Chapter 12: Hollow Earth

The machine was in free fall, thrown sideways down, slowly spinning, it felt ten times worse any roller coaster, but for Madison this was almost nothing new. She still had her eyes closed, light had blinded her, but how was that possible, cautiously she opened her eyes again, at first she only saw frantic movements from the cockpit, but in front of them was clearly a landscape, with vegetation and mountains, but when she turned "up", it was still there.

Beside her, Mark and Ilene seemed other than composed, clinging to their seats, Ilene biting her lips, and Mark just had his eyes closed and seemed to be praying. Dr. Lind and the co-pilot seemed much more composed, communicating with quick and clear instructions to the other HEAVs, pushing buttons and flipping switches, the co-pilot paying attention to the radar and coordinating the moment when they would slow down, because behind them there seemed to be some kind of mountain, wall or cliff going vertically down from the edge of the entrance, like some kind of ladder or vertical slide.

Only a little further down Godzilla slid down it, he clawed into the wall to slow down, the claws pulled long furrows in the rock and broke off parts of it, with his body he pulled all sorts of vegetation and debris with him. Many pelted down on him again, it bothered him, but did not hurt much, his skin on his hands was slightly scraped, but it was very thick, covered with scales. Much more his muscles and joints hurt, as he tried to stop his own weight, he moaned loudly, as far as Madison could hear.

Immediately she sprang to the window in her seat, the belt buckled tightly against her, but it almost felt as if she could pry it loose.

Lind then shouted to them, "Everybody hold on." He pulled the wheel back and stabilized the HEAV with the cockpit pointed down and braked, the other HEAVs did likewise un positioned themselves with him in a triangular formation and picked up speed.

Finally Madison could see Godzilla and she got nervous, she saw him slithering down there struggling to slow down, but then part of the floor he was clinging to with his hands broke off and he fell backwards to the floor.

It was just like back in Boston where Ghidorah flew him from high in the sky, shreds of those memories flickering back and forth in front of Madison, her breath stopped for a moment.

She saw how the dragon grabbed his neck with its claws, how the two tails wrapped around his neck and almost squeezed the air out of him, he lost strength, gasped for air, howled, he never looked so weak as now, just as she was only a few moments before. She saw him being pulled up into the clouds it became eerily silent for a moment, only the howling of wind, the pattering of rain and the crackling of fire could be heard, the monsters had gone quiet.
Then a thunder erupted from the sky, it was Godzilla calling, he howled, the clouds broke and down from above came a great ball of fire, coming down faster and faster. Distantly Madison's eyes followed it until it hit the ground back first, a small explosion was below, she glowed blue and a shock wave hit her, almost taking her off her feet.

In her mind she wanted to reach out her hand, she wanted to shout something, but then it was already too late and he slammed his back on the ground, throwing a lot of dust and soil, but also vegetation and debris into the air, causing a large brown dust cloud to shoot upwards, immediately Lind reacted and pulled the machine straight up, that they would not fly into it and get hit by something. The automatic controls were engaged and settled at a height seen from the ground, this made it easier for Dr. Lind the control as they flew over the dust cloud, then he heard a beep and a red indicator at his display, that someone was no longer strapped in, he wanted to say something, but could not turn around but had to devote his gaze outside, but then Madison came to him already forward and stood between him and the copilot and nervously looked for Godzilla, she thought she could see more than on her seat, even if that was not really true, rather it was a kind of insurance for her.

"Madison you better sit down-
" "Not while I know he's okay." Snapped back, there were no ifs or buts, she needed to know, but there wasn't much to tell. "Miss sit back down please-" "Let it James, she can stay," Lind said to the copilot, who was actually right, because that was regulation, but Lind was a little looser about some things. "Just hold on up there." He showed Madison a handle that was up. "Thank you," she replied softly, continuing to watch for Godzilla.

Mark was beginning to think that the mission had failed, but then he thought how stupid that thought was, he was alive he was sure. He turned to Ilene, "Hey, are you getting any readings from him?" "Let me see..." On the display Ilene found the bioacoustic readings were not there, which was a given at this depth, but the readings from a radiation source were still there. "He should still be here...possibly injured and not coming up." She whispered to him, he could only rub his face and sigh. "That's all we need."

