So, if this didn't make it obvious, I just watched The Loud House Movie not too long ago, and I liked it. I figure it could've done a bit more with its concepts, but hey, that's what fanfics are for.

Well, if you remember Lux-Umbra Magna Auguratricis, the magical girl story, I'm gonna do something similar to it: beyond this pilot, the story will be twelve episodes, divided in two chapters each, so about… 25 chapters, give or take a couple more.

As for everything else… I do have a few things planned, don't worry, but I'm gonna take it easy here. That is to say, this story won't have a set schedule; it'll update when I can.

That's about it for now, only thing left to say is, watch the movie when you can, it's on Netflix and it's actually pretty decent. Oh, and this story might work better with some knowledge of what happens in the movie.

Also, there are spoilers abound for the movie, but then again anything The Loud House isn't particularly heavy on spoilers, so it's not that big a deal. Still, tread carefully.

And now, to the pilot!

The rooster did its call as the Loud family slowly woke up… and remembered something very important.

They were no longer living in Royal Woods, but in the Loud Castle in Loch Loud, Scotland, their ancestral home.

And as they had breakfast at their comically long table, the atmosphere felt… odd.

"Huh, you know, I thought that moving to Scotland wouldn't be that weird after we had a week to settle in," Rita remarked. "But now that I have some time to look around, the castle feels a little… empty, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, the place is so big, it feels like it was built for giants," Lynn remarked before taking a bite of her food. "And let me tell you, it's not helping me deal with my size."

Lola squinted her eyes. "Hey, you're right: your lack of height is much more notable in a big environment."

"Shut up!" Lynn yelled as Lola laughed. "You know I'm insecure about my size!"

"Well, you're only a teenager," Leni argued.

Luan spat out her drink. "Oh my Loki, Leni, you just made it so much worse!"

"I did?" Leni frowned as Luan laughed and she turned to the athlete. "Sorry, Lynn."

"No, it's alright," Lynn sighed. "Though, while you're at it, can someone see why Lincoln's so sad?"

Everybody turned to see the only son of the family, and the splitting image of his duke ancestor, tapping his peas with a forlorn expression.

"What's wrong, champ?" Lynn Sr. asked. "You were the most excited to move to Scotland before."

"I know, and I do think that it was a good choice," Lincoln sighed. "I just can't help but feel a little sad over how-"

"Greetings, family."

The Louds gasped as a certain, familiar ghost flew down and sat next to Lucy.

"Lucille!" Lincoln gasped. "I thought you were in the spirit realm, or wherever it is that ghosts reside."

"When Lucy summoned me, I managed to extend the summoning to the rest of my siblings and parents," Lucille explained as she patted Lucy's hair. "I figured that since you're going to stay here for…"

Lucille paused and lowered her head, falling silent until Luan asked:

"Forever?"

"Yeah, forever. I figured since that would be the case, you'd want to learn more about your ancestors. So I took the liberty of summoning them too."

"Oh, yeah, family bonding squared!" Luna chirped. "I can't wait to learn archery from my ancestor! She was an archer, right? She kinda looks like it-"

"Uh, sure, she was an archer," Lucille hummed. "In fact, I think she's been training since she-"

"And what about my ancestor?" Lisa asked while adjusting her glasses. "I'd like a few words with her: if she was as smart as me, then I have to question why Scotland isn't more technologically advanced."

"To be fair, she was planning something big before the whole Morag thing happened."

An awkward silence enveloped the room, at least until Lincoln changed the subject:

"So, wait, how are we gonna deal with the school? I'm still supposed to study in Royal Woods!"

"Now that you mention it," Lana grimaced. "We're all supposed to still be studying in Royal Woods."

"No need to worry, dear family," Lisa tented her fingers and adjusted her shining glasses. "I already built something to deal with that conundrum."

At the front yard of the castle, the Loud family looked in awe at a mechanical platform in the middle of the garden, with the dragon of the house, Lela, sniffing it.

"I present to you, family, the Loud Teleporter 3000!" Lisa proudly proclaimed. "Named "3000" cuz it sounds cool, and totally not because I made 2999 failed ones that I fed Lela to hide my failures."

