A/N

So, I didn't write for a day, not by choice btw, and forgot the details of the last chapter. So I read it and realized that I left the conversation with Hiruen in there at the beginning. I ment to delete that and say Tsuya just didn't want to deal with people at the moment cause Kurama being Kurama in his head. Lol. Just a quick side note, I know I started Tsuya being kinda emotionless and he's now suddenly thinking things are funny and crap. Simply put, Sasuke and Sa… Just Sasuke, maybe some Kakashi, broke him out of his shell. That interaction with the Ichiraku's helped him a lot. It made him realize that he wasn't as alone as he thought he was. Anyways, I know I haven't said this before, but truly, thank you all for reading this. I know it isn't the best or the most consistent, but you still gave it a try. So truly, thank you for giving it a try. Now enough with this sappy shit, let's get to the story

P.S.

I just realized I never did this so I'll do it now

I think that's everything. Also, feel free to comment on anything. I'll take constructive criticism, even if it's just pointing out something that doesn't make sense or I did wrong. Objectively. Not based on your Opinion. Like a description for the wrong character or something. Unless it's grammar or spelling. Because I know I suck in that department. Also also, don't expect regular updates. I'm on vaca right now and after work I usually have tons of paperwork. So I normally can't update like this. But no matter what I will finish this story. I don't care what happens, it's getting finished properly. Now let's actually get to the story.

Tsuya was currently walking towards the Hokage tower. Yes, walking. While he didn't like people or dealing with them, he liked walking. It gave him a chance to collect his thoughts and make plans for the future. Such as what to do with his current predicament. For whatever reason, after the preliminaries, Hiruzen asked him to meet him in his office today. On a separate day from when he was asking. That never happened. If he ever wanted to meet him or talk with him, Hiruzen would simply send someone to get him or go to him.

Once he reached the tower he walked in. The secretary glared at him and gave him the usual "what are you doing here" and "why would the Hokage want to see you" bullcrap she always did. Tsuya, for his part, ignored her as per usual and knocked on the door. "Come in." Came Hiruzen's muffled voice. When Tsuya walked in he saw a white haired man he had never seen before. He was, of course, Jiraiya and Tsuya, of course, recognized him. "You wanted to see me Lord Third?" "Yes. And right on time as usual. I would like you to meet Jiraiya of the Sannin. He is a very skilled and talented shinobi and he shall be your sensei while you're training for the chunin exam finals." "What?" Was Tsuya's genius reply. "Lord Third, if I may speak so boldly, other than a few neat ninjutsu, what could he teach me?" "A few neat ninjutsu?! What's that supposed to mean?!" Jiraiya asked in outrage. "Jiraiya, please calm down. I understand where you're coming from Tsuya, but you would be surprised what he can teach you. Give him a chance." Hiruzen asked. He knew that Tsuya could probably teach Jiraiya more than Jiraiya could ever hope to teach him, but he could still learn a few things. "Very well. But I will only give him one chance." "Thank you. Jiraiya, don't screw this up." With that, Tsuya and Jiraiya left the room. Tsuya told Jiraiya that he knows a place where they can have some peace and quiet while doing this.

