A/N: Yes, named like the song...cuz it's amazing. If you've never heard Surrender by CashCash then go listen to it. It's so perfect in so many ways. No really, swear it was written for Riven, ha.

Also to note, I will be doing an overhaul of all the previous chapters to correct a lot of the earlier sentence structures AND errors. (I have an editor now! yay me!) Nothing will really be changing, just editing.

Anyways, this is it guys and girls, that scene I know some of you have been waiting for. Now I have to remind people that love scenes are not for everyone so I confined it to this one chapter so that the ones that didn't want to read this don't have to and feel like they are missing out on a lot of story-line. Though it is extremely hard to do this without some character development I tried to avoid too much of it but it is impossible with these kind of on going stories to completely eliminate it in these engagements, after all, this is a Romance fiction, so this was bound to happen.

This chapter is NSFW (Not Safe For Work for those who don't know what that means) and contains explicit content. You guys know my writing style so don't think anything has changed, I am still a very direct writer. Reader's discretion is advised.

Enjoy, R&R.

Chapter 23: I Surrender

Heartbeat.

That was the only thing she could hear in this moment. No screams of the past. No hopes for the future. No words of the present. She could not hear the words escaping the lips of the woman sitting before her that she had grown to...no...she dare not let that word plague her again. That word that ripped her apart long before the wounds of war; she dare not say it, however, the thundering proof of her existence raging in her ears would not let her forget it. So long she had gone, resenting those soft feelings, those tender touches, those warm embraces...those loving words. Her heart was not going to leave her at peace and soon Riven would find herself submissive to the one conquering it, exposing her true self. Noxus had failed to conquer Ionia, but Ionia did not fail to conquer her. Riven raised her hands up and cupped Irelia's face gently. The exile ran her thumb softly over Irelia's right cheek and watched her lovingly as emerald eyes slowly rolled shut. The Captain's skin was soft against her calloused, worn, fingers. Riven watched Irelia's eyes open slightly and upon meeting the half hidden orbs of jade, Riven decided that she had waited long enough.

Irelia did not resist her.

Riven slowly pulled Irelia forward and pressed her lips to the Captain's. The kiss was gentle and Riven held the Captain there, enjoying how soft Irelia's lips were. Irelia did not go stiff in her hands like she usually had. Riven could feel the warmth settled in the Captain's face when she pulled back a bit. A small smile pulled at Riven's lips, seeing Irelia in the state she was in. Riven blinked as hands roughly grabbed both sides of her face and pulled her back forward.

Irelia pressed a hard kiss onto the exile's mouth. How real it felt to her, to have someone want her in such a way. She felt so undisciplined as a dwelling want for the exile in return had bubbled to the surface; the loss of self control exhilarating.

This one action caused Riven feel the lust she had been fighting to suppress begin to take her over, setting all previous hesitations and concerns onto the back burner. The exile's hands slid down to the back of Irelia's neck and cupped the base of the Captain's skull. Riven pulled Irelia's head toward her as the Captain's hands left her face and mounted themselves onto the strong thighs below them so she did not fall forward from her knees and collapse, breaking the kiss in the process.

Eyes of jade looked up into the looming fierce fire red gaze that was already awaiting the meeting. Irelia could feel her breath hot against her own lips as she released heavy drawn out breaths while she stared into those Noxian eyes full of bottled restraint. Riven's hands were strong against her head as she felt held there in that position, wondering just what was going through the exile's mind. "Don't be gentle," Irelia breathed, "you're not a gentle person, so why be soft now? Don't be something you're not for my sake, Riven." Irelia winced slightly as the strong fingers holding her head started to press down into the nape of her neck. She grit her teeth and one eye squeezed shut as the pressure started to hurt; spines don't bend that way. Irelia's hands gripped down onto the muscular legs of the Noxian woman to the point that she could feel her nails digging into the tan flesh. She could feel herself starting to shake as Riven's grip stopped and held her neck at that same pressure and began to push her away. "Riven..." Irelia's voice was strained and shaking, "what...are...you doing?" She managed. Irelia squeezed her eyes shut from the pressure as Riven leaned down toward one side of her. The Captain flinched hard through her quaking being when she felt the exile's mouth near her ear, Riven's breath hot against the flushed tender skin. Did her comment anger Riven? Perhaps she felt challenged?

