before we finally found it." Lucas agreed.

"Hey, why didn't we have maps in the first place?" Piers asked the teacher.

"They should've been handed out during orientation." She said. Piers sighed.

"Then I guess we missed that, then." He said, slightly dejected. 'Man, first day of school and I miss orientation. So not cool.' He thought. The teacher waved off his dejection.

"Oh never mind that, go ahead and introduce yourselves." She said. The three wrote their names on the board, then Moka stepped up first.

"Hi, I'm Moka Akashiya." She said. Soon after, the whole classroom was swooning over her. Piers ran a hand through his hair and stepped up next.

"Yo. Piers Callihan." He said. Surprisingly, his introduction got the same reaction as Moka's, albeit more from the girls. He heard murmurs from the boys about 'How he thinks he's soo cool.' to which he responded, "Yeah, I am cool."

Before the boys could get more upset at Piers, Lucas stepped up, "Hello. I'm Lucas Bernadotte. It's nice to meet you all." his introduction calmed the boys and overall Lucas went over as rather well liked. By then, Tsukune stopped hiding('For whatever reason.' Piers thought) and was noticed by the three up front. Piers lightly glared at him.

"Hey man, why didn't you text us-" "Tsukune, it's you! I'm so glad to see you again!" He didn't finish as Moka jumped, or rather flung herself at the boy, causing the NA boys to sigh and caused the classroom to react in surprise.

"All right, settle down everyone. Moka, Piers, Lucas, you each take on of the empty seats." Miss Nekonome said. At least, that's what Piers thought he read on the blackboard. Eh, he'd probably hear it later. He sat at the back corner, behind Tsukune and next to a blue haired girl who had a noticeably big chest. As he sat down he greeted her.

"Hey, I'm Piers, your new neighbor." He said.

"I'm Kurumu Kurono. Nice to meet you." Kurumu said. Piers nodded and turned forward. He had a strange feeling when he looked at her, so he turned back to her.

"Hey, this my sound a bit weird and uncool, but I get this strange feeling when I look at you." Piers said.

"Oh really?" She said, interested, 'Hah, looks like I already have one under my control.' Kurumu thought.

"Yeah, for some reason when I see you, I get this feeling that... I don't really like you." Piers said. Glass shattered in Kurumu's mind.

'...WHAT?! He doesn't like me just from looking at me?!' "R-really?" She said, not really knowing how to respond.

"Yeah, it's weird like I said. I just... can't figure out why. I mean you seem nice, but I don't like you." Piers said, oblivious to Kurumu's inner turmoil.

"W-well, um..." Kurumu began, but was interrupted by their teacher.

"Alright class, let's begin our first lesson!" Miss Nekonome said.

"Whoa, hey man, look at this!" A student pointed out to his friend. He directed his attention to who was coming down the hallway. Moka Akashiya, holding on to the arm of Tsukune, with Piers and Lucas flanking them. The sight of how Moka was attached to Tsukune drew the ire of many of the boys in the school as they walked past. Piers glared at them, hoping they get the message to mind their own damn business. Unfortunately, Moka's beauty outweighed Piers' hostility and so they kept on staring. Piers sighed.

'Yes, I get it, she's a knockout, but you've gotten a look so move on with your lives already.' Piers thought. Lucas didn't look like he was enjoying the stares either.

"With the way they're gawking at us, you'd think we're animals at a zoo." Lucas said to Piers.

"Yeah, no kidding." Piers agreed. The quartet exited the building and came up to a vending machine. Both Moka and Tsukune got something and their drinks came down at the same time. They then reached for them at the same time, which Tsukune noticed and stood up straight.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" The boy said, lightly blushing. Moka didn't seem fazed by the almost hand touching, and turned to Tsukune, straightening up as well.

"Oh, you're silly." Moka said, moving to lightly tap him on the head. It was not a light tap, and Lucas dodged out of the way to avoid the flying Tsukune. He slammed into the pillar, cracking it while Piers laughed.

'Holy...' Lucas thought as he looked at the poor boy.

They then sat down on the bench, while Piers sat on the ground, leaning back on the pillar. Moka poked two holes in her tomato juice before taking a drink.

"This is fun, huh?" She asked her friends. Piers shrugged.

"Eh, it's good. It's only the first day." He said.

