AN: I AM SO SORRY THAT I'M AN IDIOT! Why? Because I let college stress destroy my mind to the point where I renamed a character MID-STORY! To those of you confused beyond belief or those that don't know yet I made the dumbass mistake as to name a character in Chapter 8 named Hitomi was once Hiroko here in Chapter 13. Again I am so sorry, I'll do my best not to screw up in the future.
Chapter 13
Sasuke retreated his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan to watch the black flames consume Shintaro's arm did so completely in a matter of seconds, but not before the boy screamed in pain writhing on the floor.
"Niichan!" the girl cried helplessly as she tried to help her brother
"Stay back!" the boy shouted as he pushed his sister away with his flame free arm
"Hokage-sama that's enough!" Hanabi shouted
"Stay out of this." Sasuke said with authority as he wiped the blood flowing from his eye
"What he said!"
"Niichan! Hokage-sama please, let my Niichan live please!" the girl cried as tears flowed down from her eyes watching her brother roll around in pain
"Sealing Art: Chakra Leech!" the boy cried as the black flames on his arms began to disappear into the arm they were destroying in the first place much to everyone's surprise.
In no less than a minute the black flames disappeared completely into his arm.
"Sealing complete." the boy said tiredly panting heavily as well much to his sister's pleasant surprise
"Niichan!" the girl said as she immediately went to healing her brother's burnt arm
"You're ok...you're ok." the girl cried trying to focus on healing the boy's arm as Sasuke tried to process what just happened
"That's impossible. No one's been able to put out the Ameterasu before...not even that fool Naruto. This child is already proving to be a problem, maybe I should've pointed it to that girl. Then again, that boy would've stood in front of her to protect her so I doubt that it matters. Maybe now he knows his place. Now, let's see what he has to say."
"Now, is there a point to you being here?" Sasuke asked nonchalantly as if what happened 2 minutes ago didn't happen.
The girl was beyond furious as was Hanabi as they were about to say something, but the boy interrupted them both.
"There is, like I said I have a way to preserve this Kami-forsaken village, but it'll depend on your cooperation."
"Cooperation, did you forget who you're talking to?" Sasuke said reactivating his E.M.S (Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan)
"No, I didn't, but you seem to forget who I am as well." the boy retorted changing his eyes as well much to Sasuke's and Hanabi's surprise.
"I thought that power of yours was sealed away." Sasuke said menacingly
"So that you could dump me into battle releasing it at will? Sorry, but that ain't happening."
"Did you unseal it yourself then?" Sasuke asked dangerously
"Ha, I wish. No, some jackass believe it or not knocked me out, fucked with the seal in the hopes of what you planned to do to me, but I killed him with said power." the boy retorted with pride
"Where was he from?" Sasuke asked urgently
"Don't know, I didn't ask as I was beating the shit out of him for touching my sister. It was obviously someone with a grudge against you, but he did have dark skin like those from Kumo. That's about it." the boy said recalling his lie
"Hn, figures that Raikage simpleton would try something like this, but we can't afford war right now. So, for now we'll just ignore it with them knowing they've failed. Now, tell me this plan of yours to save Konohagakure." Sasuke said with slight interest
"Gladly." the boy said with disgust.
9:53
Suddenly realizing the promise he made Shintaro made a clone to deliver to some food to Fu who was no doubt wondering where her meal is. As Shintaro, and a few more clones he summoned, picked up the last of the debris of the shattered table he felt the presence of another in the room. Turning around Shintaro saw that Misaka of all people was there standing alone waiting almost impatiently for him to notice.
"Oh! Misaka-chan. What's up, you need something?" Shintaro asked
"Yeah, I uh….wanted to talk." Misaka said surprisingly uncomfortable, and even nervous for whatever reason before quickly shaking herself out of it
"Sure, but aren't you supposed to be with Rei?" Shintaro said confused
"I left her with Ayano after she….explained how things came to be with her outburst earlier, and what you intend to do to make up for it." Misaka said with her arms crossed
"Oh….yeah, I kinda owe it to her considering all the crap she's put up with, especially when it came to me." Shintaro said blushing a bit
"Listen I...sigh, first can you get rid of them? Because I want to make this as private as possible, and that includes your buddies over there." Misaka said pointing to the clones
"Hey! What did we do?" a clone said whining
"You make me uncomfortable, it's hard enough talking to one of you I don't need an entire audience." Misaka said
"Alright Alright you heard her. Just take what you have in your hand toss it out then dispel, I'll just summon some more clones." the original Shintaro said to the clones who hung their heads, but obeyed nonetheless.
"Ok, that's the last of them. Now what did you want to talk about Misaka-chan?" Shintaro asked
"First off why do you call me that? I don't think I ever gave you permission to call me like that considering I hardly know you. Not to mention that every time you do call me that I get this weird little ping in my heart. Almost like it meant something to me before." Misaka said as she put a hand on her heart looking off in the distance as if trying to remember a memory she lost while Shintaro kept a neutral look when in reality he was panicking on the inside.
'Oh shit! oh shit! oh shit! Does she remember everything? Damn it, what do I do? What do I say? What if she remembers….no! That damn Yamanaka jutsu shouldn't have gone to waste so soon…. wait a minute, what am I freaking out for? This is my chance to fix things with her! Then why am I so scared?'
'It's because you still feel guilty about what you did kit. Even though it was the right call you still blame yourself for everything that happened to her.' Uncle Ku said
'Uncle! Now's not a good time for you to butt in like this. Besides why shouldn't I blame myself? Her parents are dead because of me! Her memories are gone because of me! All because I couldn't have the guts to face her after what I did.' Shintaro thought to himself
"Hey! Don't ignore me!" Misaka said pelting Shintaro on the head
"OW! Misaka-chan that hurt! Why do you have to be so mean?" Shintaro said rubbing his head for comfort
"Why do you always have to be an idiot?" Misaka said when suddenly out of nowhere she had a flashback of unknown origins.
It was blurry so she couldn't make out most of her surroundings. She appeared to be around 5 years old standing in front of a boy who was rubbing his head from the pain who she could barely see, but felt as if she knew him.
"OW! Misaka-chan why do have to hit me?" the small boy said almost crying
"Why do you have to be such a crybaby?" Misaka said as the boy started to cry
"Geez, I swear the second you feel pain you always cry. You need to toughen up." Misaka droned on as he boy continued to cry while the memory faded away.
Thinking back on that memory the ping in her heart grew larger, and even painful to where she clutched her chest for a brief moment. Now Shintaro confused as well as feeling a bit left out he started to snap his fingers to gain Misaka's attention.
"Um, Misaka-chan? Yoohoo...Misaka-chan?" Shintaro said snapping Misaka out of her fit.
"Baka! Don't interrupt me when I'm thinking!" Misaka said smacking Shintaro on the head
"Ow! At least you're still fine physically Misaka-chan." Shintaro said taking a few steps back
"What does that mean?" Misaka asked annoyingly
"Oh-uh nothing. Ahem, so back what you're talking about in the first place." Shintaro said trying to change the subject
"Right. Aside from you calling me Misaka-chan without my permission which still annoys me, I wanted to talk about you, and Ayano." Misaka said
"Yeah, you mentioned that, but you never went into details." Shintaro interrupted
"Well, if you stopped interrupting me I'd get to that!" Misaka said again smacking Shintaro on the head
"OW! Sorry, sorry." Shintaro apologized
"Hmpf! You're lucky I have patience though Kami knows why I deal with you." Misaka said sighing
"Anyways, Ayano told Rei, and I about your birthday gift to her tonight with the dinner….and how you plan to tell her things you haven't told the rest of us yet." Misaka said looking, and feeling a little hurt though she did not know why which did not go unnoticed by Shintaro
"She told you that huh?" Shintaro said a bit down
"Oh crap, it wasn't a secret was it!?" Misaka said a little worried
"No no, it's fine. It was her decision to tell you, and I have no problem with it." Shintaro said as Misaka sighed in relief
"Good, because what I'm about to tell you is very important." Misaka said with absolute seriousness
"What is it?" Shintaro asked confused
"Do not, I repeat do not drive Ayano the wrong way, and fill her head with hope without coming to a conclusion." Misaka said
"Huh?" Shintaro asked confused
"Baka. I mean don't do all of this, and leave her hanging without a clear cut answer." Misaka said annoyed
"Answer on what?" Shintaro asked giving Misaka a bunch of tick marks, but calmed herself down somehow
"I mean from the way you talked to her sounded like you were planning out a love confession." Misaka said still annoyed which took a few moments for the gears Shintaro's head to turn over, but after processing the information he became a completely stuttering red-faced mess.
