As the surviving Z-Fighters examined the area they were in ever since arriving on New Namek, though they would be able to easily sense the Namekian's as there isn't anything threatening the universe anymore…. Aside from Baby's upcoming threat in the next 14 years, something that they still had problems with ever since learning of what will occur. To Gohan, Goku, Goten and Videl however, they are still saddened with the death of Gohan's and Videl's future daughter, swearing that Baby will pay for what he did to her or in this case, what he will do to her as the Pan of the present doesn't exist yet at the point in time that occurred.
Piccolo, Trunks and Dende couldn't blame them since Pan is their family after all, plus what happened to her because of the hell that was caused by the Tuffle Parasite wasn't a pleasant experience to learn at all. Especially by the fact that it was much worse than being unable to save Icarus when Kid Buu had destroyed the Earth, while the now mature adult Dragon that Gohan had befriended with during their childhood years was the closest creature in his heart, Pan was an entirely different case as she was the daughter that Gohan and Videl never knew they will eventually have.
Then it suddenly hit them, Videl doesn't know how to sense anyone from their current spot since she was never trained on how to either sense someone's power level or to suppress her own Power Level to avoid being detected or sensed by enemy forces. Even Vegeta during his time on Earth with Nappa when they attacked the planet for its Dragonballs and for Goku after Raditz failed in his mission, managed to learn the ways of sensing someone's power level without the need of the Scouter before he left back for Planet Frieza 79 briefly in order to heal from his near fatal wounds and then straight for Planet Namek upon having discovered that Frieza had already left for the green planet with Zarbon, Dodoria and some of their troops for the Namekian Dragonballs.
Hell, she is still new to flying since that was the only thing that she learned and before the World Martial Arts tournament to boot… speaking of which, Gohan was still rather pissed off at Goku for keeping him from helping Videl when Spovovich was trying to kill her during their match in fact nobody did anything to help her, not even the referee who should have had the common sense to disqualify Spovovich right there and then. It was something that the raven-haired human girl didn't want to remember and isn't too happy about it herself but at the same time she was surprised that Gohan cared so much to try to save her from death had Yamu not told Spovovich to kick her off the ring and eliminate her from the tournament.
"Alright, I can sense that Elder Moori should be right around this area… shouldn't take us long to fly there" explained Goku, having managed to pin-point the exact location of the villagers that they seek as did Piccolo and Gohan since out of all the surviving Z-Fighters, they were the only three to have met Moori before so it would be easy to sense where he is. "Alright, let's get going."
"Yeah, it would be good to see Elder Moori again after all these years" added Piccolo while Dende silently nodded his head in agreement especially as the two were actually looking forward to seeing their fellow Namekian's again and at the same time, Piccolo knew he needed to warn them about the Black Star Dragonballs as well as Baby's upcoming threat to the entire universe. "We already have the three wishes we need to make; we just need to be sure that it would be enough for what is to come as Dende mentioned before that they may have upgraded the Namekian Dragonballs ever since the conflicts with Frieza came to an end."
"Well we better get this over with." Gohan said with a sigh he knew that the sooner that they can get to work on stopping Baby, just thinking of this monster made Gohan feel more rage than before, and he soon looked at Videl and knew she felt the same.
"I see the village you guys!" Dende said as they began to make their way to where they knew Moori would be. "Soon the Earth will be back then we can tell the others what is going on."
Once they heard this from Dende they all nodded knowing that it may not be easy, but this was something that needed to be done, not just for them but for everyone in the universe to stop them all becoming nothing more than slaves to a parasite. "Dende is right it may be hard for them to believe this, but they all have the right to know.
Everyone nodded at this as they knew now what they needed to do and get ready for. "Fourteen years that's how long we have," Videl said as a few tears leaked from her eyes she knew she needed to be ready, and if they needed to go to space they she would go with Goku and Trunks to keep Pan safe. "She never even got to fall in love."
"Well I wouldn't say that." Shamano said with a knowing smile on his face. "I think she was in love with someone but never got to tell that someone how they felt."
Gohan however noticed the tears that fell from Videl's eyes and couldn't help to put an arm around her for comfort. She was startled at first, but as she looked at Gohan, she could see the understanding in his eyes. It pained him to see Videl in such a misery and he wanted nothing more than bring comfort to her, knowing that she needed it.
"Relax, Videl. Now that we know about the upcoming threat, we'll have to be sure that this doesn't happen to us, ever. Besides, we have something worth fighting for, so that we can make a difference." He said.
"Thank you, Gohan. It's just…" Videl said, only for Gohan go simply hug her.
"I know. The hardest part will be to convince our families and friends about the upcoming threat. Perhaps we can also strive to gather some new allies in order for us to help out?" He asked.
"That could be a good idea," Videl said through a sob, "Perhaps we can show that parasite that he chose the wrong people to mess with then…"
With a sniff Videl looked back to Shamano as she wanted o know who Pan was in love with. "So who was she in love with then?"
All the alien did was, touch his nose when she asked. "Spoilers." Was all he said to her, his respond was her glaring at him with a serious expression.
"That doesn't help matters at all." answered Goten, having his arms crossed at the Trimonight especially as this wasn't exactly the time for games especially as they needed to who Pan was in love with perhaps it could help make a different. "Besides, she was willing enough to reveal that I end up falling in love with someone named Valessa, maybe you could…"
"Look, I know that you are hoping to find out about this situation but there are things I can't reveal at all." explained Shamano, trying to be as blunt as possible and trying to make the surviving Z-Fighters see the reason for what he is about to say. "Besides, I wouldn't want this to damage the space-time continuum much like Future Trunks not wanting to prevent the birth of his present-day counterpart when he warned Goku about the Androids' threat 10 years ago back when he came to this timeline."
"Guess that makes sense." added Trunks, starting to see the logic himself and if his future self didn't want to mess up history when he went back in time then Shamano is possibly trying to do the same as well since they might not want to jeopardize the relationship between Pan and whoever she ended up with prior to the whole mess much like Future Trunks not wanting to jeopardize Vegeta's relationship with Bulma.
"Well…. it's good to see that you haven't forgotten about us altogether." came Moori's voice, gesturing to Piccolo and Dende out of the group on the planet and the Z-Fighters turned to see that the Namekian villagers were one-step ahead of them, welcoming the defenders of the Earth to New Namek. "Feeling a bit homesick perhaps?"
"Moori! It's really you!" began Dende, glad to be having a great reunion with his fellow Namekian people, something that Piccolo couldn't agree with him on as while Kami and Nail no longer existed as individual beings, he can't help but feel some nostalgic value from being here. "Hi everybody! It's good to see you all again!"
Dende approached his people and was quick to greet them all on good terms, then turned his attention towards Moori himself since they needed to be ready to act as soon as possible. "Elder, you truly are the picture of wisdom and good health" he said, briefly bowing down to the elder in question and smile brightly.
"Ah Dende, you've grown into a strong and noble guardian of Earth haven't you my boy" began Moori, having no doubt that Dende has been making good on his word of being a great successor for Kami ever since the preparations for the Cell Games seven years ago.