"I see something on the radar." Said the co-pilot, Ilene and Mark turned their eyes back outside.

A loud groan was heard, as if an avalanche of rock was coming down, then a large figure rose out of the dust cloud. Mark couldn't see it, but Madison was positively beaming with relief. Godzilla stood up, snorted in annoyance and shook himself, moving his tail to the side a few times to disperse the cloud. He wasn't hurt, the fall hadn't been that deep.

He took a deep breath through his nose, the smells he felt were all so new but also familiar, it must have been millennia since he was last here, his old burrow that was recently destroyed was not connected to the rest of the Hollow Earth, it was only a small section, the only thing that came close to this environment was Skull Island, but that was only a small island, with an area of many different environments, some of which he had only seen when he was very young, when he was still part of a tribe. Distant memories of tastes, smells and feelings came to him, it was home for. He leaned his head up and roared out, showing that he was the king, but he had not been here that long, who knew if the creatures here would look at him that way, especially how long his kind had been absent from here, now that he was the last of his kind.
But it didn't bother him so much anymore, because his partner was there for him, he looked next to him, the HEAV had come to eye level with him, Madison was on you at the window and pressed her hand against it very firmly.
Godzilla growled contentedly when he saw her and gave a short loud, those calls he had heard up on the surface had become even stronger, he wanted, no, had to follow them and Madison knew it, she could feel it clearly now too. "Follow him, he will lead us where we need to go." Dr. Lind nodded, and complied with her request, following Godzilla as he moved along. This one was focused like a bloodhound on a target and would not deviate, but it might take a bit, Mark just hoped it wouldn't be too late.

While they followed him, Ilene documented the surroundings with the help of the other HEAVs, a dense rainforest seemed to stretch out below them in a very hilly environment, the flora and even fauna showed clear similarities to Skull Island, Leafwings flew through the area as Godzilla's vibrations scared them away, but they seemed to be differently colored and slightly larger than the Skull Island variants.

She tried to get images from the ground, and instructed the HEAVs' cameras to point downward.

The jungle was very dense, but now and then there were clearings and some creatures Dr. Chen could document. Very bizarre especially, mainly it seemed to be reptiles, including some that were very similar to dinosaurs, most likely the most it was also, survivors of the mass extinction 66 million years ago, which had now evolved, even to titans like Gorosaurus.

Among them however were dinosaurs of more regular size, Ilene snapped a GOOD picture of two large ones fighting, a large theropod, similar to a with pink skin but black and white plumage on the back and belly area, grabbing a sort of oversized iguana with a distended stomach and hair like protrusions going from the neck to the back by the neck and throwing it to the ground, the fight seemed to go victoriously for the theropod.

A little further, closer to Godzilla was an even larger clearing, a large meadow stretched out there.

Three different species were predominantly recognizable: for now, a sauropod species, larger than any previously documented finds in fossils, but still tiny compared to the titan king, many similarities it had with the sauropod Argentinosaurus as Chen compared it to archives on the fly, but these had clear spines going down the back, seemed to be some sort of keratin armor for defense.

The second most common species was something very similar to
a hadrosaurus or duckbill dinosaur, but much more similar to earlier representations, as it seemed to move very upright, but also on four legs, the body was quite simple in color, but some individuals had more striking patterns on the beak, probably these were the males. Lastly, there were some specimens of a Stegosaurus-like dinosaur that was impressively armored with a sudden hide, tall dorsal plates, abdominal and tail spikes, a dark blue on the back and a light underside, a method that made it harder to be detected by predators.

Among them flit smaller animals running on two legs, possibly ornithopods, showed great similarities with the Hypsilophodon, greenish colored which is why they were very difficult to recognize.

For Mark, as a scientist, the whole thing was a sensation, if they could study the animals here more in the future, then this could give extreme leaps in areas such as biology, ecology and paleontology especially, it would answer many questions on the past of the earth. Already he could see patterns in how the herds were structured and draw conclusions about how life was here.

