Alph's POV
"Whew! That sure was harrowing." A now-awakened Olimar observed.
"It sure was." Charlie agreed, "I thought for sure our goose was cooked!"
Olimar chuckled, "Sounds like you three have been through quite an ordeal. I can't thank you enough for saving me. But I'm getting ahead of myself, I'm Olimar Captain of the SS Dolphin. Pleased to meet you."
"Likewise." I responded, "It's great to finally find you."
"Olimar!" A shout came from The Drake.
Louie sprung from the ship, still tied up as expected, "Wow it sure took you guys long enough to find him. Say can you guys loosen these ropes? I can't feel my arms anymore."
Brittany shot daggers at him. He took the hint, "Uh... I guess that's a no."
Olimar just stared at him, me, Brittany, and The Captain felt awkward. We realized we had to explain to Olimar why his assistant was tied up. I opened my mouth to say something, but Olimar beat me to the dialogue.
"I'm not even going to ask, I think I already know what happened. Louie. I'll give you a talking as soon as we get back to Hocotate."
Louie recoiled and retreated behind his back. Olimar sighed and turned to the Koppaites.
"I apologize for any inconvenience that he caused you. Do you think you could forgive him?"
Brittany nodded, "I suppose so… At least he's not our problem anymore."
"That's right!" Olimar suddenly stated, "You've been looking for this right?" He started digging around in his pockets. When he found what he was looking for and showed us, every trace of worry flew off our shoulders.
"It's the cosmic drive key!" I exclaimed, "Now we can get back to Koppai!"
"Phew! What a relief!" Brittany says.
"This must be fate Captain Olimar!" Charlie declared, "Hocotate is on our way home, so why don't we give you a lift?"
Olimar clapped his hands together, "Thanks, I'd appreciate that! My own ship is sadly out of commission."
Louie jumped out from behind Olimar, he had been completely soundless after Olimar scolded him but now he was loud and eager, " FOOD! All right! Now we can go back home and celebrate! You know what celebration involves right!? FOOD! Food! Food! Come on! Come on! Let's go get FOOD!" He danced all around and skipped his way into the Drake.
Olimar shrugged, "Good grief…"
Feeling triumphant from having prevailed over every obstacle we faced, we proudly lifted off the planet for perhaps the last time. From below, we could see the Pikmin running under our ship as we shot by, cheering.
"I guess they really sense that this is good-bye." I believed, looking out the window.
"Do you think they'll be okay without us?" Brittany asked, she was looking out the window right next to me.
"I hope so. But people at home are waiting for us."
"So then let's go home!" Charlie affirmed.
"Roger that! Preparing to enter cosmic speed!"
Everyone got to a secure position.
"Cosmic drive engaged! Let's go!"
With incredible speed we soared our way out of the planet's orbit! Off into the endless sea of stars.
And so the intrepid explorers successfully complete their mission! After securing a bountiful supply of edible matter and learning the valuable lessons of 'planning' and 'teamwork,' the explorers are set to become the saviors of their home planet!
Under their guidance, the seeds they've recovered will be used to kick off a sustainable cycle of cultivation and harvesting, thus bringing new life to Koppai.
However, one question remains. What was the cause of the accident that sent the SS Drake hurtling to PNF-404's surface?
Perhaps it wasn't an accident after all…
Alph's POV
So now our mission is over, and we're returning with all the edible matter available in this planet's explorable areas! When we get back to Koppai, our heads will be held high! Something's troubling me… Louie, the other Hocotatian we rescued has vanished. I could've sworn I saw him board the S.S. Drake with us... Did we leave without him?
"Alphie!" Brittany sunnily called my name, skipping toward me.
"Hey Britz what's going on?"
"This is great! We're going to be heroes!"
Olimar explained, "I've been to this planet twice already, I remember that same feeling when I left both times."
Charlie was amazed, "Twice? Wow! You've got to tell us about those adventures!"
"Those are long, but amazing stories." Olimar chuckled, "But that will have to wait for another day. Hocotate is in sight."
"Well then, It was great to meet you Olimar!"
"I hope we meet again someday!" I stated.
"I'm sure we will." He repilied, "Someday."
... I'm sure Louie will be fine.
The Pikmin...We owe them so much… they fought so bravely for us. Thanks to them, we are no longer in danger of starving! I can already see the look on everyone's faces as we tell them about the Pikmin! For the first time in a long time I'll have a good night's sleep. We will never forget you Pikmin!
This was no doubt, the most memorable adventure of my life.
The Journey of a Lifetime.
