Woo this is chapter 11, wow can't actually believe that little light has made it this far so a special thank you to everyone who has read, reviewed, favourited and/or followed this story. It's my first story to reach over 50reviews and over 100followers so thank you all so much, you have all inspired me to do my best with each chapter.

Lucy has just reached 8months- also keep in mind that the first 3months she didn't know she was pregnant.

So without any further ado here is chapter 11 of Little Light.

It was approaching the afternoon and everyone was currently gathered in the guild partaking within their usual activities. However the young expecting married couple was currently missing from the place of action, instead they could be found at the back of the main guild hall away from earshot.

'Gah Natsu I have already told you, I am ok, I have been ok since we left the hospital LAST WEEK' Lucy spoke with frustration as she placed emphasis on the words last week. Since leaving the hospital her husband had basically been hovering her and while it was cute and sweet at first it had started to become really annoying.

'I know that you're ok Luce' Natsu paused 'I'm just worried that if I leave you to go on a mission or anything than something may happen to you again, and again I won't be there' his tone grew as he reached the end of his sentence showing how he had obviously been stressing over this topic for the last week. Lucy's face softened as she placed her hand on his cheek.

'Natsu I understand that you are worried about me, but your constant hovering is beginning to get rather annoying, I need my space as well as the fact that since I'm unable to you need to go on missions for the obvious reason such as money' the blonde stated growing angrier with each word.

'Lucy' Natsu muttered in a low stern tone as he tried to remain calm.

'Besides we have Mika who is here to insure not just my health and safety but the twins as well, so everything will be alright' Lucy reminded her stubborn husband as she pointed to the violet haired women who was currently acquainting herself with Mira and Cana over at the bar while paying mild attention to the couple in the back with concern on her face.

'Oi Miss doctor don't look so worried those two have their little lovers quarrels all the time, actually it's rather ironic since I heard that their fighting about Natsu not going on missions while a few months back it was the opposite' Cana laughed as she took a swig from her barrel, earning a look of disgust from the doctor.

'While the arguing can be considered a worry that is not what I'm concern about' Mika retorted placing her attention back to her clients.

'Eh then what are you worried about' Mira questioned glancing at the couple trying to see it there was anything else wrong.

'She's stressing and being this far into her pregnancy stress can cause issues' Mika replied before making her way towards Natsu and Lucy.

'Hey you two sorry to intrude on your conversation but I got a favour to ask of you Natsu' Mika smiled as she approach the two who were both caught off guard by her cheerful approach that they momentarily forgot that they were in the middle of an argument.

'Umm ok sure what do you need help with' Natsu hesitantly agreed, Lucy deciding that she had enough with her husband at the current moment walked over to join with Mira and Cana.

'Well you see before I came to Magnolia I did some work at the Acalpha hospital and I seemed to have left some of my notes in the office I had there, I've already contacted my friend to gather them for me and hold them at the front desk I just need someone to collect them' the violet haired women smiled.

'Yea so Acalpha only an hour away by train so why don't you get them yourself' Natsu questioned.

'Because I am currently on the job which means I can't leave your wife's side' Mika glance over her shoulder confirming that Lucy was out of earshot before changing her tone 'ok listen Natsu right now you are currently making one of the bigger mistakes a first time father can make and that is hovering the pregnant lady, I have seen this numerous amount of times with my past clients and trust me if you continue it won't end well, you are causing Lucy to stress out which can lead to several problems which can occasionally lead to a premature labour which is dangerous' Mika carefully explained to the fire mage making sure that he had comprehended the situation, after a moments silence he spoke.

'Ok, I'll go, I guess I didn't notice how it was affecting her' Natsu whispered feeling silently ashamed.

'Don't worry pretty much all expecting parents go through this dilemma' Mika informed him as they headed towards the bar. Where Lucy was drinking one of her 'special milkshake's'.

'So what was the favour' Lucy asked as the two approached obviously all previous anger had passed.

'Nothing much really Mika just wants me to retrieve some notes from her old office in Acalpha' Natsu replied eyeing Lucy with concern.

