A/N: Hi everyone! Can you even believe that it took me 3 years to finish this chapter! And I deeply apologize for this extremely long wait I have put you through and I believe many of my readers already have given up on me... Well, what can I say, during these 3 years I have finished my studies and believe it or not, on the 18th of July 2012 I got married and almost a month later I gave birth to a baby girl, so I have been busy! I have began to work and a working mother unfortunately find little time to write and if that was not enough, my life as well as my child's and husband's life took a drastic change. As of February this year (2014) after a long sickness, my only child got the worst possible diagnosis you could think of; she got leukemia (blood cancer). The positive thing is that she can be healthy again at least we hope and pray she continue in the right direction (thanks to the medicine).
I hope all of you can cheer for our daughter, so she can continue to fight on. She has Japanese blood, so we hope that her samurai spirit is still with her!
I also want to welcome and thank my beta HavenLane3! Thank you for your hard work! :3
Well enough of this A/N! Read and enjoy! And please, don't forget to leave reviews!
Take Care! (^o^)/

Chapter Twenty Four – My Heart Draws A Dream
The silver haired man threw himself down on the king sized bed and starred up to the ceiling, wondering what he could do to help Sakura, but he found that everything he had thought of these past few days was more or less impossible or too dangerous.
And Ryuusei would be back tomorrow and the silver haired man knew that it would be even harder to help Sakura escape this place, because Ryuusei would know who had helped her to escape and that would mean trouble for Konoha and maybe cause a war. A war no one was willing to fight in after this long time of peace.
'Long time of peace...' he snorted to himself for have been thinking such a stupid thing. 'It has only been a year...'
Only a year.
Only a year of peace and almost nine months since Naruto had become the Hokage, even if his authority was less than half of the authority the Hokage possessed, he was still the Hokage. A Hokage everyone loved and looked up to.
And when he thought of Naruto, he began to think of other things as well.
How would he be able to show his face in Konoha again if he couldn't bring back the only thing that would matter to team Seven? How would he be able to look into his former students face and tell him that he had failed to bring her back to them?
And how could he even think that thought? That he couldn't bring her back.
He would bring her back. Even if it would cost him his own life, he would bring her back to Konoha.
A sudden scratching sound on the door brought the silver haired man out of his thoughts and he stood up from the bed, walked towards the door and opened it a little to let in the small brown haired dog with droopy eyes.
"You took your time, Pakkun," the silver haired man said to the dog, which looked back up to him.
"Well, it wasn't that easy to look for something you don't even know how it smells like," Pakkun told the silver haired man, who closed the door behind the dog. "And too make it even more troublesome, in a big forest with a lot of other smells..."
"I'm sorry, Pakkun. But it couldn't be helped."
"I know Kakashi, I'm not blaming you for this," Pakkun said to the man in front of him.
"I know you are not. Anyway, what did you find?"
"To be honest, we did not find much. Well, I found what you asked me to find," Pakkun told Kakashi who looked down to the pug.
"And?"
"And I'm afraid that they will not return to Konoha," Pakkun said bitterly and Kakashi frowned.
"So they are... dead?"
"Yes..."
"I was afraid that you would say that," Kakashi said with a sight and leaned on the dark oak desk, watching how Pakkun jumped up on the chair beside him. "But was it Konoha's ANBU?"
"Yes, that much I could confirm, but I don't know who they are," Pakkun told Kakashi, while watching his master scratching his stubbled chin.
"So you don't know who they are?" Kakashi asked again and Pakkun nodded. "So it means that they joined ANBU after I quit ANBU," Kakashi mumbled while pinching the tip of his nose. "But can you tell me how they looked?"
"That will be a bit hard," Pakkun told Kakashi, who raised an eyebrow at him.
"And why is that?"
"Because someone ripped off their faces. It's impossible to tell who they are now," Pakkun mumbled and looked down to his paws.
"Not impossible, but Konoha are the only one who will be able to do that," Kakashi said, still pinching the tip of his nose while trying to get the image out of his head. "And I can't leave as it is now. Pakkun, I know that I have asked too much from you already, but I really need you to do this last thing for me."
"That is?"
"I need you to go back to Konoha again. Tell Naruto what you have discovered and make him send out someone to retrieve our dead ANBU from the forest," Kakashi told Pakkun who looked a bit unsure.
"Are you really sure about this, Kakashi?" Pakkun asked. "If someone sees me with Naruto, it can be trouble for you."
