Little light 18 little droplets
Hey guys really sorry about the long wait for this chapter, have had an lot of uni assignments and after spending a long time writing those up which made it hard to want to rewrite what I have for this fic from paper to computer. Firstly to make it up I'll be releasing chapter 18 and 19 at the same time with hopefull 20 following soon in a few days time depending on the internet since I will be traveling for 2weeks.
So since I few people asked to see what happened with Gray and Juvia I decided to make this chapter based during the events of 17 but from the p.o.v of other couples, this is more of an experiment for myself to see if I can write these other charaters so if you think that they are ooc at anytime please let me know epsicially with Gray and Juvia because truth be told I find them hard to write since Gray's charater changes and matures to oftens in the arcs as well as not coming across to be all that romantic and such while Juvia is barely seen being serious and usually just fangirling or stalking even though shes much more than that.
Also a quick note to guest stating that the story has less drama now, if I'm able to continue writing little light with my original outline than these next few chapters can be considred the calm before the storm ;)

Focus on Gray and Juvia
Gray P.O.V
As the guild got rowdier with everyone celebrating our return and Freed's victory in the typical Fairy Tail fashion which including an all out party, which including drinking and over emphasising previous fights and battles as well as what occurred during the exam. Yet it was frustrating because every time I tried to join in the celebration this overwhelming feeling of nervousness took over and it only intensified every time me and Juvia and I came into contact.
"Dammit how was flame brain able to do this" I thought to myself as I absentmindedly fidgeted the small box in my pants pocket, tonight's the night I decided propose to Juvia, I wanted to wait until after the party so she could have time catch up with those who stayed at the guild, however I quickly realized that, that plan wasn't going to work. "I really am hopeless when it comes to this" I laughed at myself as I got up from the table I was sitting and approached the beautiful water mage.
'Juvia' I made sure to speak in a serious but not harsh tone, while not noticing I was now only wearing my pants.
'Eh is something wrong Gray-sama' She replied with a curious glance, I only smile gaining more confidence at the mention of sama, no matter how many times I told her Gray is fine she still adamant on calling me Gray-sama, i've come to accepted it as one of her many cute little habits.
"hmm nothings wrong, actually it seems quite nice out tonight, so why not we take a walk… on by ourselves… cause you know we haven't exactly spent much alone time together...with the umm exam and all' I finally finished since my nerves had returned and it was getting harder and harder to finish that sentence knowing it was bringing that time closer. I see watch as she looks me up and down as if she knows something is up "crap crap crap" I thought to myself however relief washed over as Juvia smiled happily
'Juvia would love to' The water mage smiled.
"Great lets go" I blurted out a bit to fast before grabbing my girlfriends hopefully soon to be fiancé's hand effectively dragging her out of the guild hall, praying that no one had noticed us leave.

We had been walking for approximately half an hour and were currently on the outskirts of Magnolia halfway up one of the surrounding hills. I looked down at our intertwined hands and couldn't help smiling at the sight of tiny drops of ice that melt before they even touch the ground, an minor but amusing side effect that happens whenever we have held had hands while feeling nervous or excited which considered Juvia happened a lot when we first started dating, its funny I never realized till now how fortunate that Juvia was a water mage meaning my cold body temperature wouldn't bother her at all. We continued to walk together in a comfortable silence until we reached the top of the hill, that's when we finally let go of each others hands.
I couldn't help the feeling of happiness as I watched Juvia's face light at in amazement at the view we had from here, with the full moon illuminating the city giving it a brilliant glow. Glancing over at my girlfriend I noticed how she had both hands clasped together with a happy glazed look in her eyes. "Good shes in one of her fantasies , that means I have some time to figure out how to do this" looking around I quickly noted that there was no visible water here. After a few more minutes I decided that it was now or never. I walked over towards the stunning water mage admiring how the moons glow reflected on her body, when we were standing side by side a cough gently breaking her out of her fantasy, taking her hands in mine I stared into her azured eyes before starting. Juvia, I know that we didn't exactly start out the best, considering we actually wanted to kill each other"i laughed nervously as i rubbed the back of my head as Juvia just stared at me with uncertainty "And things between us afterwards were a bit rough, and in those early years I may have said or done some cruel things, that looking back on I am really sorry about especially with the scarf you made me" I stopped as memories of all of our times together as i looked to the ground "look I know that I am really stuffing this up right now and probably saying the worse things to say but Juvia, I may not have been the most evident when it comes to showing how much I love you but trust me after everything we've been through the good times, the bad time and the fun times I am head over heels in love with you, so umm if you would be ok with it' i stopped as i reached for into my pants pocket which i was gratefully that i hadn't accidentally stripped them at all, i pulled out the small box before kneeling to the ground "Juvia will you mar—uff" I was interrupted by a loud shriek before being tackled to the ground in a hug feeling light drops of water fall from the sky
"Yes Juvia will marry you" Juvia cried out as she leaned over me as i laughed while pulling ourselves into a sitting position before sliding the ring onto her finger.
"Jeez Juvia you could have at least let me finished" I mused as I pulled my now fiancé into a hug who only laughed in return looking down at the ground leaning into my hug
"I'm sorry, I guess I got a bit too excited" she whispered lightly, as stood up offering my hand to her pulling the girl to her feet.
"You're always get over excited but that's just you Juvia" I said in sincerity before pulling her into a kiss.
"Now as much as I love your rain lets go someplace drier someplace like our apartment" I hummed with a sly smile as we pulled away.
"Yea Juvia will like that" Juvia nodded with a small blush knowing the implication , before the we walked home together in the shimmering rain hand in hand.