"They said Ionian's were spineless," Riven growled hotly into the Captain's ear. After holding the trembling champion at her mercy for a moment longer, Riven released Irelia's neck and her hands returned to her sides. She sat back up straight, "they lied."

Irelia slowly sat up and gingerly rubbed the back of her neck as Riven continued to speak. She could hear it in Riven's voice. The exile was starting to break down.

"I've shouted at you, screamed at you, thrown things at you, ran from you, shoved you, scared you, fought you...yet you still stand before me; unshaken. Nothing I did, nothing I do, would make you stop trying!" Riven gripped at her own hair.

The Captain looked Riven in the eyes, she could see the raw emotion behind those flaming irises.

"All you do is hold me...listen to me...care for me...stay with me...comfort me... be tough on me when you need to be...help me..." Riven raised her hands back up to Irelia's face once more. The exile didn't break Irelia's gaze as she felt the Captain adjust and straddle her legs over Riven's lap. Riven slid her hands free of Irelia's face and wrapped her arms around the Captain's lower back as she looked up at Irelia, whose hands ran through her platinum locks, keeping her head tilted back. Riven lowered her head, which in turn, caused Irelia to nestle her hips into the exile's lap so she could see Riven's face. Riven rested her cheek into Irelia's hand once the tender fingers slid from her soft starlight hair and cupped her face. "Nothing I do...keeps you away..." Riven's voice was low, "I cannot fight you anymore, Irelia... I don't want to fight you anymore..." Riven looked deep into the jade of the Captain's eyes, "I surrender..."

A slight hint of surprise flashed across the Captain's face when those words rolled off Riven's tongue. Riven, a stubborn, short tempered, hot blooded, Noxian, just vocalized the two words that a Noxian would rather die before saying... to her. Despite the ache in her neck from Riven checking to see if she had a spine, Irelia started to feel it fade completely away as she watched Riven close. Maybe this was Riven beneath the armor...beneath the blade...beneath the betrayal...a person with ambitions, dreams and feelings...who has been nothing but a prisoner to her fears and nightmares. Irelia rest her hand upon Riven's other cheek and the exile's eyes rolled closed, relaxing into the Captain's touch. "Give a warrior a sword, and they will fight just enough to survive," Irelia said softly, running her thumb over the scar upon Riven's cheek. She smiled tenderly when crimson eyes opened slightly to look at her. "Give a warrior a partner, and together, they will stand against an army," Irelia continued and looked Riven in the eyes. "Lower the white flag, Riven. I haven't been your enemy for so long...you need not surrender to me, when we can fight this, together."

No amount of words could ever be said to describe the way Riven felt in that single moment when those words escaped Irelia's mouth. No longer would she be alone in this battle for herself. A pure genuine smile pulled at Riven's lips. So this was happiness...a feeling she had long forgotten, buried under the haunted screams and nightmares. The way Irelia smiled at her in return caused Riven to wrap her arms around the Captain and pull Irelia close, embracing one of the few people who never gave up on her.

Irelia returned the embrace. That smile...the relief it brought to her was unrivaled. The way her heart beat in her chest, the way her cheeks flushed and stomach fluttered with the exile's very touch, could not compare to the feeling of when she witnessed Riven smile. That smile was infectious, warm and...happy... Riven was happy. Irelia blinked and pulled away from the embrace a bit as the sound of soft chuckling caught her ears. Irelia cocked her head off to the side a bit, her forearms propped upon the strong Noxian shoulders of the woman whose lap she still occupied. Irelia jumped a bit as a pair of strong hands ran down her sides and came to rest upon her hips.

"Ticklish are we?" Riven gave the Captain a devilish grin as she leaned forward and pressed her forehead against Irelia's. Riven pushed her thumb against the front of Irelia's hip and slowly drug her thumb up Irelia's side. The grin upon her face didn't falter as she watched the Ionian in her lap bite her lip, trying desperately hard not to laugh.

"S-Stop...!" Irelia half chuckled and semi-squirmed in the exile's lap.

"So you are, hm?" Riven's tone teasing and she rest her hand back upon Irelia's hip. "I'll keep that in mind." Riven's smile was warm as she looked into the gentle emerald eyes of the Captain, "being with someone like me...won't be easy," Riven's voice was soft.

"If I wanted easy," Irelia closed her eyes and whispered, "I would have given up long ago."

Riven slowly closed the distance between herself and Irelia and captured the Captain's lips.

