Chapter Eleven
Back in the woods, Pandora sat on the grass as Jade sniffed the air.
"Why are we here?" Pandora asked, "Why did you bring me to this part of the woods?" she looked back towards the river which she could see through the trees then back at Jade who continued to sniff.
She tried to stand up, yet her leg felt painful to stand on.
"Damn!" she thought to herself, "Not only am I far from home, but that stupid dog really injured me! I can't walk on my leg! I'm really fucked!"
She looked back at Jade at the Green Man cub stopped and looked alert as if she realised something then began to trot away.
"Hey!" Pandora cried as she stood on her good leg and started to hop.
"Wait! Jade!" she tried to run after the Green Man cub, but she stumbled as her leg spasmed, and she fell over.
"Jade!" she called as she landed on her front "Please! Don't leave me!"
As she called after Jade, the cub stopped then turned around back towards Pandora and she saw due to her injury, Pandora was unable to follow her on her own.
She lowered her head and Pandora placed her arm over her neck then the Cub lifted her head pulling the hybrid up then Pandora climbed onto her back like before.
Waiting until Pandora was safe on her back, Jade began to walk ahead, her nose high as she sniffled the air then began to walk more quickly.
"You smell something?" Pandora asked as she looked ahead, and they walked further and further into the woods.
Before long they made it to a small clearing and Pandora's eyes widened and her jaw dropped.
There in the middle of the clearing was a herd of Green Men! There were two very large ones, almost twice the size of Jade, and three other cubs!
"No way!" the hybrid thought then looked at Jade who looked at them then gave a howl towards them.
As she did that, the other Green Men looked up and saw her then they howled back!
Jade then reared up almost throwing Pandora off as she did, yet the Hybrid held on tight and Jade galloped over to them!
"Whoa!" Pandora cried as she held onto Jade's fur as the cub ran down and at once Jade began nuzzling the other Green Men cubs as well as the two larger ones and they made loud grunts and purrs as they welcomed her!
"Oh my gosh!" Pandora cried as she looked at all the other Green Man members "It's your family! You found your family!" she patted Jade's back proudly "Well done girl! You found your family!"
As she spoke, the other members looked up and saw Pandora, they looked rather bewildered at her appearance then one of the larger Green Men looked at Jade and began grunting at her.
Pandora slid off Jade's back, yet she gave a yelp as her wounded leg spasmed as she landed on the ground.
As she did so, the others came up and began to sniff her curiously then they saw her wounded leg and one of the other cubs began to nuzzle it.
Pandora sat frozen on the spot as she let the cubs sniff around her and soon the grown-ups came to examine her.
"Hi!" Pandora said softly at them "You must be Jade's mama and daddy!"
One the grown Green Men snorted and then leaned towards Pandora before licking her face.
Pandora giggled.
"Is that your way of saying thank you?" she asked with a smile "Thank you for looking after Jade when she was lost?"
The Grown Green Man cocked its head on one side then licked her again and the other one followed the same gesture.
Pandora laughed again.
"I'll take that as a yes!" she chuckled then she felt Jade and the other cubs start to nuzzle and sniff her more.
"I guess they like me!" she thought then she felt Jade settle behind her giving her back support and one of the other cubs lay down placing its head in her lap whilst the other two cubs began to nuzzle and lick her face making her laugh more and she felt a light glow within, feeling very special to be surrounding by such magnificent animals who seemed to trust and show tenderness to her.
Meanwhile the turtles, Monalisa, Kemeko and Splinter had grabbed their weapons and were running into the woods to look for Pandora and Jade followed by April and Casey.
After they had gathered their weapons and gotten dressed, Leonardo demanded an explanation from Kemeko and Michelangelo about Jade and Pandora.
Both feeling scared as well as regretting they didn't tell everyone else beforehand, Michelangelo and Kemeko told the whole story.
"The Green Man!?" Donatello had exclaimed "From those years back? The ones Dr Abigail Finn was searching for?!"
Monalisa glowered as she remembered Dr Finn and how she had attempted to kidnap Pandora and Michelangelo, yet they had stopped her.
"A Green Man cub? And You and Pandora took her in!?" Raphael had shouted, "And hid her in the barn!?"
"No wonder there was a big change in Pandora's behaviour!" Donatello had said.
"Oh Pandora!" Monalisa had groaned placing her head in her hands "Pandora!"
"We'd been trying to look for Jade's family, but we'd been unsuccessful!" Kemeko had blurted "I kept telling her it was a bad idea to keep Jade!"