'That's a great idea' Mira chirped in causing the others to turn to her with questioning glances 'Acalpha is only an hour ride away right, so Natsu can start taking missions that are short and close by so that if something does happen he can be back here almost instantly' Mira cheered

'Ahh Mira that's a great idea' Lucy smiled hoping this would finally get her husband to stop hovering.

'Guess I have no choice then' Natsu smiled before walking to Lucy embracing her 'Luce I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you' He whispered into her ear causing her to smile in relief.

'It ok, Natsu I forgive you' She whispered back as he pulled away giving her a small peck on the lips.

'The next train to Acalpha leaves in twenty-minutes so I heading out, if any of you see happy can you let him know' Natsu waved as he left the guild hall. As soon as the doors closed behind him Lucy let out a huge breath of relief.

'Mika I have no idea what you said but thanks for convincing Natsu that I'll be ok, oh and for stopping our fight before it got worse.'

'No problem Mrs. Dragneel I'm just doing my job, and as I told your husband this kind of problem is quite common among first time parents'

'Problems like those are reasons why I love being in love with my booze' Cana raising her barrel into the air causing Lucy and Mira to sweat drop while Mika pulled a face again.

'Cana please tell me that you don't have any plans on children?' Mika asked in a worried tone.

'Eh what the hell kind of question is that?' Cana retorted lifting an eyebrow.

'Well I'm asking since its taboo to drink while pregnant'

At this statement Cana placed her barrel down in shock before turning her gaze to the blonde

'So wait, does that mean that Lucy hasn't had any alcohol at all for the last five or so month's' She asked in a serious tone.

'Well umm yeah that's kind of a condition' Lucy decided to answer.

'HOW HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING' the card mage shouted 'I MEAN YOU HAVENT HAD A SINGLE DRINK, THAT'S IT WHEN THOSE TWO ARE BORN I AM TAKING YOU OUT. GAH YOU CAN'T EVEN DRINK ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS' Cana continued shouting as if the world had ended, Mika stared at her in shock at the outburst, Mira just laughed while Lucy just rolled her eyes and continued drinking her milkshake, however she suddenly paused at the mention of special occasions.

"ahhh that's coming up, I've been so focus on several other things such as being pregnant, it totally slipped my mind" Lucy thought toherself as mild guilt and panic washed over her.

'Gomensai minna but I got to head off and do some…..shopping' Lucy waved as she walked as fast as she could which in her current condition wasn't actually very fast.

'Hey, hey ,hey where the heck do you think you're going' a voice called from behind her just after she had left the guild hall, turning around the blond noticed that it was Mika who had followed her out.

'Ahh sorry Mika, I kinda forgot that you have to be nearby'

'It's all good, judging from your 'rushed walking' it must be some real important shopping, so where are we heading' the doctor smiled.

'Well there is this small shop that's near the train station that has something that's perfect for what I need it for.'

After 45minutes

'Ahh that took longer than it should have, I hate being pregnant, I can barely walk anywhere without feeling tired or getting sore feet.' Lucy complained as she and Mika finally reached the desired shop, which looked old and had a wooden sign hanging from the door saying 'Vell's Trinkets'.

'It's amusing the amount of times I have heard that same sentence from different people' Mika chuckled as she opened the door allowing the celestial mage to enter, Mika's jaw dropped as she entered and examined the shop which had shelves lined with old books, vials, jewellery and other peculiar item's. 'Wow this place is amazing' She gasp closing her mouth.

'I know me and Levy found this place a few years back when we heard about the books that Vell sold, she trades with a lot of the people who pass by on the train so you have no idea what you would find here' Lucy explained as Mika walked through the store in amazement while the shopkeeper approached the mage.

'Welcome to my…oh Lucy my dear I haven't seen you for a while' an older women with long brownish gray hair appeared from behind the shelves.

'It has been a short while hasn't it….um Vell would you by any chance still have..' Lucy started.

'Oh you mean this' Vell walked over to the main desk of her shop and pulled out an small item 'had a feeling you would come back for it so I left it aside for you' Vell smiled as she handed the blonde the item

'Ahh really wow thank you Vell you're the best this is just perfect' Lucy beamed as she pulled out her wallet and paid for the item as Mika rejoined her before they both left the shop and the two women began to wander through the streets.