A cave outside Konoha

At the edge of the forest and just outside a large cave, was a clearing perfect for training as well as relaxing. It had a river flowing just outside the clearing and there was a small lake inside the cave. "So, what can you teach me in a month's time?" Tsuya asked. "Well what are your skills? Anything you aren't particularly good at or have a natural inclination towards?" Jiraiya asked. "I guess that's a fair question. My skills are primarily taijutsu, wind jutsu, and space jutsu. I can break any genjutsu or if it's too weak it won't even affect me in the first place. I've never done any genjutsu myself. I'm a seal master. I've been told I'm a genius beyond measure that could do anything if I put my mind to it. I don't know if it's exactly true but I became a seal master in less than a month. I haven't been told how long it took anyone else so I don't know how I compare to most. I'm decent with a sword. My chakra reserves rival that of Kisame and the lower bijuu. While my reserves are massive, I can use it in nearly any way I please because of my control over it. While I don't have an affinity with any of the other elements I am still capable of using them with only minor difficulty." Jiraiya was in shock. This kid was either an incredible liar or he was so exceptionally skilled to the point where he made people like Minato and Itachi look normal. "I-I see. Well, there isn't much I can do for you. I can teach you some of the Fourth's jutsus and give you a summoning contract." "Sure. I already have the shiki formula for the hiraishin. Though I don't care for it much. But the rasengan, I never attempted it as it felt like I was stealing from him, I've always been fascinated with it. And you mentioned a summoning contract? I've only ever seen a few before. Interesting." "Wait, you've seen other summoning contracts?" "Yeah." "And you didn't sign them?" "Correct." "Why?" "Well I nearly signed several of them but after actually meeting them and speaking with them I had decided against it. Some of them had some pretty extreme demands. The wolves wanted me to offer them literal tons of meat every time I summoned them and I wasn't going to hunt all life into extinction. The turtles wanted me to only summon them on specific days. I did come across one interesting one. The mythical summoning contract of the Reaper. He engraved the summoning seal onto my left arm. It can compress itself into the middle of my palm so it isn't in the way. He said I could sign any other contract and they wouldn't mind. Though he did make a deal with me that he said I can't reveal for whatever reason. He's actually a pretty chill guy once you meet him. The only thing he really does is make sure people don't spend more time than they're supposed to while in the world of the living and make some deals." "Wait. You mean the reaper, as in the reaper, like the Shinigami?" "Yes." "YOU MADE A DEAL WITH THE GOD OF DEATH?!" "Yes. Don't bother asking as I'm not allowed to reveal any information about it. Now about your summoning contract." "Huh? Oh yes. Do you want to try forming a contract with them?" "I'd like to meet them first." Jiraiya went through the hand sleas for the summoning. When he was done, Gamabunta appeared in front of him. "What do you want Jiraiya? Why did you summon me?" "Someone was thinking about signing the contract and they said before they signed it they wanted to meet with you." Jiraiya explained. "I wanted to know what your requirements were for summoning and working alongside you?" Tsuya asked. "Oh, and what can you offer as far as senjutsu?" Tsuya continued. "Who do you think you're talking to, brat?" Gamabunta asked. "The head of the toad summoning clan." Tsuya stated matter of factly. "So you know who I am and yet you still act so arrogant. If you want to be our new summoner you're going to have to pass a test." "I already said I wanted to know your requirements before I agreed." "We don't really have any. Just don't be a bad person or do anything to harm the innocent." "I see. In that case, what's the test?" "Stick to my back for the rest of the day while I try to throw you off." "Is there anything quicker?" "No." "I see." Tsuya created a blood clone and it started walking towards Gamabunta. "You think a clone will suffice?" Gamabunta asked, irritated. "More than. I simply wish to use my time as efficiently as possible, which includes training during this time period. So I wish to train while my clone does your test." "The arrogance! I will not allow it!" Gamabunta said. "Then let's make a bet. If my clone passes your test then you must agree to teach me senjutsu and if it fails I will complete any request you have for me. Deal?" "Deal." Gamabunta said with absolute confidence in his victory. "Jiraiya, let's go this way. I would like to start working on the rasengan." "Sure."