"I know that, Pakkun," Kakashi told the pug. "But right now I believe this is what we have to do. For the safety of Konoha and for Sakura..."
"Are you saying that you believe someone in this mansion was the one who killed the ANBU's?" Pakkun suddenly said and jumped down from the chair.
"Yes, that's what I believe. It can be anyone from this mansion, which was why I came here in the first place. Because Sakura could be in danger from a man whom I killed twenty years ago," Kakashi mumbled and looked down to the floor. "But now even Konoha can be in danger..."
"Kakashi, don't you think you are considering this a bit too much? How can Sakura be in danger from a man whom you killed twenty years ago? Didn't you see it with your own eyes back then? Didn't you see his ashes on the ground?" Pakkun said and began to get a bit worried for his masters sanity.
"Every shinobi has his own trick to escape death," Kakashi told Pakkun. "Please, Pakkun, I count on you to tell Naruto this. Tell him what you found in the forest and stay with Naruto as long as you can. And tell him that he can use you to send messages to me, but only if it's really important. It's too dangerous for you to show up here too many times..."
"Kakashi, are you really sure about this?" Pakkun asked him worried and the silver haired man nodded.
"I'm sure, Pakkun. I will stay here and try to figure out if it really is that man who the ANBU saw."
"And you are not doing this because of Rin?"
"Even if I would want my revenge against a man who has been dead for the past twenty years, it won't bring her back," Kakashi said, feeling how sadness comes back to his mind, due to the memory of Rin. "I'm doing this for Sakura and for her only. I don't want to see her end up like Rin did. That's all."
"Is that really all?" Pakkun asked and looked up to Kakashi, who had a soft look in his eye. This was a look that Pakkun hadn't seen in many years.
"I wish it was," Kakashi mumbled to himself, after he had opened the door and watched as Pakkun disappeared around the corner.
~oOo~
Sakura walked down the long empty hallway, meeting no one in the process until she ran into someone when the hallway became one with the main hallway.
"I'm so sorry," she mumbled.
"Don't need to be, because I have been getting pretty use to this by now," a male voice said and Sakura looked up to see the silver haired man that was her so called brother. "You're okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Sakura said and stepped away a bit from the man. "How come that I always run into you?"
"Don't ask me. You are the one doing it."
"Don't try to be a smart ass, Kakashi," Sakura told the man who looked down to her with his ash green eyes.
"And it's Katashi," he told her and gave her a small smile. "So, how is your baby?"
"Well he is fine, thank you," she told him and placed a hand on her belly. "And how are you by the way?"
"Well life couldn't be better, I guess," Kakashi sighed and stepped closer to her. "You shouldn't be so concerned about me, I'm a grown man and I can take care of myself."
"Even a grown man needs to be taken care of time to time," Sakura said and looked up to Kakashi.
"And is there a hidden meaning of the words 'be taken care of'?" he asked and narrowed his eyes in a playfully way.
"Well, it depends on how you see it," she told him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"And in which way should I see it in?" he almost purred to her, making her shiver a bit.
"Well, not in the way you want it to be," Sakura finally murmured to Kakashi and then she went passed him, but turned her head around when she felt a hand grabbing hers. "He is coming back today."
"I know," Kakashi mumbled.
"This has to stop," she told him in a low voice. "All we do right now is hurting each other more and-..."
"I have been hurt so many times now that nothing can hurt me any-more," Kakashi mumbled and looked down to her. "And I can't return back to Konoha."
"But you shouldn't stay here because of me," Sakura told him.
"It's not only because of you. It's because of Konoha," he sighed and looked away from her. Not really wanting to tell her. "Konoha has decided to get rid of me, because I went after you."
"What?!" Sakura said almost in a whisper and looked chocked to him. "They decided that? They can't do that! Can't Naruto do anything about that?"
"You know what Naruto's position is as well as I do," he told her sighing even more. "The deal was that his counselors would take over most of his responsibility as Hokage, until he was proven worthy. Now when the elders are in charge again, they can do what they think is best for Konoha. They don't take an interest in other people and their feelings."
"Don't you think I know that," Sakura told him and sighed as well. "What will you do now? I mean you can't go back now."
"I will figure out something, but you have someone to meet soon, right?" Kakashi said and let go of her hand.
"I do, but..."
"Don't worry about me. And as I said, I can take care of myself," Kakashi said and has seen just how Sakura began to look sad up to him. "Don't look so sad, Sakura. Beautiful girls shouldn't cry, right?" Kakashi laid his hand on her head and smiled to her. "Everything is going to be just fine."