Levy and Gajeel
Normal P.O.V
Levy signed in disappointed as she noticed her best friend had already left the guild for the night. She knew that considering the twins it was best if they left before things got too loud causing them to spend the night at the guild again, but dammit it all its been a while since Levy had a chance to just talk with Lucy as well as the blonde being her only friend who she could confined with about the current happenings with Gajeel. The bookworm signed slumping her head on the current table where Jet and Droy were having some sort of argument, glancing over at the iron slayer who was currently arguing with Cana about performing on the guild stage
"Why cant we have an open relationship, if we did than I would be able to talk about my problems and others concerning us with the other girls as well, and then you wouldn't have to hide your jealousy all the time….Ah Gajeel you idiot" Levy thought to herself in minor annoyance and anger at their 'secret relationship', sighing once more the script mage decided that the last place she wanted to be was in the guild hall where everyone was celebrating while she was feeling like this, so after standing up and grabbing her bag she left the guild hall to head home.
Across the hall Gajeel was still fighting with Cana before noticing that Levy was leaving, glancing over at Lily who was currently with the other exceeds, upon eye contact the two nodded letting Lilly know that he was leaving.
"Fine whatever you stupid drunk I'm going"
"What, what do ya mean ya going" Cana slurred taking another swig from her barrel.
"Well neither Salamander's nor ice face is here so theres no fun" Gajeel waved from behind as he left the hall, following Levy's scent.
"Hmmm shrimp seemed a bit mopy, wonder if its because of the exams or cause bunny girl left early"
After a few more moments Gajeel had caught up to the smaller mage.
'Hey shrimp what are you doing leaving so early and alone?" He asked
"huh oh im just tired, you know we've been fighting for the last few days, also I knew that you would have followed and its not like I can't take care of myself" Levy retorted slipping her small hand into his larger one.
'gihi yea it's be fun' The slayer laughed but noticed the still downcast look Levy held as they walked. Sighing Gajeel stopped walking before slipping his hand from hers to place it on her head in a comforting manner.
'You fought well in the exam and kicked a lot of the others arses shorty, just because you didn't win doesn't mean you have to be so down just means you get to kick everyones arse even more next time' Gajeel smirked while Levy only gave a small sad smile while looking downwards
"Yeah I know" Levy softly spoke
"Stupid Gajeel that's not the problem here, I know you want to keep us a secret from everyone in the guild so we can avoid the teasing or thinking that one of us has gone soft even though technically in dragon terms we're married, and I was fine with that but…now I wish we were more open, I want to be able to interact at the guild, hug and kiss each other in front of everyone and let everyone know that we're a couple" The girl thought herself as she looked up into her mate's striking red eyes as she remembered all the times Gajeel would glare at Jet and Droy so maybe now was a good time to bring it up using the fact that it"ll keep other from flirting with her as reasoning "hey Gaj…" she started before being interrupted by a loud scream followed by a sudden downpour of rain
"Dammit, what the hell" Gajeel cursed at the sudden rain "Sorry Shrimp but we better get home fast and this is the best way" Gajeel stated before picking up the small blunette and placing her over his shoulder as he started running.
'Hey ah Gajeel' Levy shriek at the sudden movement before signing and looking up at a newly formed rainbow "maybe next time" she whispered.

Lisanna and Laxus
Normal P.O.V
Lisanna stood at the front of the guild by the doors watching as the rain, while she assumed it originally had something to do with Juvia, it seems that it had initiated a natural downpour. However traveling through the rain was her only problem, the younger take over mage had no idea what she was going to do for the night. it was now late and most of the guild was either drunk or knocked out and the last thing she wanted was to spend the night there, especially after the tiring exam.
'hmm i can't go home since Mira-nii snuck off with Freed a few hours ago and i don't want to risk it' the girl started musing to herself unknown to the fact that she was now thinking outloud.
'I can go to Elf-nee and Ever's place but then again they both just got back and its the same problem...hmmm could go to Cana's but that may be too risky considering it's Cana'
'What are you doing?' a deep voice spoke causing the white hair mage to jumped, turning around a small blush formed seeing that it was laxus standing behind her.
'Oh umm hey Laxus what's up' Lisanna quickly replies.
'That's not an answer whitey, i want to know why you're up here making funny faces as you murmur to yourself?' The lighting slayer questioned.
'huh oh yea, well im just trying to figure out where to stay tonight, since my house may not be as welcoming to my presence' turning back to the rain outside 'I guess i can always go to Natsu's and Lucy's but it is a long walk and i don't have an umbrella' she continued talking, before feeling a sudden weight on her head covering her line of view, letting out a small squeak of surprised before moving her hand to lift whatever was on her head only to realize it was a coat more specifically Laxus's coat which was now resting on her head looking up Lisanna notices that the said man was standing in front with his back to her, before he starts walking outside only to look over his shoulder.
"You coming or what?" he called roughly
"huh?" was the takeover's only reply as she was still figuring out what was happening right now."look whitey you can crash at my place for tonight if you want' He said before continuing to walk causing Lisanna to blush before following him as she goes to take coat off of her head
"If you want to stay dry I suggest leaving it there" Laxus mentioned as he saw her moving to remove the coat
'oh...but..umm what about you?' Lisanna softly and nervously questioned
"im a lighting slayer a little water won't hurt me" he simply replied as they continue to walk side by side occasionally brushing arms or hands Lisanna noticed that not once did he look at her but she could've sworn she saw a slight blush as they walked together in the rain and for her that was more than enough.
Yay finnally finished this chapter took me twice as long because word was being rather slow for some stupid reason
