Hey guys sorry for taking a small while to get this chapter out, been having a minor writer's block with this chapter didn't exactly know where to start it haha. So this is going to be the first full chapter with Nashi and Kai yay, hope you all enjoy reading.
Now without further ado here's Little Light chapter 14.
A soft breeze of wind flew through the town Magnolia, which was currently having one of those cool laid back do nothing days, everyone was relaxing in their own way such as family picnic at the park or window-shopping. However the town's resident guild Fairy Tail was still celebrating the birth of two new guild members. Due to the nature of Lucy's pregnancy both Mika and the hospital staff stated that for their health and safety that they remain at the hospital for at least a week to observe the twins health as well as Lucy's magic level since there is a slight possibility of it suddenly decreasing even after the twins birth, this news however didn't keep any of the members from celebrating many of the mages have already visited the new family at the hospital within the last week before being kicked out for their rowdiness or excitement which did not belong in the hospital atmosphere, none the less this didn't stop any of the members from feeling joyous.
Lucy signed in content as she place her head on her Husband's shoulder she was currently sitting up in her assigned hospital bed with her back leaning against the wall, while Natsu was next to her cradling a sleeping Nashi. She looked at the little hospital room was littered with gifts such as plush toys and baby clothes before turning her attention back to their current guest being Mira, Lisanna, Juvia, Gray and Erza. The Strauss sisters were currently sitting next to each near the bed, Lisanna was holding Kai while Mira made cooing noises trying to obtain the one week old infants attention.
"Wahh their both so cute Juvia cannot wait to start her own family one day" The water mage commented causing Gray to momentarily stiffen at his girlfriend's comment. Causing the Blonde to laugh as she noticed the action.
"So Natsu and Lucy, you two enjoying your first week of parenting" Erza asked sitting on one of the small chairs within the room eating the strawberry cake she brought with her.
"It's been exciting but tiring at the same time and that's with the help from Mika and the hospital staff I can only imagine how hectic it's going to be when we go home tomorrow, but im also looking forward to it" Lucy answered as she looked at Natsu to Nashi before glancing at over at Kai with a soft smile gracing her lips, leaning over she slowly took the sleeping girl from her father's arms bringing her to her chest softly cuddling the baby.
"Yea but looking forward to more diapers they freaking stink" Natsu retorted pulling a face moving his now free arms regaining the feeling in them.
"Ha looks like Flamebrain can't even handle a few stinkys" Gray laughed
"What was that you stupid ice breath" Natsu replied getting off the bed
"You heard me Lavapants" Gray taunted as he moved into his fighting stance with Natsu mimicking the actions fire, both mages were about to strike however where bluntly interrupted by two swords pointing at each of their necks, the two slowly turned to see an enraged redhead standing between them.
"Ahh Erza please don't hurt Gray-sama" Juvia called to the reequipped mage.
"Are you two by any chance fighting? In a hospital room with two infants no less, and may I remind you that one of the babies is sleeping" Erza reprimanded the two removing her swords as she saw guilt evident on their faces. Natsu quickly sent a glance to Lucy and was relieved to see that the blonde was too focused on Nashi to notice the small outburst. The celestial mage wasn't the only one who didn't pay attention to their fight since Lisanna and Mirajane who had grown accustom to the 'fights' paid no heed to them, Lisanna continued to play with Kai however no one seemed to noticed that Mira was now staring intently at the boy with a thoughtful look.
"Hmmm" The takeover mage unconsciously hummed catching Lucy's attention who immediately felt a strange new surge of panic rush through her as she realized Mira was watching Kai.
"Mira what's wrong" Lucy asked slightly taken back by the panic sound of her voice, everyone else in the room was now paying attention as they heard her voice.
"Huh" Mira snapped out of thought realizing all eyes were on her also noting the concern look Lucy had. "Oh nothing's wrong I just noticed that Kai has emerald green eyes" Mira quickly replied waving her hand.
"That's right Juvia noticed earlier that Nashi has the same eye coloured" The water mage joined in causing everyone to have a puzzled look.
"Strange because Lucy's eyes are chocolate brown and Natsu's is onyx so where does the green come from" Erza mused as everyone turned to the new parents looking for an explanation, since Nashi's hair colour was a dead giveaway that no cheating was involved on Lucy's part but still didn't explain the eyes.
"Hmmm could be hereditary but them again both my parents had brown coloured eyes" Lucy stated
"Ahh what about Natsu's parents" Lisanna piped.