"N-n-n-no! I-I-It's n-not l-like that at all I-I swear! I-I'ts j-just a b-birthday gift that's all. I-I mean I-don't f-feel t-that w-way t-towards her. Not completely anyway-eep!" Shintaro said covering his mouth.
"Did he just eep?" Misaka thought to herself
"Oh? Seems like a different story to me." Misaka said amused, and skeptical
"Well…" Shintaro said looking down as he pushed his index fingers together
"Well, whatever is going on in that perverted head of yours I'm not letting that happen." Misaka said as Shintaro's face grew redder
"I-I'd never take advantage of Ayano-chan like that!" he blurted out
"Yeah, you better not. Listen despite how we look now, we're all still in our late teens by now still in our head thanks to whatever freaky deaky jutsu you used on us. Taken that in mind I'd still think you should wait on the whole dating thing. At least until you guys are physically 13." Misaka lectured
"But Misaka-chan I told you it's not like that." Shintaro protested
"Then why are you taking her to dinner tonight? Why an expensive restaurant? Why have a 'very stylish, and handsome' butler suit in one of your scrolls for tonight? Why tell her things that she "needs" to know? Why show her your face when none of us including Hiromi don't have a clue about who you are?" Misaka snapped with that last part with a bit of hurt, and anger
"Well….I did kinda blurt out some things earlier remember?" Shintaro said looking hurt as well making Misaka flinch at that reminder
"Oh….yeah, sorry." Misaka apologized genuinely
'That reminds me. If what he said is true, then why did he bother to save us? It's not like he couldn't leave without us. Maybe I should apologize to him.'
"Look, Shintaro the point I'm trying to make is that if you're going through all this then be honest with Ayano. She at least deserves that don't you think?" Misaka said
"Right." Shintaro sighed
'How can I be honest with Ayano-chan when I'm afraid to tell you the truth? No, there's no excuse for that...if Ayano-chan can handle the truth then maybe...maybe you can as well.'
"Good, at least you got that part of what I said through that thick skull of yours. So remember, treat Ayano nice, and with the utmost respect...because if I find out you make her cry...I'll make sure you never walk again." she said darkly grabbing her sword
"Y-yes Ma'am!" he stuttered bobbing his head up and down
"Good, now I'm heading back to Rei to pick out an outfit for her other than the rags she came in. I mean seriously, it's like she's never even worn clothes before, but I guess it's fine. It's actually almost like having a dress up doll." Misaka said chuckling
"Well, that's actually because she hasn't worn any her entire life." Shintaro passively
"What was that?" Misaka asked dangerously
"Didn't she tell us how, and where we found her?" Shintaro asked
"No, she didn't. Well, actually all she mentioned at first was that she was born in the Forest of Death, and that was it. That was when I decided to leave, and come here." Misaka said
"Well that part was true, her being born in the Forest of Death and all. Remember that asset I was talking about getting there?" Shintaro asked as Misaka nodded
"Well, to make a long story short that asset was a Aburame clan experiment gone wrong who could control every type of insect in the world. Her name is Joōbachi, and is actually under contract with me. So long as we take care of her daughter she's agreed to help us against you-know-who, and we're going to do just that. Anyways Rei is the daughter of Joōbachi, and let's just say her method of developing after birth was a little...different."
"Different being that she was grown in a pod learning everything via integrating it into her mind so Rei would gain all of Joōbachi's past battle experiences as well as everything else. So in order to do so Rei was put into a pod all her life never leaving it until today, which would explain why she was naked when I pulled her out of there mys-OW!"
"Pervert! How dare you put your hands onto an innocent girl when she's vulnerable! When I tell Ayano about this she'll know the truth about you once, and for all!" Misaka yelled as she repeatedly beat Shintaro with her family sword
"OW-Misak-Ow!-chan why ar-Ouch! you hitt-aye! hitting me!?" Shintaro asked in-between beatings
"For being a perverted baka! Now take your punishment like a man!" Misaka said as she continued to wail on Shintaro who helplessly laid there taking his beating like a man.
10:00
As Misaka was stopping for a break a loud banging was heard from the front door of the hotel.
"Who 'pant' could that be?" Misaka said out of breath
"Don't know. I'm gonna go check." Shintaro groaned as he rubbed the sides of his body.
Walking closer to the door the banging ceased to stop.
"Alright! Alright! I'm coming sheesh!" Shintaro yelled as he opened the door
"Geez, the hell do you people want? I just got beaten by a girl for no reason with her family sword, and I have a huge headache." Shintaro asked annoyingly as the sun hit his eye
"Watch your tone boy." a voice said with authority
"Hiashi, be nice. It is his house, and you were the one to order Ko to repeatedly bang the door. My apologies, is there someone named Shintaro here?" a female voice asked gently
"You're looking at him miss uh…"
"Hitomi, Hitomi Hyuuga." she replied while Shintaro got a better look at her. When he did though his eyes widen at the sight of her almost gasping, but he held it in.
'She, she just looks like….I guess that makes sense though considering who she is.'
Hitomi was a beautiful woman going on her 4th month of pregnancy, her hair was a dark eggplant like color that reached to the back of her waist, she was wearing the standard robe the Hyuuga wore only her was a light purple, she had a light tint of lavender in her Hyuuga eyes that showed kindness in them. Quickly getting a hold of himself Shintaro responded to Hitomi.
"Nice to meet you Hyuuga-san. May I ask why you've come to seek me out?" Shintaro said politely
"That's him mommy! That's the boy who kicked the bully's butt by scaring the crap out of them!" a new high pitched voice said out of nowhere
"A-Aiko-chan y-you shouldn't s-say things l-like that." a timid voice said
"Agreed, a Hyuuga heir should say such things." Hiashi said sternly making Aiko flinch
"Hehe, sorry dad." Aiko laughed nervously
"You shall address me as Father or Otou-san." Hiashi said sternly
"Yes, Father." Aiko said a little sad
"Hiashi, there's no need to be to harsh on Aiko-chan. She did say she was sorry, don't you think that's good enough?" Hitomi said somewhat angrily probably due to her hormones raging
"She needs to learn discipline." Hiashi simply said
"Yeah, and that discipline is gonna make her turn out real fine. Dad of the year right there." Shintaro said with obvious sarcasm making all heads turn to him with Ko's, Aiko's and Hinata's eyes pop out looking at Shintaro if he had a death wish while Hitomi looked at him with curiosity wondering where this might lead to
"Care to repeat that boy?" Hiashi said neutrally, but held a tiny bit of annoyance in his face
"Sure, since you're deaf of hearing old man I'll repeat it. I said 'Yeah, and that discipline is gonna make her turn out real fine. Dad of the year right there.' So did you get that old man?" Shintaro said unintimidated
"Aiko is a Hyuuga, and Hyuuga are the elite of Konoha. She is also part of the main branch so she should act like one of the elite as expected." Hiashi said directly
'Yeah, so she could be a self serving arrogant ass like yourself? I don't think so.'