'That really does look amazing Lucy it seems just perfect for a….Lucy?' Mika pause as she noticed that her client wasn't paying attention to her and had stopped walking, instead the celestial was staring at mother who was interacting with her child, as she watched them she had come to a sudden realization.

"I don't know how to be a mother" was the her only thought as fear had begun to build up. Mika watched Lucy carefully unsure if everything was alright or if there was a disturbance with her pregnancy however these concerns died down as she watched a face of fear turn into one of concentration before showing a determined one.

'Hey Mika, is it ok for us to go to Acalpha? , there should be a train soon and we're not far from the station' Lucy internally cringed as she noticed how meek her own voice had sounded. At hearing this question the doctor raised her eyebrow and smirked in a teasing manor in an attempt to erase the building tension.

'Of course it's fine, as I said earlier it's a short trip, but you know if you wanted to see your husband so badly you coul..'

'That's not why I want to go' Lucy softly muttered before she started walking towards the train station, both her actions and answer has totally baffled the young doctor as she followed her to the station deciding to write it off as hormonal actions, but this assumption soon faded as Lucy had remained silent during the train ride as well as the walk through the town, however this pattern broke as they walked past what seemed to be a merchant guild, when Mika noticed that Lucy had frozen in front of the building and looked up at it with a pained expression before she continued. Mika frowned as she look up the building itself and a signed titled 'Love & Lucky' she looked ahead at her client noticing that her expression was full of sorrow and that her pace had slowed. The two continued walking for another few minutes when Lucy stopped in front of some gates, Mika instantly realized where they were a grave yard.

'Mika'

The girl in question almost jumped at the soft tone feeling relieved that Lucy had finally spoken.

'Yea' she replied in an equally soft tone.

'I know that you are meant to be with voice towards the doctor who silently nodded.

'yea, I'll be right here so call for me if something happens'

'Thanks' was the only reply Lucy gave as she willed herself to move forward passing several different graves before she found herself facing two with 'Jude Heartfillia-Caring husband and father' engraved into the one of the left with 'Layla Heartfillia- loving Wife and Mother' engraved on the right. A small sad smile graced Lucy's lips as she sat on the ground the best she could with her swollen stomach.

'Hey Mum and Dad, it's been a short while hasn't it, I sorry for not ..coming for a while but Natsu and the guild kinda put me on lockdown' She stopped letting out a small laugh 'Everyone at the guild has been really helpful since I found out I was pregnant….I'm having twins and I'm due in a couple of weeks, we haven't quite settled on names yet…heh after they are born I'll make sure to bring them here so you can meet them….' Lucy stopped as she tried to wipe the tears from her face however they just continued to fall. 'umm that's actually why im here….i don't know how to be a mum….i'm scared, what if I screw up and fail, or they end up hating me….what if something happens and I can't protect them…Mum I wish you were here so you can help me and tell me what to do I just feel….so …lost' Lucy was unable to continue as she cry at her parents grave faintly noticing the footsteps behind her.

Slightly Earlier

Natsu POV

'Man that was boring and annoying' I moaned as I walked through the streets of the town after I finally finished the errand Mika had sent me on, apparently she didn't tell the people with her notes that she had sent me to retrieve them and it took over around two agonizing hours to convince them to hand the dam papers over. I continued walking through the streets since the next train wouldn't be arriving for another hour I shuddered at the thought of that death machine as I felt sick at the thought of riding one without Lucy. Lucy I was worried about her as well as feeling guilty for unconsciously causing her so much stress, I took a deep breath to release a sigh but froze mid way as I smelt a familiar scent…Lucy?

"No way, there is no way she is here I'm probably mistaken" I told myself as I took in another breath just to prove I was wrong but I could still smell her, close by and salt was mixed in..salt!, shit she is here somewhere and crying I panic and I following her scent hopping she was ok and nothing had happen while I wasn't around to help her again. However all thoughts stopped when I traced her scent to the graveyard and saw Mika standing at the gates looking inside.

