A/N #1: Everyone, I'm SOOOOOO sorry that this came out late as it is now as well as the length of this chapter. College finals have been a major pain in my ass last week, and will continue to be next week affecting my writing brain to no degree which is why this chapter is shorter than the others. However, I will still try my best to upload as soon as I can. Thank you for understanding.
A/N #2: Also, for those of you thinking I forgot about Wrath from the earlier chapters think again. Remember how I said I wouldn't make it such a big deal just to explain a few things? Well, this intro to the chapter as well as the chapter itself will dive both into the confrontation of the villains, the people behind this, and much much more. Enjoy.
There is a code to which a certain society lives by, a code on which they enforce for humans. This society was in control of many, many worlds when occupied by humans. Until those humans rebelled causing the deaths of many, many lives. This code is taught to those who protect their society.
This is that code.
The Code of Human Principle
For every life that is born into a world by Humans, another is taken from Death.
For every good deed done by one Human, it has been cancelled out by an evil act by another Human.
When one Human chooses to go left, another chooses to go right.
When Humans choose something of their own will, others are forced into something they don't.
Humans choose how to live, what to feel, who to love, who to hate, who to kill, what to eat at basic instinct or human nature.
Humans also don't choose to question as to why they truly live because that is something that they need to discover on their own.
For every Yin, there's a Yang.
Every choice has a consequence.
No Human is perfect or can become perfect.
All Humans are flawed indefinitely.
For all Humans make a choice on everything to make their lives easier on themselves.
Happiness or Unhappiness?
Love or Hatred?
Light or Darkness?
Good or Evil?
Life or Death?
Such things are irrelevant in the end for all mortals….at least to those who are not human, those who have passed such shackles, and have moved on to greater heights.
This is the will, and doctrine of the Tagen uchū no seinaru kami : Holy Deities of the Multiverse. For they watch over all worlds, and the worlds they create to ensure balance within every multiverse.
They have taken it upon themselves to watch over the multiverses, and all parallel worlds along with their eternal mysteries hidden within every multiverse with their Eitodibain shōgun: Eight Divine Generals: Pride, Lust, Greed, Vanity, Violence, Melancholy, Sloth, and Wrath. All who have opposed them in the War of All Creation have met with one of two fates: Ultimate Purgatory: waiting in a numbness hell until the end of all things or Eternal Enslavement: never dying, and never to rise again to their former glory stripping them of their once beautiful forms, and turning them into hideous figures. Those who have been banished to Purgatory are called The Fallen.
Those however, who have been turned into slaves are either foot soldiers ( or more accurately cannon fodder) for war, personal servants for the Generals, or act as guides for the Enforcers for when they need to travel to one world to another. However there are a number of those who have escaped those two fates called Hametsu no ikyōto: Infidels of Ruin hiding away in one of the many worlds a multiverse produces in the ancient pieces of relics lost in the war causing whatever pain, and misery they can.
So to properly defend those helpless against who inhabit the relics the Eight Divine Generals have a contest every millennium to find a champion of their own to protect their multiverse from these Hametsu no ikyōto. Now it is time to once again to chose a Hōrīenfōsa: Holy Enforcer to hunt down the Hametsu no ikyōto. We now focus on the meeting between the Eight Divine Generals as to who their future champion shall be, and where it shall take place within the multiverse.
It's a giant ballroom with many ceremonial decorations that belong in heaven cover the inner walls of the room that only held one wooden table with eight dusty seats to hold some very important people the Eight Divine Mantra Generals of the Multiverse, though their figures were merely shadows due to the power bill of this place (even high ranking generals have bills to pay). However, that was to be expected considering meeting place this time was in Sloth' domain, someone who never bothered with doing anything productive.
Unknown Location, Unknown Time, Unknown Date, Unknown reality.
"My my, is it that time already? Long time no see everybody, how come we don't get together like this anymore?" a lustrous female voice said the shadows covering everything but her seductive smile on her face.
"Because none of us want to destroy another multiverse over you Lust. Besides this is a time of importance not for you to catch some more men or women." a smooth voice said calmly, yet annoyed at the same time
"HAHAHAHAHA! Oh, come on! That was fun, we haven't a huge battle like that in ages! Not to mention I'd never had sex like that in forever. You need to loosen up Mel, or I'm sorry Melancholy." a loud and boisterous voice said pumping his exposed various war tattooed, scarred chest to everyone.
"That's probably why you damn war mongrel, you can't always get what you want Violence." a new slick voice said annoyingly
"That's funny coming from you Greed, last time I checked you tried to hog all the women on that planet we discovered a century ago just because they didn't have a single man on there." a large deep lazy voice said slowly as it yawned while slightly chuckling to himself
"Hehehehe, and what about you Sloth? If you had the energy you would jump at the chance to be with just one woman. Hehehehe." a high pitched voice said with glee
"Tch! What's with all this annoying talking? I thought we came here to find a new Enforcer." a new voice said angrily snorting at the small talk his brethren were making
"For once I agree with the brute which says a lot about you, my fellow Generals. Now let's get onto business; Wrath isn't it your turn to first pick a potential candidate? I think you've waited long enough since your banishment from the competition." a new voice said with superiority
"Yeah, I have. What about it Pride?" Wrath said annoyingly
"He means have you picked one already you mindless brute." Melancholy said with equal annoyance
"Mind your own business you emotionless nobody. I knew what he meant, I was checking if your nosy hide was going to but in. Which it did." Wrath said glaring hard at Melancholy through the shadows who merely glared back with an equal amount of intensity
"Oooh, a fight! Alright, lets get started! Come on I'm just itching for one!" Violence said anxiously sitting up from his chair about to draw his sword.
"That's enough Violence, and that go's for you two as well." Pride said in a commanding tone making Violence sit down reluctantly
"Party pooper." Violence said mildly pouting
"Oooh, Wrath's our starter? This should be interesting. How does it feel to be able to finally pick someone after being forbidden after your last one failed miserably, and nearly destroyed her own multiverse?" Vanity said showing his jagged teeth with the wicked grin on his pale crusty face.
"Now that one knew how to fight, oh such a waste to kill off someone with so much talent for destruction. Not to mention she had tits for days." Violence said remembering the fight he had with Wrath's last successor.
"Which is exactly why she had to be put down." Melancholy said plainly
"I suggest you shut your mouths before I render you speechless the hard way." Wrath said darkly tightening his fist.
"That's enough!" Pride said loudly in a commanding tone once again.
"Oh, Pridey-coo there's no need to get hostile with them." Lust said in a playful voice
"Agreed, you do know you're no more or less powerful than any of us don't you? You just act this way because you like to be in power." Vanity said with a smug smile
"Can we please get this over with? My 1,000th wife is going to be waiting at the altar pretty soon, and I'd rather not keep her waiting any longer than she has too." Greed said checking his watch.
"Oh my, you've found another one already? You never stop do you?" Lust said smiling away knowing the answer.
"Not until the day I die, which won't be for about another thousand millennium or two." Greed said pleased with himself
"Can we get on with this or what?" Wrath said angrily annoyed.
"Temper temper. You don't want to be banished again already do you? " Lust said teasingly waving her finger as if scolding a child
"Have you chosen a candidate or not?" Pride interrupted impatiently
"I have chosen one, and I'm certain he will not disappoint me." Wrath said ironically with a bit of pride in his tone.