Irelia tangled her slender fingers into the exile's soft starlight hair and pulled Riven forward as she leaned back in her lap. Her grip tightened, feeling Riven inhale through her nose and deepening the kiss. Irelia continued to kiss the exile and reclined towards the floor as far as she could without breaking the kiss.

Riven took the hint. Adjusting her body, Riven managed to hold Irelia up and uncrossed her legs before leaning over the Captain and letting her Ionian lover lay on the bedding. Riven pressed her hips down onto the Captain's as strong legs wrapped around her hips and the exile broke the kiss to catch her breath. Riven took deep breaths and looked into the eyes of the woman below her. Her breath was hot, her face flushed and lips wet and kissed raw. Riven would have it no other way. Feeling fingers still laced through her hair Riven didn't hesitate to lean back down and kissed the Captain harder, earning a soft muffled sound of approval and the legs around her hips tightening.

Irelia felt Riven's tongue graze over her bottom lip as she continued to kiss the exile in return. Her grip on the platinum hair grew tighter as she parted her lips and let Riven in. There wasn't much more she could hear other than the pounding of her heart within her ears when she pressed her tongue against the intruder. She started to feel the exile shift to pull away. Irelia softly bit down onto Riven's lower lip when Riven attempted to break the kiss to breathe.

A gruff noise escaped the exile once she pulled away and her lip was caught between the Captain's teeth. Riven straightened back up tall, resting on her knees, and looked down over Irelia laying upon her back before her. She ran her hands over the Captain's legs still wrapped around her hips as her eyes trailed over Irelia's body still wrapped tight in a towel.

Through dazed eyes and heavy breaths, Irelia looked at the exile's wandering eyes. The hunger behind them was like nothing she had seen within them before. Her gaze shifted down upon the exile's beaten body, the pale scars bright against the tanned skin. She could feel the crimson eyes of the Noxian warrior watching at her as she reached out and ghosted her fingertips over the scattered memories tattooed upon her hips and lower core. A mellow heat twisted its way south through Irelia's body the lower she watched her own fingers trace down the center of the exile's hips, eventually reaching the low brim of the semi-damp black pants concealing away Riven's lower half. Irelia's eyes flicked back up to Riven's face when strong hands had taken hers from the Noxian's hips and pinned them down above her head. Her heart raced feeling Riven's body so close to her own, a single hand now holding her wrists pinned to the floor. Irelia could feel her cheeks burning as she turned her head a bit and Riven pressing a kiss against her throat. A hard shiver rolled through her spine when she felt hot breath and teeth graze her ear.

"Do you trust me, Captain?"

Irelia's eyes rolled back a bit from the way the exile whispered into her ear. Her attention would take a sudden turn to her own body, feeling a hand slowly push its way under the lower part of the towel wrapped around her torso.

Her skin was soft and warm beneath her battle worn fingers as Riven caressed her digits over the Captain's stomach. The body subjacent her fingers arched closer to her touch. Crimson eyes flicked up to the face of the shuddering champion, her voice catching her attention.

"If I didn't trust you..." Irelia's voice quivered, feeling the exile's hand still slowly tracing up her body, "then you wouldn't be in my country...in my home...sharing my bed." Irelia shifted her gaze to the dark crimson eyes watching her studiously. Riven's hand stopped moving, coming to a rest just below her breasts. The way Riven looked at her...she was pretty sure the exile could feel the skip in her heartbeat. The longer she watched Riven stare at her with such lustful eyes, galvanized her own growing want for the self proclaimed Noxian defector. This was not normal for her. These feelings. These flourishing primal desires for another being. How savage these made her feel, heat settling in her loins the longer she peered into those semi-dilated pearlescent pools of crimson. How much longer would it take...before Irelia would lose all her sense of self?

Riven felt Irelia twitch as she leaned closer to the Captain. "Good," she said in a husky growl. Riven tilted her head to the side so she was near Irelia's ear once more. She felt her Ionian love flinch, "well now," she cooed, "The Ionian Captain of the Guard, sharing a bed with a Noxian. How the tides have turned." The exile smirked next to Irelia's ear.

"No," Irelia said gruffly and turned her head to see Riven's face. Her voice was confident as she pressed her forehead against the semi-surprised Noxian's forehead, "The Captain of the Guard is bedding an Exile," she stated, a smile on her face, "and ready to love a Noxian."