'Mika?' I questioned, she stiffened as she turned around and seeing it was me, she relaxed.

'Is Luce?'

Mika nodded and nudged her head in the direction of the graveyard. I silently walking into the graveyard and followed the path until I found her sitting on the ground talking to her parents, I frowned as I listened to her last sentence

'Mum I wish you were here so you can help me and tell me what to do I just feel….so …lost'

I slowly approached her and sat down next to her crying figure, before wrapping my arms around her and pulling her body towards mine, I placed my hand on her head and stroked her hair coaxing her to calm down.

'Luce, shh it's ok, I'm here' I softly spoke in a calm manner,

'Na..Natsu, sorry' Lucy whimpered as she took deep breaths trying to calm herself down.

'Sorry? What are you sorry for Luce' I asked trying to hide my shock.

'sorry for being so scared, I just breaking down like a baby about being a mum but you don't seem to have any problems wi…' I quickly silenced her by gently kissing her on the lips.

'Lucy you weirdo, you're acting if I'm not scared, when the fact that I'm going to be a dad in a few weeks scares the shit outta me' I laugh slightly at the end of my sentence.

'But you never seemed scared or anything before, you don't even seem upset now' Lucy gasped out as she finally stopped herself from crying.

'Well yea but that's because I know that as long as we stick together everything will turn out fine, I mean hasn't it always been like that' I smiled at her as I saw realization cross her face before a small smile form.

'Idiot'

'Weirdo'

We both looked at each other before we broke out into a small laugh. 'C'mon Luce we should probably get going' I smiled as I stood up and glanced at her noticing she was biting her lower lip 'Luce?'

'Ummm I can't get up' She replied looking slightly embarrassed, the look on her face and her voice was so cute I couldn't help but laugh at her. 'Hey stop laughing this is already embarrassing enough' she yelled as I

'haha sorry Luce your just so cute like that' I laughed as I sat back down next to her and wrapped one arm around her back and under her arm, while the other wound around her lower back and couldn't help but pressed against her bottom and playfully pressed against the skin, I chuckled when I heard her grasp and lightly slap me, ok I deserved that, before pulling her up onto her feet. 'We should probably rejoin with Mika she's may be worried'

'She already was worried' A voice rang out from behind us turning around I saw Mika leaning against a small tree smirking. 'I don't know why you to are so worried about being parents' Mika continued, I frowned at her statement and when I glanced at Lucy I could tell she was equally confused, I heard Mika sigh 'Ok let me tell you two a quick story about why I decided to be a doctor, years ago when I was only little a dark guild attacked my village, I was so scared as I ran to get away unfortunately one of the dark mages chose me as a target but before it could attack two mages saved me, they both calmed me down and reassured me everything will be alright, I don't know why but something about the way they talked and acted made me truly believe everything was alright, I wanted to one day helped them but knew no magic so I turned to medicine, granted that dream was somewhat crushed when I heard that those two mages along with others disappeared but fortunately after seven years they returned, and well Mr. and Mrs. Dragneel if you two could comfort a little girl who had never met you before as well as compel her to chase a career I think you'll be just fine as parents' as Mika finished her story as both me and Lucy were completely shocked that one mission happened so long ago and yet right now it seemed like it was only yesterday. 'Now hurry up or we'll miss our train' she yelled as she left us standing there.

'See Luce as long as we work together on this everything will turn out fine and Mika just proved that it was always like that and always will be' I smiled as kissed her passionately 'Let's go home Lucy'.

Whewww that was a long chapter and yet possibly one of my new favorites even though this chapter came to 3398 words and is one of my longest it was one of my fav's to write.

I would like to apologise for the long wait for this chapter, I kept getting called into work and didn't really feel up to writing afterwards. Fortunally the next chapter is already planned out and shouldn't take too long, btw the chapter after that one will be the big one yay!

The town Acalpha is said to be a day's walk away from magnolia on the fairy tail wiki and it's also where love & lucky is located so since it never really confirmed it I assumed that it's where Layla and Jude are buried.