"Oh, already? My my you're a quick one aren't you? What makes you so certain that this one will be any different?" Vanity asked with curiosity
"Because he has already unlocked the first level of my power that comes with my seal. In only a matter of weeks of receiving it, he has already learned the basics of interplanetary travel. And within a year he's already shown to be talented enough to become an Enforcer." Wrath said allowing himself a smug smile apart from his usual scowl that was usually cemented on his face gaining the interest of everyone there trying to contemplate how this starter for Wrath managed to learn what takes most mortals decades to master.
"Oooh, now I'm interested. Who is it? A giant hellbent on destruction, a king that has lost everything, a scholar who wishes to know everything, is he even a mortal, oh the possibilities! So tell me who is it? I'm dying to know!" Violence asked anxiously
"It is a human child." Wrath said plainly taking in the shocked expression of his fellow Generals leaving Greed to be the first to speak
"A child!? Much less a human child! Wrath I know you've lost your touch when it comes to these things, but-"
"Have you gone insane!? A child much less a human child doesn't have what it takes to become an Enforcer. They always let their emotions get the better of them." Melancholy protested
"Which is part of the reason why I chose "this" particular human, and the other is that I haven't seen another human like him that has "willingly" accepted this offer "knowing" what may happen in the future to him." Wrath explained for once calmly again enjoying the shocked reaction from his fellow generals except for Violence who seemed to be enjoying every bit of information that hit his ears
"Maybe he hasn't lost his touch after all. If he truly told this child everything, and still joined without hesitation then my money's on him. Alas, I have to find someone else who might be as willing to join up as this kid." Violence said with disdain
"So, do we get to see the little tyke or what? Because I'd like to get started on my search as it is. Who knows, maybe he'll be a cutie. Have you decided the trend on which we look for our new Enforcer?" Lust asked wondering what it'll be this year
"In honor of my choosing this time I only saw fit that we base this millenia's Enforcer based on humanity's Seven Deadly Sins meaning one of you will have to back down this time." Wrath said amusingly
"Very well then, I shall leave this contest to the rest of you." Melancholy said sitting up from his chair surprising nearly everyone there
"Backing off already? You're not scared are you?" Violence mocked
"Hardly, there's a rebellion occurring in multiverse Epsilon in the parallel worlds of 23A-23D that needs my attention, and not participating in this contest is a small sacrifice for the greater good." Melancholy explained
"A rebellion? You mean to tell me there's a giant war going on without me knowing? Ridiculous! Take my place instead I insist! I've been bored for centuries now, and a interplanetary rebellion is just the thing to get my blood flowing again." Violence protested strongly
"This rebellion includes those who have opposed us that have obtained pieces of a relic nearly completing it." Melancholy explained dreary making the situation all the more serious
"Even more so! You know I'm the most resistant to those old weapons, and that I always just choose whoever I think is worthy based on a drinking game. So there's really no point to me participating this time." Violence said desperately wanting to go
"Very well, I shall participate this time if you guarantee that you'll put an end to this rebellion quickly." Melancholy said seriously
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Well, I'm off. Here's to you Wrath for picking someone worthwhile this time, and here's hoping I don't kill your prodigy again. HAHAHAHAHA!" Violence said as his laughter faded away as he disappeared to his next destination
"So, can we see who you've chosen already? I'm getting chills all over?" Vanity said eagerly
"Yes, I'm eager as to see what makes this human so special to you." Pride said with curiosity and a hint of disgust from his major contempt for humans
"Just which multiverse did you pluck this kid from anyways?" Greed asked
"I chose him from multiverse Delta from world 3A, the worlds founded upon destruction, and their main life force is this "chakra" that capable of much wanton destruction. I was watching a regular war from them going on when this child's actions caught my attention. As of now he is currently out of his birth world, and out into a different time in a different world that is similar to his own. Though, I do wonder what he's up to now." Wrath said opening a visual portal to his future protege for the rest of them to see.
Present day, Land of Rice Paddies
"Get out of the way! Let us through!" Shintaro yelled pushing his way through an onlooking crowd
Finally pushing his way through the many pedestrians Shintaro along with Aki and Rei plus the Konoha trio managed to see what was causing all of this to happen. It was a tragic sight for sure, and one not for the light hearted either which proved as many of the onlookers left in tears or in shock of what was in front of them.
What was in front of them were 3 adults, 2 men and 1 woman, one male teenager, and a young child in the teen's arms.
One of the men was dark-skinned, bald with large eyebrows, and his arms hung and spread out like spider limbs. Half of his face was wrapped in bloody bandages, was wearing a torn sleeveless vest revealing his bandaged covered chest as well, and had dark green pants for leggings.
The other man was postured straight, but leaning forward on his knees out of fatigue from his long journey. He had short, but smooth black hair that reached his neck to go along with his eyes that matched his hair. He was wearing a bloodied brown shirt with a diagonal slash across it revealing a grey undershirt beneath it, and had grey pants covering his weary legs. His only yet obvious weapon was what appeared to be a large pair of scissors attached to his arm like pincers.
The woman looked unhappy to say the least in her current situation, but still managed to look pretty doing so despite the bruises all over her body. Her black hair was long, cut hime-style, but that was only thing princess wise about her looks. She wore a camouflage scarf over a pale-green vest that fitted her form leaving it open so that her cleavage and stomach was shown to everyone looking at her, and she was also wearing a camouflage skirt held by a black belt.
Lastly the two children mainly the teen was covered in dirt, and blood with tears along his clothing doing his best to shield the little girl he was carrying in his arms.
The teen had long smooth purple hair that reached down to his chin ,and his bangs hung just barely over his eyebrows with specks of blood in it sprinkled across his grey colored eyes. He was wearing a green short sleeve shirt, but the collar and sleeves were white over the black arm sleeves on his lower arms, and wore long grey pants.
Finally, the terrified girl trembling in the teens arms was wearing a purple sweatshirt with light purple shorts both surprisingly having the most amount of blood on her both on her clothing and body. Even her bright orange hair had trace amounts of blood from her family/friends spread out even on her face like raindrops. She was clutching onto a beanie like it was her life itself, and wouldn't stop quivering in the teen's arms.