"At least you tried to be wise about it!" Leonardo had said "But that doesn't excuse the fact you didn't come to us about this!"
Raphael had glared at Michelangelo.
"You!" he had barked "I thought you had matured enough! Yet you're still like the children! Immature and leading them astray!"
"Hey!" Michelangelo had argued "That was uncalled for!"
"Raphael! Michelangelo!" Splinter had scolded "That is enough! It is unimportant to point the finger right now! The priority is finding Pandora and Jade and bringing our Little Geisha home!"
"You're right Master!" Monalisa had said "We must find Pandora! And Fast before Hatchet and his dog do!"
Everyone agreed and as soon as they were ready, they headed out.
As they ran through the woods, Splinter, using his sensitive nose to find Pandora's scent lead the way.
"Remember! Stay out of sight!" Leonardo reminded everyone "I know during the daylight hours it's almost impossible, but we must do what we can!"
"Anything to get Pandora back!" Michelangelo agreed.
"Oh, I hope she's okay!" Kemeko cried.
The young Asian girl was clutching at straws as she thought of her cousin and Jade, and she wished that she had told the other adults of Jade earlier and maybe they wouldn't be in this situation.
She tried to tell herself that Pandora was a strong girl, but she couldn't help but feel worried, she loved her cousin, honoured sister so much and didn't want to lose her.
"Oh, if only I had told Pandora straight no! I knew this would happen! Oh Pandora! Why did you have to be so stubborn! And why wasn't I firmer with her!?"
Meanwhile a few miles ahead, Hatchet and Mitch were following Pandora and Jade's scent and they soon arrived at the river and Mitch stood at the bank and howled.
"Atta boy Mitchy!" Hatchet praised, he looked towards the river then to the other side.
"They must have jumped into the river and swam to the other side I have no doubt!" he mused.
He looked at Mitch and patted his head.
"No doubt about it!" he said "We'll have to get to the other side to find them! And I know how!"
He smirked as he looked towards the other side of the river and patted his gun.
"You can run aliens, monsters, whatever you are! But you can't hide! I will find you!"
He whistled to Mitch and gestured for the dog to follow him, and they began to walk down the river.
A little while later, the mutants, April and Casey arrived at the exact same spot where Hatchet and Mitch had been before.
Splinter sniffed the air and he paled as he saw the river and the strong current.
"Oh no!" he thought fearing the worst "No! My granddaughter!"
He looked behind him as the turtles, Monalisa, Kemeko, April and Casey ran up.
"Master?" Leonardo asked then he saw the rat's expression then saw the river.
"Oh no!" he thought as he began to fear the worst had happened.
Raphael and Monalisa gasped and raced to the river and looked around.
"Oh shit…" Raphael breathed as terror ran through him "No…Oh by the Gods! No!"
Monalisa was silent for a moment before she dropped to her knees as the worst thoughts came to her about her daughter's fate.
Michelangelo and Donatello also went pale, and Michelangelo bit his knuckles in terror and Kemeko felt tears come to her eyes.
"Oh, my cousin….my sister!"
A shriek from Monalisa made everyone jump slightly and Raphael dropped beside his wife and pulled her close despite the grief he felt.
"My Baby! My Baby!" Monalisa screamed "Pandora!"
"NO!" Michelangelo screamed into the air as he too feared the worst "My Little Geisha! This is all my fault!"
"Mikey?" Donatello spoke despite he too feeling grief, but Michelangelo punched the ground as he fell on his knees.
"I should have told you! I should have told you everything! This wouldn't have happened. What kind of Uncle am I!?" Michelangelo wailed "I failed my Little Geisha!"
"Mikey…" Donatello fell beside him and tried to comfort his younger brother, wrapping his arms around him.
April also gasped in fear and she turned to Casey and buried her head in his chest wailing, and Casey held his wife close, his own tears coming to his eyes.
Kemeko meanwhile brought her hands to her face and sobbed.
"I'm so sorry!" she wept "I'm so sorry!"
Splinter swallowed hard, as much as he was heartbroken on what I believed had happened to Pandora, he needed to keep it together for his children and Kemeko, yet as he was about to say something, his nose picked up the scent again and he sniffed the wind.
"Wait a moment…."
So Pandora and Jade have reunited with Jade's Family! And they seem to accept Pandora! So cute!
Yet Hatchet and Mitch are on their trail! Also, The turtles, Monalisa, Kemeko, Splinter, April and Casey have arrived and they fear the worst!
It's every parent's nightmare that they think they've lost their precious child!
Yet, Splinter has picked up their scent again! All is not lost!
