Note: There have been a lot of questions about weather or not Hadrian is going to have other magical abilities besides bloodbending. To that I will say… give it time. Talking to snakes is going to come up rather soon, but as for the others, well, he doesn't know anything about the British Wizarding World yet. As far as he currently knows, what he has is what he's got. Without spoiling anything ahead, just wait and see.
Part Two - A Date To Remember
They'd finally reached the weekend and Hadrian was enjoying a calming walk with Kurumu about the town. They'd arrived on Monday, and after only five days under his nose Issei had already improved his coursework significantly. The fact that Kurumu checked over his homework personally might have had something to do with it.
It was as they were walking that a strange scent caught the boy's nose. He tilted his head and sniffed sharply before carrying on his way.
"What is it?" the succubus asked her mate as they continued their leisurely stroll.
Without turning his head he answered, "That black haired girl is following us. She smells… strange."
They approached a storefront window and the blue haired girl used it to glance stealthily at the reflection of their surroundings. There, hidden slightly behind a nearby tree, was a raven haired girl possessing a rack even more impressive than her own.
"Hm." She mused, "That looks like Akeno Himejima. She and her friend Rias are a constant subject of gossip for the girls in our year even though they're a grade behind us."
"Interesting." I wonder why she's following us."
Kurumu smirked as she inhaled the air around her. Hadrian's scent was there as always, but a portion of it was being drawn across the distance to Akeno's heaving nostrils. The poor girl probably didn't even realize what she was doing. She couldn't know that a succubus would be able to feel the lust and desire she was practically radiating for her mate. "I think it's rather obvious, Hadrian. The girl wants you. Badly."
He raised an eyebrow. "Truly?" He trusted his mate's instincts for the opposite sex well enough. With a glance at her in the reflection he said, "She's very attractive. I guess I should be flattered."
"You could be more than flattered if you want." Kurumu purred.
Hadrian stared at his mate with shock plain to see on his face. "What was that?"
"You heard me." The girl slid into his side and held him close, purposely molding her breasts to him. "If you want to seduce Akeno, by all means go ahead."
"You want me to cheat on you?" Hadrian asked.
"No." Kurumu bopped him lightly on the nose. "I'm a succubus, Hadrian. I live on sexual desire. I can feel your attraction for her, and I can taste her attraction for you. If I'm honest, the thought of you bending her over and making her squeal is really, really, turning me on. So yeah, I'd be alright with you taking her as a lover, and others besides her, as long as you are honest about it and tell me every. single. detail." A nervous tone came into her voice as she finished, "And as long as you don't leave me for them."
"Hey," Hadrian kissed her forehead as he turned them both back onto the sidewalk to continue their day, "I would never leave you, Kurumu. You know that."
"I do. Sorry, just girly insecurity. Forget all about it."
"Alright. But I'm doing something nice for you tonight."
She smirked, "I can't wait. Now, do you want to seduce Akeno? Yes or no."
"Yes."
"Do you have a plan?" She pressed.
"I clearly haven't thought ahead. The possibility of asking her out hadn't even occurred to me until now." He chuckled.
"Hm." Kurumu gave a quick glance over her shoulder before saying, "Wait here."
Without another word the blue haired succubus spun around, ran over to the now panicking Akeno, grabbed her hand, and dragged the blushing girl over to her man. As she forced their hands together she said, "Akeno, this is Hadrian. Hadrian this is Akeno. Have fun you two!" With a fresh bounce in her step, Kurumu ran off to find a good peeping location.
Akeno meanwhile, was practically steaming with embarrassment. When Rias had asked her peerage for a volunteer to follow the mystery couple on their day off, she had jumped at the chance to observe Mr. tall, dark, and infinitely sexy. Her leader and best friend had told her to stay professional, but she couldn't help her interest. There was just something about him that drew her in. It had started the first day she saw him as he beat that pervert to within an inch of his life. Oh the pain he'd dealt out had made her wetter than a fountain. But it wasn't just that. Rias hadn't noticed, but she was more attuned to the mystical nature of the world than her friend, and there had been an… aura, of crimson and black light surrounding the strange boy. It was entrancing. After that, she'd begun following him on her own and the more she saw the more she liked. Now not only had her spying been discovered, but she'd been forced into a close proximity with her target, and his very presence was intoxicating like nothing she'd ever felt before. Even his breath seemed to radiate power. More than ever she was convinced that this man could not be human.
"So," She nibbled her lip slightly and smiled at the inhale the gesture brought to the man, "like she said, I'm Akeno Himejima. I'm a little surprised though. I thought that girl was your girlfriend."
"She is."
"Then why-"
"Kurumu is a very 'open' person. She doesn't mind sharing me as long as I'm honest about it. Is that a problem for you? You seem like you might want a piece of me after all." As stealthily as he could, he sniffed the air, and the familiar scent of arousal wafted into his nose. Kurumu had been right on the money with this girl.