"Yeah, there's no telling what'll happen throughout our time here." Lucas said. He had gotten a Sprite, because apparently they supply those here. They sat in silence, drinking their drinks while Piers thought about the shop. Then, trouble decided to rear it's head.

"Hey there sexy, you said your name was Moka Akashiya, right?" Saizou Komiya said, sliding out from behind a wall, causing Tsukune to spit-take.

Before they knew it, Saizou had Tsukune up in the air while Lucas and Moka jumped up to try and get him down. Piers merely just glared.

"No let him go!" "Put him down asshole!"

"So tell me... what's a smokin' hot chick like you doing makin' friends with numbnuts like these guys?" Saizou said, looking down at Moka, "I mean come on?"

"I suggest you put him down before you start something you can't finish." Piers said. Yes, he was human, but he was confident he and Lucas were enough to beat down the thug. After all, a fight has no rules right? And Piers has a proclivity to use foreign objects like metal pipes. Saizou glared down at the dyed-blonde, who glared back. He scoffed and threw Tsukune into the vending machine. Moka and Lucas instantly started to run towards him.

"Tsukune!" "Tsukune, buddy!"

"Hey..." Saizou said, grabbing Moka as Lucas reached him, "Forget about these punk-asses and hang out with me instead, babe."

Saizou then felt someone grab his arm. It was Piers, whose glare had intensified, "Clearly you didn't listen to what I just said."

"What are you on about? I put him down, didn't I?" Saizou said.

"I said put down, not throw." Piers retorted. Just then, Saizou swore he saw a small flicker in Piers' eyes. Just after that, the hand holding him started to heat up. He was forced to let go as Piers' hand suddenly got way too hot to touch. Piers then let go of him.

"Tch. Whatever, douchebag. See you later losers." Saizou said as he walked away. Piers kept his eyes on him until he was out of view, then turned to looke at his hand.

'What the hell was that? My hand just started heating up all of a sudden. What the hell is going on?' Piers thought as he then looked at Moka and Lucas helping Tsukune up.

Tsukune and Moka decided to go to the rooftop after all of that and Lucas wanted to explore some more, so Piers was on his own. Now that he was on his own again, he decided to check out the shop. Taking out the map and finding the workshop, he headed over in that direction. When he was in front of the door, a wave of excitement washed over him. You see, Piers was an avid welder, always making little pieces of art from scraps with his dad, so when he found out about the workshop at the school, he wanted to see what it was like.

"Alright, here goes." Piers said, opening the door. Inside was... dark. Lights must be off. He turned them on and saw... nothing. Not any tools to say, there were plenty of those, but there were no projects, no people, hell there was even a layer of dust on anything.

"There's... nothing?" Piers said, not comprehending what he was seeing, or rather the lack there of. At his old public school, there was always someone in the workshop, making something. From wood burning art, to cutting wood. Hell there was even wagons and small boats being made. Here there was... nothing.

"Ah, so you found it."

Piers turned around and saw Miss Nekonome(He was sure of it now, having gone through class. Monsters had a thing called 'Guises' and she wasn't the best at them.)

"Was I 'sposed to?" Piers asked.

"The headmaster notified me that you had a proficiency at utilizing a workshop, but since there's no official club or anything to use this space, the headmaster said you're free to use it." Miss Nekonome said.

"Really? Seems awfully convenient that no one else uses this space, especially a club." Piers said.

"Well, there was one, but two years ago they were shut down." Nekonome said, sadly.

"Why?"

"No explicit reason was given. The Public Safety Commission just... shut them down." She said. Piers didn't reply. That didn't sit right with him, but his teacher continued, "But anyways, you're free to use this space however you like. If the PSC ever come by and ask you to leave, just say you have the headmaster's authority to be here."

"Right, thanks teach. See you in class." Piers said, waving off Miss Nekonome as she left. Piers was once again left to his own thoughts, "Why the hell was whatever the club was in here get shut down for?"

Before he could think more, he saw Tsukune run by, "What's that about? Guess I should go check."

Tsukune was standing in front of the school. Piers could see he had all of his bags. Was planning on leaving?

"Yo, Tsukune." Piers greeted as he walked up to the boy.

"Hey Piers."

"What's going on, why do you have your bags packed?" Piers asked. Tsukune looked down.

"I'm leaving."

"What? Why?"

"I can't stay here."

"That doesn't answer my question."