"She doesn't seem capable of handling a stick up her butt unlike you. Unless you plan to break her down taking away what makes Aiko like herself I suggest a different parenting style. Though if you're going with the "my kids are terrified of me, but do what I say" style then you're doing a great job of it." Shintaro said keeping a cool head
"I would watch what you say boy. I didn't come all the way here just to be critiqued on how I decide to raise my daughters." Hiashi said
'Yeah, but Aiko isn't your daughter. You, and I both know that.' Shintaro thought to himself
"Then would you mind telling why you're here? That is if it's not too much trouble for the Clan Head of the Hyuuga's." Shintaro said cynically
"I came here to see if you had the identities of the children who were bullying my daughters." Hiashi said
"As well as thank you in person for protecting them. Hinata-chan, Aiko-chan would you please thank the nice boy?" Hitomi asked the two girls
"H-Hai, Okaa-san. Arigato Shintaro-san thank you for protecting my sister, and I." Hinata said with a polite bow who surprised everyone there with how she didn't stutter a word when thanking Shintaro
"Woah! Nēchan you actually spoke normally for once!" Aiko said surprised as Hinata realized it herself
"I-I did. I-I don't know why though. It just felt natural talking to him." Hinata said surprising herself with her speech impediment
'It's almost as if I've met him before.' Hinata thought to herself as she looked at the boy
"Well, I think it's nice that you feel comfortable around me . I found it no trouble at all helping when you, and your sister needed it." Shintaro said politely giving Hinata an eye smile
"Yeah! You were so awesome the way you scared those mean boys away! Thanks for that, you really helped me, and Nēchan out." Aiko said in a cheery tone
"Thank you for the compliment , but I wouldn't have been there if a certain group of kids hadn't run off." Shintaro said humbly
"Speaking of which…" Shintaro said as he turned around to whistle loudly in a pattern to the rooms
"Fu! Suigetsu! Naruto! Get over here now or we're going on a 5 hour training session with Ling!" Shintaro yelled getting the attention of the three children.
It only took less than a minute as the three children sprinted over to where Shintaro is as he counted the seconds.
"32.3 seconds, a new record. Very impressive the three of you, especially you Naruto I wasn't aware you could run that fast." Shintaro said to the three panting children
"I 'pant' had a lot of 'pant' practice." Naruto replied in between breaths
"I can imagine. Now the three of you straighten up, you have guests, and I expect you act accordingly. Are we clear?" Shintaro said to the three in a mildly lecturous tone
"Yes." the three groaned
"Good, and besides I'm sure you'll want to meet our guests anyways." Shintaro said as he stepped back to reveal the Hyuuga's
"Are these the group of kids you were talking about Shintaro?" Hitomi asked
"Yes, yes they are. Would you three introduce yourselves?" Shintaro said looking to the kids who suddenly recognized some of the faces that were there
"Oh hey, it's those girls from before….Hinata, and Aiko right?" Naruto said pointing to them
"No duh! How can you forget something that happened barely an hour ago! I swear your memory is shot to he-OW!"
"Like your one to talk fishboy. If anything your memory probably sucks even more than his." Fu said annoyingly as she smacked Suigetsu
"One of these days all your gonna hit is water." Suigetsu grumbled as he glared at Fu
"Then until that day I'll have to savor knocking your head into the ground." Fu replied with a grin
"Ahem!" Shintaro grunted as he glared at the children
"Oh, right sorry about that. Right, my name is Fu. Just Fu since I don't have any parents, nice to meet you." Fu said smiling
"The name's Suigetsu, Suigetsu Hozuki of the Hozuki clan. Last member actually as far as I know, other than me, and big bro I got no clue if there are any others left. Nice to meet you." Suigetsu said smiling showing off his sharpened teeth
"Last, but not least my name is Naruto Uzumaki of the Uzumaki clan! I don't know everything, but Honoka-nee says that I'm apparently a clan heir or something. I have no idea what that means, but I guess it's something cool. Well, whatever it means it's nice to meet you guys again." Naruto said with a wide fox-like grin
"D-did you just say Uzumaki?" Hitomi asked surprised
"Yup just like my mom Kushina Uzumaki." Naruto said with pride
"Your mother is Kushina Uzumaki!?" Hitomi asked surprised as Hiashi raised an eyebrow
"Yeah, why you know her or something?" Naruto asked as Hitomi went through a range of emotions right now.
Looking at the child closely now Hitomi could automatically tell the the resemblance within him.
'He looks exactly like Minato, and acts like Kushina did when I first met her. By Kami this really is Kushina's child! But how? Hiashi-' just then a dark aura surrounded Hitomi as she turned to her husband with an evil look in her eye that Hiashi hadn't seen in a long time. So much so that even he started, if only slightly, to lose his neutral expression
"Hiashi….I thought you said that Kushina, and her child both died during the Kyuubi attack." Hitomi said darkly
"I did, and I stand by what the Hokage told me. I'll admit the boy does resemble Kushina and Minato, but the Hokage told us that this boy was given the name Uzumaki to honor her name as a jinchuuriki." Hiashi said cooly struggling to keep a straight face
"Then explain to me how someone else other than a Uzumaki can become a jinchuuriki! You, and I both know that Kushina was the only one capable of being a jinchuuriki she told us herself that only an Uzumaki could be a jinchuuriki for-"
"Forgive me Hitomi-sama, but the children…" Ko said nodding underneath him to a frightened Hinata hiding behind Ko's legs
"Okaa-san?" Hinata said a little scared of her mother
"Oh dear, I'm sorry Hinata-chan I didn't mean to frighten you like that. It's just that your father can be frustrating at times." Hitomi said glaring at her husband
"I only did so based on what the Hokage told us. Fugaku, Tsume, Chouza, Shikaku, Inoichi, Shibi, and I are only carrying out the Hokage's will as did the council. You can ask any of them if you'd like." Hiashi said
"Uh, not to interrupt your lovers quarrel here, but you said you came for the identities of those bullies did you not?" Shintaro said getting the attention of the two fighting lovers deciding to discuss this at a later time
"I did. So do you remember what they look like?" Hiashi asked a bit annoyed at the boy
"There were three of them, all boys around my age if not maybe a year older. They never referred to each other by name, or at least when I was there. One was wearing a white t-shirt underneath a black jacket with white shorts, and had a dumbass "tattoo" on his face, that was probably drawn from some markers, of a skull on his right cheek; he also had brown wavy hair that had way too much product in it."
"One other boy was wearing a green shirt with brown shorts with band aids all over his hands, and face probably from doing something stupid no doubt."
"Lastly there was one boy who acted like the leader or something, he had black hair, black eyes, fair skin which made him look decent looking I guess for girls but I don't care, he wore black pants that had a chain hanging loose from his left to back pockets with a black sweatshirt that some sort of symbol on it I wasn't paying attention nor did I care at the moment all I know is that it had the colors red and white on it."
"Like I said I didn't care who they were at the time, all I cared was that they left my sight before I pounded their faces into the ground unmercifully. To be honest that dude was the one who held Aiko as a hostage, and caused one of my friends harm….I made sure that he'd wouldn't do something that stupid again. So, I believe that's all you need to know about them. Anything else?" Shintaro asked the Hyuuga head who for the first time started to really slip his neutral demeanor as it slowly turned to anger
"This symbol….would you say it was in the shape of the fan?" Hiashi asked as calmly as he could, but it was apparent to everyone there Hiashi was enraged.