"It's not a problem at all." After all, she'd had plenty of fantasies involving sharing men with Rias. She could understand where the other girl was coming from. "So what happens now?"
"Now… we go for a walk. We talk, and get to know each other, and if I manage to intrigue you enough then we go out on a proper date tomorrow. How does that sound?"
Akeno smiled and gripped his hand more firmly. "That sounds wonderful."
Two Hours Later
Rias was gloomily going over her monthly budget with a pair of small round glasses hanging on the bridge of her nose. She had perfect vision, but the enchanted lenses helped to make the numbers, that she was sure some truly evil being invented to annoy her personally, easier to make out individually. After all, one needed to have a good understanding of where one's money was going when one was responsible for their own peerage. That had been one of the first lessons her brother had taught her. A good thing too because her own father had never deigned to give her lessons on leadership. He was too busy selling her off to the son of his friend.
Thus she was infinitely happy to have an excuse to put the soul crushing pages aside when her best friend practically floated into the room with hearts damn near floating around her head. This promised to be an interesting story if nothing else. "Akeno? What happened? Why aren't you following Hadrian?"
"Oh, I was." The girl swooned into the chair beside her club president, and leaned over in a conspiratorial fashion as if she were about to partake in gossip. "He saw me though."
"What?" Rias gasped. "You were spotted? Are you alright?"
"I'm perfect! We're going out on a date tomorrow."
The red haired girl beside her could only stare. "A date? Akeno that man could be dangerous!"
"Oh he definitely is. I'm almost certain he isn't human either."
That caught her superior's attention. "Really? Do you know what he is?"
"Not yet, but hopefully I'll figure it out during the date. You should have seen him, Rias. The power… it was so intense. Without even trying he radiates it. And yet, with all that strength, he still looked at me with kindness and passion."
"I've never seen you like this, Akeno. Do you think he'd be open to joining our peerage?"
"I couldn't say. Maybe after tomorrow I'll have a better idea." She sighed again and wrapped her arms about herself to hold off a squee. "We're going for a walk in the park so we can talk and get to know one another better. As for your observation… I don't really know why I feel like this. I've never been this 'drawn' to somebody before, but I can't say I hate the feeling."
"Hm…" Rias tapped her nose in thought for a moment before she came to the realization that ordering her friend off of the stranger would achieve nothing while she was like this. So instead she decided to trust her and her instincts. "Alright, but please be careful." She took Akeno's hand in her own, "I don't know what I'd do if I lost you."
"Relax, Rias. It's just a date. What could possibly go wrong?"
On The Grounds Of The School
Issei was just leaving from a cram session with the tutor Hadrian had hired for him when it happened. A dark haired girl in a Kuoh student's uniform came up to him and said, "I'm sorry, but I saw you at school and I really, really, like you, and I want to take you out tomorrow, so will you go out with me?!"
Faced with the bombardment of rapid fire information, as well as the incredibly cute girl confessing to him, all Issei could think to say was, "Would tomorrow work?"
The Next Day
Whatever Akeno was expecting her day to start with, it wasn't a six foot-three Hadrian Hyoudou on her doorstep with a bouquet of flowers. She'd just gone out to check what the weather looked like and there he was!
"Um…" She blushed as his eyes seemed to drink in the sight of her. It took a couple seconds for her stunned brain to register the fact that she was still only in her underwear. With a quick "Excuse me." she closed the door, wrapped a nearby blanket around herself, and then opened it once more. She'd been surprised at her own forgetfulness, but seeing the disappointment on the boy's face for no longer having the sight of her, made Akeno smile. It was rather nice to be desired by someone you yourself wanted.
"I'm sorry, but I thought our date wasn't until this afternoon." She asked politely.
"It isn't, but I woke up and I was just too excited to relax. So I thought I'd bring you some flowers and see if you'd like to grab some breakfast with me."
"Oh, I'd be delighted. Just give me a minute to get dressed." With that she closed the door again, rapidly threw on a purple blouse, jeans, and a pair of red boots, then locked up and went to accompany her date for an early morning meal. He'd dressed casually himself, in dark jeans, a button up shirt, and leather boots. The thought that her afternoon date was turning into a whole day practically had the girl humming with satisfaction.
As they sat at a small outdoor cafe, munching on plates of rice, miso, and fish, Akeno asked, "Seeing as we're already out and about, maybe it's a good time to talk? I'd like to learn more about you."
Hadrian gave her a sly grin and said, "Well what would you like to know? Ask away."
"Alright then I will. How is it that a completely unknown student suddenly transfers to one of the most prestigious high schools in the country without any fanfare? Where did you go to school before? What are your dreams for the future?"