"Don't you see it?!" Tsukune shouted, looking up, "This place is filled with monsters! Actual, living monsters!"

"Yeah? And?" Piers asked, throwing Tsukune off.

"What do you mean 'and'? You're not surprised?"

"Dude. The school's called 'Yokai Academy'. It's literally in the name." Piers said.

"I didn't know actual monsters would go here. Or if they even existed." Tsukune argued.

"I'll admit, I was skeptical too. But from the moment Moka drank your blood, I was convinced. I was prepared for my suspicions to come true. If you didn't even think about it, what the hell is wrong with you?" Piers asked seriously.

"What's wrong with me?! What's wrong with you?! Why aren't you packing up and leaving like I am? Why isn't Lucas?" Tsukune asked. Piers stayed silent for a moment before answering.

"Because we're not afraid. And because of a reason you know too. We met Moka, and she's a vampire. Did she seem evil or malevolent to you?" Piers asked.

"No, but what about that Komiya guy?"

"What about him? There's guys like him everywhere. Big tough bullies who think they can get whatever they want. He's not special." Piers said. It was Tsukune's turn to stay silent before responding. Piers heard what could only be Moka's footsteps behind them.

"I'm not changing my decision."

"Fine. Do whatever you want."

With that, Piers turned around and headed back to the school.

"Good luck. I tried." Piers said to Moka as he passed her. She turned to look at him and then looked back at Tsukune. When he entered the school gates, he saw Mizore off to the side.

"What happened?" She asked. Piers sighed and shook his head.

"Nothing. My friend's just having a nervous breakdown. First day of school, or homesickness. Either one." Piers lied. The girl didn't catch the lie and nodded as she turned and walked away. Turning back to the two, he saw Komiya subtly enter the forest. Lucas then came up, drawing his attention away.

"Hey, what's goin' on?"

Piers looked back to the forest and saw Komiya missing, "Come with me. I get the feeling something's about to happen."

"All your yappin' is gettin' on my nerves!" Saizou said, now in his true form, as he swatted Tsukune(And the scarecrow he was leaning up against) to the side.

"Tsukune!" Moka said as she ran up to the boy. Saizou growled at this and made to move towards them, but was stopped by burning in his side.

"AHH! WHAT THE HELL?!" He yelled as he jumped away. Moka and Tsukune looked back and saw Piers and Lucas, each holding a piece of rebar, the end ignited and red, while Piers was holding a blowtorch.

"Sorry it took so long. The metal took a while to heat up and it was a bit hard to get here quick enough." Piers said, smirking.

"How did you find us?" Moka asked.

"We knew Tsukune was leaving and Piers saw orc-boy over there slink into the forest. We headed here anyways, but heard yelling and screaming and crashing, so it was pretty easy to find you really." Lucas said.

"After I left, I took Lucas to the workshop and grabbed this stuff. If we're fighting a monster, we're not gonna fight fair." Piers said.

"Wait, so does that mean-" Moka started.

"Not now Moka. We still have a problem." Lucas said, nodding to Saizou.

"That hurt you piece of shit!" The orc growled.

"Good, it was supposed to. Now come back over here so I can do it again." Piers said with a sinister smirk. Saizou fell for the bait and rushed the humans, who dodged as he crashed into a tree.

"It's the same thing among humans and monsters. The angrier you are, the sloppier you get." Lucas taunted.

"AUGH! SHUT UP!" Saizou said as he picked up the knocked over tree and threw it. He didn't have a clear target, so long as he hit one of them, he didn't care.

"Oh shit!" Piers said as he dodged the tree. He stood up but was immediately picked up by Saizou.

"I'm gonna pop you!"

"Pop this!" Piers yelled as he aimed the blowtorch directly at Saizou's skin. He immediately started burning as he roared, dropping Piers. Lucas then jumped up and smacked the hot end of his rebar across the orc's face. Normally, that wouldn't be enough to knock him down, but the added effect of the burning end made him double over and cradle his face.

"What's the matter? Can't handle a little heat?" Lucas taunted. This only got him a backhand, sending him flying a bit and knocking him out of the fight.

"Lucas!"

"Pay attention to me, human!" Saizou called. Piers turned and caught a tree branch being swung at his stomach. He was knocked over to where Lucas landed. Saizou grinned as he turned his attention back to Moka and Tsukune.

"Now, where were we?" He said, advancing once again. Tsukune started to reach up to Moka.