"Scar. Pincer." Shintaro said in the minds of his comrades through his seal
"Yeah, Sh-I mean Kit?" Rei replied
"What is it?" Akihiko replied
"Rei, I want you to scan the area again with you bugs check for anyone that has developed chakra coils. I know you have bikachu beetles so use those for scouting purposes. Have them scout the area in a 5 mile radius for the next 3 hours, if they come up with anything let me know." Shintaro said
"Got it." Rei answered
"Scar, can you smell anything weird on those 5?" Shintaro ask
"Weird how?" Aki said confused telepathically
"Like snake-wise?" Shintaro clarified
"Hold up, let me check...no, not really. Why snake though?" Aki asked
"I'll explain later, but every now and then check them in case their scents change or anything snake-wise shows up. In the mean time just do a quick scan around the village while I stay here, I have a bad feeling about this." Shintaro said uneasy
"Got it, be back in 20." Aki said as he jumped on one of the rooftops
"Is there anyone named Kitsune here? Please, does anyone here know a man named Kitsune?" the teen pleaded
"Arashi quit it! We're drawing enough attention as it is." the woman said
"How do you expect us to find him then Kotohime? Hanzaki-sama said to find-"
"Hanzaki-sama is dead Arashi!" the man with scissors yelled
"Kamikiri, that's enough!" the bandaged man yelled
"Why Jigumo? If we don't move there's no telling when that glasses freak will catch up to us!" Kamikiri yelled back
"And if you two don't shut up I'll finish his job for him!" Kotohime said
"That's enough all of you!" Arashi yelled raising his killer intent unintentionally
"Hanzaki-sama left me in charge so if I say we look for Kitsune then that's what we're going to do! Is that clear?" Arashi said coldly with a glare like daggers
"Y-Yes, Arashi." Kamikiri said with his head down
"Thank you, now please does anyone here know someone named Kitsune?" Arashi asked again on his knees
"He left, went on an important mission sent from The Fallen themselves." Shintaro said confusing Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Itachi who merely stayed quiet and watched
Jiraiya confused as can be tried to say something before being interupted "Shintaro, what are you-"
"You know Kitsune?" Arashi said desperately
"Tall guy, deep voice, wears a fox mask?" Shintaro said knowing the answer
"Yes, that's him! Tell me, where is he? Please, I need to get to him." Arashi pleaded
"Like I said, he went out on a last minute mission, supposedly having to do with Kiri bounty hunters going after more kekkei genkai users. Said he be back tomorrow or the day after at the very most, told me to wait here until then. I'm guessing he meant you guys."
"I see, how do we know we can trust you?" Arashi said suspiciously
"Well, considering my family line founded The Fallen, there is that for what it's worth. Name's Shintaro, Shintaro Senpu son of Jiyu Senpu at your service." Shintaro said with a bow
"J-Jiyu Senpu?" Arashi said in surprise
"Isn't he the one who defended our clan from certain destruction against that Iwa raid?" Kotohime said in awe
"Huh, guess 'dad' got around a lot." Shintaro thought to himself mentally noting to catch up on this history of his "Father"
"Sure, I mean I don't know all of my old man's stories, but I'm sure he did whatever you just said."
"He did, and so much more. It's because of him that our clan is the dominant ninja clan in the Land of Rice Paddies."
"Was is more like it." Kamikiri muttered much to the Fuma members sadness
"Kamikiri that's enough. I'm sorry, but everyone's...distressed after what has happened today."
"Well, what happened?" Shintaro asked
"Shintaro, you mind telling us who these guys are?" Kakashi said butting into the conversation
"My apologies, my name is Arashi of the Fuma clan. The man with bandages over his face is Jigumo, the man next to him is Kamikiri, the woman behind me is Kotohime, and the child in my arms is my younger cousin, Sasame. We're...all that's left of the Fuma clan now." Arashi said with heavy heart
"All that's left? But they were fine when I left them earlier, what happened?" Shintaro thought to himself in shock while struggling to keep a straight face
"All that's left, but the Fuma clan is a renowned ninja clan in The Land of Rice Paddies. How can they be destroyed like that?" Jiraiya said in surprise
"And who are you?" Kamikiri asked in a hostile tone
"Easy, pal. I'm just trying to assess the situation here. You can trust me, I actually ran into Hanzaki on one of my uh...research trips. My name is Jiraiya."
"J-Jiraiya!? One of the Legendary Sannin!?" Kotohime said in awe
"The very same! Now please, explain to us what happened to you people." Jiraiya said in a nice tone but Kamikiri step back with his weapon ready causing everyone to be tense
"H-How can we trust you!? It's because of a Sannin we're in this mess!" Kamikiri yelled getting Jiraiya's attention
"A Sannin is responsible for this?" Itachi asked calmly
"Yeah, and if one Sannin is after us, who's to say the other's aren't?" Jigumo stated harshly
"Orochimaru is a traitor, I'm not a traitor, in fact I'm looking for my former teammate to...have a chat with him." Jiraiya worded carefully but in a tone that the Fuma clan members understood
"A-Arashi..." a quiet voice said
"Yes Sasame, what is it?"
"T-Tired...hungry...s-scared...the blood, it's everywhere. The screams... please...make it stop, make it stop." Sasame said quietly holding her hands over her ears desperately closing her eyes to avoid seeing her blood stained clothing
"Kami, she's just as bad as I was that day. Something must've-wait...they said Orochimaru did this, but I would've smelled him if he was near the place. Wait a minute, I did smell someone else there I didn't recognize there, and they also said that "glasses freak" earlier in the conversation. Could they be talking about...must be, it's the only explanation, and he's the only one I can think of that has the ability to wipe out an entire clan like that. Ok, new side objective, find, and expose that bastard Kabuto so at least Jiraiya can keep a look out for him."
"Sasame." Arashi said sadly bringing his cousin closer to him
"Ok, you guys obviously need help, and you have information we want. Tell you what, we'll fix you guys up, feed you, and protect you while you tell us everything that happened to your clan since it'll help our mission go faster." Shintaro said calmly
"Really, you'd do that for us?" Arashi asked surprised
"What's the catch?" Kamikiri asked cautiously
"Catch? I just told you the deal! You get to be safe from whatever "glasses freak" is chasing you, you tell us about him, and that's it. Or at least that's what I'm offering, they on the other hand is who you should be asking "What's the catch?" not me." Shintaro said pointing to the Konoha trio
"Woah, woah why are you pinning this on us?" Kakashi said defensively
"Don't know, maybe it's the fact that you're ninjas, and deception, lying, are kind of your thing. I'm not so I feel a bit better when I tell the truth." Shintaro retorted
"Hey man, that's harsh." Kakashi said mock hurt
"Such is the life of a ninja." Itachi said calmly
"Henceforth, why I'm not one. Anyhow, are you guys going to ask them for something other than what I offered them or not?"
"Of course not!" Jiraiya protested joyfully putting his arms around Itachi and Kakashi
"We would never take advantage of such poor individuals. On my name, and title as a Sannin, I, Jiraiya of Konohagakure pledge my service to protect you youngsters from whatever evil may plague your lives from here on out. I swear it! Isn't that right comrades?" Jiraiya boasted slapping the backs of his two teammates before tapping on them with a code secretly
"Play along, these guys have information we can use. Not to mention they're probably going to be targeted if their pursuer catches their trail again."
"If that's what Jiraiya-sama wishes then so be it." Itachi said stoically
"Uh yeah, what he said." Kakashi laughed nervously
"Then we agree, now let's go somewhere a bit more private. I think you've drawn enough attention as it is." Shintaro said
"And what can you do?" Kamikiri said sarcastically
"Excuse me?" Shintaro said
"I mean I felt safer when Jiraiya-sama offered us help. I-I don't mean to insult you Shintaro-san, but-"
"I getcha, I getcha. It's understandable considering what you guys went through." Shintaro said in acknowledgement
"I mean what can I do? I'm just a plain 10-year old boy. What could I have done in case someone came by?" Shintaro asked cynically walking past taking a kunai out of his pouch that a seal written on it.
"I mean, at my age all I'm expected do is throw a kunai, hope it hits the target dead on, and maybe mold some chakra into some basic jutsu or uses." Shintaro said as he picked up a rock the size of his fist tossing it up and down
"Well, this is what I have to say about those expectations..." Shintaro said as he walked a few more steps before he tossed the rock highly in the air throwing the kunai hitting the rock triggering the seals purpose on the kunai.