"Well sort of… about that…" Dende scratched the back of his head nervously, hoping he would try to come up with the right way to explain the situation without causing too much of an alarm. "The Earth kinda met with a little accident and blew up…"
It wasn't for long until Piccolo cleared his throat. "Maybe I should explain the situation better if you don't mind Dende" he spoke to the young Guardian of the Earth, getting everyone's attention though while Goku, Piccolo, Tien and Chiaotzu they were able to recognize immediately… the rest were rather new to them but there was indeed something about Gohan that seemed rather familiar to them.
"Uh… sure Piccolo" said Dende, moving aside a bit so that Piccolo could approach Moori himself and that the others were better at explaining things than he himself can anyway plus Bee remained cautious of the Namekian's at first as they proved to not be so hostile, it was enough to lower his guard while Videl stroked the puppy's head.
"It's okay… I'm not sure what going on either, and then again I'm new to being on another planet" reassured Bee, since they were rather strangers to New Namek let alone any planet that is not Earth period but it seems Gohan, Goku, Dende and Piccolo were more used to it than any of the others as they've been to other planets before. "Then again, things do have a way to get weirder or even crazier by the second."
"I am sorry to intrude in this conversation but we have an important matter to discuss with you" said Piccolo with a frown on his face since it would be time to catch up latter, right now they needed to restore their home and its population as quickly as possible. "Our home planet, Earth had been destroyed by an evil monster… one much worse than Frieza. We need to summon Porunga right away, you might have felt it but the power belonged to a creature we just managed to barely defeat in the end to save the universe."
Moori nodded at Piccolo as the old Namekian as he then smiled at the survivors of Earth. "Yes we felt what had happened, so." He said as he continued to smile at them as moved out the way showing the Dragonballs that they had gathered.
"Whoa look at them their huge. There bigger than the ones that we have on Earth." Goten said as he looked at Namek's Dragonballs with awe in his eyes.
"Well what are we waiting for lets bring back the Earth. " Goku said with a grin as Moori looked over to Dende.
"Dende, why don't you do the honors?" Moori asked with a smile as Dende nodded at this with a smile of his own he moved closer to the Namekian Dragonballs and began to speak in the tongue of his people.
Everyone else just watched on as they noticed the sky was growing dark and the Dragonballs began to glow, and soon with a flash of light Porunga had come fourth looking down on the ones that had summoned him. "You who have gathered all seven Dragonball, speak now and I will grant you three wishes."
"Whoa he's huge!" Videl said as she stepped back to look at Namek's Dragon who was much bigger than she thought he would be. "Even more so than Shenron…"
"Okay then my friends it's all yours." Moori said as he looked at the Z-fighters as they nodded knowing that it was time, to bring back their home.
Gohan gave a sigh as he looked at Dende. "Alright are first, wish is to restore the Earth back to the way it was before Kid Buu destroyed it." Gohan said as Dende nodded and began to speak in Namekian as they all looked up at Porunga.
"Yes that is within my power to do so." Porunga said as he red eyes soon started to glow a bright red as everyone watched on, waiting for Earth to be brought back. "It is done now state your second wish."
"Okay now we just need to bring back everyone who had died since this mess had started, so can you bring ball all who died since the day of the world marital arts tournament apart from evil ones." Goku said as everyone soon looked at Porunga who was silent for a moment.
"Please let this work." Videl said as she closed her eyes and help both her hand together.
"I don't know but I will try as that is many lives that have been lost and will take time to bring them all back." Porunga said as with that said his eyes started to glow red once more.
After what appeared to be a few minutes, the glow in Porunga's eyes stopped as they returned back to normal. "It has been done. The entire population of the planet Earth, save for those who are truly evil, have been resurrected." he said to the surviving Z-Fighters from the Earth once again.
Back on Earth, on the Lookout, the families and friends of the Z-Fighters whom were initially hiding there all blinked as they found themselves back on the Lookout, alive and well. "Huh?! What… what happened, mommy?" A young girl asked.
"We're… we're back alive, Marron." The mother replied, blinking as she looked around. Android 18 held her daughter closely as she looked around after she got up, seeing that Bulma, Chi-Chi, Krillin, Yamcha, Puar, the Ox-King, Master Roshi and Oolong were all alive once more.
"What… what happened?!" Oolong asked.
"We've all been brought back to life; someone must have been using the Dragon Balls." Bulma said, seeing that they were all back among the living and no longer in the Other World. "Even our halos are gone."
"But who?" Chi-Chi asked them, seeing that the sky was not black and there was no sign of Shenron anywhere especially not at the recently restored Lookout which was rather strange as well as suspicious too. "Shenron wasn't summoned here…"
"They have gone to New Namek," Mr. Popo said with a light smile on his face as he knew what this meant as it happened before when Piccolo and Kami died at the hands of Nappa alongside Tien, Chiaotzu and Yamcha back when he and Vegeta attacked the Earth years ago. "Dende must have been taken to there and summoned Porunga there to make this happen."
"But… that means that Goku and the others…" Chi-Chi asked.
"They must have taken Dende to there and, from what I can feel; the evil Buu is no more…" Mr. Popo replied. "Thank heavens… Goku and the others have actually managed to defeat him while we were still dead!"
"Let's not be a bit too hasty on there and wait until the others are here to have full confirmation." Bulma said, wanting to play things safe.
In a forest to the south-west of the East District Area, a young man gasped out as he felt the sensation of having air back into his lungs, feeling his heart beating into his chest and generally feeling life flowing through his body again. Getting up, he blinked as he looked around in wonder, noticing that he still sported a small hole in the front of his black gi, but behind it was not a single wound, as if he hadn't been harmed at all.
"What the-?! I am alive? Is this… a miracle?" He asked, before moving to check himself in a nearby pond. Then, using the calm surface of the water as a mirror, the young man found himself staring into a mirror image. He looked like any normal Human male, although he did sport an athletic physique, befitting for a martial artist, but the one thing that stood out were his eyes. The eyes were completely green, including what is known as the sclera, the 'white of the eyes'. His irises and pupils were actually visible however, even though the irises had the same color of green as the sclera. For the rest, he had spiky hair of which one bang hung lazily over the right side of his face as he checked himself out. For the rest he wore a full black gi that was held together on his waist through a gray waistband, with dark brown tabi on his feet as shoes. It was as if he had been preparing himself for a kata when his life had ended before.
"Okay… this is obviously not a dream," he said, "Someone or something out there must have brought me back to life… I'll find out who did this later… I first have to be sure that this is really not a sick joke someone is playing on me. "
Elsewhere, a young woman was having similar thoughts when she got up in the park she had ran into. Checking herself out in a pond as well, just to be sure, she watched as her normal, ruby-red eyes showed the confusion that was present within her mind, while her long, bright to crimson red hair was gently flowing with the breeze of the wind. She wore a sleeveless gray dress with gray track pants underneath them and on her feet were brown boots.