How the tides had turned indeed, for now Riven was the one silenced. What words could she have said in return? Returning words mattered little now. Riven kissed Irelia roughly and released the Captain's wrists. Riven groaned softly into Irelia's mouth when fingers tangled tightly into her snowy white locks once more. The exile brought her hands down to the top of the towel concealing Irelia's upper body while she passionately moved her lips against her Ionian lover's. Only the Gods knew how long it had been since she had shared such physical connections with another. By the Gods how she missed this. Riven broke the kiss, feeling Irelia pressing her hips against her own and the grip on her hair tightening when she looked down at the warrior under her.

They were both gasping for air, faces burning, sublimate eyes locked on one another in acceptance of the other's feelings.

Riven shuddered as Irelia's fingers untangled themselves from her hair and tenderly caressed down her neck and over her shoulders. The innocent little look the Captain gave her sparked a ravenous impulse deep down within the exile. This twisted, disgusting, want to make the Captain scream for her crowding her thoughts. Irelia had told her not to be gentle, not to hold back, but Riven continued to restrain herself, and Irelia knew it.

"Why are you holding back, Riven?" Irelia tilted her head off to the side and teased her exile, her nails softly dragging down over Riven's bare shoulder blades, earning a shiver from the woman above her hard enough that her teeth chattered slightly. All her life, she had been told to be disciplined in mind and body, but now, feeling these primal urges...these human desires...these undisciplined impulses...it was beyond her balanced comprehension. It felt so right to let go of self control in the arms of one that she could trust.

"Why are you being such a little temptress?" Riven growled, biting her lip as Irelia drug her nails lower down her bare back.

"Because," Irelia's fingers curled into the top of the bandages wrapped around the exile's chest, "you and I both know that you're holding back. You are not a gentle being, Riven," the Captain leaned up and whispered into the Noxian warrior's ear, "so do what your people know best and take what you want."

Riven didn't feel insulted when Irelia said that. It was true. Noxians by nature were creatures of habit like that; find something they want and fight to take it. What else was to be expected of a person from a land built on such ideals? If Irelia wanted her unrestrained then Riven now felt obligated to deliver. "So eager to be claimed," Riven's tone was provocative. She grabbed the Captain's hips tightly in her hands, earning a sharp gasp of surprise from the Captain, and slid Irelia further under her as the exile leaned over her, looming over the Ionian that wanted her this badly.

Irelia hissed slightly, feeling fingernails digging into her sides from the rough grip the exile had on her. She grit her teeth and glared at Riven hungrily.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Riven gnarred the question in a low and serious tone.

"For someone who revels in actions you speak a lot," Irelia taunted Riven, not caring what repercussions would come with a voraciously hot and amorous Noxian. Irelia shuddered when Riven's hands ran up her sides from where they had gripped her hips, taking the towel hiding her away with them. The Captain muffled a sound into Riven's mouth when lips crashed into her own. She kissed back passionately, letting her tongue dance with Riven's. Irelia did not know what she had just gotten herself into, but she cared not, arching her back and grinding her hips against the exile's leg in hopes of quelling some of the unbearable throbbing heat in her loins with the friction. It helped little.

Riven felt the grind and smirked against the Captain's lips. "Oh my," Riven moved to kiss Irelia's neck, "someone," she placed a kiss onto the center Captain's chest just above her breasts, "is impatient." Now Riven was just messing with her. Riven kept her lips pressed against the warm balmy skin of the Captain's chest when Irelia lifted her head to shoot her a "look." Feeling the shift, crimson eyes flicked up as she continued to kiss Irelia's chest. The eyes of her love were full of need, the pent up pressure visible in those emerald irises begging for release. Riven was pretty sure Irelia was internally screaming "no more games!" Ghosting fingertips trailed their way down the tender skin of the Captain's sides, Riven's eyes never leaving Irelia's. The exile trailed feather light kisses along the center line of Irelia's chest.

Irelia reclined her head back as Riven laid kisses down her body. The exile's lips were soft, a tingling sensation prickling at her skin with every new kiss. The flutter in her stomach elicited a soft sigh of pleasure from the Ionian warrior, finding herself actually enjoying this change of pace. The way the rough hands of her Noxian felt as Riven's slid them up to her chest while her kisses trailed lower was a balance of sensation she could not wrap her head around. The heat that was settled in the depth of her body felt like a spreading wild fire, moving along with the exile's touch. She felt trapped. Trapped in this torturous state of heat and throbbing desire. "Riven..."