The rock looked like it was pulled into some sort of vortex until being disappeared completely until...
BOOOOOOOOM
The explosion was small, but the impact, shock wave of it blasted those near it off their feet while Shintaro merely stood there with bored looking eyes, but in reality had a giant smug grin on his face behind his mask.
"Fuck those expectations." Shintaro said as he walked back to the hotel
"W-What the hell was that?" Kamikiri asked shakily
Jiraiya dumbfounded by what just happened a flash of deja vu hit him "Shintaro was that..."
"A special kunai embedded with a very special seal similar to that of your Yondaime's Hiraishin, but with a more...touch of badassary in my opinion."
"How?..."
"When you study fuuinjutsu from the moment you can read, find this in your travels, specifically in an Iwagakure museum dedicated to hating the one who used this, and yes that exists, you learn a few things." Shintaro said as he took out a particular kunai that had Jiraiya, Kakashi turning wide eyed at while Itachi's curiosity of Shintaro grew even more larger.
"That's-"
"Minato Namikaze's trademark tri-prong kunai , the same kunai he used for the usage of his Hiraishin technique, here you can have it." Shintaro said throwing the kunai at Jiraiya's feet
"Shintaro...we have a lot to talk about." Jiraiya said seriously while Shintaro merely eye smiled at him
"Gladly, now let's get going. We're not going to get anything done out here." Shintaro said walking back into the hotel.
30 Minutes later
After waiting for Aki to report back after finding nothing as well as Rei's bugs turning out the same results, then finally everyone had settled into the hotel there was a lot of things to discuss. Right now Jiraiya was in a room with Shintaro talking about his...stunt earlier while everyone else was resting in another room.
"Ok Shintaro, if this was anyone else I would have you tied up, and have Itachi use his sharingan to drive information out of you. However, given you're a Senpu, much less Jiyu's kid I'm willing to listen to just how in the hell did you manage to create a seal derived from my student's trademark jutsu that won us the Third Great Ninja War? Much less from this alone." Jiraiya said holding the tri-prong kunai in front of Shintaro
"Well, as I said if you weren't dumbfounded by my awesomeness I found that particular kunai in Iwa." Shintaro said cockily
"Yes, I remember that, you also said it was in a museum dedicated to hating my student." Jiraiya deadpanned
"Well, that was a bit misleading." Shintaro joked
"You mean there isn't a museum like that?" Jiraiya said unsurprised
"Oh no there is, but what I meant to say is that it's dedicated to hating Konoha, and I found that particular piece in the Yellow Trash section, and no I am not making that up. The museum is actually hidden away in a section only Iwa citizens are allowed in, I only found it just by walking around the village in stealth mode." Shintaro chuckled while Jiraiya was figuring out whether or not he should be honored or insulted that there's an actual museum dedicated to hating all of Konoha including his student
"Oh, fun fact, they were trying to recreate the Hiraishin with that." Shintaro mentioned offhandedly as Jiraiya's eyes widen at that statement
"What!?" Jiraiya yelled in surprise
"Yeah, trying is the key word in that sentence. Their research department was trying to recreate the Hiraishin with that little bit of the seal that your Hokage wrapped around his signature kunai." Shintaro said pointing to the kunai
"Did they make any progress? How far did they get? Did they finish it?" Jiraiya asked urgently
"Not much, not very far, and no. Why? Because their sealing experts whatever good they are, are all dead." Shintaro said boringly
"Dead?" Jiraiya repeated
"You're welcome." Shintaro retorted
"You killed them?" Jiraiya said continuing to be surprised
"Do you want them to eventually find out something that could no doubt destroy Konoha that originated in Konoha?" Shintaro said sarcastically with a bored look
"No, but why did you kill them? You said you could've stayed in any of the 5 Great Nations, but you chose Konoha. Why?" Jiraiya asked
"Like I said, Konoha wasn't my first choice much less any of the 5 Great Nations, but eventually I caved in so I decided to do a lot of research on each of the 5 Great Nations including Konoha. After personally visiting them Konoha seemed to meet my criteria the most out of the 5." Shintaro said not hiding his annoyance
"I'm...honored, I guess. So, do they have any more of these kunai with them?" Jiraiya said seriously
"As far as I'm aware of no, that kunai was probably the only chance they had of being a threat to you in the future. At least as far as I know. However, just because they couldn't figure it out doesn't mean I couldn't, or at least in my own way." Shintaro said with pride
"What do you mean?" Jiraiya said trying to get more information
"You are aware of the seal I used to get us here correct?" Shintaro said
"You mean that seal on your upper back? What does that have to do with... you recreated the Hiraishin seal based of off this?" Jiraiya asked gripping the kunai
"Not so much recreated, more like a...re-imagining if you think about it. Similar to the original, but with my take on it. Oh, and if you're wondering about my Gyaku tokui sunpō kuchiku-kan (reverse singularity dimension destroyer) I drew inspiration from that as well.
"That's...quite a mouthful." Jiraiya said sweat dropping at the name
"If you prefer you could call it by its shorter name the H.S.S." Shintaro joked
"H.S.S?" Jiraiya repeated
"Holy Shit Seal. Because that's literally the first two words that came to mind when I saw the results of the seal I created. It's really amazing what you can come up with it you tweak with a transporting seal you make from scratch by reverse engineering another complicated seal from a slip of paper that's a decade or two old." Shintaro said fast not taking a break
"That's...probably a sentence I would never imagine hearing from a kid much less one that hasn't had any training...then again, you are Jiyu's kid. I mean that man manage to deduce how Minato formed his rasengan from looking at it, and asking questions about it as Minato was charging at him with it. I swear Jiyu almost never took anything seriously even if his life was on the line, but he was a hell of a lot of fun." Jiraiya chuckled
"I'm sure he was." Shintaro grumbled
"Oh, sorry about that." Jiraiya apologized
"It's fine, was that all you wanted to talk about?" Shintaro groaned
"No, I also wanted to talk about the fact a Kitsune managed to talk to you on the same day we were investigating Orochimaru. What did you tell him? What was he doing here that involved the Fuma clan?" Jiraiya said seriously
"A Kitsune? Was that a popular thing in The Fallen? Seems I should catch up on my reading. I also need to send that letter to The Fallen soon to back me up. If what I read last night was true then...that can wait, right now I need to give Jiraiya enough information to get him off my back." Shintaro thought to himself
"First off, why would he tell me what he was up to? Secondly, why should I tell you? You're a spy figure it out for yourself."