"I… I'm alive…" She muttered, her voice shaking as she still had to comprehend the very fact that she was once more amongst the living.
She looked around in what could be seen in surprise or shock, expecting someone she knew to come after her as the bushes rustled for a brief moment… but no one was there… except for a few other Humans in the distance whom were also getting themselves together.
"I… I think I'll go home for a while… to see if I really am back to life…" She muttered to herself as she got up and walked away from the pond, scratching her head along the way…
In another place a young blonde girl woke up as she looked around, "I'm back alive does this mean…" She thought and looked up at the sky.
Back on New Namek, the Z-Fighters who had gone up against Kid Buu were rather relieved that their family and friends were all brought back to life plus it would help cheer Videl up a bit that her father Mr. Satan would be among those resurrected by Porunga's power though the question remains…. Were Pan and Vegeta reived as well? This is something that they needed to be certain on before they even consider making their third wish. "Hey Vegeta, we managed to restore the Earth and its entire population!" Goku quickly tried to make contact with Vegeta… who was still on the Sacred World of the Kais with Old Kai right now. "Did it also work for you and Pan?"
Goku's response with a mental huff from the Saiyan Prince, as he was still annoyed with the fact he is keeping Old Kai company while the rest of them are on New Namek. "Well for me it is pretty obvious that I am alive as are Android 16 and that buffoon Mr. Satan!" he responded as his halo had disappeared when Porunga had granted the second wish and the voice of Mr. Satan groaning is heard as well, causing Goku to beam up a bit.
"Well that's great!" he responded, continuing his conversation with his fellow pure-blooded Saiyan as he knew what that meant and how Bulma will be happy to learn of this herself when they are all back on Earth. "Plus since none of the evil ones were brought back to life by Porunga when we made our second wish, which means you're officially a good guy now Vegeta!"
"Don't push it Kakarot!" lashed Vegeta, though he was rather glad to be brought back to life himself so he can better deal with Baby when his threat comes to Earth in the next 14 years from now and he intends to become stronger than he is right now in order to accomplish that task. "As for Pan… I'm afraid she is still dead."
Hearing this, Goku didn't like the sound of this and figured he should tell the others that not everyone was revived by Porunga. "Is something the matter dad?" asked Gohan, hoping that it wasn't anything too serious concerning the wish and this caused the Namekians to talk among themselves the moment the elder Half-Saiyan referred to Goku as his father, which caused them to realize that the young man with him was indeed Gohan, the little boy that had befriended with after the conflicts with Frieza years ago.
"Well you're half right… I'm not sure how to put it either…" answered Goku, having no other choice but to tell them point blank on what Vegeta had revealed to him and how it is going to not only break his own heart but also that of Gohan's, Videl's and Goten's as well since it is not like when he revealed to his friends and loved ones on Earth about how Vegeta and Gohan were both dead despite the fact that he didn't know the latter was still alive, having recovered on the Sacred Kai Planet to be trained by Shin and Kibito to be ready to take on Majin Buu again. "Vegeta, Android 16 and Mr. Satan were among those revived by Porunga… but Pan; it seems that she can't be brought back."
"What?!" exclaimed Goten, not wanting to believe this while Videl dropped to her knees and Gohan gritted his teeth at the fact that Porunga couldn't revive Pan for some reason despite having been upgraded to bring more than one person back to life.
"I am afraid the one known as Goku is corrected…." began Porunga, being the next one to speak and wanted to be certain that the Z-Fighters present are listening as he wasn't going to repeat himself before saying what has to be said. "The one you call Pan cannot be brought back to life as she has not been born yet in this timeline and I cannot risk creating a paradox as the Pan who died cannot go back to her timeline."
I had a feeling he would say that…. thought Shamano, even Eternal Dragons like Shenron and Porunga had limits and know what is best for the timelines but is unsure of if these Black Star Dragonballs would have such limits due to learning from Piccolo that they can grant any wish that even Shenron or Porunga cannot grant, plus it wasn't anything like Future Trunks being brought back to life by Shenron after the defeat of Super Perfect Cell at the end of the Cell Games as he had a future to go back to unlike Pan and he is starting to see how the others are feeling about learning this for themselves. "It seems that there's nothing more we can do for her and don't bother trying to waste your third wish just to bring her back it won't work at all, I'm sorry."
Videl just looked at the ground at hearing this as she looked over to Gohan. "We should just make sure no one remembers Buu now, just our close friends and family." Videl said as she hated this as she wondered just how bad Pan's timeline really was.
"Okay Videl…" Gohan said and pulled her closer to him as he looked at Dende. "Okay Dende, you know what to do." He said as his friends just nodded and looked at Videl as he began to say the words as everyone else watched Porunga's eyes glow.
After just a few moments the glowing in Porunga's eyes stopped. "It is done the people of Earth will not know of the one called Majin Buu apart from your friends and family, until next time far well!" He said with a roar and as his body began to rise into the sky, and with a flash of light the seven Dragonballs went in different directions.
The green sky soon returned as Moori just looked at his friends from Earth, as each one smiled knowing that, for now at least everything was going to be alright. But he could see the pain that was in the woman's heart about her daughter not being able to come back, but knew that something's needed to be well left alone.
"It pains me as well, Videl. All that we can simply do is to heed to her warning and ensure that we can avert such a future." Gohan said.
Videl nodded at this, shuddering at the mere thought of the hell that Pan had to go through. "Let's go back to the Lookout on Earth everyone," Goku then said, "our families and friends there are waiting for us."
"Just don't forget to stop at the Sacred Kai Planet to pick up my dad as well as Mr. Satan and Android 16 before we head home" suggested Trunks, wanting to remind Goku that Vegeta wouldn't want to be stuck there with just Old Kai, Android 16 and Mr. Satan which caused the raven-haired pure-blooded Saiyan to sweat-drop as he nearly forgot about them.
Back on Earth, the young man was wandering around towards the nearest city, having just fed on some fresh fruit and water he found in the region he woke up in, having nourished himself properly. "Wow, this is so unreal… everyone seems to move around again as if nothing happened… well, its business as usual I guess." He said, looking around as he had a small bag with him.
Elsewhere, the red-haired girl was utterly confused. She saw her mother and her two younger siblings had left to do some shopping, but they did mention in a note that their father was nowhere to be found. She scratched her head at this, wondering what happened to them.
"Well… this is so strange… I… I think I need to lay down for a little while…" She said to herself as she went to her room…
In the meantime, the Z-Fighters had left New Namek and arrived back on the Sacred Kai Planet as Vegeta, Android 16 and Mr. Satan were waiting with Old Kai for their return while Mr. Satan is still wondering how he could be alive to begin with as he noticed the halo above his head was gone and the fact that he is also on the planet where Kid Buu previously killed him. "It took you long enough Kakarot!" scowled Vegeta as he finally stood up to approach his fellow Saiyan, a bit pissed that Goku was taking so long just to remember to come back for him. "What did you do with the Third Wish, just out of curiosity…. You better not have used it for something stupid as knowing you, it probably is!"