'Ah, turning to the Uchiha's for blame is he? Well, I can hardly blame him for thinking so since their clan's hate each other's guts….come to think of it, it did kind of look like a fan. However, the last thing I need is both the Uchiha, and the Hyuuga on my ass for starting a clan feud….although I've done things to both clans to gain favor from them. From giving the Uchiha Clan's Matriarch a chance to meet her long thought dead best friend to saving the heiress's of the Hyuuga main branch. But….maybe I can use this to my advantage, let's just see how this plays out.'
"Tell me something, because after thinking about it carefully I remember what the symbol. All I want to know is that if you're thinking what I'm thinking then I don't want to be involved in or caught in the middle of a clan feud between the Hyuuga, and the Uchiha. We got a deal?" Shintaro asked Hiashi who was doing his best not to lose it, but calmed himself down
"If the Uchiha are involved, and things get….out of hand, you have my word that i'll not involve you after you give me information on whether or not they are involved." Hiashi said
"Good, I'm gonna keep you to that….and yeah it was a fan. Now that I think about it the red was on top, and the white on the bott-ooh." Shintaro said as he felt obligated to show that he was "intimidated" by the aura Hiashi was giving off due to the information he just heard
"I see….Hitomi stay here with the children. Ko, you're coming with me….we're going to have a chat with the Uchiha Clan." Hiashi said in his commanding Clan head voice
"Forgive my impertinence Hiashi-sama, but are you sure leaving Hitomi-sama with Hinata-sama, and Aiko-sama alone with these children? Wouldn't a member of the cadet branch be more suited for this task?" Ko asked very nervously, but felt like he needed to address
"I am sure. Hitomi is 4 months pregnant so if things get heated I don't need to worry about her, my two children are present as well so it would be best if they stayed with their mother, and although it is the duty of the second branch to protect the main branch it would take too long for one to come here. As it is I wish to discuss these matters with Fugaku personally now. Besides, where else would you have them stay Ko?" Hiashi asked
"I-I don't know Hiashi-sama, b-but are you sure it's safe for the three of them to be here? We hardly know this boy, and this building doesn't look safe." Ko said
"Hey, I take offense to that." Shintaro interrupted
"This building is a hotel/bunker that has a 15 year warranty left on it guaranteed to hold out in the event of an invasion. If anything this building will last longer than a war bunker." Shintaro said with pride as everyone sweat dropped save Hiashi at the fact Shintaro was insulted of Ko berating him of not having building safety rather than himself
"There you have it Ko. Are you satisfied yet or is there something else you wish to complain about?" Hiashi asked sarcastically
"Now now Hiashi, Ko's only looking out for us that's all." Hitomi chided
"Then he should know that I take everything into consideration when it comes to the safety of my family. For example, I noticed that I can't look into this building at all even with my Byakugan, actually I can't look into any of the nearby buildings. Care to explain why?" Hiashi asked
'At least I know the seals work.'
"We're very prominent when it comes to privacy. At least I can take comfort in my fuuinjutsu is up to date, if it can fool even a Hyuuga clan Head's byakugan then I got nothing to worry about." Shintaro said casually much to Hiashi's annoyance until he realized something
"Are you saying that there are seals throughout this part of Konoha that the Hyuuga clan's byakugan can't see through?" Hiashi asked seriously
"Yeah, one of my greatest achievements if I say so myself." Shintaro said
"What gives you the right to do such a thing?" Hiashi asked
"My property, my rules. I ain't doing anything illegal so if you got a problem take it with the Hokage, he can testify to me owning Living District 14. As the landlord I have the right to attain my privacy however I please so long as I don't conspire against Konoha, and I also have the right to ban certain people from coming here, but I'm not applying this to your wife and kids so don't get the wrong idea." Shintaro said
"I wasn't aware that children can own property." Hiashi said unconvinced
"Children don't also kill bandits or ninjas to protect themselves, hunt for their food on a daily basis, or even escape from Iwa, but I'm still here otherwise." Shintaro retorted glaring back at Hiashi
"I see that you're full of surprises."
"I see that you're full of questions." Shintaro replied as the two went back and forth
"A wise man always asks questions when it comes to his family." Hiashi said
"Wise men can only go so far before their wisdom fails them." Shintaro replied
"Only if they mistakes." Hiashi retorted
"Everyone makes mistakes." Shintaro replied
"That includes you then." Hiashi pointed out
"I've learned from them." Shintaro said plainly
"As you should." Hiashi said plainly
"What else would I do?" Shintaro asked sarcastically
"Focus your life on them or take it out on others." Hiashi said knowingly
"You speaking from experience?" Shintaro replied snidely
"It's common sense." Hiashi said neutrally
"Something you seem to be lacking." Shintaro pointing out
"I could say the same to you." Hiashi retorted
"Why is that?" Shintaro asked
"Who lives in this sort of environment?" Hiashi asked looking at the building
"Someone who doesn't want people like you in their business." Shintaro said in a hostile tone as it sparked a faster debate
"People like me?"
"I'm not saying."
"Why not?"
"Why do you care?"
"I don't."
"Then don't ask."
"I'll ask what I want."
"Ask away you won't get an answer."
"Who do you think you are?"
"Someone who's not intimidated by the likes of you."
"Why not?"
"Because I've met more intimidating people than you."
"Like?"
"Kushina Uzumaki, Mikoto Uchiha, your wife Hitomi Hyuuga."
"Exactly what do you find intimidating about those 3?"
"Simple, they all have 3 things in common."
"And what would that be?"
"They're all women, they're all mothers, and they're all capable of putting their man in place if need be when they get out of hand. Or am I wrong in assuming so?"
"You're-"
"He's what Hiashi-kun?" Hitomi said butting in the two's conversation in a voice that seemed suspiciously sweet with an intimidating aura around her
"He's uh….Ahem. He's right."
"Glad you agree." Hitomi said with a smile on her face
"So, tell me something Hiashi-san. Do you plan to deal with Fugaku, Head of the Uchiha Clan, before, during, or after the meeting that's supposed to take place today?"
"How do you know about the meeting the Hokage called us for?" Hiashi said accusingly
"Simple, I'm gonna be there. After all I'm the one who asked to be there to the Hokage to discuss matters of my own." Shintaro said much to Hiashi's surprise
"You? Why would the Hokage grant the request of one such as yourself?" Hiashi asked
"Because I'm the one who called the meeting in the first place." a certain redhead said grabbing the attention of everyone there while a certain Hyuuga was shocked to see her standing there much less alive.
"K-K...Kushina?" Hitomi said in disbelief almost in tears while Kushina also looked in disbelief at her other lifelong friend.
"Hitomi?" Kushina said looking at her friend while they both shouted each other's names in joy
"Kushina!"
"Hitomi!"
It wasn't long until Kushina ran to hug her friend like she did with Mikoto the night before, and she would've hugged Hitomi with all her might until she noticed something.
"Hitomi are you..." Kushina asked looking at Hitomi's stomach to which she smiled in reply
"Yup, this will be my sec-third, third child." Hitomi said laughing nervously happily patting her stomach
"T-Third!? I could barely handle my first pregnancy. But wait, if that's your third then where is little Hinata? Last time I saw her she was still in your stomach." Kushina said eager
"Take a look for yourself. Kushina, I'd like you to meet my two daughters, Hinata, and Aiko." Hitomi said stepping to the side to show Kushina her children, although it would've help if Hinata would stop hiding behind Hitomi...and Aiko being actually there.
"Nice to meet you Hinata and...Hitomi, is this Aiko girl of yours somewhere else?" Kushina said sweat dropping pointing behind Hitomi
"Hm? What do you..." Hitomi said confused looking behind her to see that Aiko was...
"Aiko-sama! Please come down from there!" Ko said frantically at a swinging Aiko
Apparently while Kushina and Hitomi were getting reacquainted with each other Hiashi was trying to hide his surprise as well as Ko who was doing a poor job of doing so. This led to Ko losing his grip on Aiko who spotted something she'd like...the only problem is that something was attached to the ceiling.
