Stardate 2235.06
In a small village on the outskirts of Riix, the capital of Betazed, a child was born. Her father, a human, was a simple Starfleet Lieutenant who had been stationed on a three year mission to Betazed, to settle relations between the Federation and the Betazoid Elders. Her mother, a Betazoid, had fallen madly in love with the human man, claiming him as her "imzadi".
On this day, they named their daughter Elanore. But the human man had been recalled to Starfleet, his three year mission drawing to a close and though it pained him to leave his "Imzadi", he saw no other choice. He knew the Federation would frown upon him bringing back a Betazoid as his life partner when he had only been sent to Betazed to smooth out relations with the Betazoid people. He did not think they would treat his lover so kindly, nor his daughter.
And so the Lieutenant left his beloved and his daughter to live on Betazed, always keeping in contact and visiting them both when he could but it was not the same.
In the year 2242, the human man returned to Betazed, now a Commander in Starfleet to his beloved and his daughter, both whom seemed panicked. Elanore was being picked on by the children in school because her telepathic abilities were weaker than the other children's and her eyes swam with the colours of her emotions, unlike the usual large black iris' common of the Betazoids.
The Betazoid people frowned down upon unions between their kind and any other species, especially those with no previous empathic or telepathic abilities. His "Imzadi" had become an outcast on Betazed when news of her "impure" daughter had reached the ears of the Elders. They both went to the Betazoid Elders and appealed for their assistance. Their only solution was to remove the half breed from Betazed or be forever exiled.
The commander pleaded with his beloved to return to Earth with him and Elanore but she only refused. She had lived her years on Betazed and though their customs were sometimes harsh, it was still her home and she could not leave. She would be content to see her daughter live happily on Earth with her father if that meant she would not be left to feel different or an outcast.
Her Imzadi promised to visit Betazed with their daughter as often as was possible and she spoke that one day perhaps, she would be ready to journey from her home to be with them permanently.
In the year 2250, Elanore's mother was killed in the Klingon Siege over Riix and was laid to rest by The Janaran Falls on Stardate 2250.89 by Elanore and her father.