"Are you taking pictures of it?" "Of course, what do you think?" "I was just going to ask, as soon as we get through all this, I want to take a look." "You're in a good mood all of a sudden." Noted Ilene, Mark shrugged. "I've been studying animals my whole life, this one awakens a little bit of the boy adventure in me." "And yet you get facts about wolf packs wrong." Mark could formally feel the smirk on her face, but it didn't bother him. "I didn't know how to explain it better to the Admiral, besides, it was you who suggested it." "Oh I did." Mark had to hold back his grin as Ilene shot more shots.

Madison, meanwhile, also had time to look at everything, but much less of a scientific field, like everything wild and pure, they attracted her in a way as deep and strong as almost nothing else. The sight was breathtaking, in a beautiful way Madison had never really known. Mountains and volcanoes dominated the landscape, especially to the right of her, on the left side it was flatter, clearings formed more and there also seemed to form lakes now and then, because she could see light reflections in the distance.

The source of the light was also interesting, she looked up, having to put her hand over her eyes sometimes to see it properly. There seemed to be rock formations or crystals up there that were emitting light, but they didn't seem to be the main source, from the right there was a very bright source of light, and even though she had a hard time making it out because it was not unlike staring into the sun, that was probably a very large and more intense cluster of crystals.

Probably these large clusters were distributed over the whole hollow earth and thus gave light, which had to be the basis of a whole ecosystem. Possibly there were zones where the rays did not reach, which would mean a permanent darkness, who knew what all lived there, possibly creatures like Skull Crawler or even more bizarre.

In fact, she was surprised not to have seen any of them yet, maybe this region just didn't have any, wouldn't be unlikely to assume the different biomes existed, with different flora and fauna.

Madison stared up at the ceiling, but it was high enough to allow light clouds to form. Today the weather seemed very light, but the clouds showed that a weather system existed where water evaporated and then came back down as rain.

It was hard to believe that this undiscovered ecosystem had been under her feet all this time. As Madison continued to admire the surroundings, she noticed movement in the sky, something was flying, something big.

It was a little harder to see through the clouds, but then it came out, it was very far up, but Madison could make out a huge bird. Dark brown feathered with very long and wide wings, like a condor. It had to have a wingspan of almost 50 meters. It worried Madison a little, so she focused a lot on the bird, to Godzilla it was no threat, but to the HEAVs it clearly was.

It seemed to follow them but kept its distance, definitely following Godzilla and them. However, something Madison noted was that the creatures head was completely bald, like a normal condor or vulture. To some, that might not want to mean anything, but that usually indicated that the creature was a scavenger. Birds like vultures stick their heads directly into the carcass of dead animals and because this would make possible feathers dirty and hard to clean, they have no feathers on their heads. Doesn't mean they were out of danger, a HEAV was still possibly interesting and for Madison the whole thing was just an assumption, she hoped she was right and that surely the giant condor was following her and Godzilla to pick up possible remains.

Now that she had calmed down a bit and took a deep breath, she observed the surroundings again, on top of the ceiling were sometimes next to the candlesticks some vegetation, mainly from low-growing plants or some that simply hung down. Between them flew around smaller creatures that were difficult to recognize, greenish, yellowish in color, more dragon-like in appearance.

She turned her attention back down below when she heard something on the radio, she could see a titan in the distance, it was another Gorosaurus, but it was more bluish in color compared to the greener specimen at Skull Island. There Madison also saw the first Skull Crawler, clutched between the giant's fangs at the back of its neck.

It had a natural reddish coloring on the back that was not blood and was quite large, not as large as the Skullcrawler Queen, this one also had distinctly different characteristics that Godzilla had fought on Skull Island, but still a considerable size, larger than Ramarak, a type of Megaskullcrawler.

Again, Madison tried to apply her knowledge, at least to herself, for fun, to explain things for herself, though there was no clear answer.

"The color could mean an age range on both of them...no, this Goro is almost the same size as the female, maybe this is a male. Hey, maybe this is her mate," she joked, but titans were so rare and widely scattered, it could well be,

"The Skullcrawler could be a male. I always thought they didn't have anything like that, who knows, maybe the species is formed differently under Skull Island and this is a subspecies that's bigger, that happens a lot."