This happened because Shintaro was in his own mind deciding on what to do at the meeting later today, and Aiko was curious to what was inside the hotel asking Naruto, Fu, and Suigetsu to show her. Aiko then spotted on the chandelier on the ceiling, decided it was pretty, and wanted to play on it. The trio of kids tried to stop her, but Aiko was as slick as a greased pig bathed in oil. Aiko then hopped everywhere jumping off the walls until she managed to grab hold of it swinging happily like no one's business.
"A-Aiko-chan!" Hinata yelled finally getting the attention of everyone there
"Get down from there you brat!" Suigetsu yelled
"I told you to grab her!" Fu yelled at Naruto
"Sorry! She's just so tiny, and she's fast too! She also hit me in the gut when dodging me." Naruto said defending himself
"Tch! Boys, so unreliable." Fu said in annoyance
"What are you guys-Aiko!" Shintaro said looking up in shock
"Wheee! This is so much fun, Hahahaha! Come on, you guys gotta try this! You too Hinata!" Aiko said giggling to herself without a care
"Aiko-chan hang on, and don't let go!" Hitomi said in a panic
"Come on mommy! I got this in the bag, this is too easy for me."
"Young lady get down from there now!" Hiashi ordered
"Oh daddy, you worry too much! Can't you trust me already?" Aiko asked losing her happy mood.
"I see she has your energy Hitomi." Kushina said passively
"I think she's got more than I ever had." Hitomi said worriedly
"Come on you guys, just try to get me dow-Whooah!" Aiko said as the chain holding the chandelier snapped while everyone looked in horror as Aiko began falling to the ground. With the chandelier falling as well with Naruto, Fu, and Suigetsu underneath it.
As Aiko fell something in her mind made her see something similar to what she was in now. It was blurry, and it happened in a flash so she didn't clearly see what she was looking at. She felt fear like never before, scared beyond belief However, it was interrupted due to her being grabbed by Shintaro.
Thankfully Shintaro was already on his way to Aiko as he jumped to grab her with one arm putting on her back so she could grab on, the chandelier with teeth through his mask, and performed ninjutsu with his hands.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Shintaro said through the chains he held with his teeth.
4 clones then appeared out of thin air, each one grabbed the edges on the chandelier so the original could let go, and focus on keeping Aiko in his arms from being hurt. The four clones had the chandelier on each side, and had landed safely with minimum damage to it then placing it on the floor carefully before disappearing. While that was happening the original Shintaro had landed on his back skidding across the floor keeping Aiko in his arms safe from harm.
"Aiko-sama!" Ko yelled
"A-Aiko-chan!" Hinata and Hitomi said in worry
"Aiko!" Hiashi said worried
"Shintaro!" the three children said
Everyone was running to see if the two were ok which they were as Shintaro sat up to inspect Aiko to see if she was alright, but not before hugging her in disguise of keeping a hold of her. The hug had done wonders for Shintaro solidifying the fact she was there, but knew he had to let go of Aiko so he wouldn't raise suspicion. Releasing the hug reluctantly he found that was a bit harder he wasn't the only one who didn't want to break the hug. Aiko was actually shivering a bit not wanting to let go of Shintaro.
"P-Please d-don't let go." Aiko said softly to where only Shintaro heard it for himself surprising him.
"Don't I won't ever let go...not again." Shintaro said equally softly with the last part so queit the point where Aiko couldn't even her Shintaro's word.
"Aiko what do you have to say for yourself?" Hiashi asked harshly causing Aiko to flinch
"Hiashi! The girls scared enough as it is, she doesn't need you yelling at her." Kushina snapped
"What she did was reckless, and she needs to be punished." Hiashi said sternly causing Aiko to quiver in fear, something Shintaro noticed right away.
"Hiashi, don't make this worst for Aiko-chan than it already is." Hitomi said
"She doesn't need you coddling her every time she does something like this. You defend her too much in these situations." Hiashi said
"Aiko, stand up." Hiashi said in his clan head voice causing Aiko to bury herself in Shintaro's chest
"Aiko!"
"Hiashi that's enough!"
"Young lady if you do-"
"Piss off old man." Shintaro said darkly to Hiashi personally surprising everyone there
"What did you say boy?" Hiashi asked dangerously
"I said..." Shintaro said turning a battle hardened gaze at Hiashi.
"Piss off old man." Shintaro said clenching his fist cracking his knuckles doing his best to suppress his rage.
Everyone there was surprised to see this reaction from Shintaro who mainly keeps his cool lose it for a girl he's barely known for less than a day...at least to their knowledge anyways. Naruto, Fu, and Suigetsu backed off a bit knowing how dangerous Shintaro could be when angered like this. Kushina, and Hitomi were about to say something to try and calm him down when suddenly he spoke.
"I had a sister once." Shintaro said turning his gaze to Aiko silencing everyone there rubbing Aiko's head gently
"She acted just like her, always reckless, getting into trouble, and hardly ever listened to a word anyone said. Whenever she got into trouble it was with a smile, she always was sorry, but kept doing stupid things endangering herself knowing the risks. Whenever I or anyone would ask why she kept doing those things she would always say "I want to get stronger in any possible. If I get stronger, then people would stop worrying about me." and would always smile rubbing the back of her head. When we left the village, and were hunted down like dogs she'd always get scared, but put on a brave face for my sake." Shintaro said remembering how she'd act in the past before letting an awkward silence pass.
"She's gone now..." Shintaro said in a somber tone shocking everyone there
"...and it was my fault...we were found out by the people hunting us down. They were mainly bandits that time, and we were just a bunch of kids. But I was the only one with combat experience enough to handle them. There were 40 of them along with a single ninja must've been chunin level, and I was only 6 at the time...40 bandits and a ninja against one kid, Kami must've really had it out for us."
"I managed to fend them off...or so I thought. About 3 or 4 got through when I thought I finished them off, and made their way to the rest of them while I was occupied. The others were scared out of their mind, and barely knew how to defend themselves or were to weak to do so, by the time I realized they were gone it was too late. My sister, the reckless idiot she was, and a friend of mine lured one of them away to a waterfall.
"They somehow manage to lead him off only to trip themselves off the waterfall, I saw them and dove in to save them. I grabbed both their hands burying my feet into the water, using my chakra as an anchor to try pull them up. I was so focused on saving them I didn't realize the one ninja in the group was coming at us. He threw two kunai at my left arm...the arm holding my sister. I still held on, but the ninja persisted in taking me down repeatedly throwing shuriken and kunai in my back, legs, and other arm due to him being extremely low on chakra."
"Despite the pain I felt I held on no matter what, I wasn't going to let me people I care about die in front of me, not while I still breathed. Deciding he had enough the ninja came at me full force trying to kill me right then and there. He grabbed a kunai at proceeded to slash at me only getting one good shot in...my eye." Shintaro said raising a hand to touch his scar
"Losing strength from blood loss I pulled the last of my strength to bite his hand hard. I used my momentum to swing my body in the direction of the edge of the waterfall tossing him off. And just when I thought it was all over the bastard pulled off a wind style ninjutsu to my left arm dislocating it in the process...causing me to lose my grip on my sister. The second I realize it I do my best to turn around only to see my sister falling to her death...only unlike most people she knew what was happening. She saw me struggling to keep her alive, and when I lost my grip on her trying to turn to see her my sister did something I'd never expect she'd do...she smiled at me. She smiled a weak smile at me and only mouthed the word "Sorry" to me before disappearing from my sight."