"Spies get their information through many different ways, this is just the politest way of getting that information." Jiraiya said calmly
"Uh huh, if your Hokage can't intimidate me then you can't either. Anyways, it doesn't matter all he told me was that he was investigating corruption in the Land of Rice Paddies with their Daimyo. We ran into each other at the Daimyo tower, and if you're going to ask why I was there it was to see if they had any records of suspicious cargo as of late. He was thinking of just flat out killing the Daimyo, but held off on it solely for the fact that there wasn't a decent replacement for the Daimyo yet so he let him live. Then a messenger hawk came by with an important message that required his attention which led to him asking a favor of me of letting any Fuma clan members come here in case of an emergency. Which hopefully you find this as such." Shintaro explained
"I do, and it's actually a relief he did so otherwise those kids would probably be dead, and we would never have gotten information about one of Orochimaru's subordinates." Jiraiya sighed
"Oh he's much more than that. And if things would've played out normally he would've been a bigger threat than you could imagine. Which is why he's on my list of people than need to die. Now, I wonder if I should prioritize those elders go first." Shintaro wondered to himself
"Well, hopefully this get's us somewhere to finding your former teammate, and those kids as well." Shintaro said determined
"You care a lot about those kids don't you? You never met them, and you're going out of your way to help them?" Jiraiya said
"Objectively it's to reduce potential threats/subordinates that will no doubt serve him for his own twisted desires. Subjectively, it makes sense to help kids from making a mistake due to the fact that no one gives a crap about them. I can't save everyone, but damn it all if I don't even try to save the one's I can." Shintaro said tightly squeezing his fist
"Shintaro." Jiraiya said in sympathy
"You have all the information you need, now if you'll excuse me I'm going on patrol." Shintaro said as he got up walking towards the door
"Just one more thing Shintaro." Jiraiya said calmly stopping Shintaro, but not enough to turn his head
"You are Jiyu's kid aren't you? I mean Jiyu was going to be a father, but that was the last I heard of him. Then years later you just happened to show up out of nowhere making everything better for just about everyone. It's just too..." Jiraiya said before Shintaro started to chuckle darkly before speaking in a cynical matter
"Convenient? Too easy? Too good to be true? A Miracle? Honestly, all you ninja are the same." Shintaro said lowly much to Jiraiya's surprise when Shintaro turned around with the coldest, lifeless glare he had ever seen in his life
"Do you honestly believe I would lie about who my father is just to gain some leverage? This is why I wanted to stay in a small village, but no we just had to stay in a ninja village." Shintaro groaned in cynicism
"Shintaro, I-"
"Enough, the reason I don't and still don't trust the 5 Great Nations is because of the power grabs you constantly go after, the lies you tell, the people you kill innocent or otherwise, the lives you ruin...but that's just it, the world is just full of selfish people, and use ninjas to get their way whether they know it or not. You're no different than mercenaries in my eyes." Shintaro said coldly
"Yet I do the same things. Guess that means I'm like them." Shintaro thought to himself
"Mercenaries and Shinobi are not the same. Mercenaries fight for selfish reasons like greed, power, woman, and money. Shinobi fight for their people, their comrades, their village, their clan or families." Jraiya said firmly
"The same people that would form a mob over a defenseless 5 year old? The same comrades that would betray you for a touch of Immortality? The same villages to which they glorify themselves yet berate others for not being them? The same clans that enforce basically slavery via branding seal? The same families that grieve over the ones they lost from other people fighting for their families?" Shintaro said even colder and unforgiving that shut Jiriaya up
"Shintaro, no one's perfect." Jiraiya said in defense
"Yet you act like it's the greatest place there is when you know where the corruption is. You let other's dirty their hands so you keep yours clean, knowing the dirty work that "needs" to be done. I never have, and never will trust a ninja village. The ninjas themselves are another matter, some truly do fight for what's right, for what matters, but in the end they serve the goal of keeping their village alive for the sake of their ancestors who created it or for the new generation who will have to live in a place they are taught from birth is the greatest place in the world. There's being proud of your home, and glorifying it no degree ignoring the faults it if not all villages have." Shintaro criticized
"This conversation is over, don't make me change my mind about Konoha. If I can escape from the stubborn dumbasses of Kumo, the dense as hell idiots of Iwa, the over glorified windbags of Suna, or even the blood hungry Kiri monsters, then I can leave from the all powerful ninja of Konohagakure." Shintaro said as he left the room leaving Jiraiya to contemplate that the rumors of how a few kids managed to trick nearly all the 5 Great Nations were true.
"I obviously hit a sore spot with him. Maybe I shouldn't have asked him about Jiyu, so much for smoothing things over with him and Konoha." Jiraiya sighed to himself
10:00 p.m
It was Itachi's turn to be out on watch tonight observing the hotel from an nearby building rooftop. He was looking around until he felt a familiar presence from above.
"Evening, mind if I join you?" Shintaro said nicely with an eye smile
"Not at all, 4 pairs of eyes are better than two, and given your experience of the outdoors this must be common for you." Itachi complimented as Shintaro jumped down to Itachi's level
"Yeah, taking shifts like this is something everyone back in Konoha knows about. Some dread it, but everyone finds it necessary." Shintaro said putting his arms behind his back
"Makes sense I suppose. So, what brings you here?" Itachi asked
"I wanted to know what's on your oh so serious mindset right now. About all this." Shintaro said tiredly
"You want to know what's on my mind about what has happened today?" Itachi asked
"Come on, a 13 year old-"
"12 to be accurate."
"Ok, a 12 year old Captain of the Anbu Black Ops, a respective ninja of Konoha, respected prodigy/heir to the Uchiha clan selected by the Hokage himself sent on a mission to hunt down and kill one of the Legendary Sannin with another of the Legendary Sannin when suddenly the last members of a ninja clan that was massacred on the same night we came here due to information they received from a member of The Fallen. How could something not be going on your mind right now?" Shintaro said in amusement
"I could say the same of you Shintaro-san, a 10 year old leader of a group of children half are part of The Fallen the other half a group of orphans or lost children that just so happen to be part of a clan, who not only is the son of one of the infamous Jiyu, a revolutionary fighting for those who couldn't even fought Minato Namikaze to a standstill over the small village being used as an outpost giving us a strategic advantage." Itachi retorted
"A child who also not to mention went through the Forest of Death as if it was nothing just for the sake of a birthday gift for your friend unintentionally gaining two more allies, one being a former tiger summons the other the daughter of the Aburame clan's mistake that they wish would be forgotten. And those are just some of the things that I've heard about during your exploits in Konoha much less what I've seen earlier this evening." Itachi continued
"You have a point there. So, two kids are on top of a rooftop talking about each other's accomplishments wondering what's on each other's minds...sounds like the beginning of a joke." Shintaro chuckled
"Only the outcome depends on the butt of the joke itself." Itachi remarked
"True enough. So, are you going to answer my question?" Shintaro asked again
"To finish the joke or for genuine curiosity?" Itachi asked
"More of the latter, but I'm not going to lie I'm going to see if I can make a joke out of this." Shintaro said honestly
"Very well, I'll admit that the whole situation has gotten more interesting. I wasn't expecting results on the first day no less. The Fuma Clan massacre was an unfortunate turn of events however it did lead to us to discover the identity of one of Orochimaru's subordinates." Itachi said looking in the window of the room that held what was left of the Fuma clan
"Yes, and one thing's for sure. If I see this glasses wearing prick he's dead." Shintaro said darkly with a contained rage just waiting to get out
"You act like your responsible for the clan's demise." Itachi observed only pulling Shintaro into a deep depression
"I am." Shintaro thought to himself
"Who wouldn't want to kill someone that slaughtered a group of innocent people just to keep a secret for their own purposes?" Shintaro vented
"Wouldn't you do such a thing?" Itachi asked
"Is that even a question?" Shintaro said almost offended
"Well, hypothetically if an enemy knew of your location in a town that had your comrades in it, and you must protect them at all cost. What would you do?" Itachi asked
"Do I know that they're coming for me or am I clueless? About the enemy knowing my location thing." Shintaro said for clarification
"You have no knowledge of the enemy. However, it is suspect that one of the villagers is leaking your location to the enemy." Itachi clarified
"How big is the village?" Shintaro asked
"Regular size, but a small village off in the corner of the world." Itachi continued
"Ok, let me think...I'd secretly start an investigation on each of the villagers no matter position or age, while I made some obvious changes to security paying attention to those that are really interested, and those who act like they're not interested while really making subtle changes to security that actually make a difference."
