Krika: Hey guys! Welcome to the fourth chapter of this sequel story! This chapter will have a bit of a surprise for Team Heroes, and a very good one! Also, if you guys have seen Ryder's stories, then you should know what he's about. He's a really awesome, yet secretive character with an amazing background. Ryder belongs to PokeMaster64.
Three days have past since Latias reunited with Team Heroes. However, in those past few days, Shadow and the Shadow Pokemon he now commands have been wreaking havoc across the world, with the Heroes feeling more and more useless.
"Dammit!" Jim shouted, pounding his fists on the table, "If only we had our powers then we'd be able to help!"
"The police and Pokemon Rangers aren't able to do anything either. The Shadow Pokemon seem to be getting stronger each day," Jakob said, crossing his arms.
"Well we have to do something. Anything to help keep this world safe," Luke said.
"We can try scouting. Gathering information on how we can beat the Shadow Pokemon," Zack said.
"Good idea Zack. That can most certainly help. And I can relay any information we have gathered back to the other Legendaries," Latias said.
"Then you're going to need some more help," a voice said, making everyone jump in surprise until they saw Ryder in the living room.
"Ryder! Wait. How did you…" Jakob was about to ask.
"You left the door unlocked," Ryder bluntly said, making Jakob laugh sheepishly.
"Note to self, lock the door unless otherwise," Jakob said.
"So you're Ryder. Nice to meet you, I'm Latias," Latias introduced herself, shaking hands with the talking Charmeleon.
"It's a pleasure to meet a Legendary," Ryder said.
"Quite the gentleman," Latias said with a smile.
"So...wait, you told us to keep our heads down the first time we met! Why are you suddenly wanting to help us now?" Luke asked him, the Charmeleon crossing his arms with a sigh.
"Because I know your type...you'll try and help against these guys, no matter what anyone says. So I might as well help out in that regard. While I handle the more sensitive info, you all can split up and gather any intel you can get on their whereabouts"
"Well, it's better than just sitting around all day doing nothing," Jim said.
"Yeah, I agree. Let's going everyone! Time to find out what the Shadow Pokemon are up to," Jakob said, getting nods from everyone.
"I'll see you all again later," Ryder said, leaving as the other five headed out to gather the information they needed. Unaware something was going to happen in their future soon...
*An Hour Later*
Team Heroes split up in the city to gather information on anything regarding mysterious people, though without any luck in that.
With Zack, Latias decided to accompany him and they managed to get some vague information, but nothing solid to go by, "Well, this could be going better"
"I'm sure we can find something, Zack. Can't really give up so early," Latias said to him.
"Yeah...but, I'm sure the others aren't having such luck with this too. I mean, I...what was that?" Zack said, stopping and looking around, confusing Latias.
"Something wrong?" Latias asked.
"...Get down!" Zack yelled, quickly tackling Latias out of the way of a Shadow Ball.
"What the?!" Latias said in shock before hearing some laughter.
"Wow! Powers or not, you got some reflexes! This won't be so boring as I thought!" A voice said, making Latias and Zack look on top of a building to see a woman wearing mainly black and grey clothing consisting of a sweater and jeans. She had long, jet black hair and glowing red eyes. She had a sinister grin on her face as well.
"A Shadow Pokemon…" Zack said, him and Latias getting up.
"Call me Megalina," the Shadow Pokemon said, doing a mock bow before chucking another Shadow Ball at them, making civilians and their Pokemon run away in fear.
*Jim*
Jim heard the explosion from the first Shadow Ball, "What the…" Reacting quickly, he dodged a Thunderbolt and heard some insane laughter and looked up to see a young man walking towards him, electricity sparking across his entire body.
The young man had wild, jet black hair with glowing red eyes and wore a jet black suit that resembled closely to a straight jacket, "Jason's going to have some fun with you, hero!"
"Great. A psychopath," Jim muttered before dodging another bolt of lightning.
*Luke*
He was quickly and swiftly dodging another Shadow Pokemon, who was using close range moves. This Shadow Pokemon had the same eye and hair color, but his hair was very short and he wore a black and grey tracksuit.
"Stay still and I'll make this quick!" The Shadow Pokemon shouted.
