DAY 309
It was a month after ESSEX and SELENE joined the fleet when the cylon two baseships appeared and attacked. The cylons had the upper hand at first, inflicting damage to multiple ships including JUNO, ARGOS and the liner MORNING STAR. The battle quickly turned when GANYMEDES, POLYCAON, and HYPERION turned their primary batteries towards the baseships destroying one and heavily damaging the other before it was able to slip away.
HYPERION CIC
Major Jackson was looking over initial the casualty and damage reports when Admiral Tillman returned to the control table.
"What's the latest count?" Jason asked.
"One hundred and one dead, eight vipers destroyed and another two dozen offline. JUNO oxygen purification system, fire control and dradis are offline. ARGOS internal communication system is still out, but weapons control system should be back up within the hour. They're still making visual inspections to confirm damage." She reported as she looked through the papers cluttering the table.
"What about the cylon?" he asked.
"No word yet." She answered.
ARGOS
Commander Keller made her way past the damaged bulkhead and entered the brig. What she saw sent a chill through her. Lying on the ground was the body of Cavil with pieces of the wall panel embedded in his neck and chest. That is not what concerned her; it was the smirk on his lifeless face.
"Get up to CIC and have Major Roth inform HYPERION." Keller told the marine."
The Colony – Day 310
When Cavil woke his first reaction was to grab his neck and look for blood. All he could see at first was the thick milky fluid dripping from his hands from the resurrection tub. He slowly looked around the dimly lit room to see two of his counterparts. He looked around expecting two more.
"Where are the others?" he asked as he stepped out of the tub.
"It's just the three of us right now brother and we felt that with five of us knowing the our true nature was a bit much." One copy stated.
"It seems that our human problem has grow a bit out of control. Another fleet with four battlestars, more powerful than GALACTICA ragtag group!" The other stated.
"Yes, who knew!" the first one began sarcastically." That's not our only problem. Our old friend, the long lost number four has surfaced in that fleet as well, and he remembers almost everything and is talking to about a half dozen of our brothers and sisters."
The other two looked at each other and whispered back and forth for a moment.
"Well, this is a real mess you've created." One said.
"I'm not the only one that has a mess. It seems while I was downloading I learned of a little problem with the Six and the eight's? They want a new beginning with the humans?" The still wet Cavil expressed.
"It's just a minor issue. It's nothing that can't be resolved. One of the Cavil clones stated.
"You're going to have to rectify the situation with the other fleet immediately! The other said.
"That's is my plan! But first if you don't mind I would like to get some clothing and wash the goop off. The first one replied.
"Take two of the baseships docked here, another dozen will be waiting for you in one hour." One Cavil clone announced.
"What about a resurrection ship?" Cavil said as wiped his face with a towel.
"We don't have one available at the moment. Galactica destroyed one and the other was sent as a replacement. Two more are under construction but will not be ready for a few months." A copy replied as he watched the still wet newly reborn copy leave.
"I'm not aware of any resurrection ships under construction brother." A clone said after the door closed.
"Neither do I. After he leaves, embed a false tracking colony beacon in the hybrid of his baseships and prepare to move the colony." Cavil said to his clone as he turned towards the door himself.
