Hello Friends and welcome to a new fic!

I'm still working on Sharks and Ninjas, though I had an idea for a new fic, and also after 2 years of avoiding the dreaded Covid-19 virus, it finally got me! So I've had to self isolate. I'm alright though, if not a little sniffy and coughing, and the time at home gives me a chance to write more, that is if writer's block doesn't hit me.

But anyway...

This is another story focusing on the Ninja Turtles daughters, Pandora and Kemeko. The Hamato fanily are spending a summer holiday at Casey's farmhouse and the girls come across a baby Green Man (Like the creature Michelangelo, Donatello and Casey tried to save from Dr Abigail Finn in the episode 'The Monster Hunter') and they befriend it. I have to admit I took inspiration from the films 'E.T' and 'The Water Horse'.

I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think!

A Secret Friend

Chapter One

It was a perfect day.

The height of the summer was present in the countryside in the state of Massachusetts, the leaves glowed in different shades of green in the sunshine and acted as shades for those who wished to avoid the direct glares by the rich brown trunks and that same sun shone down on a farmhouse that stuck out like a tiny jewel in a clearing in the woods.

On the porch sipping cold drinks, four male turtles, a female lizard, an elderly male rat and two humans, a man and woman sat on deckchairs and the swing seat looking out at the front, taking advantage of the shade.

Out the front, an 13-year-old female lizard/turtle hybrid and a 10-year-old female Japanese human girl threw a frisbee to each other.

As the human girl threw the frisbee at her companion, she leapt into the air and caught it then did a back flip as she did so.

"Nice leap there Pandora!" the orange masked turtle called out to which the female hybrid did a bow.

"Thanks Uncle Mikey!" she called over.

"Got your eye on the ball there! Or should I say Frisbee?" the red masked one known as Raphael asked with a proud smirk.

"You betcha dad!" Pandora grinned.

Raphael chuckled and leaned back on the swing seat where he sat with his wife, the Lizard Lady Monalisa.

"She's been doing well in her training!" he commented to which Monalisa smiled and leaned on his shoulder.

Pandora then threw the frisbee at her human companion and she did three back springs before standing up in a graceful pose and grabbed it effortlessly to which the blue masked turtle known as Leonardo applauded.

"That's my girl Kemeko!" he called over "Well done!"

Kemeko smiled and gracefully bowed to her adopted father, and Pandora scoffed.

'Show off!" she muttered.

Splinter the rat tittered a little as he saw Pandora's frown and read her lips.

As much as he knew the girls loved each other so much, almost more like sisters than cousins, they did have a bit of a rivalry.

Pandora had always been the most energetic and loudest of the two, she never liked to sit still long enough and could be impatient.

Not that much different from her father Raphael.

But despite her antics, she did have a kind heart and was very protective of her loved ones.

Kemeko meanwhile was the quiet one, very much like Leonardo, spiritual and happy to meditate and study hard in the ways of bushido.

But despite their differences, the two girls balanced each other out perfectly and were the best of friends.

"Hey!" the red headed human woman April called over "You girls want some lemonade?"

"Yes please!" Kemeko called over and raced to the porch getting there before Pandora did.

"You betcha! Thanks Aunt April!" Pandora panted.

April smiled and poured the girls a couple of drinks with ice-cubes which they took gratefully.

"It's starting to get pretty hot too!" Donatello said, "Not that it wasn't already hot, but you girls need to avoid the sun at this time!" he glanced as his watch "The hours between 11am-3pm are the hottest part of the day, and you must avoid getting heatstroke!"

Pandora and Kemeko glanced at the purple masked turtle.

"He's right actually." Casey said as he took a sip of lemonade "Best stay in the shade for a bit, then you can play some more when it's cooled down a bit."

"Alright Uncle Don, Uncle Casey." Kemeko and Pandora said together then whilst Pandora sat on the swing seat with Raphael and Monalisa, Kemeko went to sit with Leonardo.

"Are you having fun Lotus Blossom?" Leonardo asked.

Kemeko nodded.

"It's nice to come here in the summer." She said, "Though I do wish Sonia, Freya and Loki could join us."