"No chance!" Luke said, throwing his punch at his face...but it didn't seem to have fazed him, "Oh crap…" Gets punched in the gut with a Mega Punch and sent through a window.
*Jakob*
Jakob was panting heavily as he was covered in various injuries, Shadow standing above him before lifting him up and a ball of black fire forming in his palm, "This is the end for you, hero. Any last words?"
"Yeah. You're never going to win this," Jakob said with a smirk.
Shadow narrowed his eyes before thrusting the fireball at him, but before it could hit Jakob, a pillar of gold light erupted from him, making Shadow drop him and jump back, "What the hell?"
Jakob started to slowly get up, looking at his hands as he felt a very familiar power, "This is…"
Three more pillars of light erupted in the city, each coming from where Luke, Zack, and Jim were. A pillar of blue light was coming from where Luke was. A pillar of purple light was coming from Jim's location. And finally a pillar of orange light was coming from Zack's location. Each of them feeling a power coursing through them.
"What is this?" Shadow said, looking around at the pillars of light before they suddenly ceased.
Jakob clenched his hands and looked up at Shadow, his eyes flashing a gold color.
*Luke*
Luke walked out of the store he was punched into, and this time he had a kendo sword in hand, in which he held in front of himself as the sword was engulfed in a light blue energy as Luke infused it with his Razor Shell into it, "I don't know what's going on, but I do know one thing…" he clashed against the assailant, their speed matching each others.
"What the hell...? Where did this come from...?" The Shadow Pokémon said to himself.
*Jim*
Jim clenched his fist before punching the ground, a blast of dark energy bursting at Jason as a Night Daze was let loose, "This power...wherever it came from…" he creates a Shadow Ball in his hand before throwing it at Jason, who dodged it.
"Now this is interesting! Bring it on little fox!" Jason said, laughing psychotically.
*Zack*
Zack was engaged in close combat with Megalina before nailing her with a Fire Punch as Latias watched in awe, "It's given me the strength to finally fight back!" flips back to avoid a kick and breathes a mass of fire at the Shadow Pokémon.
"Well, this is a change..." Megalina muttered to herself.
*Jakob*
Jakob slammed a Bone Rush on Shadow, who tried his best to defend against the onslaught of attacks, "You're not going to be running around freely anymore! You, and your goons, Shadow!"
"Dammit!" Shadow shouted before running off, Jakob in hot pursuit.
Soon all four groups met up in the plaza, the Shadow Pokemon grouping up, Jakob stepping forward and pointing his Bone Rush at them, "It's over. Now surrender"
Shadow glared before breathing out a thick smoke, Team Heroes used close range attacks to jump into the smoke, and it cleared to reveal that the Shadow Pokemon escaped.
"Damn, they got away," Jim said in frustration.
"This won't be the last time we see them. But let's head back home so we can try and figure out what the heck happened to us," Jakob said, getting agreements from his team and Latias and they went back to the house.
*Meanwhile*
Shadow punched a crate, destroying it, "Dammit! Where the hell did they get all that power?!"
"You told us they didn't have anything, Shadow. So what happened?" The Shadow Pokemon who fought Luke asked him.
"I don't KNOW, Furex! But someone is responsible for them regaining their powers!" Shadow shouted.
"I say we find whoever is responsible and make their death slow and painful," Jason said childishly with some insane laughter.
"Get all of our scouts and have them to try and find who is responsible!" Shadow barked at them, making them flinch a bit and do just that.
"He's definitely in a foul mood..." Megalina commented.
"Yeah...but it's understandable if you think of it," Furix said.
"Yes...who knew that us hunters would soon become the hunted?" Jason said, giggling a bit.
"Yeah...but we're going to change that around soon enough," Furix said, the three of their eyes giving off an ominous glow.
*Unknown Location*
A tall figure in a grey cloak was inside a dark area, possibly a cave, "Now, it's all up to them. But you will play the biggest role, Jakob"
The figure was holding an orb, images of Team Heroes appearing on it and Jakob being mostly focused on.
Krika: A mystery of this story. Who is this mysterious figure who is watching our heroes? And how did they get their Pokemon moves back in the first place? All will be answered as the story continues. Stay tuned.