Jiraiya and Tsuya went into the cave while Gamabunta with C. Tsuya on his back started jumping around wildly. C. Tsuya was simply reading a book while keeping himself attached with chakra. "So how many steps are there to learn the rasengan?" "There are only 3. The first," Jiraiya tossed a water balloon to Tsuya, "is to pop a water balloon while swirling your chakra around." "I see. That was easy." Tsuya said as he popped it after causing tons of spikes to stick out on the sides. "Well I guess you're ready for the next step." Jiraiya was shocked. It had taken him a week just to get that step down. "The next step is to do the same thing with a rubber ball." Jiraiya said to Tsuya before he tossed him a rubber ball. This one seemed to take a little bit longer for Tsuya. However, he had it on his eighth attempt. "Slightly more difficult. What's next?" "T-the last step is to create a swirling ball inside a hollow balloon without popping it. Here." He said. He was shocked. That step took him just over a week and Tsuya had gotten it in five minutes. "May I see what the final product is supposed to look like. I would like to know that I'm doing it right and not making some kind of mistake that is making it much easier." "Yeah sure." Jiraiya said as he created a rasengan. "Ah. It appears I was doing something wrong. I was making several ellipses that were slightly rotated relative to each other. It appears it's supposed to be much more chaotic. I see now. It's controlled chaos. How fascinating." Tsuya said as he tried it again. This time letting his chakra flow like a whirlpool pulling from all directions before trying to control it. "This may take more time than I previously thought." Tsuya created an army of about 50 shadow clones, all of whom lined up and started the training. "Could you make one more and maintain it so I can study it?" Tsuya asked as he pulled out a large notebook from nowhere. He started to write down notes on a blank page with descriptions and drawings of the rasengan. After a few minutes he closed his notebook. He created another clone that immediately dispelled itself, giving all its information to all of the other clones. "It appears you've learned the secret of the shadow clone." "Yes. I think it'll take me a few hours for this step. While the clones are working on that, is there anything else you could teach me?" "Seals?" "I suppose we could exchange information on seals. Let's go this way." Tsuya said as they headed to the corner of the cave. He grabbed another notebook from nowhere and opened it as he and Jiraiya started exchanging information. When Jiraiya asked Tsuya how he removed Orochimaru's cursed seal, Tsuya explained that he had seen one before and had made some hypothesis about how it was applied and how it worked. When he had asked Sakura how Orochimaru had applied it, his theories had all but been confirmed. "You see, when Orochimaru bites his victims he injects a chemical into the recipient. This chemical acts as a bonding agent of sorts. It also corrupts the user's mind and brings out negative emotions which the seal relies on. If a user doesn't have any negative emotions then the seal won't work. So I used an old chakra transfer seal that is obsolete at this point. I confined the cursed seal and briefly activated it to extract some of the chemical. After that I injected my chakra with negative emotions before sealing it. I placed the seal onto the prisoner. When I was ready I activated the chakra transfer array and the seal on the prisoner. I then injected the chemical into the prisoner and used my chakra to keep it from spreading too far. Once I was sure that it wasn't going anywhere I had Kakashi make them touch shoulders. Because of the negative chakra and the chemical in the prisoner the cursed seal slowly transferred itself from Sasuke onto the prisoner. I don't know if it would happen everytime but the seal activated and caused the prisoner to transform. I had to do the same thing with Anko a couple days later, but the prisoner didn't transform. I don't know if it was because it was an older model or if it simply was more compatible with the prisoner." "Interesting, so instead of trying to break the seal you transferred it." "Yes. I've been wondering if it can work with other cursed seals like the Caged Bird seal or if it was only due to Orochimaru's sloppy work. If so, then what else? What about seals on inanimate objects? While I know it must be possible to break the seals without harming the person I haven't figured it out yet. Do you have any thoughts?" "I see. Well, I have no ideas on breaking it but