Chapter Nine
That night, Pandora slept in her room with Kemeko.
After leaving Jade in the barn for the night, Pandora along with Michelangelo and Kemeko had returned to the farmhouse, and they gave the same story that they had been out on an evening walk.
After what Pandora had been told by Michelangelo and Kemeko about how Monalisa and Raphael had been suspicious, she decided to try and act natural, and luckily her parents didn't question her, but they simply said it was nearing her and Kemeko's bedtime and they needed to get ready to settle.
Pandora was more than happy to oblige, and she was relieved her parents didn't confront her.
Pandora rolled over and snuggled under her duvet, yet her peaceful sleep didn't last long as a loud barking reached her ears.
Opening her eyes, the young hybrid yawned, and she saw through a gap in the curtains that the sky was still dark, yet she saw it wouldn't be long till dawn.
She turned to look at the digital clock on the bedside table and saw it was three in the morning.
Blinking her eyes and letting herself wake up fully she sat up in bed and she heard the barking again.
"Mitch!" she thought "Old man Hatchet must be doing a morning walk with him." She then thought of Jade in the barn and quickly began to pull her clothes on, deciding to check on her secret pet.
As she did that, she looked across to Kemeko who was laying on her back, one arm flung over her head and some of her hair in her face.
She was a heavy sleeper, just as nothing could stop her from losing focus in meditation as when she did, she made sure she was well deep in it.
After getting dressed and tying her hair up, she grabbed her boots and meteor hammer before stealthily going down the stairs and to the front door.
Luckily her movements didn't stir the rest of the farmhouse and once she was outside, she pulled on her boots and went to the barn.
Yet, as she went towards the barn, the young hybrid failed to notice that Mitch who had been sniffing around the area from his residence saw Pandora and curious to see her, the dog decided to trot after her.
Pandora entered the barn and she saw Jade sitting in the stable area wide awake.
"Jade!" she called over "You okay girl? That barking didn't scare you, did it?"
Jade only grunted in reply.
"That's okay then!" Pandora smiled "Well, it's early in the morning, everyone else is still asleep, so we can have a bit of time together hmm?"
Jade leaned over and nuzzled Pandora as the young hybrid stepped into the stable.
Pandora laughed as she felt Jade's fur tickle her.
"Aww I knew you'd agree!"
She wrapped her arms around Jade's head and nuzzled her back.
As she cuddled Jade, Pandora's ninja senses began to pick up some movement, and she let go of Jade to look behind her, only to see Mitch trotting in through the open door.
"Oh Crap!" the young hybrid thought in horror seeing the dog come in.
She stood in front of Jade as the dog came over to the stables sniffing the air and looking around.
No sooner did Mitch come over to the stable than he looked up at Pandora and stood there bewildered for a few seconds and Pandora froze on the stop standing in front of Jade.
"Go away!" Pandora hissed "Bad Dog! Go away!"
The Dog stared at Pandora for a few seconds, then growled and began barking madly.
Pandora jumped back in fright, as did Jade who roared and reared up in fear!
"Oh Shell!" Pandora gasped as she looked at Jade.
"Jade! Jade! Calm down!"
"Hey! What's going on in there!?"
"Oh shit!" Pandora cursed as she heard the voice of Old Man Hatchet as Mitch continued to bark.
"Mitch? Where are you, Mitch? Get out of there!"
Pandora went pale as she saw someone enter the barn through the open door and she saw Old Man Hatchet run in.
"No! Oh, Shell no!" Pandora panicked then looked around trying to find another way out.
"Mitch! Get out here! You shouldn't be in here, you…"
Old Man Hatchet had entered the barn and found his dog yet as he did, he soon saw Pandora standing there with Jade frozen on the spot and his jaw dropped in shock seeing the green scaly hybrid as well as the green furry creature behind her.
Pandora in turn looked back at Hatchet and gulped, Hatchet had seen her, and the words of her parents and Uncles came to her again from when she was a young child, 'Don't let the Humans see you!'.
"Uhhhh….Hi?" Pandora spoke awkwardly.
Hatchet shouted in horror and thus caused Pandora to scream in fear.
"Alien!" Hatchet shouted "Monsters!"
At the same time, Mitch barked louder and more aggressively.
Jade reared up and roared again in terror and Pandora almost fell over in shock, yet she reached for her meteor hammer and gripped the chain.
At the same time, Hatchet pulled something off his back and Pandora's eyes widened in horror when she saw it was a gun!
"Stand right there, Alien!" Hatchet bellowed "Stand still or I'll blast you to kingdom come!"
As the old man spoke those words, Pandora felt something inside her snap, and she gripped her meteor hammer and glared.
No-one and no-one threatened her nor her friend, and she wasn't going to let Hatchet hurt Jade.
"Don't you fucking dare!" Pandora snarled as she stood up and held up her weapon "I'll pulverise you if you touch Jade!"