"What Igneel didn't have green eyes tho" Natsu quickly answered, causing the white mage to shake her head.
"I didn't mean Igneel, Natsu, I meant you real parents" Lisanna corrected as the others processed this possibility.
"That's right I mean we don't anything about Natsu's birth parents" Mira stated in thought.
"Expect that one had pink hair" Gray teased. Lucy looked down at the girl in her arms before turning back to Natsu.
"So do you really think that's why their eyes are green?" The new mother mulled, while Natsu shrugged at the idea seemly lost in thought since the topic of his real parents never came up.
"That's a rather nice theory you all have going there, it's a good thing you're smart enough to realized that just because neither the mother or father have green eyes that doesn't mean that it's impossible, genetics can travel back by generations" A familiar voice came from the doorway
"Ah Mika hey haven't seen you in the last couple of days" Lucy stated as she passed Nashi back to Natsu before getting up off the bed, as the others decided to take their leave with Lisanna gently handing Kai to Lucy, so that it was just the new family and the nurse.
"Yea the hospital been really busy lately instantly all think yay Mika's back now she can do our work gahh so annoying all these older doctors and then they go judging you on your age" Mika vented leaning against the wall hands behind her head. "Anyway how you four holding up, Lucy it seems that your magic is proving to be stable meaning you guys can be discharged tomorrow so ready to go home?" Turning her gaze to Lucy smiling.
"Yea as much as I appreciate the help ever bodies help it'll be nice to sleep in my bed again" Lucy replied smiling as she plopped back onto the bed still holding Kai who had seemed to fallen asleep.
"Hmm yea they're not the comfiest, I must admit I will miss you two err four I guess" The nurse corrected herself.
"Mika you know your free to come over anytime either at the guild or our house" Lucy offered as Natsu nodded placing Nashi back into the crib attached to the bed before repeating the action with Kai.
"Yeah that's not going to happen anytime soon unfortunately, you see I've taken a job over in Crocus that I'm heading to tomorrow as well as a few others lined up, so I'm going to be busy for quite a while I'm not just a baby doctor you know" Mika finished staring out of the window with a sad smile.
"So you're leaving?" Natsu question
"Yea, it's the life of a doctor, although I must admit the last few months with you two have been fun and exciting, you've been one of my best clients" Mika finished with a faraway look.
"Then you have to promise that if your ever in Magnolia that'll you'll come talk to at least one of us" Lucy demanded in a soft sadden tone. Mika looked at the twins sleeping in their cot before looking at Natsu and Lucy.
"Yea I promise, I gotta go pack my stuff, and we'll see each other off in the morning" Mika waved as she slowly left the room leaving them alone in a sadden silence.
"Hey Luce" Natsu spoke as he laid back onto the single bed signalling for her to follow.
"mmm" Lucy replied with little effort falling back as well laying half onto of her husband due to the small bed staring at the ceiling.
"Everything really is gonna change tomorrow" Natsu softly stated as he wrapped his arm around her.
"yea, for the first time it's going to be just us, You, me, Nashi and Kai at home, I know we have the guild to help but somehow it feels like we're doing this alone starting from tomorrow" Lucy continued in a whisper.
"Luce you should know by now you're never alone, I'll always be here and Fairy Tail will as well no matter what" Natsu replied kissing her shoulder.
"Yea, I guess you're right" Lucy replied turning her head to her side allowing her to make eye contact with her husband.
"Of course I'm right you weirdo" He smiled.
"Idiot"
"Luce you're still tired aren't you, go to sleep, don't worry I'll stay up" Natsu offered as he wrapped his arm around her head so that his hand covered her eyes.
"Thanks, guess I should while still can, since the next few nights are going to be bothersome" She yawned before dozing off.
"Night Lucy" Natsu gently kissed her forehead before he turned his attention to the cot and smiled.
"Things are definably going to change now"

Yay it's finally done, this chapter has bugged me for sooo long, hope you all enjoy it.
So with this next few chapters of Little Light small time skips will occur before each chapter as Nashi and Kai grow. Anyway I got some ideas on the next few chapters however if you have any suggestions or something you want to see in little light involving the twins on their first few months please feel free to let me know and if I like the idea il try my best to work it into the story, no guarantee though sorry.
Also a quick note I am an Australian so in my fic I will be using the word Mum instead of Mom , since mum is how we both read and write the word, so hope this doesn't cause any confusion in future chapters