"Actually it wasn't a stupid wish" explained Goku with the Saiyan Prince grabbing him by the shirt not helping matters at all since after having learned that Pan can't be revived by Porunga since she wasn't born yet in this timeline and cannot return to the timeline she came from, he could never forgive himself for what had happened in that future. "Videl suggested that we use the last wish to erase the memories of Majin Buu from everyone except our close friends and family so you have nothing to worry about aside from Baby's eventual threat."
"What?!" exclaimed Vegeta, not wanting to believe what he was hearing since it was because of Buu's anger that caused Super Buu and ultimately Kid Buu to come to be to begin with. "Are you insane… what if the evil inside of him is not all gone?! What if he was to blow a stack again and produces another killing machine?! What then?!"
Everyone remained silent at this and while Vegeta made a good point, it didn't give him the right to say what he did. "Listen Vegeta, we have bigger problems to worry about plus my dad befriended with this Buu and I'm sure he will make sure nothing like that happens again!" Videl was now lashing out at the Saiyan Prince, something that no other human female aside from Bulma would do. "Things have changed and from what I heard while we were on New Namek, you were actually evil yourself as you killed innocent Namekian Villagers in your quest for power and wanted to destroy the universe years ago!"
This ended up getting Vegeta angrier than ever with that remark, even if it was true and it even shocked Goten and Trunks by the fact that Vegeta used to be evil. "Do not compare me with that thing, we're not the same!" snapped the Saiyan Prince, looking ready to blast Majin Buu and the raven-haired girl was in his way though at the same time, he wouldn't want to end up on Gohan's permanent bad side after seeing what happened with Kid Buu. "Damn you!"
"I can just image what you think of me and Zangya as well as Androids 16, 17 and 18…." commented Piccolo, who like both Majin Buu and Vegeta, started out as evil along with Zangya, Android 16, Android 17 and Android 18 which further shocked both boys more than ever to learn this new information.
"You're different Piccolo…" said Videl as Gohan was the reason why Piccolo went from being evil to becoming an official good guy by the time of the conflicts with Vegeta and Namek during Gohan's childhood years, much like the conflicts with Cell had helped to change the three former Red Ribbon Army Androids from bad to good and Zangya's being betrayed by Bojack in the final clash with him and his gang opened her eyes too. "Still, with nobody on Earth even remembering Buu apart from our close friends and family, it would make hiding him from the public a whole lot easier."
"She has a good point, plus if it wasn't for the Good Buu helping us… there wouldn't have been a universe left to save" added Goku, deciding to step in and vouch for the Good Buu much to Vegeta's anger and dismay. "That gives him a right to live as much as anyone else would you say? Plus you remember when Krillin was about to kill you when you were trying to escape from Earth after our initial fight with each other and I convinced him to let you live so we could show we're better than that and we won't sink to your former level."
It proved to be enough to cause Vegeta to lower his hand, causing Videl to be relieved that it was resolved before something else went wrong. "Now that I think of it Videl just gave me an idea that could benefit everyone even more, we can probably keep Buu indoors and hidden from the public for the first six months" he spoke, hoping that the others would agree with him on that as he was sure Mr. Satan would approve of this completely since he was the one who befriended with the good Buu even before Super Buu came into the picture. "Well then, it's all settled right?"
"Yes that's a brilliant idea…." muttered Vegeta in a sarcastic tone, hating that they even brought up his former actions as a villain before he officially became part of the Z-Fighters and gritted his teeth as he hoped he wouldn't regret this. "If you don't have a brain…"
"Alright everyone just shut up okay!" Shamano yelled with anger clear in his voice as he mumbled something under his breath. "You're all tired and it's been hard look for now lets just go to Earth alright, as I'm sure your family's all want to see you."
"He's right we don't have time for this Buu is good now, let's just focus for this moment in time alright." Gohan said as he looked at his father, his little brother and then lastly Videl. "Let's all go home."
Using Instant Transmission, Goku transported everyone, including the Good Buu, towards the Lookout where the others were. First out of sight to give them a surprise, as Chi-Chi turned around when she heard someone calling her name, she went wide-eyed at seeing Goku. "Hey, dear." Goku said, waving to his wife, mere seconds before she glommed him and gave him a tight hug.
"GOKU! You came back!" She said, smiling and crying with joy, just as Bulma approached Vegeta, along with Krillin, Android 18 and Marron, shortly followed by the other Z-Fighters.
#18 saw in a short moment that Gohan had an arm wrapped around Videl and that she didn't mind it one bit. She also noticed that the two seemed a bit gloomy, despite smiling at seeing the happy reunion between Goku and Chi-Chi, but decided to keep her mouth shut, not wanting to ruin the moment…
In fact, her biggest surprise is that #16 and her younger brother #17 were present with the rest of the Z-Fighters and then there is the blue-skinned female that was also there, while she had no idea who Zangya was… she didn't seem like a threat at all. "Been a long time hasn't it sis…" began #17, he actually missed his older sister after all these years and he kept #16 company from time to time following the conclusion of the Cell Games.
"Yes it has…." #18 was unsure of what to say, though it was a relief to see her brother again after 7 years of him and #16 staying hidden from the public, wishing it had been on better terms despite the defeat of the evil Buu. Sure she, Krillin and Yamcha were training on Grand Kai's planet under King Kai when Super Buu initially killed them and it helped them pass the time until anyone that survived the conflicts would wish them back to life, it didn't change the fact that aside from her husband Krillin and their daughter Marron, #17 was still family. "You could have called or written to let me know how you are doing from time to time, you know!"
Remaining silent, #17 smirked at his blonde-haired twin sister and had a feeling that some things about her never changed. "I've had a bit of trouble and besides, we have more important matters to discuss right now" he replied, though it was then that he glanced at Marron, the little girl looked to be pretty happy to actually see her uncle.
"Uncle!" she said, latching onto his right leg and hugged it tightly which caught #17 off-guard for a moment though he gave a rare smile as he stroked the blonde-hair of his young niece but deep down, he felt hurt that . "Is it all over? Is that monster finally dead?"
"Yes, he is however…. It seems there's something much worse that we need to prepare for" he replied, getting the attention of #18 and Marron especially since it concerns everyone at the Lookout not just those part of the core Z-Fighters themselves as he gestured for the two to come with him then noticed that Krillin looks different as well. "I didn't think you actually grew some hair since we last encountered each other."
Krillin remained silent, he wasn't so trusting of #17 right now though he is #18's twin brother and it didn't seem right that he had previously been absorbed by Cell in his quest to achieve his Perfect Form so at least he can try to give the guy a bit of slack. "It's a long story actually…" he said, trying his best to interact with #17 without any sort of fuss in Dende's Lookout. "Still, I didn't think you would get a jacket, then again you were hiding among the citizens of Earth for the past 7 years so it makes sense that you'd try to blend it."
"Yeah but look we need to all tell you something." #17 said with a frown on his face, and once he said this everyone who had not been on the Kai Planet wondered just what happened even Mr. Satan was a little confused by this as well as he looked over to Videl as he saw the tears in her eyes.