Sakura looked down to the stone floor. Tears dripping down her cheeks, as Kakashi moved his hand away from her head and began to walk down the hallway.
She didn't want him to leave her, but she knew that she had no choice in this. If she was the one who would expose him, he would be in trouble and Konoha as well. She knew all this, but still she couldn't let him go like this without him knowing.
Knowing her real feelings. To let him know that she loved him more than she ever would have thought she would have done just a year ago.
"Wa-Wait!" she suddenly burst out and saw how he turned around to look at her with those unreadable ash green eyes. "There-...There is something I want to tell you! I-... I..."
"Ah! There you are Sakura- sama!"
Sakura turned around to see Sange's old butler Saburou, coming towards her and Kakashi with firm steps.
"I'm sorry that I have to interrupt your conversation like this, but Sange-sama has arrived at the big gate. So you should follow with me to the great entrance and wish him welcome back home."
"Well, I will see you at the engagement party then," Kakashi said to Sakura, as he began to walk away from her and Saburou, while Sakura looked with a sad face towards his retreating back.
"Should we leave, Sakura-sama?" Saburou asked and Sakura nodded shortly and followed the butler to the entrance.
~oOo~
The pink haired ex-kunoichi looked sad into the mirror at the make-up table, while the maid, Kiku was fixing her hair into a small bun centered on the neck and wavy strands of hair was placed so it was hanging forward over her left shoulder.
"You should try to cheer up, Sakura-chan," Kiku said as she placed a silver colored hair comb with small pink colored flowers, surrounded with small crystals. "I know that you don't like Ryuusei-sama, but this is after all your engagement party so you should try to look a little bit happy..."
Sakura glanced to the reflection of the black haired Kiku in the mirror and sighed deeply. How could she even pretend to look happy, when she was going to marry this man. This man that gave her cold shivers down her spine just by looking at her. And then it was the issue with her so called 'brother', who was roaming the corridors of the castle.
She knew that he couldn't return to Konoha, but he couldn't stay here as well. It would only be a matter of time before he would be exposed and then it was her own feelings for him that would sooner or later making her go mad. In the end she wouldn't be able to tell him how she felt for him.
It had already began. And she could do nothing to stop her growing feelings for him. Feelings that she didn't even know where there. And it felt like it was only yesterday she had been seeing red with anger because of him. What had changed?
"Sakura-chan?"
Sakura looked up to the mirror and to the reflection of Kiku.
"If it had been with the one I love, I could have looked happy," she said and stroked her big belly, while giving Kiku a somber look.
"I understand your feelings, but you should at least try. If you don't want to give those power seeking women a reason to badmouthing you," Kiku mumbled and looked worried down to Sakura. "And you are also new in this circle, so you stand much lower than the others-..."
"Kiku, everything is going to be fine," Sakura told her. "You don't have to worry about me. I don't care if they are going to badmouthing me or whatsoever. If they wanna fight, then they can have it..."
"But-...!"
"Don't you think that you should listen to your maid? She has a point, you know," a voice suddenly said at the doorway and Sakura turned her head to glance at the silver haired man who had appeared.
"And have I ever listened to anyone?" Sakura told the silver haired man in the doorway and then she turned slowly her head back again to stare into the mirror.
"Not as far as I can remember," the silver haired man said with a small smile on his lips. "If you would be so kind and leave us for a while, Kiku-san."
The maid blushed slightly and walked past the silver haired man, bowing before she left the room and was out of sight.
"How long have you been standing there, by the way?" Sakura asked him as she saw how he came closer to her in the reflection of the mirror.
"Does it matter how long?" he answered her and saw how she frowned at him. "If you really have to know, long enough to tell you that you should be careful who you are talking to at the party."
"And why is that?" she asked him and fumbled with the clasp to the necklace Kakashi had once given her.
"This is the Daimyo's we are talking about. They are not the same as the hidden villages we have a alliance with," Kakashi told her and grabbed the clasp to the necklace and helped her close it. "If they found out that you actually are a shinobi from Konoha and the reason why you are going to marry Ryuusei, they can try to destroy it and force war up on Hi no Kuni and Tsume no Kuni."
"I will be careful," she told him. "But who would be the most 'dangerous' to talk to than?"
"Hum, it would probably be the Daimyo of the Kiba no Kuni," Kakashi told her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Kiba no Kuni? But I thought that they had made peace with each other a long time ago," Sakura said and glanced to Kakashi's warm hand that was resting on her shoulder.