"I quickly pulled my friend to safety on solid land, but the pain by that point caused me to black out. If it wasn't for my healing factor I would've died right then and there...but I didn't. We searched and searched, but could never find her." Shintaro said while pulling Aiko away so he could look at her
"The second I saw Aiko I was immediately reminded of my sister, and that prompted something inside of me to re-awaken. Sure, she's reckless, she can get out of hand, she can even drive you insane sometimes, but that's Aiko being herself living her life the best of her ability. The fact alone that you're trying to change who she is just so you can mold her into something she's not for the purpose of preserving your image, to keep outdated traditions in your clan...boils my blood to a degree you can't even imagine, and is also one of the reason I despise clans that abuse hierarchies to keep themselves in power." Shintaro said angrily but keeping his KI levels nonexistent
"Yet, despite this, despite everything I just said right now probably means nothing to you. Just keep this in mind, there's a special place in hell for people who try to destroy the innocence of their own children for their own meticulous purpose, though given who you are I suppose that will be fine so long as you succeed in creating a clan head to your liking." Shintaro said coldly to Hiashi glaring daggers at him before turning to Aiko raising her head so her eyes met his.
"Aiko, what you did was dangerous and stupid, you could've not only gotten yourself hurt, but others as well. However, you didn't mean any harm to anyone by it. I'm sure your mother is very worried about you, and your father...well you know. It's not a bad thing to have fun, but there is a limit on what you can do right now. Later on in life there will be people trying to put you down for it trying to change you just because "it's for the best" and in time you will need to mature. But as you're going through life always remember this. Never change you who are inside just to please everyone you meet. Got it?" Shintaro said in a lighthearted big brother tone to the tear stricken Aiko who wiped her eyes showing a determined smile on her face
"You got it! My dream is to become Clan Head one day. I'm gonna be the best Hyuuga clan head ever, and I'm gonna do it my way! I'm gonna master the Hyuuga Gentle Fist style in no time flat, and I'm gonna be the best one there ever was! Once I become clan head I'll prove the Hyuuga are the best, and can do so without being boring sticks in the mud, believe it!" Aiko said with a new confidence raising her fists in the air with a fire in her eyes.
"Hmph, same as ever." Shintaro thought to himself as he stood up
"I have work to do elsewhere, I'll be back later. It shouldn't take longer than 10-15 minutes maybe less so until then, later." Shintaro said neutrally as he disappeared in a flash before Kushina or anyone could say anything.
Hiashi while this was going on listened to Shintaro's story if only to be not ripped to shreds by his hormone induced pregnant wife, and the only other woman that terrified him back in the academy. He kept a neutral look on his face entire time while looking at his quivering daughter holding onto Shintaro as if he were a life preserve in the middle in of the ocean.
While he did feel some sympathy for the boy he was no doubt impressed that someone as young as him was able to fend off a large amount of bandits along with a ninja, a chunin as well no less, while defending those close to him. What really impressed him was the fact Shintaro was able to take so much punishment at such a young age.
Some words however hit closer to home than others, but he ignored them for now further proving Shintaro's opinion of him. However, whatever Hiashi felt of the boy his opinion of him again changed when Shintaro turned his attention to Aiko. The fact that Shintaro lectured Aiko on how dangerous it was for her to act reckless while not having her fear him was astounding...to Hiashi anyways. He also appreciated the fact his little speech fired up Aiko to become a great clan head...even though she wanted to do it her way, but at least she was motivated.
Meanwhile, while Hitomi was hearing Shintaro's story made her heart sink like a rock in water feeling the deepest amount of sympathy she was capable of. She knew then this boy held a deep sadness in his heart, as well as a rage when it comes to someone that acts like his former sister as well. She did think what the boy said to Hiashi was a bit too harsh, but understood where he was coming from. All Hitomi could do was listen as Shintaro told his story then moving on to her daughter for a lecture/pep speech.
She smiled at how he manage to relate his sister to her daughter giving her the same speech she would use herself to lecture her on why that was dangerous for Aiko to do...well, not the exact way, but close enough. If anything Hitomi was glad that what Shintaro said to her affected Aiko in a positive way wanting to be the "best Hyuuga clan head ever" even though she was going to do it her way. She was wondering how it would be appropriate to thank Shintaro now that her daughter is motivated to try harder.
Kushina on the other hand was more worried than ever about Shintaro. Kushina now figured that when the next time she saw Shintaro alone she was going to have a talk with him...although if what Kushina thought was true about Shintaro chances are he's not going to want to listen. Then again, Shintaro may not want to listen, but he had never met someone as persistent as the Red Hot Habenero and damn it all if she wasn't going to remind herself that she could get things done the old fashioned way.
Naruto, Fu, Suigetsu, and Hinata meanwhile were doing their best not to cry after hearing the fate Shintaro's sister. The latter failing completely, but all four quickly changed their mood once Shintaro talked to Aiko about how dangerous of what she did. Fu, and Suigetsu snickered at the fact Aiko called her clan elders "sticks in the mud" while Naruto was surprised to find that there's a Hyuuga out there capable of...having fun or even smiling like Aiko did.
Whenever Naruto saw someone they called a Hyuuga walk around the village they'd always have a boring look or permanent frown on their face, probably from the sticks in their butt like Aiko had said. But enough about that, everyone, the adults anyways, was now wondering where Aiko had gone in a blink of an eye.
"Aiko-sama?" Ko said gaining the attention of everyone
"She's gone again?" Hiashi asked
"Aiko-chan?" Hitomi asked getting out of her stupor
"Damn it come back here you brat!" Suigetsu yelled
"I said go left Naruto!" Fu said annoyed
"You try to grab her then!" Naruto retorted
"You can't catch me! You can't catch me!" Aiko laughed as she ran from the three children dodging their grabs
"Hey Fu! Suigetsu!" Naruto said getting their attention
"What!" they yelled annoyed in unison
"Do you guys know any cool jutsu stuff?" Naruto asked
"Idiot, why are you asking us now!?" Suigetsu said annoyed
"Well do you?" Naruto asked as he lept for Aiko who evaded his grasp
"I can turn into water...sometimes." Suigetsu grumbled causing Fu to snicker
"You know what I mean Moss Head!" Suigetsu yelled annoyed and slightly embarrassed
"Whatever, I can fly for a short time, but that's it." Fu said a little embarrassed as she attempted to grab Aiko who ducked her grab while spinning away from Suigetsu who crashed into Fu as they both fell on the floor
"Hey! Watch where you're going!"
"Then move out of the way!"
"Hey Fu, think you can grab that rope up there?" Naruto asked pointing to some dangling rope that was on top of some crates in a back corner.
"Yeah, why?" Fu asked confused
"Go get it, I got an idea." Naruto said with a devilish smirk while Fu shrugged heading towards the crates
"Should I be worried?" Hitomi asked Kushina
"I'm wondering why Ko hasn't intervened." Hiashi said looking at Ko who was sweating bullets until a hand pressed on his shoulders
"Because it's nice to see our children have so much fun don't you think?" Kushina said with a grin
"Kushina, are you sure it's ok after what just happened?" Hitomi asked worriedly
"Same old Hitomi, when it come's to yourself you could care less what happens, but when it comes to someone else you become the biggest worrywart in existence. Don't worry if things get out of hand we'll step in, besides I haven't seen Naruto get to play with his friends yet. I don't see any harm in it." Kushina said as she put her arm around Hitomi
"Besides, I think Hiashi should start to notice that the way Aiko is dodging is close to your clan's fighting style." Kushina as Hiashi raised an eyebrow to what Kushina said deciding to take a closer look when indeed Aiko was dodging the two boys like the way a Hyuuga would evade foes.
It was a bit sloppy that's for sure, but that was to be expected for someone as young as she was. Whenever he was training with Aiko she'd never manage to get it down properly, sometimes she was worse than her elder sister, but again no one expected much from her age. But what Hiashi was seeing in front of him was his daughter making use of the Hyuuga style to evade capture from those trying to grab her, granted they were immature children, but progress was progress.