about the transferring of seals and inanimate objects. What if we used a chakra transfer array of sorts and used chakra ink or chakra-infused blood for ink? We could create a stronger array and create a seal that would act as a specific point for the seal to transfer itself to. Then we could move the seals onto objects and study them further." "That's amazing! I never would've thought of that!" Tsuya was starting to really get into this. Seals were one of the few things that he found enjoyment in. There was nothing that seals couldn't do. "Okay, here me out. I know this isn't right but if an emergency ever arose, we could create a seal that would combine objects or people. Like a fusion of sorts." "Tsuya," Jiraiya started in a dark tone. "I know! I know! It isn't right. But I'm not saying we would use it for that. If someone needed an organ transplant and we had the organ on hand. We could use it to speed up the transfer process. It could also guarantee that there wouldn't be any chance of the host rejecting the organ because the DNA would mix. This could revolutionize the medical industry!" "I won't allow it. It's too dangerous!" "Okay then. I won't do it. I can't say that I'll forget about it, but I won't make it." "Good. Now let's move onto something else. So how do you pull things out of nowhere?" "Oh that. As a member of the Bugendai clan I can use the space release. I combined that with seals to create a personnel storage space that I can grab from at any point. It's like having a large storage room that I can walk into at any time I need. It was a very common ability among the members of my clan." "I see. So it isn't something that anyone could use?" "Right." Their conversation continued into other obscure areas of sealing like space manipulation and gravity. After several hours, Tsuya stopped mid sentence and his eyes widened before he smiled. He smiled as he stood up and performed the rasengan with only one hand. "You got it. Congrats." Jiraiya said. During their conversation he had realized that Tsuya, while not selfish, would do anything to make sure his goals were accomplished. Which would normally be a bad trait was a great thing in the case of Tsuya. He had no desires for himself. If he felt that someone needed to die for his goals then he would make sure they would die, but at the same time he would save anyone he cared for. Regardless of the circumstances. Even if it meant that he would die. "Why are you so selfless? Why are you willing to go so far for the village and the ones you care for?" Jiraiya asked. "Jiraiya, make no mistake, I don't care about the village. Only my precious people that reside in it. The only reason I protect this village is because it is needed for me to achieve my goal." "Which is?" "To fulfill my friend's dream for her." "What was her dream? Who was she?" "She was the person who gave my life purpose. She was an amazing person who was completely selfless. If she was put into a position to either save herself or a random civilian, she would do anything for that one civilian. All she wanted was for the world to have a lasting peace so that nobody had to go through what she did. So that nobody would ever grow up poor or without food. So that everybody could have a happy life with their family and friends. She gave my life a purpose. And I couldn't do anything for her! I had to watch as she died in my arms because I wasn't strong enough to protect her! She had asked me about my past and who I was but I never got to tell her! She had told me everything about herself! And I couldn't do anything for her! She had told me her wish to see a world without suffering or pain. So that's what I plan to give her. And after I accomplish her goal I think that I'll either go into a retirement or just disappear from the world. After all, what good is a tool that can't be used?" "Tsuya I…" Jiraiya didn't know what to say. There was nothing he could say. "I'm sorry." "Don't be. You had nothing to do with it." "I would like to ask just one more question. How far are you willing to go to achieve your goal?" "There is no length too far or too short. If it is required that I become the world's enemy or stop a war then so be it. And if I must stop a world ending threat or be the cause of that very threat, it is all the same. As long as I accomplish her dream I don't care what the cost is." Jiraiya suddenly realized exactly what type of person Tsuya was. Tsuya was given 3 options in life. Become the next Orochimaru, become what he is now, or end it all. He was glad that Tsuya became the person he did, even if it was a sad story.