"Then when, and I do mean when someone slips up I'm going ask nicely why he/she did such a thing. The rest will depend on his answer of whether I compromise with his/her decision or using the interrogating torture techniques that psycho-sensei taught me." Shintaro said proudly
"Who knows, maybe I'll get to use the S.S.S on them." Shintaro said anxiously
"S.S.S?" Itachi said confused
"The Screaming Salt Sack(s) technique. Where you knock them out before getting depending how much suffering you want to inflict, 2 10 pound bags of salt, wake them up, then you skin the flesh off of their arms, ignore the screams, dip the arms in the sacks, and see how long they last. Then if you want you can do the same for other body parts as well like the chest, legs or even the face. Or if you're really feeling evil you can do it to their more...sensitive parts." Shintaro said in a cheerful tone
"That is...probably the most disturbing thing I've heard out of a 10 year old." Itachi said keeping his stoic face on, but was more cautious
"Why thank you, I aim to please. I'm sure psycho-sensei would've been proud to hear that from the Captain of the Anbu. Now, enough about my twisted mind raised by my psychotic foster grandparents, I want to talk about you. Specifically about the fact you had your chastity endangered via strip club." Shintaro chuckled
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Itachi said mildly sweating
"Come on, it'll be just between us guys. I won't tell your girlfriend about so no need to be so uptight about it. We may be on a mission, but we all need to relieve a little otherwise we go mad. You can be all secretive, and mysterious like all you want but it only works for so long. I'm not telling you to go wild, and drink till yourself to death. Though that'd be a sight to see, I'm sure you wouldn't last long anyways." Shintaro joked
"What makes you say that?" Itachi said calmly
"Oh? Getting defensive are we?" Shintaro teased
"I'm merely wondering how you came to that conclusion." Itachi responded stoically
"Oh please, that stoic voice of yours isn't going to help much, but I'll concede. You're body mass for one, you look like you can hardly take a cup without going dizzy. There's also the fact that you hide a lot, feelings, opinions, reactions are all restricted by that stoic face you plaster on yourself nonstop. There's also your position as the heir to the Uchiha clan prodigy as well as being recently appointed Captain of the Anbu, there's bound to be stressful things about that, and lastly there's your girlfriend...I'm sure managing a relationship in your current situation with all the things I listed. So, can you prove me wrong? Can the Uchiha clan heir hold his own in a drinking contest against a kid younger than him?" Shintaro prodded
"I most certainly can, but I won't." Itachi said
"Oh? How unsurprising yet so predictable." Shintaro sighed in disappointment
"Well, perhaps I will, but on one condition." Itachi offered piquing Shintaro's interest with a raised eyebrow
"Well now, this is certainly interesting. And what pray tell is this condition of yours?" Shintaro said genuinely concerned
"When we return from this mission, failed or completed. I wish to partake in a spar between each other." Itachi said throwing Shintaro off
"A spar?" Shintaro said genuinely surprised
"Tell me Shintaro-san. What is your personal belief on how you gain your current abilities?" Itachi asked
"I worked for it. No doubt about it, I wasn't born perfect, if anything I was born flawed, but that's beside the point. Some things were easy for me I won't deny that, but that fact is is that I shed a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get where I am today. Even as I am now there is much more room for improvement, and I'm not going to stay in my comfort bubble of what I know. It may be impossible to master everything, but it is possible to know just enough of most things. You get where you are now through your effort, not by your birth. Unlike those Uchiha pricks with their damn Sharingan, but not your girlfriend and mom they're cool...and you Itachi, you're alright." Shintaro said sincerely
"I see, I must say I agree with your assessment. Being born into the Uchiha clan, the clan who went head-to-head with the Senju on a regular basis many years ago, especially considering I'm the clan heir I'm supposed to live up to certain expectations. Many in my clan, especially the war veterans, and elders have the mindset that the only way to live as a true Uchiha is as a warrior, even then you're not considered much unless you have the Sharingan. We Uchiha pricks tend to worship our damn Sharingan like the stereotypes people have placed upon us." Itachi said with a small grin on his face
"Uh...I didn't offend you did I?" Shintaro said uneasy scooting a bit to the right
"And If you did?" Itachi asked in curiosity
"I'd say I'm sorry, but I wouldn't take it back. I'm blunt like that, it's just how psycho-sensei raised me." Shintaro said bluntly
"Interesting." Itachi muttered
"So what does this have to do with the spar back home? I mean I'm down for it, and even though I really don't care what strangers think of me, I don't want an entire clan giving me stink eye for beating the hell out of the Uchiha prodigy." Shintaro said honestly
"There's no doubt my clan will make a fuss over a trivial spar between us especially if you end up as the victor, but that just shows how prideful and arrogant my clan is. I am however curious as to how you came to the conclusion that you would defeat me." Itachi said sincerely in his plain voice
"One, I never said I'd beat you just beat the hell out of you. Two, because I've gone up against the Sharingan before by sparring with the teme. Three, I may not look like it, but out of habit by it being drilled into my head by psycho-sensei I actually have kept track of all the people I have killed. 83 by the way, if you're wondering. What does this have to do with the spar? Simple, I play for keeps." Shintaro said as he took out a kunai before tossing it on a passing snake on the road
"What was that for?" Itachi asked
"I'm not in the mood to see a snake right now." Shintaro replied
"Old man Z taught me that if you don't have the 4 B's then you didn't spar correctly. Bruises, Blood, and Broken Bones are essential to every spar you have. Keep that in mind if you want to go through with the whole sparring with me thing. The teme can testify to the number of times that I have repeatedly broken his ribs every time he challenged me." Shintaro warned
"You certainly are a most...unique child Shintaro-san." Itachi said
"Thanks, so are you going to back down on the spar?" Shintaro asked
"No, I'm not. If anything I'm looking forward to it even more." Itachi said plainly with eagerness in his voice
"Really?" Shintaro said looking at Itachi if he was crazy
"I'm looking forward to our spar Shintaro-san, you actually vaguely remind me of a friend of mine. He's one of the very few Uchiha like me who puts the village, and his comrades before his clan." Itachi said standing up
"Damn, that's rare. What's his name?" Shintaro asked in wonder though he had an idea on who he was walking about
"Shisui, although he's a bit more lighthearted than you, but other than that you're similar. I think you two would get along. I must go now, I have to patrol the other parts of the block." Itachi said turning away
"Nice talking to you Itachi. Looking forward to kicking your ass when we get back." Shintaro said standing up as well
"I'm sure you are. Goodnight Shintaro-san." Itachi said disappearing
"Night." Shintaro said to himself
"I have no idea what it is, but I have a very bad feeling about this. I haven't felt anything like this since...since Mariko died, and those fuckers...if I see them again they will die." Shintaro thought darkly as he looked at the full moon wondering if he was going to meet those that have caused him suffering these past 5 years.