"Alright, I got it!" Fu said jumping down from the crates.
"Ok, time to put this plan into the works." Naruto said confidently
"Whatever you dummies are thinking it's not gonna work!" Aiko teased with her tongue sticking out
"Suigetsu, turn into water over there!" Naruto said pointing to the floor
"Ok?" Suigetsu said confused
"Just do it fish boy!" Fu said annoyed
"Fine!" Suigetsu retorted as he moved to the spot where Naruto pointed doing his best to focus his chakra on his kekkei genkai
"Hey Hinata!" Naruto said getting the attention of the shy stuttering girl hiding behind her mother
"Y-Yes, Naruto-kun?" Hinata stuttered shyly while blushing slightly
"Can you come over here and help?" Naruto asked
"M-Me? I-I d-don't know." Hinata said quietly twiddling her fingers
"Just be ready ok!?" Naruto said saying yes for Hinata who looked confused but nodded
"Fu, get behind Suigetsu! Bring the rope to!" Naruto said
"Ok, ok. It's kind of hard to move with this thing." Fu said struggling to carry the rope
"Let's hope this works." Naruto muttered to himself as he reached into his pockets
"Hey Aiko!" Naruto said in a sing songy voice
"Yeah, Naruto?" Aiko said still running around
"Look what I've got!" Naruto teased while pulling out some candy from his pocket that Honoka gave him from her stash
"Thank you Honoka-nee!"
"Candy..." Aiko said as her eyes got bigger than dinner plates drooling over the sweets stopping dead in her tracks as her stomach growled
"You want it?" Naruto said moving the candy up and down while Aiko followed its every movement nodding vigorously
"Go get it!" Naruto said throwing the candy towards Suigetsu who was still focusing on his bloodline as Aiko raced towards him without thinking
"Suigetsu, do it!" Naruto said running as fast as he could so he could get to Fu
"OK!" Suigetsu said as he turned into a puddle
"Fu, grab one side of the rope, and move to the side." Naruto said as Fu suddenly understood what Naruto was trying to do
"Got it Naruto!" Fu said as she dropped the rope picking up only one side
As the blonde, and Hyuuga were racing against each other Naruto got there first picking up the other side of the rope running against Fu as the rope tightened as the two children were pulling their side of the rope.
"Oh Kami my face!" Suigetsu said as he was doing his best to turn back into human
"Pull!" Naruto said as Fu nodded
Still focusing on the candy Aiko jumped up to grab it with her hands only to land on the puddle that was Suigetsu slipping in the process then tripping on the rope being launched into the air as Aiko headed towards her sister for a landing
"Watch out nechan!" Aiko said as she crashed into her older sister who grunted as she barely caught her
"A-Aiko-chan, a-are you o-ok?" Hinata asked her sister who simply smiled as she ripped into her candy nodding her head yes in reply
"Aiko-sama, Hinata-sama!" Ko said as he was about to check on the two heirs before being stopped by...Hiashi?
"H-Hiashi-sama?" Ko asked nervously who only shook his head
"Aiko, Hinata." Hiashi said getting the attention of his daughters
"Hiashi." Hitomi said cautiously
"Relax dear." Hiashi said as he walked toward his daughters
"Aiko." Hiashi said straightening up his daughters
"Y-Yes, father?" Aiko said a little nervous
"Tell me, do still plan on mastering the Hyuuga's Gentle Fist style in and I repeat "in no time flat" or was that just a burst of excitement that caused you to speak nonsense?" Hiashi said neutrally to his daughter while everyone in was in silence watching this play out
"Well..." Aiko said nervously looking down for a few minutes of painful silence until she shook her head showing Hiashi a determined look standing up looking him in the eye
"Yes daddy I do! I'm gonna be better at our Gentle Fist style than anyone ever was! Even if you don't help me I'll figure it out somehow, I'll ask mommy for help or Ko, or grandpa, or someone from the cadet branch if I have to! Then once I'm strong like you, no stronger than you I'm gonna show everyone that the Hyuuga are not only the best in the village, but I'm gonna do it so I'm still me when I'm clan head!" Aiko said in a determined voice standing her ground while everyone was surprised by the outburst.
"Well well, never thought someone from the Hyuuga clan, much less Hiashi's own kid would have the guts to speak against the Hyuuga clan head. But I guess that's to be expected if its Hitomi's child, actually she reminds me of Hitomi when in her rebellious phase. Although, Hitomi didn't hit hers until her teen years with Mikoto, and I. Aiko on the other hand, seems to be rebellious out of the gate. Hiashi's gonna have his hands full later on if Aiko keeps this up in her teenage years." Kushina thought to herself chuckling a bit
"Aiko-chan, I never knew you had such a strong spirit. You always whined, groaned and complained before, but never in front of your father; and if you did you immediately apologized scared as a mouse. Now you're standing up to your father in order to prove how far your willing to go. All this happened probably because of what Shintaro said to her boosting her confidence to a high degree." Hitomi thought to herself
"A-Aiko-chan? W-What a-are you d-doing? Otou-san g-gonna yell at you." Hinata thought to herself petrified for her sister
"Oh, crap! What did I just do!? Dad's gonna kill me after I talked to him like that! Oh, screw it! I'm going in all the way!" Aiko thought to herself
"So, you're willing to become stronger even if it means asking for help from the cadet branch?" Hiashi asked with a raised eyebrow
"Yeah! Neji-oniisan is pretty good so I'll ask him to spar with me every chance I get! You said it yourself daddy, Neji-oniisan is awesome at what we do." Aiko said
"Though not in my words you are correct in my assessment of Neji. He's progressing at a faster rate than you two that's for sure. Though he is your elder so he has had more time to practice the Gentle Fist Style, but that does not give you two an excuse to fall behind him." Hiashi said looking at his two daughters with Hinata flinching in fear a bit
"So tell me, how far are you willing to go in your training Aiko?" Hiashi said
"I'm gonna train till I drop that's what! Then when I'm better I'm gonna train some more! And I'm gonna keep doing it till I'm better than you." Aiko said with a confident grin while Hiashi was studying her every move
"I see, that's what I expect from someone who wants to become Clan Head. I was right to choose you Aiko, but I do wonder how you're going to become clan head if you waste your energy, and time with these games." Hiashi said causing a twitch in Aiko's eye
"That's because they're fun! Something the Hyuuga clan needs to learn, even if everyone is against me I'll teach the Hyuuga that we can be the best, and can live out normal lives. Everyone thinks were boring, snobby, emotionless freaks, and I'm sick of it! So I'm going to continue playing these games while using what I learned from you daddy, I mean it was only because of what you taught me that I kept dodging them. Even if they did cheat I'd still manage to run circles around them." Aiko said pouting at Naruto who merely stuck his tongue at her.
"Even so, after all this do you still plan on becoming clan head while still being true to yourself?" Hiashi said raising his tone a bit
"Yes, yes I do daddy!"
"It'll be hard, nearly impossible."
"I don't care I'll still do it!" Aiko said nearly yelling
"Many hardships will come."
"Bring em on I ain't scared!" Aiko said jumping up and down punching the air
"Do plan to go back on your word on this?"