"That's a pretty wide range of questions there, Akeno." Hadrian noted, only for his date to wave him on. He sighed, but answered all the same. "The school was happy to let me in if I would be able to keep my little brother in check. Before this I went to a very particular private school in the mountains. I thought I'd graduate there and maybe stay on to teach, but now… I'm not sure yet, but I know I like to help people, and I'd like to have a big family someday."
"Really?" Akeno asked, "How big?"
"Very. But I've spoken enough. It's your turn now. Tell me about yourself."
The raven haired girl smiled. Throughout their breakfast Hadrian had shown remarkable self-control. He'd only looked at her chest once! And now he actually wanted to hear about her, rather than make everything about him. He was certainly checking more than one of her boxes. "Well, I grew up in a rather… traditional family. They weren't really happy with how my parents got together so things were rather tense for a while. Sadly my mother passed, my father left, and I wound up on my own. If it wasn't for Rias taking me in, I'd very likely be dead right now."
She hadn't stopped smiling once through her tale, hoping to let them breeze right past it. Her date was having none of that however.
"You don't have to hide your pain from me, Akeno. I can practically feel it when you speak. You hide a lot of misery behind that smile don't you?"
"You're the first to figure that out." She whispered as the ever present grin finally left her lips. "It isn't that I hide it, it's just…"
"You don't want to burden anyone with it." Hadrian nodded. "Believe it or not, that's something I can understand. I've had positions of authority, and those where I've had to look after others. It isn't easy being responsible."
"No it is not." Akeno agreed, seeing the boy before her in a new light. "So it doesn't bother you that I'm a bit messed up?"
"Why should it? I'm not exactly put together either. If it helps, when I was a child I was attacked by a rabid wolf. Ever since that day I get a little nervous when I hear howling at night. It almost feels like it's coming for me again."
Akeno's smile returned, for real this time, and she reached across the small table to take his hand. "We have some rather strange topics for a 'light-hearted' date don't we?" She chuckled.
"I guess not. But what do you expect? It's not like were human, so why do things like humans?" He asked, earning a shocked start from his date.
Seeing the look, Hadrian hastened to add, "Yes, I know you aren't human, no it doesn't bother me, and yes I will explain how I know eventually. Suffice it to say for now that I have a very good nose, and you don't smell like everyone else."
Far from his expected reaction, Akeno leaned forward and tweaked his ear with a deadly smirk on her lips. "Are you implying that I have body odor, Hadrian?"
"I-I would never insinuate anything of the sort." He stammered, earning a pleased nod and release of his ear. As he rubbed it gingerly and paid the check he stood, offering her his hand once more. "Well, my lady? Would you accompany me on a trip through town?"
She took the hand he offered and slid her arm through his, "Gladly."
Thus they spent their day together. Meandering down the streets, bowling, getting a little handsy, and finally going for a light afternoon walk through the park.
Harry was just trying to find the right time to lean over for a kiss, when Akeno asked, "Hey, isn't that your brother over there?"
With the mood effectively ruined, Hadrian looked across the green to where Issei truly was, with a girl of all things. "Huh, guess he had a date today too. I wonder why he didn't tell me about it?"
"Maybe he- wait…" Her voice trailed off, "That girl looks familiar…" Her eyes shot open wide, "Hadrian, we need to get Issei away from her right now!" The occult research club received regular updates on suspected Fallen in their territory and this girl's features were a match for Raynare! If she was on a date with someone Rias suspected of holding a sacred gear, then her intentions could not be good.
"What? Why?" Her date tried to ask, but before she could answer the sky grew dark, Raynare's clothing and body morphed into her true form, and a spear of light grew in her hands.
Across the distance they could hear her shout, "It's time to die, Issei!"
Hadrian didn't have anymore time for questions, he had no time to think. His perception of time slowed to a fragment of its usual speed, and one fact above all others permeated through his brain. His little brother needed him.
With a roar, the werewolf reached out with his senses, latched onto the blood in Raynare's body and pulled! The woman's spear disappeared, she squeeled with fear, and the next second the werewolf found himself holding a struggling Fallen by the neck with murder in his eyes as his form began to shift and change. His face elongated into a more vulpine shape, the teeth in his mouth grew into razor sharp points, and midnight black fur began to cover his body as his formerly green eyes morphed into the color of fresh blood.
Faced with the maw of a true werewolf, Raynare screamed and struggled anew to escape, only to seize in place as the blood inside her veins screamed and started to boil.
"You tried to kill my brother." He growled down at the smaller creature. He didn't care that Akeno could now see his true form. He didn't care that Issei's eyes were filled with shock. All he cared about was one simple fact. "You need to die bitch." With a Howl he gripped her head with both hands and crushed it with all of his might!