Leonardo smiled as he thought of the children in Mutopia in Chicago, although Sonia the Chameleon was practically a teenager now, being a lot older than Pandora and Kemeko, and the Geckolings, the twin children of Tyroth the Dragon and Sephie the Gecko.

"I know," he said, "But you know that they can't always join us when they want to, not with the Chicago Knights duties in their home city, very much like we have ours in New York."

Kemeko nodded in agreement.

"Pandora's been asking Sonia if she's managed to get out in the field yet." She admitted "Being a squire or knight in training and all."

"That's so typical of your cousin hmm?" Leonardo asked as he looked at Pandora who was deep in conversation with her parents and Michelangelo.

"Wanting to know if Sonia's gotten to the excitement of being a Chicago Knight, and her wanting to join us so badly in the field."

Kemeko looked over at Pandora.

It was true, the lizard mutant hybrid was excited to get in the field with the grown-ups and she took her training seriously, yet she was always disappointed when she was told she had to wait a little longer before she was a fully trained ninja.

Pandora knew it too, but it didn't stop her showing her family what she could do when it came to fighting and ninja skills.

After an hour had passed, Pandora asked her parents if she could go for a walk in the woods.

"A walk?" Mona asked her daughter.

"Please mum!" Pandora pleaded "I just want to have a walk around the farmhouse, and maybe work up an appetite before lunch?"

"That's a good idea!" Michelangelo praised "You are wise to think so!"

"Quiet you!" Raphael said to Michelangelo.

It annoyed the red masked turtle when Michelangelo either agreed or encouraged Pandora, especially if it was something naughty or cheeky.

"I don't see any harm in it!" April piped up "The woods surrounding the house are well shaded and as long as she stays away from the neighbouring farms and doesn't cross the boundaries, she'll be just fine!"

Casey nodded in agreement.

"I made sure the boundaries are set up so that when the girls were old enough and we could trust them, they never overstepped the marks, so to speak." He clarified.

It was true, as when Pandora and Kemeko were growing up and showing some independence, he had marked the trees and areas with coloured tape so that they knew not to go beyond them, and the girls had stuck to the rules, (Although Pandora had tested the waters a few times, but soon realised the consequences if she didn't listen and always made sure she stayed within the boundaries).

The turtles, lizard and rat looked at each other and they soon nodded in agreement.

"Alright Pandora." Monalisa smiled "You can go for a walk, or exploring, but as Casey and April said stay within the boundaries, and away from the neighbouring farms!"

"Scouts honour!" Pandora said, "I promise!"

"You better!" Raphael wagged his finger at his daughter.

"I will!" Pandora insisted "Is this the face of a Hybrid who would lie to you?" she batted her eyelashes and smiled sweetly.

Michelangelo laughed.

"Awww, so cute!" he said stroking Pandora's cheek affectionally and Raphael rolled his eyes.

In fact, everyone started tittering as they watched.

"I'll go too!" Kemeko said "I fancy a walk in the woods too!"

"You got my blessing to go Lotus." Leonardo said stroking Kemeko's hair "Maybe you can keep an eye on your cousin!" he whispered to which Kemeko nodded with a giggle.

"Okay then." April said, "You girls enjoy your little woodland adventure, but make sure you're back by one thirty, as lunch will be ready then!"

"Got it!" Pandora agreed as she checked her watch and Kemeko did the same.

"Have fun girls!" Casey cheered as Pandora and Kemeko walked off the porch and headed into the woodland area.

"Race you to that tree!" Pandora shouted then took off running before Kemeko was ready.

"Hey! Wait up!" Kemeko called "I wasn't ready!"

The mutants and April and Casey watched the girls run into the woods and Splinter shook his head chuckling.

"They're just like you two Raphael, Leonardo." He said, "They remind me of when you were just children, playing chase and Follow the Leader."

The two father turtles looked at their sensei in bewilderment then at each other and they couldn't help but agree.

"Yep!" Raphael nodded "Sensei is right!"

"It is like watching ourselves again." Leonardo commented and took another sip of lemonade watching where the girls had vanished into the trees, yet he could still hear them laughing and calling to each other.

And that's the first chapter! The girls are off exploring in the woods! And as Splinter clarified, they are like Leo and Raph when they were kids! lol!

Stay tuned for the next chapter!