Riven paused, her lips just above the silken belt around the Captain's hips. The way her name was just said...the whimper...set the exile into a protective, possessive, state of mind. If anyone, ever, laid a harmful hand upon her little Captain, they wouldn't live to regret it. Riven quietly began to untie the silk belt from Irelia's hips, only to freeze as an icy chill ran up her spine. The exile nervously arched her back away from the cold metallic touch of the blade behind her back. When did it move there? Riven froze as it slowly slid down the center of her back, following her spine. She remained stiff, only now realizing what the blade was doing. In a swift moment, Riven felt the bandages wrapping her chest become loose, falling to the floor like a cast that had been cut free of a body. Now she was just as exposed as Irelia, except for the wraps around her left arm. So sneaky... Riven thought, her eyes looking down at her bare chest.

Irelia lifted her head a bit, face completely flushed when her knees were lifted over the strong shoulders of the woman she wanted. She swallowed hard when Riven's hands gripped at the fabric of her pants.

Riven stopped pulling on the silk when gentle hands laid over hers. "I'll be gentle, as much as I know you've told me not to be," Riven's words were reassuring, "because I don't want to hurt you..."

"I'm tough..."

"I'm not..."

Slight confusion played at Irelia's expression. What was that supposed to mean?

"Not on the one that's responsible for my heart..."

Irelia craned her neck back up to Riven's honest face. That initial haze of arousal had vanished from the crimson eyes and something much different occupied them now. Her gaze was longing...loving...and now Irelia understood. She could see it...feel it in every touch...this bond Riven wanted ran much deeper than just sharing a bed with her...just settling human needs with her...Riven wanted Irelia Lito in her entirety. The Captain laid back, her hands slipping free of the exile's, "then love me tender," she whispered, closing her eyes and a soft smile on her lips.

Riven nodded quietly and finished pulling the silk free of Irelia's slender legs. Her skin...every inch of her...was smooth and flawless, no signs of battle wear; Riven knew better. She knew Irelia was just as much a war veteran as she was. The cast soft moonlight from the window made the Captain's paler shade of Ionian skin almost have a glow to it, and Riven couldn't stop staring at this naked Northeastern beauty.

Irelia quivered beneath the touch of rough fingers and bandages as the exile ran her hands over her body. The caresses, soft and sensual, relaxed her. Never would she have thought a Noxian could be this gentle, especially Riven. Irelia gasped softly when Riven had leaned down to her chest, hot breath grazing over the sensitive erect nipple of her left breast.

Riven didn't hesitate as the body under her arched closer. She slid her left hand to the opposite breast and palmed it while taking a nipple her into her mouth. Riven teased the hard pink nub with her tongue, swirling circles until pulling it into her mouth and suckling it softly. A soft moan caught her ears, feeding her want to hear it more...to please her more. Riven cared little if she got serviced at all at this point. All Riven wanted in this moment was to please Irelia, and keep Irelia. Riven felt the jolt from Irelia when she flicked her tongue over the sensitive nipple while her thumb massaged circles around the opposite one. Placing a soft kiss upon the nipple she teased, Riven then lifted her head a bit to see Irelia's face. Her head was leaned back, face flushed, body quivering, chest rising and falling visibly, eyes focused on the ceiling above them; she was beyond ready for her.

Irelia blinked away the trace for a moment, feeling Riven adjust. The Captain lifted her head just enough to see what Riven was up to. The world in that moment felt like it was in slow motion as she watched Riven lay down, her head between her legs. Irelia nervously took handfuls of the bedding at her sides when Riven softly kissed the inside of her thigh. She did not know what to expect, but if the exile said she would be gentle, she found Riven was one that had always been true to her words, especially with Irelia. She felt her own breathing grow more rapid the further down her inner thigh she felt Riven's lips touch. She lifted her shoulders up more so that she could see when she felt Riven's arms wrap around her legs and slide her closer almost to the point that the back of her thighs were pressed against Riven's shoulders.

Riven could feel how tight the Captain became, her muscles flexed in nervous anticipation. "Relax," Riven whispered, waiting for Irelia to comply. For a short while she waited, watching Irelia until the Captain finally gave into her request and semi collapsed back down onto the bedding. Riven lowered her eyes to look down at the space between the Captain's legs. Riven didn't need to touch her to know how wet she was. She could see it. The exile took a deep breath and dipped her head down.