"Well, that was before they changed the Daimyo," Kakashi said and looked to Sakura's reflection in the mirror and saw how she looked questioning to him.
"If my memory doesn't fail me, wasn't he very young?" Sakura asked. "How can they change him if he didn't-... Don't tell me he-..."
"He was killed in the middle of the war, foolish enough to think that someone like him could even have a chance to survive someone like Madara," Kakashi snorted and glanced down to the floor. "And I would say that it was unfortunate that the new Daimyo weren't such a Icha Icha fan as the late Daimyo was."
"Only you would think so," Sakura sighed and glanced up to Kakashi with a smirk. "Not everyone has the same taste as Konoha's number one pervert."
Kakashi looked unamused down at Sakura, but he couldn't hide the little twinkle in his ash green eyes. It was all Sakura needed to know that he wasn't as unamused as he seemed to be.
"Anyway, you should be careful of him and he is not hard to miss," Kakashi informed her and she turned her head around to look at him again.
"And may I ask why he isn't hard to miss?" she asked.
"He is the only one who has scars all over his face," he said and Sakura raised her eyebrow at him in a surprised manner. "Don't look so surprised, you know as well as I do that many of the smaller countries who doesn't have their own hidden villages, sometimes have a war experienced Daimyo."
"Well, I do. But I didn't expect Kiba no Kuni to be one of those countries," Sakura sighed and looked away from Kakashi. "So now I have to avoid all females, all Daimyo's who look like they could be some crazy ex-warlord. Well, this will be fun, or not..."
"It's just for tonight, Sakura. It will be over faster then you know it," Kakashi laid his hand on her head in an assuring way and then he noticed the little maid Kiku standing in the doorway. "Well, I guess I will be going then. I will see you later, Sakura."
Kakashi walked passed Kiku who bowed to him and then she sprinted off to Sakura's side and began to replace the hair comb, making sure that everything was in perfect order.
Kakashi gave the two girls a small unnoticed smile, before he walked with heavy steps down the empty and dark hallway.
~oOo~
How she had ended up here, she would never figure out. She had just taken one step inside of the big room and she had suddenly appeared in the middle of the room surrounded with a horde of cackling overdressed ladies.
After they had commented about how lovely the deep blue colored kimono hugged her body, making her looking less pregnant then she was, they quickly change subject to something all of those women liked to talk about; Gossip.
"Look at her," a dark brown haired woman whit a dark green kimono said, getting the others attention. "Looks like the Kome No Kuni will finally be getting its heir."
Everyone, including Sakura, turned their eyes towards a middle-aged man with a hooked nose standing beside a pretty and very young pregnant woman.
In Sakura's eyes, that young woman couldn't be much more than 16 years old and it saddened her as well as it sickened her that this girl, that still was merely a child, was married and carried a child.
That girl would never be able to enjoy the many wonderful things that come with growing up to a woman.
But this was the life of a girl growing up in this kind of society and Sakura had been forced in to this society of power hungry men and women who saw each other with contempt.
ヾ(=^▽^=)ノ
The silver haired Kakashi starred at the pink haired woman in her deep blue kimono with the many small silver embroidered cherry-flowers.
He shacked his sake in the cup, while feeling sorry for the pinkett that was surrounded by these kind of people who only cared for one thing; if you have blue blood or not.
Well, he knew that Sakura was big enough to take care of herself around these power hungry ladies, but he could see that she was very uncomfortable and she was also squeezing her hand time to time, a true sign that she was trying hard to suppress her anger or irritation.
It almost put a smile to his lips, if it hadn't been for the situation they both were in.
"Well, well... What do we have here?"
Kakashi turned slowly his head around and was meet by a curly blond in a deep crimson colored kimono. Her big breasts bounced with every step she took and her hips swayed alluringly as she walked closer to him.
"Look at what the cat dragged in," Kakashi said while sipping on his sake and turned back to look at the pink haired woman.
"Tsk, always a pleasure to see you too, Hatake," the blond said and stopped beside Kakashi. "Especially after having received such a comment."
"You have... changed," Kakashi said, still giving the pink haired woman all his attention.
"Well, I'm a grown up woman now," she stated to Kakashi who just eyed her indifferently.
"So?"
"So you could at least say something more than just 'you have changed'," the blond said while sounding almost hurt.
"Almost twenty years do cause people to change," Kakashi said in a matter of fact way. "What do you want me to say?"