"Videl what happened?" Chi-chi asked as she moved over to the young girl who had tried her best to be strong and seeing her cry like this Chi-Chi couldn't help but wonder just what had happened to make her like this.
So she looked over to her husband, after all he was there with her so he might know just what had happened. "Goku?" was all she said as she looked at him and saw that he was frowning as well and could tell that he was just as upset.
"Chi-Chi, what we're about to tell you is of the utmost importance, so I need you to be quiet and listen closely. This goes for the others as well." Goku said, his expression being serious.
"Uh… sure…" Chi-Chi said, getting nervous.
"Right after we have defeated the Evil Kid Buu once and for all, we were visited by a young girl from a different timeline. She was mortally wounded and, using the last of her powers before she passed away, she left us a warning of another threat that comes from her time, which is about 14 years from now. A parasitic alien known as Baby has arrived on Earth and implanted an egg inside each of your heads, through this controlling each and every one of you as if you were his servants without a free will. The only few who didn't get possessed were the young girl, whose name was Pan, as well as Mr. Satan, Mr. Buu, Uub, Piccolo and myself. Because of this, Baby used you to attack us at his side, with you claiming to be reborn as 'Tuffles', a race of aliens thought to be exterminated by the ancient Saiyans many decades ago, before we all were even born, save for a few of the elder ones of course." Goku said.
"So, this parasite is effectively controlling all of us in that future?" Krillin asked.
"That's right." Goku said.
"How did you find that out?" Bulma asked.
"Bulma, imagine each and everyone you cherish or hold dear to you suddenly see you as the enemy and want to kill you, including those people you've been friends with for a long time and of which you KNOW they would normally never ever do something like that," Goku said, "imagine as if the entire planet was after you, simply because of a sudden mindset that you are one of their enemies whom did them wrong in the past. That's what pretty much happened to Pan and those few who didn't get possessed. It's very likely that every one of them is already dead or left for parts unknown in that timeline." Goku said.
"That's horrible… but why are you telling me this?" Chi-Chi asked It was at that moment that Goku looked his wife straight in the eye.
"Because Pan, who gave us that warning before she died, was our granddaughter." Goku said, before gently grabbing his wife.
This pretty much shocked everyone of the group, except for those who knew about it already. Before any of them could ask why Goku held Chi-Chi, their question was soon answered as the shock to her system was big enough to trigger another fainting spell.
Bulma in the meantime saw Gohan holding Videl close, feeling the girl shivering in his embrace. It was then that she put two and two together.
"But… if Pan was their granddaughter… does that mean…" She said.
"Yes, Bulma, she was my daughter… and Videl was her mother." Gohan said, his voice soft, but seemingly straining as he was having it very difficult to keep his own emotions under control, while trying to comfort the distraught Videl at the same time.
Even Mr. Satan was outright horrified and was unable to say anything and pretty much allowed Videl to be comforted by Gohan at this. "Just out of curiosity Goku, who exactly is this Uub?" asked Mr. Popo, as neither he, Chi-Chi, Bulma, Mr. Satan, Olong, Puar, Krillin, Yamcha, Marron, Master Roshi, #16 or #18 have ever heard that name before unfortunately. "Although the name itself does sound familiar to us in some way…"
"That's because Uub is actually the reincarnation of the evil Kid Buu we defeated back on the Sacred Kai Planet" explained Goku, answering Mr. Popo's question and shocking everyone present, at least everyone who was unfamiliar with who Uub was or is. "He won't be born for another 9 years but I'm sure that if it was the case in Pan's timeline then King Yemma would have Kid Buu's soul reincarnated so that he and I can actually face each other in a real fight that isn't one to the death…"
"Oh man, this is starting to sound like Future Trunks' warning us about the Androids isn't it?" added Yamcha, having not forgotten about the warning from Future Trunks that Goku and to a lesser extent Piccolo due to the latter's Namekian hearing the entire conversation between Goku and Future Trunks despite the two of them being at a distance at the time on the day Goku returned to Earth from Yardrat which was also around the time Frieza and his father King Cold came to attack only for Future Trunks to make quick work out of both tyrants. "Now that I think of it, I wonder how you died this time since it can't be another virus you get before this Baby shows up is it?"
Goku shook his head at Yamcha's response and his expression darkened. "Not this time Yamcha, for my death in Pan's timeline… you could actually blame Pilaf for that one" he commented, causing Yamcha, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Master Roshi, Olong and Puar to be more shocked than ever the moment Goku had revealed the name of his childhood foe Emperor Pilaf as normally the Pilaf Gang is not even a real threat to the Earth at all more so since Pilaf himself is usually self-foiling most of the time.
"Wait, back up a moment…" began Yamcha, deciding to speak up again and hoped he was hearing right since it was years since they last fought Pilaf and his gang during Goku's youth. "Pilaf is the reason that you die in the future from 14 years from now? Come to think of it, how the hell is he even alive to begin with?"
"Does it even matter?!" exclaimed Vegeta, knowing that it wasn't the time or the place to question what the Z-Fighters who returned to Earth were telling the group as everyone is needed to be aware of this situation. "That idiot Pilaf stupidly turned Kakarot into a toddler due to an accidental wish from the Black Star Dragonballs right here in this very Lookout and he originally wanted to use them to wish for complete world domination! I mean seriously, even Frieza wanting to become Immortal and rule the universe made more sense than that moron's plan!"
"The Black Star Dragonballs?!" began Mr. Popo in complete horror as nobody should have known about them aside from himself and Piccolo, since the Nameless Namek created these dangerous orbs years ago before having separated himself into Kami and King Piccolo. "My word, this is awful… there's no telling what could happen should they ever be used for good intentions or bad…"
Piccolo nodded his head to confirm this. "While Gohan and the others are already aware of it, you guys need to be certain that no matter what happens, you are not to use the Black Star Dragonballs for any reason whatsoever" he explained to the others that they would be informed of the terrible effects to come. "As Popo pointed out already, the Black Star Dragonballs though stronger than the regular and Namekian Dragonballs, they can actually do more harm than good as they won't turn to stone and will be scattered across the galaxy instead of across the planet they are used on and within one year, should all seven Black Star Balls not be gathered and returned to the planet and the exact spot they were first used on then the negative energy left behind will instantly destroy the entire planet."
Their friends and family were all in deep horror at what the Black Star Dragonballs are capable of, even if they did not see what kind of Dragon is summoned from using them but now that they have learned of the negative effects then it would be best not to find out. "That's how Baby found out about them and the Earth since only Kakarot, Pan and Trunks went into space to try and recover them throughout the galaxy… plus Baby using the Black Star Dragonballs to wish for the Tuffle Planet to be restored but in Earth's orbit didn't help matters" added Vegeta with his arms crossed and a darkened expression on his face to add to this. "From what we also learned, it doesn't reset the countdown to Earth's destruction at all and to make matters worse… I end up becoming that disgusting Baby's permanent hose and managed to easily defeat and kill Kakarot!"