Irelia tried desperately hard to stay relaxed like Riven asked of her, but she was struggling. Her teeth sunk into her lower lip when Riven placed a kiss upon the soft skin just above her quim. A sharp gasp escaped her lips and her fingers curled tightly into the thick blanket of the bedding when Riven's warm and slick tongue dragged up the length of her sex. A low and guttural groan followed up after she had gasped, the Captain gripping down onto the bedding harder and arching her back, realizing Riven wasn't going to let up once she started.

Riven wasted no time to assure Irelia she was enjoying herself, making soft sounds of pleasured approval as she worked her tongue over the sweet wet heat of her Ionian love. The exile couldn't get over how sumptuously sweet she really was. Riven lifted her eyes up as she worked to see Irelia's reactions, keeping her arms wrapped around the Captain's legs to hold her still.

Irelia was new to this.

Riven could tell.

This explained Irelia's lack of self control earlier, not that Riven minded any, it fed her desire for the Captain in more ways than one.

Irelia found herself starting to relax from the initial surprise of Riven's mouth between her legs and learned to enjoy the pleasurable feelings it brought. Another soft moan rolled free as she arched her head back. What ever Riven was doing to her she didn't want her to stop. It pleased her deeply knowing Riven was enjoying her. Her relaxation came to an abrupt halt, feeling something that wasn't the exile's tongue touch her. Irelia lifted her head to see what Riven was doing.

Feeling the shift, Riven looked up to see Irelia looking down at her. Oh how hot and bothered her lover looked, she loved it. Riven didn't take her eyes off Irelia as she slowly pushed a finger into her. She was almost obnoxiously tight, which surprised Riven little. Irelia took her duty to her country seriously, so it wasn't hard for Riven to assume Irelia paid no mind to the endeavors of human desires. The velvet warm walls clenched tighter around her finger the further in she pushed. "Relax," Riven reminded her in a soothing tone. She could feel Irelia start to comply, even though her body continued to quiver from the intrusion. The exile kept true to her word of being gentle with her, slowly easing her finger in and out of the Captain.

In that time, Irelia had propped herself up onto her forearms so she could watch Riven. Her breath was short and face burning red as Riven's eyes shifted back down to her task. It wouldn't be long before Irelia would find herself drowning in pleasure. Toes curling and upper body collapsing back down on to the bedding below her, Irelia threw her head back when Riven pressed another finger into her. Drawing in a large breath through clenched teeth, Irelia's hands latched onto fistfuls of platinum hair when she felt Riven's hot mouth against that ever so sensitive sweet spot. Her grip on Riven's hair only tightened and she gasped harshly when Riven groaned against her. When she bucked her hips, Riven's free arm held her hip firmly so she would not do so wildly again. Irelia's breath grew rapid and shallow as Riven's fingers pumped into her harder. That pent up pressure...she could feel it...she was so close... ready for it be released. Irelia arched her back, knuckles as white as the starlight hair in her hands. She squeezed her eyes shut, her lungs seized up and heart felt as if it was going to break out of her chest when that moment of release finally came. The way she called Riven's name when the world went white and the pressure gone in a wave of ecstasy was all she could recall as she laid there panting and covered in a glistening coat of sweat. Every fiber of her body tingled in delight as she lay there still trying to catch her breath. Irelia lazily shifted her half lidded eyes to her own arms being lifted by another and laid above her head. She could feel her breathing start to calm shortly after the adjustment.

"It's easier to breathe with your arms above your head; gives your lungs more space."

That voice...Riven's voice...how she loved hearing it while she felt like this. She could only imagine how pleased Riven was with herself knowing she reduced her to this state of bliss. Irelia idly turned her head towards Riven when she felt the warm body of her lover lay next to her. She didn't want to move at all as Riven quietly laid there on her stomach at Irelia's side. It seemed even Riven was worn out from all that had happened tonight...then again, Riven was the one who had been distressed from her night terror. She laid there for awhile longer, watching Riven's face.

The exile's eyes were closed and her expression was one of neutral peace.

Once Irelia felt her body had recovered a bit she to wanted nothing more than to lay there until slumber would claim her. She didn't mind Riven saying little and taking her place at her side to sleep and recover. Irelia quietly brought her arms back down to her sides and weakly rolled onto her side to face the exile. The Captain snuggled up to her tuckered out Noxian and found herself softly tickling her finger tips over the tender warm and scarred skin of Riven's back. It didn't take long before Irelia to would pass out from exhaustion at Riven's side.