The dragon then burped, with a piece of metal flying down and landing near Lisa. The scientist shook, but was otherwise unfazed.

"And when did you have time to build this?" Lola asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I may or may not have stayed awake past my bedtime in order to ensure everything went right," Lisa adjusted her glasses as she yawned. "But what matters is not how it was made, its what it does! With this little baby, we can teleport back to our house whenever we want!"

Lisa walked to the platform, and her family followed suit.

"All we have to do is step on the platform, press the button and…"

Lisa pushed a button, and the Louds found themselves at the backyard of their house in Royal Woods, everyone taking a moment to look around their former home before Lisa teleported them back to their castle.

"So, the whole "school is quite a distance away" issue is resolved," Lisa stated. "No need to thank me."

Lucille lowered her head. "It might've been better as a one-way trip."

"Why do you say that?"

The ghost flinched, and waved her hand. "Nevermind, I was thinking about the past. Please ignore what I just said."

"Consider it done," Lynn said with a snap of her fingers. "Now, since today's Sunday, I'm gonna ride Lela!"

"Hey, no fair, you rode her yesterday!" Lana whined, trying to push the athlete away. "It's my turn now!"

"Everyone will get their turn!" Rita stated, separating the duo.

"That's right!" Lynn Sr. added with a raised index finger. "And for that reason, your mother and I will ride Lela today!"

"LYNN!"

"What?!" the athlete yelled.

"Not you! I mean your father!"

"Yeah, even in another country and a brand new home, our family's like that all the time," Lincoln said to the reader, before turning to Lucille. "I kinda envy how good your family got along."

"No, don't worry," Lucille smiled. "We all had issues of our own."

"That sounds… very worry-worthy."

"Regardless, I believe I'm being called," the Lucy lookalike clasped her hands. "I take it you can calm your family down?"

"Yeah, no biggie, I did it all the time back in Royal Woods," Lincoln proudly answered. "Hopefully, this time I'll do it without bruises."

And so, Lincoln went to try calm the dragon riding discussion down, with Lucille nodding and flashing a little smile before she flew off.

She went to the docks at the entrance of Loch Loud, where the rest of her spectral family floated in waiting.

"Ah, Lucille, you're back," the Lynn ancestor remarked. "And just in time, too. Angus is about to return."

The ghostly figure turned forward, and saw Angus rowing a boat to the docks, a certain woman sitting on the boat alongside him.

Once they arrived at the docks, the man and woman got off the boat, and any doubt Lucille had was evaporated: the woman with Angus, who left soon after to check on the modern Louds, was none other than Morag, the same woman who nearly killed her descendants not too long ago.

"Greetings, Morag."

The woman flinched and turned around to see the ghosts of the royal Louds looking at her, the Lisa ancestor floating forward and stating:

"Don't fret, for although your transgressions against our family might've been unforgivable, we can reach a compromise to minimize the dilemma of dealing with the consequences of your actions."

The woman, naturally, didn't understand the ghost's babbling, so the ancestor that looked like Leni translated:

"What you, like, did to our family was horrible, but we're willing to put it under the rug!"

Then she leaned to the Luan ancestor and whispered, "Our rug is big enough, right?"

The jester shrugged with a smile, all while Lucille looked on with confusion… or at least, as much as her expressionless face could muster.

"We need your help for a little… plan, that Charlotte over here has made," the duke explained while the Lisa ancestor curtsied.

"Ugh, and you seriously think I want anything to do with your family at this point!?" Morag growled, stomping the ground. "Even if I didn't hate you with every fiber of my being, what if I just say no?"

The Lana ancestor smiled. "Lela could have an afternoon snack."

Lucille and Morag gasped in unison as the duke continued:

"It's simple: help us achieve our plan, and we'll pardon your attempts at dethroning our family. Don't, and we'll make your punishment a bit more… permanent."

"And the best part is, you don't have to like us!" the Luan ancestor cheered. "You just have to obey us! Hahaha!"

Morag looked about ready to yell at the jester, but she stopped herself and caught her breath. She scanned the spectral entities, a forlorn look of acceptance on her face, and so she tied her hair back into a bun and growled:

"What do you require… Your Highness?"