"Wait a minute…. Is this true?!" Krillin decided to speak up, normally he would feel scared but after dealing with the likes of Super Buu and training in the Other World, it was something he was starting to get used to. "If I remember correctly, Goku is the strongest fighter in existence thanks to his newly acquired Super Saiyan 3 form... surpassing that of Gohan from when the Cell Games and the conflicts with Bojack occurred so it doesn't make sense for Baby to even manage to kill him in battle like that."
"Normally you're right Krillin, unfortunately when Pilaf wished me back into a kid in that terrible timeline, it actually made me weaker than I am currently" answered Goku, frowning as he spoke to his best friend and the fact that the question made a good point still makes him wonder on that even right now. "For starters, I couldn't use Instant Transmission anymore let alone maintain the Super Saiyan 3 form at all while in child body. In fact I could barely maintain my normal Super Saiyan Form because of that."
"Not only that but Mr. Buu ends up dying in the conflicts himself… merging with Uub to become stronger and it still wasn't enough, leading to both perishing completely when Uub tried to take Baby on after the permanent fusion with Mr. Buu" added Gohan, lowering his head and not wanting to be further reminded of what had happened in the future that his late daughter came from which will be the future that will occur if they don't do something to change their fates for the better. "We're not lying when we say that future is far, far, far, far worse than the one that Future Trunks originated from at least his future was saved in the end after we defeated Cell in this timeline."
"My god… this is really messed up…." said Bulma, trying to take in everything that they were hearing up till now and more so as the others with her didn't know what to say about the situation. "I just hope it didn't happen to Tights as well since this Baby could prove a huge threat to the entire universe not just the Earth."
"Who is Tights?" asked Yamcha, none of the group present have heard Bulma ever mention someone like that before then again they were still new to knowing Uub is Kid Buu's future reincarnation so it would make sense.
"Guess I forgot to mention this did I?" responded Bulma, having realized that she neglected to mention it to her friends and let alone her Saiyan Prince husband and their half-saiyan son but had a feeling it would be unavoidable. "She's my older sister and she's a scientist like me, 10 years ago before I started looking for the Dragonballs, we actually ended up encountering an alien Galactic Patrolman named Jaco who had crashed-landed on Earth on island a scientist named Omori was living in and developing a time machine on… since then, Tights and I helped repair Jaco's spaceship after he saved my older sister and a pilot from a crashing rocket."
"And you never told us this…. why?" demanded Vegeta, his arms were crossed again and he gave his wife a darkened glare while the others were all wondering about this themselves which could have meant that Bulma knew about aliens that came to Earth even before Raditz' arrival and before the revelation of Goku being revealed as a Saiyan himself and Piccolo as a Namek.
"There was so much stuff that happened ever since then, I forgot to mention it and besides we had bigger problems at the time!" snapped Bulma, showing an expression that would make even the Prince of all Saiyan back off a bit. "Now that I think of it, we should at least tell Tights when we can since she is family as well."
Vegeta remained silent for nearly a few seconds but gave a huff, since he had no time to argue with his wife for the time being at least. "Whatever!"
"So, what do you suggest we should do now to fight this threat?" Android 18 asked, speaking up now, just as Chi-Chi regained consciousness. "I highly doubt training rigorously for the next 14 years would be enough even if we are to be better prepared for what will happen from what you already mentioned about that thing."
"I can answer that," Gohan said, "we already discussed this on the Supreme Kai's planet with Shin and the Old Kai, but feel that you should know too. Each and every one of you need to train for this, it doesn't matter if you're a fighter or a scientist."
"Train? How?" Bulma asked.
"I am not talking about training physically. This resorts to MENTAL training." Gohan said.
"What do you mean by that, son?" Chi-Chi asked.
"As Pan stated before, our counterparts in her timeline turned on her, because Baby possessed them by planting a mind-controlling egg inside of their brains. Because of this, everyone affected will think of themselves as fellow Tuffles and become openly hostile to anyone that has harmed them in the past, most prominently they will share the hatred that Baby had against everyone who is a Saiyan, due to the Saiyans having wiped out the original Tuffle race many decades ago. So what I mean by mental training is that everyone has to be sure that their minds and their willpower is strong, strong enough to resist and repel potential invasions of the mind. It doesn't matter who is pure of heart or has done things they aren't proud of in the past; EVERYONE, whether they are good or evil, is a target of Baby's mind control." Gohan said.
Chi-Chi was surprised, but nodded.
"How bad is that mind control?" Krillin asked, having kept Marron focused on what is needed in order to better.
"Let me put it like this; you would be able to still remember everything, so you can still identify everyone you know, but your mindset would make you believe you're a Tuffle instead of a Human and you'd see my father Goku, whom you've been friends with through most of your life, as your worst enemy that needs to die." Gohan said, "this goes for you too, Bulma; you'd see dad as nothing more than a filthy ape instead of the person you've known since most of your childhood.
This brought a shock to Krillin and Bulma both, especially the latter whom has met Goku throughout her first ever Dragon Ball hunt so many years ago while the former only met him when they started training on Master Roshi's Island for their first .
"I'll join in on this," Chi-Chi said, surprising most of the group with her sudden determined demeanor. "I'd rather die than seeing my family as my enemy."
"So will I," Krillin said, "I will not let myself be victimized by a parasite and do things that are either out of my own control or that I would not ever do in my life…. It was already bad enough that Garlic Jr's Black Water Mist brainwashed almost everyone on the planet years ago but Baby's method of control people is even worse."
"I stand by my husband." Android 18 said.
"Good, but keep in mind that you have to train Marron as well." Videl said, her own determination showing again.
"We'll do whatever it takes to keep our child safe." #18 responded then took a glance at her younger twin brother who was still unsure of being part of the group or not. "What about you, 17? Are you with us?"
There was silence from the black-haired Androd since he had been in hiding for a while up to this very day, and then he opened his eyes to look at his sister. "You know I'd have no choice never the less, much like when we were kids before becoming cyborgs" he replied back after a bit of silence since Android 16 would be more than willing to keep Baby from ruining the planet that he had become protector of ever since the events with Cell. "Of course I'm in."
"You wouldn't count me out either would you?" came Zangya's voice, getting the attention of the rest of the group due to being just as involved in this as they were. "I'm not a permanent member of this group you are part of and I prefer coming and going as I please… But anything is better than being a mindless slave for the rest of my life."
"I'll join in too," Bulma said, "perhaps I can help with finding ways to block unwanted parasites from invading our minds. I just need the right information on what you know on Baby's capabilities."
"Understood," Gohan said, "although you should consider taking up meditation as well."
"Meditation?" Trunks asked.
"Yes. It's basically one of Piccolo's preferred training methods. This is the kind of training that I strongly recommend, since it's not only beneficial for your health, but you can also use it to seek inner peace within yourself and/or clear your mind so you can focus on your other everyday tasks more properly." Gohan said, to which Piccolo nodded in recognition.