Elsewhere in an unknown location.
"Oh, I just can't wait to meet him again! I'm just shaking in anticipation to see my favorite screamer again. Oh, the screams he yelled, the tears he shed, oh it's all just so glorious to see that suffering face of his. I think my favorite one was when he watched that redhead being squashed from that boulder. So much for her sand fixing everything." a high pitched voice snickered in wicked laughter
"Honestly, I don't care about your obsession with that boys suffering. Just keep it to yourself, your voice is obnoxious beyond belief." a dark low deep voice grumbled
"Oh, shut it. You just don't know how to enjoy a good child breakdown. When you see the hope in their eyes be crushed in front them, pleading for it to stop, and when they go silent knowing what has happened to the point they accepted it...oh, I, JUST, LOVE, IT!" the pitched voice said as her legs were shivering in pleasure
"You're addicted you know that?" the dark voice pointed out
"What if I am? Not like it messes with my performance." the high pitched voice chuckled
"True enough. Now, let's report to Kagaku-sama on our findings." the dark voice said putting it's hands together
"Okey-dokey." the high pitched voice said doing the same thing
After a series of hand signs that even most veteran shinobi wouldn't recognize, followed by a chant whispered to themselves a portal opened to reveal a lone figure in a room.
The figure was a tall, slender yet sickly man looming or a surgery table. He was wearing a faded white lab coat that has lost its color, but was covered heavily in bloodstains from...other sources. He had white hair which was also covered in blood spots, but was hanging down past his eyes covered by his dirty glasses swaying left and right every time he moved his head sometimes making contact with the surgical mask he had on.
The room in which he was in stank of death that rivaled a graveyard of fresh corpses yet was about the size of an average hospital room. A cold metal surgery table with a small tool table next to it. Corpses hung by hooks were in various conditions with a red piece of paper on their forehead or left bare.
"Kagaku-sama." the two voices said with a deep bow
"Ah, Sei-chan, Shin-kun. So nice to see to you again, have you come to report in so soon? You two do work so well after all I'm hardly surprised of your efforts." a smooth slick voice said working on what was in front of him
"Thank you Kagaku-sama, we are unworthy of such praise. Though, if I may be prudent I would prefer it if you would call me by my full name, Shinimukaimasu. Seikatsu may not mind, but I think it informal and too familiar for you to address me like that." Shinimukaimasu said formally
"Yes, it is the name I gave you after all, but as you know I'm not one for formality. However, if that is what you wish then so be it, but only for mission briefings. Shinimukaimasu, what do you, and Sei-chan have to report in?" Kagaku said calmly yet interested already despite not hearing anything
"We have completed the task that you have asked of us perfectly. The Land of Rice Paddies Daimyo has received the package as you have requested." Shinimukaimasu said
"Yeah, but that's not the only thing that happened today though." Seikatsu said
"Oh? What else happened Sei-chan?" Kagaku asked with interest
"Someone decided to have a genocide, and I wasn't there! And it was against a ninja clan too! It wasn't fair Kagaku-sama!" Seikatsu whined like a child
"Oh? Such a shame you didn't get to participate in such a wondrous activity Sei-chan. Tell me, who was massacred today, and who was responsible for an art that oh so few appreciate?" Kagaku asked
"We are currently unaware of who committed the act Kagaku-sama, but we may have an idea of where to look." Shinimukaimasu said
"Wonderful, now who was massacred today?" Kagaku said cheerfully as he cut into whatever he was working on
"The residential clan of the Land of Rice Paddies, the Fuma clan."
"My, how interesting. If I am correct that is the clan which my hopefully soon-to-be ally was interested in. I wonder if...no matter, I hope we will come to an alliance once he receives my proposal. It would be such a shame for a fellow scientist to be in my way of dominance."
"I don't get it Kagaku-sama, what do we have to gain from teaming up with that creepy snake guy?" Seikatsu said
"For once I agree with her, and that is a rare thing. What purpose much less gain is there for allying ourselves with that snake Orochimaru? He has betrayed his own village which he was raised in with little thought." Shinimukaimasu said confused
"Ah, but you forget Shinimukaimasu, he did so in his quest for knowledge. Few can truly understand what needs to be done in order to pursue what lies beyond the borders of knowledge we place on ourselves. For instance, I would never have made so many cures for diseases if I didn't create them in the first place, I think my greatest creation was that bio-chemical weathering weapon that was used to weed out those rebellious jinchuuriki. I believe they called it oh what was it...that's right The Fog." Kagaku said fondly
"Oh, Kagaku-sama! Kagaku-sama! I just remembered something!"
"What is it Sei-chan?"
"We found him, we found him!"
"Found who Sei-chan?"
"The one you want for that project Kagaku-sama."
"You mean..."
"We found Wrath's chosen!"
"I see...it has been a while since we have seen each other. Was he alone?"
"No, unfortunately he has new allies with him, or at the very least has powerful people with him. Such allies or accomplices are Jiraiya of the Sannin, Kakashi of the Sharingan eye A.K.A the Copycat Ninja, and Itachi Uchiha who appears to be a member of Konoha still. Meaning he has murdered the Uchiha clan yet, but as to when we have no idea." Shinimukaimasu explained
"Interesting, I look forward to that event when it comes. The Uchiha Massacre was always one of my favorite events in history. Was there anyone else with him?" Kagaku asked
"There are two others his age with him, but we have no records of who they are at the moment. The boy also seems to have gotten stronger as well with his usage of seals." Shinimukaimasu reported
"Whatever, I can kill him in my sleep if I wanted to, but that would be no fun at all." Seikatsu said licking her lips
"You're addiction with that boy's suffering will be the death of you." Shinimukaimasu pointed out annoyingly
"You're just a jerk who doesn't appreciate the true value of suffering. You don't waste time at all just "blegh" and they're dead. That's hardly of what a death should be. It should be long, drawn out, and filled with pain to the point where they beg for death, then the real fun begins." Seikatsu chuckled
"Efficiency is all that matters, I won't waste time explaining myself or hesitate for minor pleasure. Unlike most fools who talk before killing I speak no words to those I intend to kill. It only gives my targets a chance to inflict harm on me." Shinimukaimasu explained
"That's why you're my top assassination pick Shinimukaimasu, and why Sei-chan is my top interrogator." Kagaku said with a wicked smile underneath his mask
"Thank you Kagaku-sama. What will you have us do now?" Shinimukaimasu asked
"If that boy is there for the reasons I suspect, then he will have to be disappointed. For now leave the boy be. However, If my future ally is in danger you are to intervene, and assist him in any way and if possible convince him to go with you. If you are given the opportunity see if you can...acquire our old friend if possible. I know he is surrounded by allies, powerful ones at that, but if you can retrieve Wrath's chosen." Kagaku said in a tone of urgency yet understanding
"As you wish Kagaku-sama." Shinimukaimasu said with a bow
"So, whatchya gonna be doing in the meantime Kagaku-sama? Looks like your working on something important." Seikatsu said trying to look past Kagaku
"I am Sei-chan, what I'm working on is very important to my future plans. However, if you two succeed in acquiring my fellow scientist this will much, much faster." Kagaku sighed tiredly
"Don't worry we'll get it done Kagaku-sama!" Seikatsu said happily
"I have no doubt Sei-chan. That is all, dismissed." Kagaku said in a tone that said he was done talking
"Hai, Kagaku-sama." they said closing the portal
As the portal disintegrated Kagaku merely smiled at the progress he was making. What was currently on the table could hardly be called a human anymore. From first look it was a male, but that would be the only defining character trait left of him whoever he was. Most of his skin was pale white, his face distorted into something monstrous, hair gone completely, and his chest opened completely removed of all organs.
