Chp. 13: Second Chances
Police Station
June 30, 2020
Ten days later after getting arrested, Jacket and Jesse were sitting in the interrogation room finishing up their story. They two boys were currently finishing up their story.
"After getting arrested, we both got locked up here for the past several days and here we are now," Jesse said.
"Mr. Jack. Mr. Ray. You two are not the only people that have unlocked their aura," the interrogator said.
"What?" Jacket and Jesse asked in unison.
"You are just a couple of many people all over the world that have unlocked their aura. Some are using it to help others, and others are using it for their own gain. And you two are in between the lines," the interrogator said.
"So what's this have to do with the 'in between the lines' part?" Jesse asked.
"I represent the United Hunters League. An organization that was secretly founded by the headmasters of the Huntsmen academies of Remnant and a handful of world leaders of Earth," the interrogator answered.
"Who are you exactly?" Jesse asked.
"Yeah. You don't exactly talk like a cop," Jacket said.
Footsteps were heard on the other side approaching the door. The door opened and walking in to the boys' surprise was Professor Ozpin who was holding a mug of hot cocoa in one hand and a folder in the other.
"Hey! You're one of the characters from that RWBY web show," Jacket said in realization.
"Yes. My name is Professor Ozpin, and I am here with a proposition for you both," Ozpin said.
"Proposition?" Jesse asked.
"Yes. I have seen videos of you two in action and read reports of you. Some rather... questionable. But regardless, it would be a shame to see you both get locked up and see your talents go to waste," Ozpin said.
"Where are you getting at this?" Jesse asked.
"I am offering you both a spot into Beacon Academy," Ozpin answered.
"What's in it for us?" Jacket asked.
"If you accept, Your criminal records will be wiped clean, you'll get a chance at a better life, and a chance to become fully fledged Huntsmen," Ozpin answered.
"All our criminal records?" Jacket asked.
"If you follow the instructions we give you, then yes," Ozpin answered.
"Can you give us a second?" Jesse asked.
Ozpin nodded in response as Jesse and Jacket both stood from their seats and turned around.
"What do you think," Jacket asked.
"I'd say we should go for it. We would have our records wiped away clean, we will kick all kinds of ass once we're one of these Huntsmen, and we will be able to see Teresa," Jesse replied.
"I don't know about this," Jacket said.
"Come on. Just at least do it for Teresa," Jesse said.
Jacket pondered in thought for a moment, and then looked back at Jesse and gave a nod. The two boys turned back around to face Beacon's headmaster.
"We're in," Jacket said.
"Alright," Ozpin said as he then sipped from his mug and placed the folder on the table. "All I need from you are your signatures."
Jesse opened the folder and looked at one of the papers. He noticed something that quickly got his attention.
"Um, Professor Ozpin? Jacket and I don't have a phone number and address," Jesse said.
"I believe someone is out in the lobby waiting for you. She said she and her parents are willing to help you two with this if you want," Ozpin said.
"Teresa," Jacket said to himself.
"Just turn the folder in by the end of the day once you've filled out your forms," Ozpin instructed.
"Thank you," Jesse said with a smile.
Later out in the lobby, Teresa was out in the lobby, sitting on a chair waiting. Jesse and Jacket walked out of a door with Jesse holding the folder in his hand. Teresa looked up and saw the two boys coming up.
"Guys!" she exclaimed.
She got up from her seat and ran up to them and hugged them both.
"So are you gonna do it?" Teresa asked.
"Yes, we are," Jesse said.
"Professor Ozpin said your parents can help us?" Jacket asked.
"Yes. You are my brother, just as Jesse is my friend," Teresa said.
"Thanks, sis. Hopefully we can catch up for lost time now," Jacket said.
"By the way Jesse, you said that you like me, like me, right?" Teresa asked.
"Yeah. I do," Jesse answered as he nodded.
"In that case..." Teresa grabbed Jesse by his collar and kissed him on his lips.
Jesse widened his eyes in surprise for a moment before he wrapped his arms around Teresa and proceeded to return the kiss. Jacket rolled his eyes with a smile. Jesse and Teresa broke up the kiss as Teresa then spoke.
"Me too."
"Jesse, I'm just letting you know, if you hurt my sis in any way, I'll make sure no one will find your body," Jacket said with a slight glare.
"Message received," Jesse said.
"Come on. Let's get these papers filled out first. Then we can do what we want," Teresa said.
Jesse, Jacket, and Teresa then proceeded to exit the police station and leave for her home.
Unknown Household
Meanwhile in an unknown household, Bloody Mary was in the bathroom, standing in front of the sink, staring at a mirror. She looked down at her hand which was holding a pregnancy tester. She smiled as the tester showed a plus sign on it.
"Thanks for your donation, Jacket," she said.
Jesse Jack and Ornell 'Jacket' Ray will return in RWBY and Earth III

A Leviathan slowly approaches the city of Honolulu.
"Our worlds became a lot bigger," Jaune said.
A large crowd of students were dancing in a ball room.
Jesse and Jacket were sitting at a bar.
"The more people we save..." Jacob started.
Jacob and Keaton were both hugging a woman.
Weiss summons an Arma Gigas in front of a small family as Jaune amplifies Ren's semblance to help hide their emotions.
"...the more enemies we make," Jacob finished
"Fuck you fascists!" A large group of protestors chanted in front of a stage with Ozpin at the podium.
Dr. Merlot looks out from a window smiling down on a mutant Deathstalker.
A row of hooded figures held up banners baring Salem's emblem in front of a cheering crowd.
"This time we won't be alone," Yang said.
Watson's hair sets ablaze from his semblance.
Britney viciously duels against another girl in combat class.
Thousands of people sat in the stands of Amity Arena cheering.
Several Atlesian soldiers and AK-200s were in a fire fight with Taliban troops.
Sonic String blasts a group of White Fang soldiers away with her guitar.
General Ironwood stands next to a firing squad as they aimed their guns at three boys tied to poles.
Salem shakes hands with President Xi Jinping.
Adam stands behind a podium giving a speech.
"I declare independence for our new kingdom. No human shall go without facing the justice that they truly deserve," he spoke.
An Atlas airship fire its lasers down on a building.
"We can't just sit here and do nothing! We need to stop this!" Keaton shouted.
"Even if it means going against your government?" Winter asked.
Two small armies charging at each other and about to clash.
"I just want the best of both worlds, I guess," Ruby said.