A sickening pop was heard and the next second Fallen brains scattered across the grass of the park, with her body being dropped with zero dignity a second later. Now that the threat had been dealt with, Hadrian turned to view the others, especially his date, that was now gazing at his massive true form. Her reaction was not what he expected. "Fluffy!" She squeed as she began rubbing her hands all over his fur and scratching behind his ears. To the man's utter mortification, one of his legs actually began to twitch with enjoyment from the treatment!
She eventually ceased her ministrations, and he decided it might be a good idea to see if Issei was alright. He'd just witnessed his date being violently slaughtered after all. That was when he saw the body.
In a flash Hadrian reverted back to his human form and rushed to his side, to find his brother still awake, yet breathing in rapid gasps. His veins in his eyes seemed to be bleeding into the sclera.
"I've seen this before." The werewolf muttered as he scanned his senses over the smaller teen's body. He found it instantly, poison. Racing through his body like a flood, and there was nothing he could do about it. If it was still only in his blood he could have pulled it out, but the deadly substance had already reached his organs. When had the bitch had time to do this? Wait... they'd apparently been on a date when he arrived. That explained it.
"Can you heal him?" He demanded of Akeno."I don't know what you are so tell me now if you have that capability."
She looked at him seriously and said, "I do not, but Rias does. I can call her here to save him, but he may not last that long."
"Is there anything you can do to buy time?"
"Yes, if you let me use your energy as a fuel source I can hold his body in stasis until he can be healed. Will you let me do this?"
Without a second thought Hadrian nodded. She took his hand, and all he remembered next was several seconds of drowsiness before falling into the abyss.
The Next Day
Hadrian launched up in bed as if he'd been shot, and two pairs of delicate, feminine, hands took hold of his shoulder to pull him back to lie down once more on the crimson bedding. Wait, crimson? Where was he?
His eyes frantically tracked the hands to their owners and he found himself face to face with the naked forms of Kurumu and Akeno as they rose to hold him down. They were both looking at him with worry and apprehension, and it only added to his confusion.
"Kurumu, where's Issei? What's going on?!" He tried to wriggle out from under the girls' holds, but they were surprisingly strong.
"Relax, Hadrian." The blue haired succubus soothed, pushing just a bit of power into her voice. Hoping it would soothe her man just a bit. It seemed to work, as his struggles began to cease. "Everything is fine. Your brother is safe back at your parent's house. His healing went off without a hitch. You were brought here to sleep off the effects of basically being a giant battery. As the one that 'sucked you dry', Akeno offered to stay with us." She leaned down to whisper in his ear, "Though I think she really just wanted the chance to snuggle with you. Good job, Love, she has it bad for you."
Satisfied for the moment with the knowledge that his brother had survived, the werewolf allowed himself to be leaned back without a further fuss as the two women laid down flat on his chest. He supposed it wasn't the worst position to be in.
Eyeing the new girl's nude state he remarked, "Rather forward here, eh Akeno?"
She huffed with good humor and said, "Seeing you punish and destroy Raynare like that was the absolute hottest thing I've ever seen. I like you, you like me, and you seriously turn me on. So now I'm making my intentions for you as clear as I possibly can. On the bright side, while you were unconscious I got to have a lovely conversation with your little succubus here, and she confirmed that she had no problems with sharing you."
He blinked at that, and she smiled warmly at him, "Yes she told me what she was. She kind of had to, after hearing about what happened to you she got so stressed that her wings and tail popped right out!"
"So you know what I am, and what Kurumu is, but we still don't know what you are."
A nervous look flitted across the girl's face before she visibly steeled herself and pushed up on his chest enough to free up room for her wings to pop out. They were jet black, but one was jagged and crooked, while the other was beautifully arched and covered in smooth feathers. "I'm a devil."
"Cool." Hadrian nodded, earning a shocked glare from the girl.
"I just told you I'm a literal creature of darkness! I serve a demonic family that rules in hell! And your response is just 'Cool'? Who does that?"
"If you knew the man he used to work for you'd understand." Kurumu cut in. "Just trust that he really doesn't subscribe to the idea that dark creatures are evil. He certainly wouldn't be with me if he did."
Hadrian nodded at that. "What you are doesn't determine who you are. And who you are is someone that I rather like." He proclaimed, earning a pleased smile from the girl.
"So I'm lying in bed with two gorgeous girls, my brother is alive, and all seems well." His voice grew an edge of steel, "What's the bad news?"
Having discussed this very problem with Akeno earlier, the two women had decided that the blow might come across easier if the succubus delivered it. So Kurumu swallowed quickly and explained, "While you were unconscious, Rias offered Issei a deal, of a certain kind."
"What are you saying exactly?" The wolf growled.
"Issei is no longer human, and he is bound to the Household of Rias Gremory."
End Note: I heard the complaints about how this chapter originally dealt with Raynare and I have changed the necessary section. Looking back, it wasn't really to the quality that I try to maintain, and I apologize to my readers for having to read what shouldn't have been my final product.
