Jade's POV
I wake up slowly with a raging headache, I notice a girl with red hair sitting in the corner of the room sobbing loudly into her hands.
"Hello?" I say, my voice very, very hoarse and not that loud
But she hears me because she glances up at me and hobbles towards me and hugs me tightly.
"Oh my god Jade, I'm so glad you're awake!" the girl says and I feel hot tears dripping down my back
"Erm, I'm sorry, who are you?" I ask confusedly, pushing her back gently
"No, no, no, dont say you can't remember me, please no, I'm Cat your best friend, we've been friends for years, you can't not remember me!" Cat screams angrily, looking like she is about to pull her hair out
"I think I remember you talking to some guy called Beck on the phone, who is he?" I ask vaguely remembering the conversation I heard earlier between that girl Cat and the guy called Beck
"He's your ex boyfriend and one of my best friends" Cat says moving closer to me and resting his head on my shoulder, I dont have the heart to push her away
"Where's the phone?" I ask, wanting to speak to this Beck guy, my ex, why do I want to talk to my ex boyfriend? I dont know, I just need to
"Over there, why?" Cat asks, looking confused
"I want to talk to Beck" I say, I dont know why
"Ok, but I dont want to talk to them right now so if they ask I am asleep"
"Fine" I say crawling over to the discarded phone in the corner
"Hello?" I say grabbing the phone and carefully bringing it up to my ear
"Jade!" I hear a female voice exclaim down the phone
"How is Cat?" I hear a trembling male voice ask
"I dont know she's sleeping" I lie, remembering what Cat told me to say
"Did she tell you what happened?" oh I recognise that voice, that's Beck
"No, what happened?" I ask, I'm already confused about a lot of things
"She was raped" Beck says quietly but loud enough for me to hear
I suddenly get flashbacks and memories coming back to me.
I was raped, like Cat was, that's what she was talking to Beck about.
"What?" I ask, feeling devastated, a sudden instinct to protect the small redhead
"You were unconscious when it happened"
"I'm scared" I say, my voice fragile, my memories and thoughts are all over the place
"I know, but we are going to find you, I promise"
"No that's not it, I... I can't remember anything, I didn't even know my own name until Cat told me, I can't remember anything about Cat and she says that she's my best friend, why can't I remember!?" I scream down the phone, confused and crying
"ok, just calm down Jade, it's probably the stress that's making you forget things and I think you might have a concussion, but you will remember, just relax" Beck says slowly and in a calm voice, it works a little, I just take deep breaths and I feel less stressed
"Thank you" I say, trying really hard to take his advice and relax
"Do you remember Andre, Tori and Robbie?" Beck asks gently
"No! I can't! Why can't I? Who are they?" I ask, bursting out in tears again, hysterically crying now
"Calm down Jade, you will remember them eventually, they are your friends and you will remember them" Beck says, I can tell he's trying to make me feel better, it works a bit, I'm not crying as much but I'm still shaking
"I'm going to check on Cat" I say hoarsely, putting the phone down and crawling back over to Cat
After I couple minutes of Cat crying into my chest, we both end up falling asleep.