"You never change," the woman sighed. "You are as insufferable as ever."
"And yet you sat outside of my apartment for 1 months before you gave up on doing so and began to chase me up and down over all of Konoha for 2 months," Kakashi said and drank the last in his cup.
"Well, at least then you began to talk to me," the blond said whit a hint of pink on her cheeks.
"Because the Hokage asked me to..."
"You mean that you gave up trying to ignore me?"
Kakashi was silent for a minute while the blond stared at him, waiting for him to say something.
"No, it was on the Hokage's order..."
"Urg, you are such a bad lair," the blond said with a hint of frustration in her voice. "And you have been looking at the same spot since I came. What are you looking at?"
"Just a horde of hungry hens, trying to devour a wolf," Kakashi said and the blond woman raised an eyebrow.
"And what is that supposed to mean?"
"Look for yourself..."
The blond woman looked down at the group of women standing around what looked like a pregnant pink haired woman that had irritation written all over her face and she looked like she could explode in any minute.
"Emiko," Kakashi suddenly said.
The blond looked back to Kakashi who was now looking at her. Somehow he suddenly looked much older than she knew he was.
What had happened since last time they had seen each other? She really wanted to know.
"She is very dear to me," he suddenly said to the blond woman Emiko, who looked a bit confused up to him.
She was about to ask who, but then she understood who he had meant. It was the pinkett standing in the middle of the horde.
The pinkett was no beauty, but she had a kind of natural beauty that many of these women that Emiko was surrounded by everyday didn't have and yet you could see that she had seen more things during her life that no normal woman in her age would have seen.
"She is one of your kind, isn't she?" Emiko suddenly said, making Kakashi to look surprised down at her.
"How could you tell?" Kakashi asked.
"She has the same eyes as you. They are guarded and look much older than herself does," Emiko said and looked back to the pinkett that was trying hard to fit in. "But one thing I can't understand is why she is the bride for this wedding?"
"To make long story short, she was forced in to marry him," Kakashi told Emiko.
"And why didn't the father to her child marry her, if he isn't dead of course," Emiko asked and glanced at Kakashi who began to be a bit uncomfortable.
"Because the father is a jerk and a coward, who doesn't deserve her," Kakashi told her stony.
Emiko sighted and flatted a non-existing wrinkles on her kimono.
"Well, I guess that I will go over there and save your little princess," Emiko said knowingly and began, gracefully, to move over to where Sakura was being tormented by the ladies.
Kakashi just stared after Emiko and he could hear how she said; "Move away ladies!" and then she laid a protective arm around Sakura's shoulders and both of them moved towards the shoji that led to the garden.
He chuckled to himself, as the other women glared daggers after Emiko and Sakura, who had already disappeared through the shoji.
xXx
Sakura glared a bit shocked towards the curly blond who closed the shoji behind her and was now looking at Sakura with a slightly cocky smile and a raised eyebrow.
"And my I ask who you are and why you suddenly decided to kidnap me?" Sakura asked the blond who moved passed Sakura and began to lean onto the stone railing.
"Well, I'm just saving you from those bloodthirsty ladies," the blond said. "They are like wildcats in heat when it comes to people like you."
Sakura looked questioning towards the curly blond.
"People like me?"
"Yes, people without pedigree. People with no royal blood," the blond said and saw how Sakura frowned at her. "I did this as a favor from an old friend of mine."
"An old friend of yours? And you never told me your name by the way," Sakura said losing her patience with this lady in front of her.
"I'm Nakada Emiko, an old friend of Hatake Kakashi," the blond said and looked back at Sakura.
"Old friend as in old friend or old sex friend?" Sakura asked while narrowing her eyes at Emiko.
"Oh? So you are aware of his reputation," Emiko said and leaned a bit forward showing cleavage. "But I have to disappointingly say no. I'm not one of his sex friends."
"Then how come that you know him?" Sakura asked, still not really satisfied with Emiko's answer.
"He saved me a long time ago and he also made me into a widow," she answered leaning back at the railing again.
"He killed your husband and still you call him your friend?" Sakura said unbelievable.
"Well, my husband was a bad guy that's all there is to it," Emiko told Sakura who was about to rebut, but was cut of short. "I didn't bring you out here to tell you about my sad life story."
"Then why did you take me out here?" Sakura asked.
"I want you to tell me how it is that you are carrying Hatake Kakashi's child?" Emiko said and watched how the pinkett dropped her walls and became white as a sheet.