Maddie liked to theorize like this, even if she didn't necessarily know all the terms and didn't work very scientifically, she had a clue about it, but by no means did she know any experts. Didn't bother her either, she wasn't working for someone like Monarch, well, didn't she want to at some point?

Deep in her thoughts between observing what lay ahead and the future, another radio came in that drew her attention to something else she hadn't noticed before. The HEAVs slowed down because they had arrived at a new zone: an ancient forest.

A forest with trees more than twice as tall as Godzilla, even massive redwoods would stand in their shadows and look tiny to them. The forest stretched far enough out over the horizon.

Madison pricked herself that she wasn't dreaming, because before she was so engrossed again that she had managed not to see the forest from a distance.
"Even here I'm thinking too much, what's wrong with me." But her annoyance with herself was only mild and immediately passed when she heard again something over the radio that sounded important.

"Sir the target has stopped and stopped short of the forest, he doesn't seem to be moving." "Roger that." Said Lind, turning to Madison. "I think we should get closer again, you do your thing." "Sure," Maddie nodded to him, stood up and continued forward to the window again.

The HEAV flew very gently and carefully at eye level with Godzilla.

He had a fixed gaze on the forest and puffed loudly, his arms still hurt him a bit what unsettled him a bit, he could feel that danger lurked in there, his instincts told him not to go in. Here and there came screaming and yelling from the forest, animals fighting for teeth and claws to survive in this ecosystem. He was part of the ecosystem, the whole ecosystem. But even if he was at the top, it didn't mean he could be careless, that's why he was careful, any wrong decision could mean being thrown off the top.

Kong had almost cost him, but Kong had not taken the chance to take his place. Madison might have had an idea why Kong was acting this way, he didn't, he didn't know about Apex and Belvera and all that behind him. All he knew was that the calls of his old rival came from Kong and he had taken on Kong's powers, powers that were against the natural order and he had to be stopped.

Kong and Godzilla species never had a real rivalry, sure there were individuals from time to time who opposed Godzilla and his fellow species, be it for territory or resources, but since both their species became rarer and rarer, they left each other alone, Kong only wanted to be on his island and protect it, where he was also very good at, a reason why Godzilla was never really there until recently.

But King Ghidorah's reawakening had created a chain reaction that would probably continue for a long time.

At least he had some backup with his partner. When he got that machine back to eye level with him, he saw her hand press on the glass. He gave a slight growl and communicated with her again to make it clear that it was dangerous, he knew they had to get through it, he could feel that call stronger and stronger, it was not unlike what he felt when he first saw Madison back then, where she was chosen for the ritual to ascend to her kind.

Madison understood and passed it on to Lind. "We should be very careful. In that forest, something big can hide behind any tree. It can protect us, but not from all sides." Lind sighed, he liked not hearing that. "Let me guess, flying all around takes too long? And over the top?" "Then we're back so close to the ceiling where critters are also flying around and out of reach for him." Lind didn't seem quite sure, in his own way, but in their situation they were practically forced to, he picked up the radio and piloted the other HEAVs "H1, H2, escort the target in single file behind, we'll fly last." Short whoosh, then the pilot's reply. "Mind Dr. Lind, move us into formation." Lind turned to Madison for a moment more and nodded her thanks, she accepted it and sat back in her seat.

Mark, in turn, asked Lind: "Are sure that this formation is safe, we give there a good attack surface." Lind concentrated on steering, but was able to answer in passing. "I thought so too but I see it as the best options, anything coming from the front the big one can take care of, if something comes from behind we can overtake it, if we split into triangle or spread something could grab two of us at once," Godzilla stepped into the forest, bending small trees under him, they groaned very loudly, "like now we can minimize the losses and react faster. I sat down last since I'm the one in charge." "I don't know if I like it," Ilene said, looking over at Madison, "but I have faith in our protectors."

Protector. It sounded a little strange to Madison, but it wasn't wrong, she felt good, even smiled, which is what Ilene wanted to achieve, not to gain Madison's trust, no she meant it.

Sure she was a little scared, everyone here was somehow, but Serizawa, her friend and mentor, had put his trust in Godzilla and Godzilla, the king of monsters, trusted Madison. It gave Ilene some support in this, admittedly very strange and bizarre situation.