Shortly after that Gamabunta returned with C. Tsuya still on his back. He had, begrudgingly, accepted that Tsuya was worthy of becoming the new toad summoner. "So about that deal. I would like to get started right away. Where do we begin?" He asked Gamabunta as his clone dispelled itself. "I can't teach you the sage arts but Jiraiya can get you started. Tomorrow you can summon Fukasaku so you can learn more on the topic.

Tsuya's training with Jiraiya went well. He learned how to sense and summon forth the senjutsu chakra all around them. He hadn't managed to balance it yet but it would come with time. Tsuya had asked Kurama why he hadn't learned senjutsu. Kurama had told him that senjutsu avoided him as well as the other bijuu because they were effectively corrupted pieces of nature that had gained sentience.

After that Tsuya went to check on Zabuza and Haku when he asked a strange question. "Hey Haku, do you mind if I have a sample of your blood?" "What? Why?" "Research. I'm curious about how your kekkei genkai affects your body." That was part of the reason but it wasn't everything. After his talk with Jiraiya yesterday, Tsuya realized that he would need to speed up his research and his plans. Jiraiya was vehemently against his work. While Tsuya would admit that it seemed like an Orochimaru thing to do he didn't care. It was required for his plans. He was a researcher as well as a shinobi. "Sure?" "Thank you." Tsuya said as he grabbed out a syringe and took a blood sample. He then labeled the syringe as ice release. He then went to Yamato. He told him basically the same thing and took two samples, both labeled wood release. Then he went to Sasuke under the pretense that he was making sure that everything was okay with him and that there were no side effects. Which was true. He wanted to make sure that there were no side effects and no residue from the cursed seal. If there was then he would need to find a way to purify it so he can use the DNA. He labeled the sample as Sasuke. He went home to his lab, which was hidden underground along with his personnel training ground, and did the research he said he was doing. He figured out that there were no side effects of the tests done on Yamato and there was no residue left within Sasuke's DNA, so he changed the label to say sharingan. He noticed something odd about Haku's DNA though. The ice release froze some of the cells, giving them a sort of ice shell. This also explained why Haku was always slightly cold to the touch. He put the sample back with all his other samples. He had samples on every kekkei genkai with the exception of the bone release and the byakugan. After that he started working on the seal that he spoke about with Jiraiya. He had the idea for something like that for that but he hadn't started working on it as there were always other things to do. After a couple hours he stopped and went to the training ground where Jiraiya was waiting for him. Once there they summoned Fukasaku and he proceeded to teach Tsuya about senjutsu and what it was. How to harness it and how to keep it within one's self safely. Tsuya made an attempt and realized that this was going to take quite a while to learn. He tried all day. Fukasaku had asked if he wanted to go to Mt. Myobuku to train but Tsuya refused. If he did that then he wouldn't be able to focus on his research. After that he went home and continued his research late into the night. When he woke up he went to the same place as before to continue his training. He did all the same things. The following day as well. Deciding that this wasn't working he decided to try something different. He tried to force the senjutsu to cooperate. And it worked. If only a little. The next day he went to the training spot and summoned Fukasku earlier than normal. "Sorry if it's a little early. I've realized that my nature simply doesn't work with your version of sage mode so I was wondering if there are any other ways of activating sage mode?" "There are a few. But I can not teach them to you. Not because I am unwilling but because I am incapable of it. You could try to adapt the senjutsu chakra to yourself so you can merge with it better. That is the only other way I know of but it is dangerous. If you mess up it can end with disastrous results." "Thank you. I don't think I'll be able to train with you any longer as that is the case. Take care." Tsuya said before he sent Fukasaku back. When Jiraiya had arrived he asked what Tsuya was doing without Fukasaku so Tsuya told him that toad style senjutsu doesn't work for him so he was going to try to make his own style. Tsuya had absorbed senjutsu and learned everything he needed to do. He just needed to learn to integrate with it to create his own sage mode. He sat on the ground perfectly still as he thought of how best to do this. How should he try to integrate with the senjutsu chakra he had absorbed? He sat there for the rest of the day with no progress. He went home and continued his research. This cycle repeated over the next week.

