Artemis POV (In an abandoned warehouse)
As I stepped on the chair, my heart was racing. I knew that this would be the last time I felt this way. I was just about to wrap the ribbon around my neck, when a voice inside of me, that sounded A LOT like Wally yelled, "Artemis! Don't! You have your whole life ahead of you! Think of all the people who love you!"
"I can't do this." I whispered. I let go of the ribbon, got off the chair, and grabbed the closest pair of scissors. I stepped on the chair and started cutting the ribbon into little pieces. I was terrified, and started running to the nearest zeta beam.
Wally's POV
"Recognized: Artemis B07," the computer announced.
'Great, here comes the Ice Queen herself,' I thought to myself. As soon as I look over my shoulder, I see Artemis run from the Zeta Tubes, straight to the bathroom. I scoffed under my breath, and was about to roll my eyes until I heard a strangled sob come from the bathroom that Artemis entered. I sped over to the door and knocked. She didn't answer, so I tried the next best thing, texting.
Artemis POV
I knew Wally was the only one in the Cave, but I didn't expect him to start texting me while I was sobbing in the bathroom.
Wally: R u ok?
Me: U hav 2 promise not 2 tell anybody
Wally: Ight
Me: I thought about killing myself, and I almost did, before I came 2 the cave
Wally POV
Only one thought came to my mind: 'I can't lose you… not again."