"Heck no! I, Aiko Hyuuga will be the best Gentle Fist style user ever! This I swear, believe it!" Aiko said with a roaring passion and a bright fire in her eyes
"I see, then as of today I will be personally be handling your training on a more regular basis, and I'll have Neji as your new sparring partner as well." Hiashi said with a neutral look trying to resist a proud smile on his face while Aiko was a bit...confused
"Huh?" Aiko said as her passion was halted to a stop
"It seems you have taken more interest in becoming clan head than your sister." Hiashi said looking at Hinata who didn't meet her father's gaze
"Hiashi!" Hitomi said finally stepping into the conversation
"You've seen how devoted our daughter is to become clan head, while our firstborn has done nothing to indicate anything of the sort. Would you want to deny Aiko of her wish?" Hiashi said
"Hiashi, that's not fair." Kushina said now stepping into the conversation
"As much as it pains me to do so I must admit Shintaro is right. The Hyuuga clan for a long time has kept its traditions since before the founding of Konohagakure, it is because of those traditions that my brother as well his son has been made to suffer in more ways than one even causing their death." Hiashi said in a slightly angered voice
"Hiashi, you don't mean Hizashi's?" Kushina asked worried
"Dead? Yes Kushina, Hizashi is dead, and has been for two years now." Hiashi interrupted
"I'm not going into details about, not yet anyways in front of the children." Hiashi said while Kushina nodded while noticing Hitomi's sad expression on her face as well as her daughters
"I have debated for a time of whether or not to bring change to the Hyuuga clan the way it is, but even I know that is impossible...for me anyways. I have never seen a Hyuuga this young wanting to become a clan head while seeing what needs to be changed about it. The Elders are fools trying to keep meaningless, and more importantly like that Shintaro boy said outdated traditions that have kept us in the past, but as clan head it is my duty to uphold these traditions. That is, until the next clan head arrives of course." Hiashi said looking at Aiko
"You mean me? But what about nēchan daddy?" Aiko asked a little sad
"In order to change to anything you need to put effort into it, have the skill to do so, but you also need motivation as well. Hinata has yet to show me either of those three I mentioned. She may participate in your sparring matches, but constantly holds back her punches while you exert full force in your effort. You're slow to learn, fail often, refuse to listen to instruction at times, but at least when you fall you try with all your might to get back up. You have far more stamina outlasting your sister, and multiple cadet members always wanting to go further improving yourself on a daily basis...whenever you're not being chased around for your enjoyment that is." Hiashi said while Aiko nervously chuckled
"So, does that mean I can skip the boring meetings daddy?"
"No Aiko, it does not. You're still a Hyuuga and the Hyuuga, all of them, know proper etiquette, manners, and how to behave properly when in front of those they must respect. I may not agree with all the Hyuuga clan's traditions, but this is one that I fully intend to teach you." Hiashi said while Aiko sulked
"Sorry Aiko-chan, but on this matter I agree with your father." Hitomi said as Aiko continued to sulk into a deep depression
"I have discussed these matters enough as it is. I have made my decision on this as clan head, and until something significant comes up it will stay this way. I have what I came here for, and there is not much time until the meeting that you have called us for." Hiashi said looking at Kushina
"I have no idea where that Shintaro boy is or when he gets back, but I suppose it's thanks to him for releasing such a strong spirit in my daughter. Though I wish his words would inspire my eldest as it did you Aiko." Hiashi said neutrally while Hinata and Aiko suddenly looked at each other exchanging sad looks before looking down.
"Then why don't you give her some inspirational words then old man?" a familiar voice said causing Hiashi's eye to twitch
"You're back from whatever business you had to attend to I presume?" Hiashi said in annoyance
"Miss me that much did ya?" Shintaro asked mockingly walking behind everyone.
"Shintaro!" the three kids yelled in excitement as they charged at him
"Hold up, Hold up! You're gonna-" Shintaro said as the kids ran at him tripping over each other
"Crash." Shintaro said sweat dropping as he put down what he was carrying
While this was happening Kushina decided to look at what Shintaro put down noticing it was a few books. She also noticed that Shintaro had his sword strapped to his back like the clone she encountered back in the forest. What really caught her attention was the title of one of those books.
"War Hero's and Villains of Konoha 3rd Rendition? Why would he want to learn ab-wait what's that book underneath?" Kushina thought to herself as she tried to get a better look until her eye's widen at the title.
"Complete History on The Fallen!? Why would Shintaro be interested in them of all things? Unless..."
"Hey Shintaro, what book is that?" Fu asked
"Oh, just some books on history that's all. I'm just curious about a certain group that played a role in all 3 Shinobi War's that's all." Shintaro said passively
"Sounds boring." Suigetsu said
"Oh really? Not even when this group took on the original Seven Ninja Swordsman themselves?" Shintaro said piquing Suigetsu's interest
"Yeah right, like anyone's that strong." Suigetsu said pretending he didn't care
"They've also manage to hold back every Kage from every Great Nation here. This group is probably known for their more famous battles including going up against the 2nd Tscuhikage, the 3rd Raikage, the 2nd Mizukage, the 1st-3rd Kazekage and even all 4 Hokage's." Shintaro said as all three children there were now greatly interested which was obvious in their eyes
"Really? There's someone that powerful?" Fu asked
"They went up against all of those Kage?" Suigetsu asked in disbelief almost intimidated
"Who!? Who!? I wanna know, I wanna know!" Naruto said with excitement jumping up and down
"They were known as the Fallen." Kushina said giving her son the answer
"The Fallen?" Naruto asked for conformation
"Indeed, a group of shinobi that were feared and renown throughout each of the 5 Great Nations. They feared no one, and had many followers in each village." Hitomi said explaining who they were
"They also interfered with matters that weren't their concern." Hiashi said irritated
"What Hiashi means is that they hated war, and did everything in their power to end them as soon as possible. They did everything from peaceful negotiations to all out battles to protect neutral lands that were used as battle grounds from the warring nations...including Konoha." Kushina said confusing the children except Shintaro
"So, they were enemies?" Naruto asked
"Well, yes and no. It's kinda complicated." Kushina said rubbing her head
"They indeed fight against the Leaf, but they also helped out the Leaf a number of times." Hitomi clarified
"Like how they refused to let us take control of a village that would've given us a strategic advantage." Hiashi said irritated
"But, that was because the village had stayed out of the war for so long, and they wanted to keep it that way. So, they agreed to handle whatever your squad was trying to do at the time. They did so in a matter of hours so that the village would be left in peace." Kushina said hiding a smile knowing that Hiashi didn't approve of being outdone.
"Ah yes, the Infiltration of Ogre Pass. That was done in...(opens book flipping through pages) 2 hours, and 12 minutes. The mission: To set up an outpost at a nearby village for the purpose of intercepting a political prisoner Iwa ninjas were escorting to their home village. The mission was led by the following members: Tsume Inuzuka, Shibi Aburame, Tenshi Uchiha, and Hiashi Hyuuga acting as squad leader. The mission was completed with no casualties, but was done so with outside help due to interference from The Fallen. The Fallen member involved with the incident was Jiyū Senpu, the leader of The Fallen at the time." Shintaro said as he read from the book
"Yes, Jiyū always had a knack for interfering with missions. He also seemed keen on making a fool out of me every chance he had." Hiashi said out of annoyance
"Yes, father always managed to make light of any situation he was in." Shintaro said absentmindedly causing confusion from Hiashi and Hitomi, but shock from Kushina
"What are you talking about boy?" Hiashi asked
"Oh, that's right I didn't properly first greet you two." Shintaro said as he picked up his books
"Hello, my name is Shintaro Senpu, the first son in my father's family line, and the only survivor as well." Shintaro said as he politely bowed before shushinning behind everyone to the hallway
"I'd love to stay and chat...well not really, but that's besides the point. I'm going to my room so that I can later learn more about my father's legacy, ciao." Shintaro said not looking behind him waving everyone off.
"Lies, lies, and more lies...sooner or later I'm going to have to tell them the truth about me. Then again, I'm not entirely lying considering who Jiyū really is...we have a lot more in common than they know." Shintaro thought to himself as he entered his room closing and locking the door behind him.