"How did you-...?"
"When you get to know him, he is quite easy to read," Emiko told Sakura, who couldn't agree. "But I guessed he wanted me to figure it out. So I will ask you again, how is it that you are caring his unborn child?"
Sighing Sakura folded her arms over her chest and glanced down to the granite flooring.
"It- It really isn't something I want to talk about," she said feeling a bit embarrassed.
Glancing up to the blond Emiko who looked understanding back to her with a small comforting smile on her lips. A smile telling her to also continue, so she did.
"Have you ever hated someone so much that you have almost killed him?" Sakura suddenly asked.
"No, I haven't. But there have been times," Emiko admitted with a small smile on her face. "But I just let my anger at that person pass, because I know that it was surely my own fault and life is just too short to have a grudge against someone."
Biting her lip Sakura continued.
"Everything was just a mistake and at the same time not," she mumbled. "I was forced to go on a mission with a person I disliked, a person who only thought of my own well being over his own. Like I cared what he thought.
Things got- complicated and I ended up shagging him. Twice, as if one time was not bad enough!"
"Just one question? How was it that you actually did it with him- twice- if you hated him so much?" Emiko asked obviously curious about the answer.
Sakura blushed fiercely and looked away from Emiko.
"I was painfully still a virgin, well before I got raped that is and the mission required that I probably would have to sleep with the target." Sakura mumbled even lower and she glanced back to Emiko who looked shocked and even very saddened by what Sakura had told her.
None should experience the ill-nature of a man's uncontrolled violence and Emiko couldn't understand that this woman in front of her was still able to put a small smile to her face.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know that he-..."
"It wasn't Kakashi," Sakura cut her of with. "He may be a pervert, but he would never go so low as to rape someone. Kakashi was the one who helped me- if you even can call it help- and he did try to make me feel like a woman again, even if it was for the missions sake.
I still have a hard time accepting other men touching me, but I'm a shinobi I can't let it overrun me and it was after that night with Kakashi that things changed and I began to crave him in another way. In a way I didn't think even was possible and after a while I noticed I was pregnant.
"I was in shock and I didn't know if I should tell him or not. But a friend told me that I should probably tell him even if he maybe was not the father, he had a right to know. Things went very bad and I guessed he too became shocked about what I told him. He told me that he didn't want to be a part of this and left me all alone on the training ground. The day after he came to my home and wanted to talk to me and I don't really know what changed his mind, but we agreed that I could keep the baby and he would just be by my side until it was born.
And now I'm here, mostly because we both were too afraid of showing our own feelings for each other."
Emiko looked down to the floor and then back to Sakura, it was truly not a sunshine story, but she had heard and seen what she needed and she could only pray that it was not too late to tell this young woman in front of her what she thought.
"Do you love him?" Emiko suddenly asked.
"Excuse me?" Sakura asked, a bit taken aback by the sudden question.
"Do you love him, or have I understood you wrong?"
Sakura was quiet, but after a while she nodded stiffly.
"Yes, I love him. Probably more than I thought myself able to," she told Emiko who nodded.
"Does he know?" Emiko then asked.
"No, he doesn't and I'm not planning to tell him either," Sakura said with a sigh. "It's for the best that he doesn't know."
"Sakura my dear, this will tear you apart," Emiko said while advancing towards Sakura and took her hands. "You should tell him or you will regret it for the rest of your life. Do you even know how he feels about you?"
"I can't tell him and yes, I know how he feels," sighing again she pulled her hands away from Emiko's. "I wish it was as simple as it seems to be, but it's not and if I disown Sange, my home will be in a war again with Tsume no Kuni. And I think you agree with me that we have had enough of wars."
Nodding, Emiko glanced up to the star scattered sky, wondering why Kakashi even bothered to be here when he obviously knew he couldn't have her. But knowing him, he probably had an ulterior motive to be here, what it could be she would never be able to figure out.
Hearing how Sakura sighed heavily she turned her gaze back to the pinkett, with those worried looking emerald eyes.
"I guess my heart just draw a dream," Sakura mumbled. "For me and Kakashi to be together was just too good to be true."
"Let's go back in," Emiko suddenly said and began to walked back towards the shoji. "Standing out here will not change the past, but maybe going inside can change the future."
Understanding Emiko's hidden meaning, Sakura took courage into her heart and walked with a raised head back into the ballroom with Emiko.
If she ever dared to tell him, then tonight was that time.