"It can also be used to increase your own power by building your internal energy." The Namekian added.
"Well I know I won't need any of this training." Shamano said as everyone looked at him wondering just what he meant by this… though was he just going to leave. "Unfortunately there are things that can't be changed such as fixed points in time, Future Trunks might have already been aware of it when he first came back in time so I'm certain Pan may have known this too before she died…. In fact, I am going to be leaving this planet shortly since I am not one to stay in one place for too long much like Zangya doesn't."
"Why am I not surprised?" asked Zangya, in a sarcastic tone while everyone else was shocked by the fact that Shamano was going to be leaving Earth rather than stay to train for their upcoming conflict with the new threat they were warned about. "Typical, it's just like you Trimonights to leave when things are starting to get good."
Shamano on the other hand ignored Zangya's comment at his kind, even though he knew secrets that are too dangerous to reveal. "I have my reasons you know Zangya, one of them being I have to keep the balance of the universe intact like I did before" he answered her, with a darkened expression on his face that isn't difficult to hide. "Besides, I'm sure the Z-Fighters could make use of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber since the door should be fully-repaired to its original state when the Earth was wished back damage free."
"Oh yeah, that's right… Plus Gohan and Piccolo can use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber one more time in order to do an entire year of training for a single day" began Goku, realizing that Shamano made a great point on the matter since the Z-Fighters need all will need all the rigorous training they can get since an extra year can help big time. "I don't need to use it since I already did two years of training for two days total, the first was when I was training under Kami before the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament and my second and final day was when I was training with Gohan in order to be better prepared for Cell, now that I think of it…. Vegeta already had his two full years of training for two days in the Time Chamber himself but I'd have no doubt he has other means of getting stronger in the next 14 years."
Everyone remained silent for a moment and to the rest of the Z-Fighters, they were starting to realize why Goku had previously said that he and Gohan didn't need another turn in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber around the time they were preparing themselves for the Cell Games. "In that case, we should be certain that Mr. Buu, Goten and Trunks get to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for two days maximum in the very least" commented the Namekian Warrior, being the first of the Z-Fighters to speak up. "Then again, I highly doubt Mr. Satan would be able to handle something like this even if he is the World Champion."
"Yeah, still my dad offered to allow Mr. Buu to live with him and me to better keep him hidden for the first six months plus the rest of you shouldn't have to worry about what will happen if they see Mr. Buu in the public, we used the last wish from Porunga to erase the memories of Majin Buu from everyone except any of us" added Videl, knowing that what she is going to say next would shock them even more than ever but she decided to get it out. "As for the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, I'd like to at least train with Gohan for the first day I have in there and then see how I would do training by myself with the second day."
"What?!" exclaimed Mr. Satan, being the first one to react to what Videl was saying but then again he had no idea of what it's like inside that place himself due to no human being ever going inside the Time Chamber to Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Goten and Trunks they wondered what made the raven-haired human female want to go through with it as they were more used to the training area as no normal person could last in there. "Are you insane? You don't know what's in there, besides I would never forgive myself if anything was to happen to you like when that evil Buu absorbed you before!"
"Mr. S is right Videl, while dad, Piccolo, Vegeta, Goten, Trunks, myself and possibly Mr. Buu would be able to handle training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber… I'm not so sure you wanting to train there would be a good idea" said Gohan, he was just as concerned for Videl's well being as her father was plus the fact that while Shin and Old Kai did help her become stronger than she was previously due to awakening her hidden potential, going into a place like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber might be out of the question. "If you step over the threshold of the training area even once, it will immediately bring you into 10 times Earth's Gravity, not to mention the air gets denser and the temperature fluctuates the deeper one goes into the training area. I'm not so sure a normal human being would even handle such a thing let alone survive it."
"Look, you two can try to protect me all you want…. However Baby's threat concerns me too, not just everyone else here!" snapped Videl, her stubbornness was starting to overtake her entire body as she approached Gohan and tried to reach his height though she is still shorter than him while giving a serious expression. "Besides, if I hadn't stepped in during the final fight with Kid Buu, you and Goten would have died out there as even Goku in his Super Saiyan 3 form was having a hard time against him so there's no telling how much stronger Baby is compared to him!"
"She has a point, plus as I recall didn't Future Trunks point out when you guys fought the Androids 7 years ago that they were stronger than the versions of the Androids from his timeline?" commented Shamano, getting everyone's attention and reminded them of the conflicts they had against Android 17 and Android 18 prior to their change of hearts especially as the two also had proven more merciful than their Future Timeline counterparts not just stronger. "Plus if history does change due to Pan's warning, there's no telling if this timeline's version of Baby will be stronger than in hers."
"That's right!" Videl decided to speak again, whether either Gohan or Mr. Satan like it or not… her decision of training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber was final and nothing will change her mind least of all the boy she has grown to love since their time together. "Besides, you were willing to teach me to fly so it would be fair if I train alongside you no matter how much you disagree with it!"
"Damn…." Gohan silently cursed wishing that Videl wouldn't be so stubborn in this kind of situation even if it was for a good reason then again, he was starting to sound like his mother whenever she wants him to focus on his studies than on training to become a warrior, since she wanted him to have a good future rather than witnessing him risk his life out there against powerful foes like Vegeta, Frieza, Cooler, the Androids, Cell, Broly, Bojack and even Majin Buu. I can't turn her away like that but at the same time, I can't risk her safety allowing her to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, what can I do? What must I do?!
Gohan then had an idea, something that would satisfy any party involved. "Very well," he then said to Videl, "You can come with me in the Time Chamber for your first year. However, I will be watching you. I will personally train you, but you have to understand that the Time Chamber isn't to be taken lightly and as a walk in the park. You will soon see why. If I see you straining too much or if things do get too much for you to handle, I'll take you out of the chamber. Speaking of which, I wonder how it would be if everyone else who hasn't been in the Time Chamber would take turns going in there…"
"What are you nuts?!" Bulma asked.
"No, I'm not nuts; I'm trying to measure possibilities here. My dad and I still have one year left inside the Room, Vegeta and Piccolo spent their time, but for you, you'd still have the two years. The training will be extreme due to the difference in environments, but you'll be able to have a year's worth of training done in each day, basically extending the training time for you to 16 years. All you would need are experienced warriors to help you along the way." Gohan said.
"We should also try to look for more people to add in our ranks. Out of the billions of people, there should still be a few people around that have the potential to become great martial artists and perhaps become strong enough to keep up with the Human members of this group over time." Piccolo said.
"More people in our ranks?" Goku asked.
"Yes. If we can find more people to help us in this endeavor, we should be able to stand stronger against the upcoming enemy. Besides, it would also be a win-win situation for us, as we would be able to work on an additional defense line for Earth itself in case we have to take care of a threat on a different planet." Piccolo replied.
"Yeah right, as if more fighters following that buffoon's style would be of help." Vegeta snorted.
"Hey! I resent that!" Mr. Satan retorted.