Hatchet gasped again.
"It talked?!" he cried.
"Yeah! I can talk Sherlock!" Pandora hissed as she held up her weapon then began to swing it.
"Stay behind me Jade!" Pandora cried as she swung her weapon in front of her, all the while Hatchet pointed his gun at her and Jade whilst Mitch continued to bark madly.
Hatchet glared as he stepped back a bit to avoid Pandora's weapon and he placed his hand on the trigger.
Pandora saw him do so and seeing her chance she threw her meteor hammer towards him and caught the barrel of the gun before wrenching it out of his hands and pulling it away and causing Mitch to fall on his front knocking the wind out of him!
Yet no sooner did she do so than the gun suddenly went off with a loud bang which frightened all the occupants within the barn!
Jade roared again then jumped over the wall of the stable and started to run to the entrance!
"Jade!" Pandora screamed as she pulled her weapon away and tried to run after Jade, yet as she did, Mitch ran over growling, and he sprang at Pandora sinking his fangs into her ankle!
Pandora screamed in pain and looked down at Mitch.
"Get off me, you stupid dog!" she shouted as she tried to kick her ankle free despite the pain she felt!
Mitch snarled more and continued to bite down on her ankle and Pandora continued to try and get free.
Jade, as she was running to the door, she saw the trouble her friend was in and turned around to get to the Hybrid who had looked after her for all those days.
She growled as she saw the dog chewing on Pandora's leg then bounded over before glaring then roaring in anger at the dog who instantly let go and jumped back cowering in fear at the much larger and intimating animal!
Pandora gasped and pulled her leg close to her trying to get a look at where Mitch had got her and she saw the dog had sank it's powerful jaws through her jeans and there was blood staining the black denim!
The hybrid struggled to stand up and she looked up as Jade reached down and lowered her head to help her.
Jade placed her arm over Jade's neck then the Green Man cub pulled her up.
"Thanks Jade!" Pandora sniffled wincing as the pain spasmed in her ankle.
"What the devil is going on out here!?"
Pandora gasped as she heard the voice of Casey and realised the noises must have woken the whole farmhouse!
"Oh, shit no!" she thought then looked back at Hatchet who was getting to his feet having recovered from being pulled over after Pandora had wrenched his gun away from him.
Mitch looked at Jade and Pandora then started growling again.
'What was that sound!?" a female voice was heard, and Pandora recognised it as April's.
Pandora looked at Hatchet then at the entrance of the barn then at Jade who lowered herself down and without thinking about what she was doing, she climbed onto Jade's back.
No sooner did she do that, than Jade took off towards the entrance of the barn and galloped off!
Pandora closed her eyes and gripped Jade's fur as well as held on with her knees as the Green Man cub raced towards the woods!
At the same time, April and Casey had been awoken by the ruckus in the barn and had come to investigate.
"What the Devil is going on out here?" Casey cried.
"What was that sound!?" April asked.
Behind them, Leonardo and Donatello who had been sleeping in the spare rooms downstairs also were awoken by the noises and came to investigate.
"Was that a gun?!" Leonardo asked.
"And a dog?!" Donatello questioned.
"Stay inside you two!" April ordered looking back at the two turtles then turned to the front with Casey only to see Jade running out of the entrance of the barn with Pandora riding on top of her!
"What the hell!?" Casey cried.
"Pandora!?" April shouted.
Both humans watched in horrified fascination as they saw Jade and Pandora run into the woods and disappear into the trees.
Leonardo and Donatello stared at each other and looked at April and Casey.
"What's going on?" Leonardo demanded.
Casey blinked then he gasped as he saw Hatchet and Mitch run out of the barn!
"Alien! Monster!" Hatchet shouted, "Get back here!"
"Oh Boy!" Casey cried then turned to April.
"April, stay and keep the guys inside, I'll deal with Hatchet!"
April nodded then turned to Leonardo and Donatello.
"Stay inside! Hatchet's outside!" she barked to which Donatello and Leonardo hastily moved further into the centre of the room and April instantly ran in, shut the door, and closed the curtains.
"What the shell's going on April!?" Donatello demanded.
April looked to the door in worry then she paled as she saw Raphael, Monalisa run down the stairs, and Splinter, Michelangelo and Kemeko appear behind them.
"What the shell's going on?!" Raphael asked.
"What's the big hullaballo?" Monalisa cried.
"What in the name of Meditation?!" Splinter questioned.
April gulped as she looked at everyone and realised this was going to take a lot of explaining…...
Uh oh! Looks like the secret is well and truly out!
Old Man Hatchet has discovered Pandora and Jade! Mitch has bitten Pandora and now the whole Farmhouse has been roused!
Yet Jade and Pandora have taken off into the woods! How will things go from here? Well, keep tuning in to find out!
