The Psychic Dream

One day, Elite Four member Caitlin invited me to the Dreamyard for a friendly rematch. I accepted. Hilda and Rosa tagged along. My Victini sat on my shoulder to watch the battle.

Caitlin called out a Musharna. I called out my Scolipede. Scolipede easily outmaneuvered Musharna and knocked it out with only one Megahorn attack.

She sent out a Sigilyph. I recalled Scolipede and sent out my Chandelure. Sigilyph outsped Chandelure and hit it with a Shadow Ball move. This both did damage and lowered Chandelure's Special Defense. Chandelure struck back with a Shadow Ball of its own and knocked out Sigilyph in one hit.

She called out a Swoobat. I recalled Chandelure and sent out my Cofagrigus. Swoobat outmaneuvered Cofagrigus easily and hit it with Shadow Ball. This both did damage and lowered Cofagrigus' Special Defense. Cofagrigus struck back with its own Shadow Ball and knocked Swoobat out in one hit.

She sent out a Reuniclus. I recalled Cofagrigus and sent Scolipede back out. Scolipede outsped Reuniclus easily and knocked it out with one Megahorn.

She called out a Beheeyem. Scolipede easily outmaneuvered Beheeyem and knocked it out with a single Megahorn.

She sent out a Gothitelle. Scolipede easily outsped Gothitelle and hit it with Megahorn. Gothitelle struck back with Psychic and knocked out Scolipede in one hit. I sent Chandelure back out. Chandelure hit Gothitelle with Shadow Ball and knocked it out.

"As impressive as always. You and your Pokémon were even more elegant and excellent than before! My Pokémon and I learned so much! I offer you my thanks," Caitlin said.

A few minutes later, an Aria Forme Meloetta appeared. I had to use my entire party just to battle Meloetta. I chucked many different kinds of Poké Balls at Meloetta before I caught it.

"You're an excellent Trainer," Caitlin said to me.

The following day, Caitlin challenged me to a Psychic type-only rematch. Even though I only used my Victini and Meloetta, I still managed to win again.

"Alas! Even with the knowledge and skill passed down in my family of Trainers, I still can't win," Caitlin said.