The group followed Godzilla into the forest, the huge trees were far enough apart in a certain line, just a little way in it could be seen that it was a trail where many creatures the size of a Titan made their way through.
For a good while, however,
there was no trace of other Titans, which made everyone a little calmer.

The bottom of the forest had a lot of open space, however, some different plants grew, from smaller version of the huge trees, which formed a, at least for a human, normal sized forest, full of undergrowth, mainly formed from ferns and other primeval thickets. It was as untouched as one could ever imagine.

In between, just as before in the Skull Island-like forests, a variety of creatures existed, but they knew how to hide.
From below, two smaller theropods, similar in appearance to Mesozoic raptors, feathered dinosaurs with sickle claws on their feet, but large enough to look a human in the eye,
watched the passing Titans. For them it was normal, often they passed through here, but this also meant that a variety of forest animals flushed out, on which they could easily prey.

However, they had to be careful not to become prey themselves, because on the other side of Godzilla walked a very large predator, as large as a but more related to crocodiles, a much older species from the Triassic period, it had brownish coloring with red spots and a light underbelly and walked on four legs. Here in the undergrowth of the giant forest, this species was able to compete with the large theropods of the plains and rainforests, and it had already found a prey: close relatives of the extinct Triceratops.

This species had also had a small population on Skull Island which is now extinct, these were not very dissimilar to their ancestors, just a little more robustly built. They moved back and forth between the giant forests and plains, always in search of food and shelter, the latter was in great demand where Godzilla passed them, that could attract predators.

The four-legged armored lizard tried to find a member from the small group, but they seemed to be too excited and therefore always alert, though not only because of the new titan. The quadruped also soon sensed a new scent in his nose and decided to go deeper into the undergrowth again and wait for a better moment.

Up in the cockpit of the HEAV, no one noticed what was going on in the undergrowth below, it was too dense to see anything clearly.

However, Madison noticed something else. As they flew past a tree, part of it was shrouded, a large nest had been built in it, and the owners were looking at them suspiciously. Two reptiles, very similar in appearance to classic descriptions of dragons, at 15 meters long and 4 meters high walked on two legs with a long tail where there was a kind of club with spikes, also on the chin was such a spike. One was a relatively pale green, the other a strong orange with stripes, a female and a male, the male stood guard with spread wings over the female, which was breeding in her nest.

They probably didn't want to attack and risk attracting the attention of Godzilla especially since they have never seen anything like the HEAVs before, they were just protecting their nest, better to leave them alone. As the group moved away the pair calmed down again and went deeper into their burrow, the male sat down next to female and nuzzled her, despite everything they were still nervous, they could feel that smell as well even though they were at the top of the food chain.

The team had no idea about it. Godzilla himself felt something, however, it was before when entering the forest, unlike the forest dwellers were not used to. It was damp and cool and smelled of rotting plants and earth, however there was a pungent smell, very sour in the air, close to rotting flesh. Then it became quiet, too quiet, only the sound of the wind and distant sounds of animals.

Godzilla slowed down until he stopped completely again, something was near, something big, movement above the trees, he directed his gaze upward and roared loudly to scare away a possible attacker. He looked left and right of him, something was darting around, despite his size.

The HEAVs had stopped behind Godzilla and just then Lind radioed the foremost one. "H1 do you copy?" "Yes Dr. Lind, the target has stopped moving, something has upset him." Not just him. Through Godzilla Madison could feel something, inside she was all upset. She had already unbuckled herself again, she wanted to intervene somehow.

Lind turned back to her at the rear. "Okay girl, looks like we need to get closer again, are you okay?" "Y-yes." Lind nodded and turned back to the front, actually wanting to turn upwards. But a huge creature came from the side and lunged at the center Heav, and a huge explosion occurred that caused it to simply fly away. Two more swooped down on Godzilla from the trees and a fight broke out.

"H1 immediately regroup, weapon system ready!" Bellowed Lind into the radio, hasty and panicked replies came out from the side. Ilene and Mark fell into a bit of a panic, as they did a quick turn he closed his eyes and prayed, Ilene held on to his seat and gripped onto his shoulder. Maddie grabbed onto her seat with her hands so she wouldn't be thrown around, they made a quick turn around the trees, the Second HEAV closed in with them. That's when they could make out the creatures.

