Krika: Hey guys! Welcome back to Heroes Arise: A New Journey! I know it's been FOREVER since I last updated this story, but now I have returned! And with a cleaner writing style for it! I hope you guys enjoy! I do not own Pokémon whatsoever. And a side note. The human world, in my terms, is the world of the Dex Holders, so that's where Team Heroes are at the moment. In fact, they're in Unova right now.
After encountering Ryder and Shadow, Team Heroes are now on their toes for anymore news on the Shadow Pokémon, enemies that they once dealt with in the past on Eternia. But beside that, there is a certain person who is wandering around Unova, investigating the whereabouts of the Shadow Pokémon.
A young girl, looking around 17 to 18 years old, who had red hair and yellow eyes wearing a red shirt with white shorts was looking around. To anyone else, she was just some girl, but in reality, she was one of the Eon Dragons, Latias. Lady Arceus did send me here for a reason. But...I do want to know where Team Heroes are living. It has been a year since I've seen them. Latias, or Tia in her human disguise, thought to herself before picking up a rather familiar Aura signature, "Hey this is..."
Zack was nearby at a shop, with it being his turn to get some stuff for the others. Luke was busy taking Kendo lessons, Jakob had a job as a courier, and Jim...well, he just lazed about at the house. "Dammit Jim...last time I play rock, paper, scissors with a guy who's a Zorua"
"Zack!" Latias called out, getting him a surprise hug from behind, making him shout in surprise.
"W-what the?! Who the heck are you?!" Zack said.
"Oh, right. I'm in a disguise right now," Latias said, getting him to a location and turns into her true form, shocking him.
"L-Latias?! What are you doing here?!" Zack said.
Latias turned into her human disguise, "Investigating multiple breaches between the human world and the Pokémon world"
"The Shadow Pokémon...yeah, we know about that alright," Zack said.
"Yeah. Several stragglers. Dozens of them from what Palkia is saying," Latias said.
"That so? Speaking of him, how's he been doing the past year? Along with the others?" Zack asked, with the two of them heading back to the house.
"Well~...he and Dialga have been seeing each other recently. Same with Mew and Celebi. And I'm more than sure that Lugia is seeing someone," Latias said with a smirk.
(Reminder of listed females of the Legends in this story. Celebi, Lugia, and Dialga are all females, along with Mespirit, Azelf, Jirachi, Arceus, Lunala, Manaphy, Articuno, and Moltres. And who Lugia will be dating will be a mystery until later on in the story)
"Really? I'm glad they're all living happily," Zack said with a smile.
"Me and my bro haven't found our special someone yet. But I'm sure we will. Especially my bro. He could use a girlfriend to have him doing something on at least a daily basis," Latias said.
"Do I even need to ask?" Zack said.
"Probably not. But it's nice to see you after a year. But it's not like we were bored. We...kinda had a recent incident," Latias said, looking a bit uncomfortable.
"What sort of incident?" Zack asked, looking a bit worried for her.
"I'll explain when we get to the others. Where do you live anyway?" Latias asked.
They come up to the house, "Here we are"
"Oh! Nice place!" Latias said.
"Thanks. Jakob's at work right now and Luke is at Kendo class. But they'll be back soon," Zack said.
"Okay. At least I'll see the rest of the team again," Latias said with a smile.
Zack led her inside, Zack meeting her once again and they decided to hang out until Jakob and Luke came back. After Jakob and Luke were reintroduced to the Legendary Pokémon, they were in the living room to talk.
"So...about that situation you told me about. What's the details on what happened back home?" Zack asked.
"Right...let me start things off. It began with mysterious reports of Pokémon being turned to stone. Me and my bro went to investigate one day and...well, all I can remember from that point is running away from something. And the next thing I knew, we were turned to stone ourselves," Latias said.
"That's horrible!" Jakob said in shock.
"I don't really know the rest of the details from my end, but the other Legendaries and the Legendary Heroes at the time gave me and my bro the rest of the story of what happened," Latias said.
"Oh? Who were the heroes this time around?" Jim asked.
"Two pairs this time around. A Dewott and Combusken by the names of Jace and Val were team Destiny. And a Quilava and Grovyle by the names of Stephan and Sawyer were The Syndicate," Latias answered.
"Okay...but what's with the different team names if both pairs are heroes?" Luke asked in confusion.
"Yeah...that's the thing..." Latias started.
(This is where the entire plot for Super Mystery Dungeon is explained. Also Stephan and Sawyer and team name for them are from DimensionDistorter, who I plan on doing a collab story with in the near future)
"Geez...that's kind of pretty amazing. So Jirachi has been apart of this Expedition Society for a while?" Jakob asked.