"Even if you are a vampire... well, I still... I still like you Moka." He said as he briefly put his hand on her shoulder. She was crying now. As Tsukune's hand fell back down, his hand caught her rosary, breaking it off. Suddenly, Moka started to glow, drawing Piers and Lucas' attention.

"My rosary... it came off!" Moka said in surprise. The light then started to glow even brighter, forcing Saizou, Piers, and Lucas to cover their eyes. When the light died down, the whole world looked different. The sky turned red, the water turned purple, and Moka... changed. One thing, Piers noted, was that her butt and tits were bigger and her hair was silver now. But her eyes... they were fierce. Nothing like the Moka from just a few moments before.

"Hey... what the hell is this?" She looks different... and scary." Saizou said, eyes wide. For once, Piers agreed with him. What the hell happened?, "That's not the same Moka!"

"She transformed!" Tsukune said. Piers looked at him.

"She what?!" He said.

"So that's... the true form of a vampire?" Tsukune said. Piers looked back at Moka.

'True form? Damn...' Piers thought. There was no way he'd want to cross that. Saizou was panicking.

"Oh man, the tales... they're true! The red eyes... the silver hair... the overwhelming energy...! She's an S-Class Supermonster... a real vampire!" He said, panicking even more with each word. Piers couldn't blame him. The new Moka flipped her hair.

"So then, I suppose the one who woke me up was you, huh?" She said.

"What the hell? What's wrong with me?! I mean... she's only staring at me but I can't stop shaking!" Saizou said as Moka stretched her arms.

"No, this isn't right!" Moka was now hopping, loosening up.

"Hey, pull it together man! 'Cause if you took down a vampire...!" Moka was now... yawning?!

"It's time for you to know your place." Moka stated. Saizou perked up, only to be sent into the cliff behind him. Piers widened his eyes. He was sent flying! I big guy like him and he was sent flying... by a single kick!

"Yes ma'am, I'll remember that." Saizou said before he passed out.

Piers started to get up, as was Lucas, as Moka walked towards Tsukune. When Tsukune got up, he wobbled before falling. Moka caught him, his face landing in her chest, passing out. Piers smirked.

'Heh, lucky guy.' He thought as he and Lucas made their way over to this 'Inner Moka'. She turned to look at them, causing them to flinch.

"I suppose you two are also friends of my other half?" She asked.

"Other- yeah, yeah we are." Piers said, then looking to the knocked out orc, "You're really powerful, taking him out in one blow."

"It's the strength of a vampire." She said before looking at them more closely, "You two aren't fully human."

That caught Piers' attention, "What?"

"You both smell human, but there is a supernatural air around you two." Inner Moka said. That only confused the boys more.

"Like, what do you mean? Can you tell?" Lucas asked. Inner Moka shook her head.

"No, I cannot." She simply said before looking back to Tsukune, "I am about to return the rosary to it's original place. Please tell my other half what happened."

"You got it." Piers said as he nodded. She put the rosary back on and transformed back into the Moka they knew. She slumped down, eyes closed, causing Piers and Lucas to catch the two. Her eyes opened to see Piers.

"Piers, wha-what happened?" She asked.

"Let's just say, business was taken care of." Piers said as he looked back at Saizou.

"Dear Mom and Dad,

I'm writing this because there's no outside connection from the school and so I thought, 'Since the bus comes and goes once a month, may as well write a letter.

So... don't freak out when I say this, but this school's full of monsters. Actual monsters, from werewolves, to orcs, to vampires. It's... a lot, but I can deal with it.

Speaking of vampires, one of my new friends is one. I've made some pretty cool friends. A couple of humans like me and an actual vampire. She's pretty cool. Tsukune, Lucas, and Moka(She's the vampire, and she like sucking Tsukune's blood). There's also someone else. Mizore. She's a bit reclusive and I don't know what she is, but she helped me get to class. I was late anyway, but if it wasn't for her, I would've never made it at all.

My homeroom is taught by a woman who can't really keep her cat ears and tail hidden for long, but she's nice. I sit next to this girl, Kurumu, and for some reason, I don't like her.

They have a shop here, but since no one uses it, I've been given free reign. The headmaster somehow knew I like welding. Either way, I kind of got my own space.

Anyways, I won't bore you of the details of what happened the first day, so...

Until I see you guys next,

~Piers
