Snape brought a frightened Sidney Potter to the hospital wing. Poppy gasped, "Here she is! Lay her here." The headmaster was there, watching everything. Sidney was shivering like mad; she didn't want to be in the hospital wing. She never did; Madame Pomfrey was nice, yes, but if she was in there, it meant drinking potions. Disgusting potions that hurt her insides.
Madame Pomfrey gave the child a potion that was deep blue. Sidney wouldn't drink; Snape said, "Sidney...drink it." Sidney cringed back and drank it immediately. She felt numbness roll from the tips of her toes to the tip of her nose. She hoped for her brother to be okay. She knew this wasn't natural. Her eyes closed. She pursed her lips closed. She heard Snape's curt voice, "Sidney, stay awake." She couldn't help it; she fell unconscious.
Snape furiously bent over her and shook her. Sidney was cold; he gasped and he cringed a little bit. Her hair was turning white. Poppy said, "What's happening?" He picked up the vial and saw, "This isn't numbness potion; it's the potion that takes away all powers!" He ran to his office to look for the antidote quickly.
"Poppy, stop panicking!" Dumbledore spoke for the first time. Poppy turned furiously, "You tell me to prove that Ms. Potter is abused, and so I try. You are going to be the death of not just me, but of everyone in this castle Dumbledore!" Sidney was paling; she tried putting more blankets over her to keep her warm.
Dumbledore was perfectly calm; Severus came back to Sidney's side. He put a vial underneath her nose. Sidney breathed the potion in and her hair started turning red again. She awoke, but was perfectly numb. Poppy glowered at Dumbledore and showed him the scars she had. Showed him the x ray. Showed him everything she'd seen.
Dumbledore said, "I'm sure this is incorrect. Ms. Potter looks healthy to me." Sidney grimaced and glowered at Dumbledore, "Healthy?! I've had to go through all of what Vernon Dursley has done to me, but I now tell you sir, I won't put up with what you are thinking!" Poppy's eyes widened; Sidney had an attitude!
