I do not own the 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" characters. Please don't sue, I make no money from this either.

Unfortunately, their new allies did not get to stay long. Fortunately, they did stay long enough to help his students defeat and send back to Dimension X Kraang's soldiers of stone. The neutrinos proved valiant and helpful allies for his students with their cars that flew and were also equipped with lazar guns. With their help, his students once more put at least a temporary stop to Shredder's plans, and those of his new ally Kraang.

Splinter was very proud of his students, particularly Donatello, who had found a way to work Kraang's portal to their new enemy's universe and send back some of those who needed sending back, Michelangelo, who had forced himself to say a fond farewell to Kala, and Leonardo, who had destroyed the new enemy's weather-maker by jumping out of a flying car the neutrinos had left behind to slice the machine dropping ice blocks on New York City into two pieces with his katatana. As Raphael had said, "Great job Leonardo, everybody complains about the weather, but you actually did something about it."

Splinter had had mixed feelings about the Neutrinos going home. While the three teenagers from another universe had proven valiant allies, and had more knowledge about their new enemy than he did, they probably belonged in their own world perhaps changing it also for the better. Also, he had not known if he could handle three more students, and teenage ones from another universe at that, permanently. That was an almost scarier idea than the Shredder.

All in all, his student's first battle, in which they went into it knowing of this "Kraang," had gone very well. They'd all returned unharmed, and their foes forces had been lessened. Splinter wished though, they had actually finished defeating Kraang by sending him back to Dimension X also, and then somehow prevented him from ever returning again. Perhaps that was hoping for too much though.

His students were not happy to learn their efforts were not appreciated by any human save April O'Neil. They watched some TV together, and saw human after human onscreen comment on the strange happenings in their city and appearances of his students in their midsts. Apparently, it upset them. In fact, they were getting blamed, and there was speculation his students were aliens. They were dubbed "The Green Menace."

His students were enraged. April O'Neil was angry for an additional reason. Reporting their existence should have been her achievement it seemed.

Seeing how others had handled the story, Splinter agreed with her. However, one should not expect too much else from humans. He had still been human himself, when banished, for pulling out a knife stabbed through his own kimono by someone else before a visiting Master.

His new students, the turtles, were determined now to not only stop Kraang and Shredder, but also prove themselves innocent to the humans living above them and now benefitting from their courage. April O'Neil was even more determined to break the story of his turtles saving earth from Kraang and the Shredder. He wished them all well in these tasks. Perhaps, somehow, his own name might be cleared in the midst of all this. Even if it was, though, he no longer had the face of Hamato Yoshi to go with a newly cleared name.

Shortly after April left their home to do her part, a most annoying noise rang through their home from its TV. Despite how much it hurt his ears, he approached the device to watch it. He assumed the strange noise meant something important was about to happen with this appliance, so loved by his students.

His turtles moved next to him and stared at its screen too despite it being blank now. Then, Saki's face appeared on it in his Shredder mask. The sound ceased and was replaced with his voice.

He taunted him and showed off a gun that looked like something Donatello would create. Then he pointed it at a mutant who looked like a mixture between a bat and a thug. One blast from it turned him back into merely a thug a human thug. Splinter was astounded.

He … he could be … simply Hamato Yoshi again. Shredder said as much from the TV screen. He challenged him to come and get this cure for his condition from him. His students were excited for him, but also rightly afraid for themselves. They could be turned back into the regular turtles if that weapon was fired at them. What could he do? Clearly, he must go and get the retro-mutagen ray by himself!

What do you think?

God Bless