Large reptilian serpentine creatures with greenish coloration and two red membranous wings that run over the upper half of the body and are supported by long spines that are an extension of the thorax. Their trunk resembles that of a snake, being long and slender.

There were three, one had bitten into Godzilla's right arm and snaked its tail on a tree and is pulling it away, Godzilla had grabbed the other by the neck and was holding it back as it curled and squeezed its tail around his rib cage and snapped at him with its mouth full of pointy teeth.

The third just spit out what was left of a million-dollar technology

together with their crew. Seemed him nothing very tasty, but it did not really care, instincts said to hunt the rest, it turned its gaze for other HEAVs, Madison's gaze crossed with him. Something stabbed her in the head, a voice that made little sense but made her very angry and one word repeated often "Nozuki" she decides that's what the monsters would be called. That, Nozuki, sped forward, the two Heavs split apart and maneuvered around Godzilla and the Nozukis fighting with him with insane dizziness. He rammed the one that had bitten into his arm against the tree trunk it was holding onto, full of pain it let go and shrieked, a window for Godzilla to grab it.

First he grabbed it around the neck from above, pushed down the wing membrane with it, pulled it higher towards him and bit down on the neck with his powerful jaws, tearing through the wing skin, it would take the possibility to slide.

Meanwhile, the HEAVs scrambled back around the trees and past him, the third Nozuki laying into the one on the right, Madison's and her group. Like an actual snake, it slithered across the ground at lightning speed and leapt upward, narrowly missing it, quickly turning again, rolling over itself like a cobra and now chasing after them.

This is what Madison had been waiting for, it was very bumpy, the vibrations of the machine went up her legs and spread through her whole body. Fear spread briefly, but when she saw Godzilla fighting, a fire rekindled in her, the motivation to fight and burned away any fear.

She clenched her fists and stood up, got up and went to the back.

"Maddie where are you going what the hell?!"

Mark called out to her, he already had a hunch, but he didn't want to, he couldn't let her go, he unbuckled himself, Lind didn't even say anything in response as he was too busy flying.

But when Mark saw Madison, with her eyes lighting up blue again and her Mothra aura forming around her, he felt a certain awe, perhaps he had to let go for the moment to guarantee her safety.

Madison slammed her fist on a red button that lowered the ramp, immediately she felt the wind suck her in, but she held onto the ceiling. Nozuki was right in front of her and staring at her, the glow from her seemed tantalizing, again throwing herself forward and narrowly missing, this is what she had been waiting for, with a running start she jumped out, down onto the passing neck, sliding down sideways and holding tightly to one of the bones the membrane stretched over, between the rest of her body. She felt an extreme force through her entire body as Nozuki came down to the floor, but she held firm.

She dissolved her aura again and concentrated all her energy into her left arm, the same method as she could jump so far, but used as offensive. Madison held out wide reading her fist down like a sledgehammer, immediately Nozuki reared up and roared in pain. An amazing performance, even if there was no visible damage. Their forces had become stronger, they were on the right track.

But now she was hanging with his arm down the back of the monster, which just again

It could feel something moving on its back. Madison had to act quickly, because she wasn't sure she could stop if it tried to pull her down.

shake. Then an idea came to her. Again she hit Nozuki, with a little less force, but strong enough that it leaned forward a little from the pain. A window opened from the attack and Madison slid down the back, slowing herself with her feet and putting all her energy into her right hand so as not to hurt herself holding on. With tremendous speed, she slid off the end of the tail and landed in the undergrowth just as Nozuki was gathering herself and roaring angrily.

Her gaze immediately turned to Godzilla, who was quite busy with the two Nozukis he was fighting, one trying to wrap his head with his membrane and possibly suffocate me with it, even while he still had the other in his mouth. Madison didn't have to think long and ran toward the fight, trying to do something similar to what she had done on Skull Island with the mountains. When she was close enough by her estimation, she catapulted herself off the ground and into the air with a burst of energy. The target was the head of the Snake Titan, with limited movement, she stretched her legs forward in a kicking position and let her aura form from there, it all happened so fast, it was like muscle memory, something familiar, though she had never done it before.