Jiraiya had stopped training with Tsuya seeing as there was nothing he could do for him. They would still meet up and talk about seals. Tsuya had managed to complete his fusion seal as he called it. The day after he stopped trying to learn senjutsu he told Jiraiya that he was going to take a break from training. Instead of training he was testing the fusion seal. When he was certain that nothing would go wrong and that there would be no serious side effects he had used it on himself. He used the sample of Sasuke's DNA that he had first as it would be the easiest to hide. It worked. He felt sick for the rest of the day. The following day, he tested it and discovered that he already had two three tomoe sharingan. 'Perfect.' It wasn't like a transplant so it wasn't always active. He had effectively developed the genes within his body to have a sharingan. But he still felt a little sick so he didn't use another set of DNA. After some thought he had decided to not use any of the others until as he didn't know how they would affect his body. For example, since the ice release causes the person's body to always be slightly cold to the touch, what would the lava release do? What would happen if both of them were in the same body? How would his body react? Thankfully, there didn't appear to be any physical side effects such as a change in eye color but what about the others? He still had many questions that needed to be answered before he continued. He felt fine after the third day. Now there was only two weeks before the chunin exams so he decided to continue working on his sage mode. During his time studying the effects of the fusion seal he had decided what his goal for senjutsu was. As in what style of sage mode he wanted to develop. Why would he try to use an animal sage mode when he was the exact opposite of how most animals acted? Most animals were instinctual while he was methodical. They were aggressive while he was calm. They, usually, wouldn't attack their own while he wouldn't hesitate. They tried their best to survive while he couldn't care less. So, because they tried their best to stay with nature he would go against it. He asked the reaper to teach him the sage mode and the sage arts of the reaper. When he asked the reaper for help he just laughed. "You want me to teach you about the sage arts? You want me to teach you how to blend with nature?" The reaper asked. "Yes. I signed the summoning contract so I can summon you when I want. So I figured I would take advantage of that and try to learn from you. You represent half of nature. One half is also fighting for survival and life but you are the other half. Death. You are the end that all roads lead to. So I would like to learn your sage arts." "Hahaha! Of everyone who has ever summoned me, you are the first to ever ask such a thing. I like it. But I cannot teach you. There is only one who can teach you and he cannot be reasoned with. If he decides that you die then you die. It will feel like centuries have passed as you suffer every way you could possibly die at every moment but no time will pass in the world of the living. Are you sure about this?" The reaper asked. "Absolutely." Tsuya asked. The reaper nodded and teleported them both to the dimension of death.

(To be clear, this is NOT another universe. It is another dimension within the universe. There is a difference.)

The Dimension of Death: A plane of existence in which the primordial god of death resided and where all reapers were created. Reapers would go out into the mortal plane and to planets where there was life whenever an entity was on the verge of death or was dying. They would take the soul and return to the Dimension of Death where the soul would be judged and sent to heaven, hell, or to be reincarnated, in their own world or otherwise.

The reaper that Tsuya had summoned had taken him to the primordial God of Death. He had many names such as Maveth, Thanatos, Anubis and the Grim Reaper, but the one he typically went by was "Lord Death. This mortal wishes to learn from you." The reaper said as he walked away and left Tsuya there. Tsuya took a step forward and he suddenly felt his own death. He felt every way he could possibly die. Exhaustion, starvation, drowning, stabbing, dehydration, disease, everything. But it didn't deter him. Tsuya kept walking until he was standing in front of Lord Death's desk. Lord Death was a tall figure, appearing to be about 9 feet tall, with a large and flowing black robe that reflected no light. The hood was a little longer than most hoods, coming down farther and obstructing its face. It had a pendant hanging around its neck in the shape of an hourglass. When it finally looked up and Tsuya saw its face he could not tell what gender it was. He could not tell what it was. It was like a mass of living darkness was looking at him. It had a vaguely humanoid shape. "What do you want, mortal?" It asked. "I wish to learn the sage arts from you. Would you be willing to teach me?" Tsuya asked. He was terrified but he didn't let it get to him. "Interesting. Most mortals would have fallen into madness by now. I wonder why you're special. Why should I help you in your endeavors?" It asked. "There is no reason I can give you. And there is nothing of value that I could give you. I am simply a greedy mortal that wishes to learn from you." Tsuya said. "Do not lie to me. If you had no reason you could give me then you would not be here." Tsuya was surprised that Lord Death had seen through his facade at first. Then he realized that this is a being that is as old as all reality if not older. So he decided to be honest. "I want this power so that I can accomplish my goal and my friend's dream. And so that I can feel as though my friend didn't waste their life in helping me. So that I may give my life a purpose." Tsuya said. "Hmmm. Is there anything else?" "Not that I can think of." "I see. Die." With that one word, Tsuya felt his body start to wither away. It started to actually wither away. 'This can't be happening. I still have so much to do. I can't die like this!' Tsuya screamed in his mind. He couldn't let this happen. No, he wouldn't let this happen. He tried enforcing his body with chakra but that did nothing. He tried calling upon any natural energy he could, but there wasn't any. Nothing worked. He couldn't die like this. Then he thought, 'Wait, maybe this is a test. If I want to learn Reaper style Sage Mode then I need to become one with death. In that case, I shouldn't fight this.' Tsuya stopped trying to fight it and instead sat down and started to meditate. Trying to memorize this feeling in an effort to become one with death. The feeling of him withering away stopped. No, it started to feel natural. Normal even. "You're the first person to ever try that. There aren't many that would be able to adapt like that. I shall allow you to stay here as you attempt to learn the sage arts. Until I see you make progress I will not attempt to help you in any way." With that said, Lord Death went back to doing paperwork. Tsuya continued meditating. Everytime he felt himself dying in a new way he would focus on it. Attempting to become one with it.