"Yeah. But besides that, are you sure you're okay? I mean, this whole Void stuff must have gotten you really shaken up," Zack asked Latias with concern.
"I'm fine Zack. It was...VERY terrifying, but we all made it out okay," Latias said, waving off his concern.
"If you say so..." Zack said, still feeling a bit concerned.
"You know, since you're investigating as to how the Shadow Pokémon are getting into this world, you're welcome to stay here if you'd like," Jakob offered.
"Oh! I'd like that, thank you!" Latias said happily.
"Zack, you're sharing your room with her," Jakob said to his friend.
"Huh? Well, makes sense. My room is a bit bigger from all of your guys', so sure," Zack agreed.
*Later That Night*
While Team Heroes and the disguised Legendary were sleeping, Zack woke up to get some water. Once he did, he headed back up into his room and found Latias starting to toss and turn uncomfortably on the spare mattress that they had, "Latias?"
"N...no...I...I can't...take it...!" Latias said in her sleep in a panicked tone.
Zack, panicking, shaking her to wake her up, "Hey! Latias! Wake up! It's a nightmare!"
Latias woke up with a startled yell, panting heavily and some tears fell. Before Zack could ask, she quickly hugged him.
Zack blushed a tiny bit, and hugged her back, "Hey...it's alright. I'm here. You just had a nightmare, that's all"
"I...it wasn't just a nightmare...it was...like a memory. Of...of that terrible place called the Void," Latias said, sniffling.
"I see...well, if it'd help at least a bit, we can sleep together for the night," Zack offered, but blushed and awkwardly rubbed his head and glanced away, "Uh...if...if that's alright with you anyway..."
Latias sniffled a bit and wiped her eyes and smiled a little, "N...no. That's fine. Thanks Zack"
For the rest of the night, they both slept on Zack's bed, and luckily Latias was able to sleep without another nightmare popping up.
*The Next Day*
Everyone was up and having some breakfast, with the news on.
"And now for urgent news. Recently there have been cases of major destruction and vandalism all across Unova. And even similar cases have been happening in other regions," the news reporter said.
"That's definitely not good. They're causing some trouble, alright," Luke said.
"Dammit...if only we were Pokémon again. Then we'd show those Shadow Pokémon what for!" Zack said, clenching his fists.
"Or if you had your powers," Latias stated.
"Yeah, that's the thing. I know I managed to use some sort of odd Aura to beat Shadow Giratina, but I have no knowledge whatsoever on how to use it again," Jakob said.
"Well, we can't really give up just because of that. Hey, what if the other Legendaries help out? Wouldn't that make things easier?" Jim asked.
"Well...we Legendaries try to refrain from interfering with any public affairs if we can help it. Same goes for this world. Sorry to say that," Latias said regretfully.
"It's alright Latias. Hey, what about Ryder? Maybe he can help?" Zack asked.
"Yeah, well no word whatsoever from him at all," Jakob said, crossing his arms.
"Who's Ryder?" Latias asked.
"Some talking Charmeleon who helped us against Shadow when he tried attacking us one day. He's pretty quick too, didn't even see him hit Shadow until an injury came out of nowhere," Luke explained.
"Well, he sounds pretty interesting," Latias said.
"But we know absolutely nothing about him whatsoever. He's a mystery," Jim said.
"Well, if you think he can help, I'll take your word for it," Latias said.
"Also...what happened last night? We heard you yell in panic, Latias," Jakob said, looking at the disguised Legendary.
"Huh? Oh, I just had a bad dream is all. I'm fine," Latias said.
"If you say so," Jakob said.
*Meanwhile*
In an abandoned warehouse, Shadow stepped onto a crate to look over some very ominous looking humans. All having some things in particular. They all had jet black hair and blood red eyes while wearing black and grey clothing. "Alright. Looks like we've been making some progress people. And what's even better is that the so-called heroes can't do a thing! They can't even use their moves like us!"
The Shadow Pokémon, every single one of them being a human, cheered in response.
"Now...we might have failed to take over our home world and our masters were locked away for all eternity. But this is a great second chance. So, let's tear this world a new one," Shadow said with a sinister grin, his eyes glowing.
Krika: And there you have it people. The third chapter. I know it's been forever since I last posted a chapter for this story, but I did have some serious writers block for it. Now stay tuned to the next chapter! And try guessing on how Latias and Zack will be interacting in the future.