"Hmph. Maybe you should put more effort in actually developing some decent martial arts skills instead of making a big publicity stunt out of everything." Vegeta replied.
"Not every martial artist is a disciple of Mr. Satan, Vegeta…" Krillin grumbled under his breath, "There should be plenty of fighters with different styles around, provided they have the determination and willpower to become stronger, as well as making sure that the extra power won't get to their heads."
"And there is also the matter of how they intent to use their powers to take into consideration as well. Not everyone is a goody-two-shoe like most of you are." Android 18 added.
"Look, we obviously have a lot to discuss, but don't you think we should all go home and get some rest first? After all, most of us have been brought back to life and others just came out victorious out of a life-threatening battle, so why not simply take a bit of time off, have a good rest to recuperate properly and then make plans accordingly?" Master Roshi asked.
"Look lets all just relax now guys I mean, we have had a hard day." Goku said as he saw the tried looks that Goten and Trunks had on their faces.
"We're not tired." Goten said as he gave off a yawn followed by Trunks.
For the rest of the day, many were just talking over what they should do and how to find people to help them, but as for right now they would have to relax with the ones that they loved. "Gohan I think we need to talk to that Shamano one more time, I need to know more." She told Gohan, hoping to at least find out a bit more on the Tuffle Race so that they know what they're up against for the conflict to come in the next 14 years.
Gohan nodded at Videl as he looked over towards said alien teen that seemed deep in thought. "Hey we need to talk to you!" she called, seeing that he was alone for whatever reason. "You okay?"
"Yeah, just having a lot on my mind right now." answered the Trimonight, since he wouldn't be around much longer as he has a galaxy to explore and is suspecting his ship would be brand new now that the Earth was restored, he hated that he had to abandon it when Kid Buu was about to blow the entire planet up. "So what do you two want?"
"We were wondering about this Tuffle Race, I mean aside from what Vegeta mentioned about them being all wiped out by the Saiyans years ago." began Gohan, being the first to speak concerning the race that the parasite was once part of. "Plus from what I've been noticing, your expression showed nothing but hatred ever since we first learned about Baby… Did something happen that made you despise them?"
Shamano gave them another darkened glare, since normally some things were better left unsaid however after learning of what happened to their future daughter, who can blame them for asking him about more history. "The Tuffles and the Saiyans once co-existed with each other, while the Tuffles were the original creators of the scouters and the original inhabitants of Planet Vegeta formerly known as Planet Plant before the Saiyans took over and wiped the Tuffle race to extinction… don't be fooled by what you were previously told." he began, knowing the story of the Tuffles and the Saiyans, including the Saiyan-Tuffle war that had occurred long ago however there were some secrets that no other race knew that were hidden beforehand. "My race was familiar with both the Tuffles and the Saiyans, let's just say that while they acted as a docile race who demonstrated no aggressive tendencies or internal strife, it was actually just a front for what they are really like."
"Are you serious?" asked Videl, shocked by what she was hearing while Gohan gestured for Shamano to continue what he is going to say.
"Yeah, I wouldn't be telling you this if you'd think I was lying kid" answered Shamano, confirming that it wasn't a joke at least since he was there when the dreadful event occurred. "Some of my people were killed because of the Tuffles and we never forgave them for what they had done since, least of all the Tuffle King who arranged to eliminate a possible threat to his reign. It was a complete fucking mess to say the least."
Both teens remained silent, trying to take in what he was telling them especially about this Tuffle King that Shamano mentioned that killed some of his people. "This Tuffle King that you just mentioned, was he a powerful being?" Gohan decided to ask him, hoping to shed a bit more light on the matter before confirming it to be true and if it is actually the same Tuffle King that Pan mentioned who contributed to Baby's creation.
"Yes and I have my suspicions that he created Baby from his own DNA long before his death at the end of the Saiyan-Tuffle war on Planet Plant" responded Shamano with a darkened glare on his face, which was never a good sign for either of the two teens present in front of him. "Unfortunately even I have no idea on where he sent Baby before his death since the parasite could be anywhere at this point in time as he is trying to make himself strong enough to recreate his race."
"So that means, that all of us on Earth then would be slaves just like Pan said." Videl said as she couldn't help but tighten her fists in anger at being a mindless slave. "And we also just have to wait then until we find him or he finds us."
"Not just the Earth Videl but all living things like I said before Baby can't use his eggs on me since my people trained to stop attacks on our mind." Shamano said and frowned once more at the thought of what Baby would do. "I know that the Tuffles also wanted my people dead as well."
"Pan also said he could get into people's bodies as well. " Gohan said feeling sick that Baby could do that and had a feeling he was Baby's second victim. "Wait your going to Pan's time aren't you."
"Yes I am, I need to see how bad the damage has become I mean from the looks of this, Baby tortured her so she must have been held captive for a while before she got away or maybe she was in hiding after Goku's death." The old Alien said with a frown clear on his face, "There is the fact she came here too I mean there maybe something that could have helped in her time but it was destroyed and I need to find out what it is then come back here to tell you, as he could help."
Gohan nodded. "Anything that can be of help can be useful, but by all means, be careful." He said.
"How can Baby possess people anyway?" Krillin then asked Goku as they were with Chi-Chi, Bulma and #18.
"From the information that Pan told us, Baby has the remarkable ability to liquefy himself and enter the targeted victim through an inflicted wound. Even the slightest cut would be enough; it basically allows Baby to enter the blood stream and move to his brain. Otherwise he could just envelop them in a manner similar to how Buu can envelop fighters he wished to absorb back when the Evil Buu was alive…"
"Is unusual behavior one pf the traits that can make you see whether someone is possessed?" Bulma asked.
"Not at first glance; in fact, infected people can pretty much act normal whenever they're among loved ones, one of their own kind, as if nothing has happened to them at all. But when they get angry, that is when they can get to the scary part. Pan mentioned this softly, but she has observed that whenever someone possessed gets upset, their eyes, the sclera included, will glow red and, when they enjoy talking down on a hostile target, can show an almost demented or deranged look on their faces. You could compare it to how Vegeta looked when Babidi possessed him back then." Goku replied.
Bulma gulped visibly at this.
"Is there any cure for the victims?" Chi-Chi asked.
"Maybe I can have one…" Dende then butted in.
"What is it?" Goku asked.
"The Sacred Water," Dende said, "my predecessor Kami used it once to free Earth's population from the Black Water Mist spread by Garlic Jr. This divine water can cure people victimized by brainwashing. In Pan's timeline however, my counterpart was possessed too however, so it's unlikely someone could actually get it from him to cure Earth's Population there. Not to mention it has likely faded into obscurity."
"And that's what I'm going to find out, something tell me that the Kais of that time would have thought of the same thing so I'm going there to see what became of it." Shamano said with a light frown on his face. "Then again I might get killed, but it will be worth it ."

Still, in any case I would like to thank both thedarkpokemaster and Martian Tempest for helping me finish this chapter and making it the first update of 2015 so I hope you all enjoy it as there will be some twist that I will use for the next chapter but I won't spoil them.