Years had passed since he had started his training and Tsuya hadn't moved. Not once did he feel the need to eat or drink, even when he felt like he was starving. He never felt the need to relieve himself or do anything. He sat there and concentrated on every feeling of dying individually until there was nothing left. He had experienced every possible death and become one with them all. For the first time, Lord Death spoke up. "It appears you have made some progress after all. If you could not handle that then there would have been no point to any of this. I'm surprised that you held on. There is only one thing left for you to do. You must learn to integrate with a reaper." "If it is possible I would like to try it with you." "You are quite bold. I will allow it though. If you cannot take it I will kill you. Are you prepared for that?" "Yes." Lord Death walked over to Tsuya and tried to pull him into its own body. Tsuya did not resist, but he tried to become one with it. He tried to make the feeling of absolute death normal. He never stopped. Many more years had passed and he had not given up. He was getting close. He could feel it. Until one day the feeling of death was gone. No, it was there, but he couldn't notice it anymore. "I'm impressed that you managed to pull it off. Now you have access to the Reaper style Sage Mode. You are the first and likely the last. Congrats." Tsuya was pleased with the turn of events. He had changed as a result of him entering the Reaper style Sage Mode. No, this couldn't be called a Sage Mode. There was no natural energy involved. Natural energy was the energy of life, but this was the opposite. It could be said that it used the energy of the afterlife. Natural energy ran through all living things, but this surrounded all living things. All life was constantly in the clutches of death, even if they didn't know it. It was Reaper Mode.

Because of Reaper Mode, Tsuya had become deathly pale and constantly emanated a feeling of death and despair. Not to the same level of Lord Death but it was still there. His eyes had become pitch black. There was no pupil or iris, just a pitch black abyss. His face was covered in black markings that looked like a geometric skull. Tsuya could feel the energy flowing through him. The energy that would normally surround him and keep him within its clutches was now one with him. "Thank you, Lord Death." Tsuya said. Shortly after that he was returned to the world of the living.

Tsuya had a sudden feeling of exhaustion wash over him as he felt all of the work he had done, even if it was mental work, hit him. He had just experienced several years worth of thinking and experiences in less than a second. It was exhausting. But it was worth it. Now he was one step closer to accomplishing his goal. He decided to rest for the next couple days so he could have some time to readjust to the world of the living. After he had fully rested and adjusted he decided to try and see what he could do with his new found Reaper Mode. He found that it enhanced all his physical abilities and it increased his chakra efficiency and control. It also sent all the nearby animals fleeing in panic. Fortunately it didn't seem to alter his mentality in any way. 'Good. There aren't any noticeable side effects.' Tsuya was worried as he had heard that many of the summoning clan Sage Modes altered people's mentality and thought process.

Now that Tsuya had accomplished his primary goal for the month of training he had planned to do physical training for the rest of the time. Now it was time for the chunin exams.

A/N

Okay. Before you guys say anything. I know, the whole thing with the reaper's is kinda weird. The name for the energy of death is pretty stupid. And Reaper Mode? It sounds like a six year old came up with it. Sorry but I couldn't think of anything else to call it. If you have any ideas please feel free to leave a review. If I don't see any by the time I upload chapter 8 then I'm gonna stick with it. Also, the whole dimension of death. A dimension is different from a universe. There are a theoretical infinite number of dimensions or "planes of existence" within a universe. I think that's everything I wanted to address. See you all next time.

Sincerely,

The dumbass that is still tired