With full force she bumped just before the neck and its membrane, a blue shockwave, formed around her and thus shook the monster from Godzilla, the recoil threw her a bit

backwards, but it just barely held on to Godzilla's shoulder. Godzilla took the opportunity to ram the Nozuki into the nearest tree, severing the trunk in the process, causing the mighty plant to topple, and with a mighty crunch and thunder it landed on the forest floor, tearing a large lock in the canopy.

Godzilla left the Nozuki on the now tree stump, assuming that it was dead. The Nozuki he still had in his mouth, however, snapped wildly around, specifically at Madison, who shines so interestingly for him with her wings, came much too close than she would have liked and told her synchronized partner, scratching his skin and making furrows in it with his front teeth, which only made him angrier. He threw his head forward and back, like a predator who wanted to break the neck of his prey, then he pulled his head back and then forward again, opening his mouth to let go of it and throwing it to the ground with it.

Lying on its back, it had a hard time escaping, especially since its tail grip was still on Godzilla's leg, which in turn immediately slammed its foot down on its opponent's chest. Parts of the body cracked open and greenish blood came out, spilling over the floor, Godzilla lifted his foot and took a step back, then angrily kicked the dead Nozuki to the side and roared at him.

Then the Nuzoki wriggled closer to the one Madison had jumped on, and reared up like a cobra, high enough that it could look Godzilla in the eye, hissing and roaring but holding back, but gaining Godzilla's full attention.

Madison crouched down and held onto him, through her hands up into her whole body she felt him shaking, not with fear but with anger, his plates lit up and he shook himself, he seemed to prefer to let his opponent intimidate him rather than fight on. But something felt wrong to Madison, Nozuki was planning something.

Something moved in the corner of his left eye. "I knew it." A large bit quickly came at them, but connected with Godzilla they were able to dodge the attack by simply taking a step back and then grabbing it with his left hand. The second Nozuki had survived and had intended to overwhelm Godzilla with a surprise attack, but it wouldn't happen that easily with his partner literally at his side. Holding it by the neck, it bit around again and whipped its tail wildly back and forth, the first Nozuki thought it could attack him now and lunged forward, but instead Godzilla lunged with his left arm and shifted his weight forward, throwing himself into the motion and striking the Nozuki with the other Nozuki in his hand. With their heads together, teeth erupted from their mouths and the first flew several hundred feet through the air down to the ground.

Godzilla wasn't done with the snake in his hand though, he took a step to the side and lunged backwards with his arm and with his opponent's head in front, he broke through a whole row of trees, the whole forest around them shook as the trunks fell, but in the end it was now dead, the skull was completely crushed, and it had gone all limp in his hand, he pulled it closer to him, pleased with his victory. Madison almost fell, but the HEAV equipment shoes gave her good support.

But despite everything, the first Nozuki didn't seem to have had enough, as it now reared up again in front of him and hissed at him, the other members of their pack were already dead. Godzilla had enough of it, he took a step closer and put his foot on the Nozuki lying on the ground and roared down on the last one, Madison had to cover her ears, she had never heard him that loud before.

Its opponent roared back puny and made a quick curse, it had only tried to buy time with the threatening gesture, if they did not make it to third, then certainly not alone. Quick as a flash it snaked up a tree, up to the treetops and then dropped again to glide away. Godzilla only growled and expelled hot air, his gaze following it for a while until it disappeared into the dense forest.

He let go of the nozuki in his hand and took a deep breath, he felt a little exhausted, he had burned more energy than expected, the sickness got stronger the more effort he put in. But it wasn't far now, the shouts he and Madison heard had grown stronger. He looked at his partner standing on his shoulder, she had shed her aura again, only her hair and eyes still had a slight glimmer. She was fine, as if they could move on.

So... it's been 3 months since I uploaded the last chapter. I'm very sorry, I'm active on some stuff but I just had a big block for a while. Not the best situation I'm in right now, plus it's summer and I just can't stand the heat. I think the next chapter might come faster but be shorter. I feel like Alpha Blood is taking way too long than I expected, I hope I get it done by the end of the year. Sorry for the long wait. I will revise the grammar mistakes tomorrow, I just want to get it out.