"Yes, this is very important. I'm so close to creating you my precious children, and I know exactly what's going to help."
Looking to his far right was a large glass container with some strange black substance that was desperately trying to escape, but was electrically shocked whenever it touched the edges which was often.
Next to it was another glass case which held a white substance that seemed to have a face implanted in it, of who it was a mystery, but it was motionless unless the black substance tried to make contact with it.
Chuckling Kagaku put down his instruments, and walked towards the two glass containers. As if it was alive the black substance retreated away to the edge opposite to Kagaku as if out of fear almost shivering, growling as Kagaku came closer.
"Now, why are you acting so scared? I thought you were the will of a god? Don't tell me you're scared of little old me? A harmless scientist who is merely looking after you two. After all, your creator is gone, and any means of reviving her have been shattered. When you crawled away from defeat did I turn you away? No, I took you in, and all I ask is a little cooperation is all." Kagaku said sweetly pushing his face and hands close to the box
The black substance growled furiously almost making sounds that represent words.
"What was that? I couldn't hear you." Kagaku chuckled pressing his ear against the surface
"L...Li...Liar..." was all it could manage to create before going silent
"Liar huh? I did no such thing to you, I said that I needed you in order for my plans to work, and I do need you. Well, whether or not you believe me is a whole other matter, and besides you're special. So you don't get to die on me just yet. Your other half also has proven to be quite useful to me, and as long as you both continue to exist you'll stay that way. Now, I need to get back to creating my children, can't spend all day with you as much as I want to." Kagaku teased as he tapped the glass surface before standing up
Returning to the surgery table Kagaku picked up his instruments, and continued to work on his specimen smiling underneath his mask.
"If things go as planned I can reduce my children's creation for the coming war by 8 years, and if I can acquire Wrath's chosen then the rest will soon follow. Whatever the case may be I'll have a prototype army ready in three years time, and if they're all hiding where I think then that'll be the perfect place to test my children's capabilities."
"In due time Wrath's chosen, we will meet again. Such a shame that I may need to get my hands dirty to get what I need. No gain is without sacrifice, but who said I needed to be the one to sacrifice? That's what my experiments are for, and experiments can be found everywhere I look." Kagaku thought to himself chuckling before bursting out in laughter and started to skip around the table like a child
Laughing maniacally Kagaku spread out his arms, spinning around like a crazed ballet dancer grinning like a madman "Oh what a day, what a lovely day! I just love it when good news like this comes around! Now I feel inspired to work even harder, I'm sure of it. What could stop me now!?" Kagaku yelled psychotically continuing to laugh unintentionally stabbing the head of whoever he had on his table
"Oh, bloody hell. Well, onto the next one!" Kagaku shrugged as he kicked the corpse off his table happily humming to himself as he looked at the line of corpses he had like a line of clothes in a store.
Elsewhere in a hidden underground lair
Walking back into the cave which he left in this morning Kabuto took off his glasses to wipe the blood from the victims of his...purging. Normally by now he would have a small satisfactory smile on his face from the people who endangered his master, but now he had a frustrated scowl from the fact that he let survivors escape his grasp. That Hanzaki had proven to be more troublesome than he had anticipated, it only slowed his death if only a few seconds, but those few seconds allowed his lackey to scream alerting his clansmen. Kabuto had to really put his skills to the test, and hadn't felt this way since he found out he had been lied to by Danzo.
Now, those survivors were in the hand of his masters hated village. It was no matter, whatever remained of the Fuma clan he will no doubt look like scared refugees crazy out of their minds. What frustrated him the most was the moments hesitation he displayed when he was about to slice the neck of some orange-haired girl, but something inside him had him stop for a moment. He didn't know what it was, but he shook himself from those thoughts immediately in time enough to dodge an attack getting back to his slaughter.
That hesitation caused her to escape with that no good lackey of Hanzaki to grab that brat, and escape with their lives. After that he had no problem killing off the rest of the clan purely out of rage. He tried to track down the rest, but that mole like creature took them underground fast to somewhere he was unaware of. Problem is that Kabuto thought he'd kill that mole thing when it sliced off its aorta vessels, but apparently not.
Finally walking to the door which his master resided in, he had to think of a way of explaining why he'd killed his master's potential servants/experiments.
"Hello, Orochimaru-sama. I have news for you regarding the Fuma clan-"
"Forget about them Kabuto. Gather your things, we're leaving, now." Orochimaru said firmly in a commanding tone
"If I may Orochimaru-sama, what about the children being delivered to serve you in your experiments Orochimaru-sama?" Kabuto asked confused at his masters actions as well as the small container that he had in his hands
"I'll deal with that later. There is something I need to confirm, and I believe this has what I've been looking for ever since I've abandoned my home." Orochimaru said with a sinister smile on his face admiring what he held in his hands
"And what is that Orochimaru-sama?" Kabuto asked
"A break in long line of bad luck I've been suffering." Orochimaru said showing the container to Kabuto who was shocked to see what was in it.
In the same cave 5 minutes earlier
He couldn't believe it, he actually could not believe it. There was someone in this world who shared his beliefs in moving forward in the world. He never imagined coming here to this rotten whole hidden away in the corner of the Land of Fire would be so beneficial. He thought he'd start out small here maybe start a village as well, but that was only because no one would suspect him of being here.
It was simple, trick the residential ninja clan into serving him, fool that greedy Daimyo with promise of riches, and start a ninja of loyal Konoha hating shinobi to serve at his beck and call. But now, he had no need for that. He knew this was legit for many reasons. One of which was that he knew this was not from his "comrades" of Konoha, but the other one...OH, the other one was what sold it to him. Right now he was holding the other reason right now in his hands in all its glory.
He actually thought this may be the one person who he might not have to instill fear to get what he needs can get everything now, his revenge against Konoha, allies that approve and understand his reasons for doing this, the resources and time to preform his experiments, but most of all he would gain the one thing he sought out in this world...immortality. This is his best chance, and all of this happened because of a gut feeling he had.
"If this Kagaku can provide something like this all by himself with bare bones. Then I wonder what he can do with my help, and Konoha's resources."
"Hello, Orochimaru-sama. I have news regarding the Fuma clan-"
"Forget about them Kabuto. Gather your things, we're leaving, now."
"If I may Orochimaru-sama, what about the children being delivered to you to serve you in your experiments Orochimaru-sama?"
"I'll deal with that later. There is something I need to confirm, and I believe this has what I've been looking for ever since I've abandoned my home."
"And what is that Orochimaru-sama?"
"A break in long line of bad luck I've been suffering."
"And if i'm right about this opportunity. It will blossom a partnership I'm sure that'll last a very long time."
