Silhouette:Hey, Everyone! its a new year! I did not expect to still be writing this story for this long, but I'm glad I am!
Scourge: You are?
Silhouette: I believe I said that already. I'll tell you why! this story I'm writing now is not the story I had originally intended to write, its better, and that makes me super excited to finish writing it!

[Forest]
"What the..." Issai muttered to himself in confusion as he lead an army of roboticized echidnas to the egg base. Hearing explosions in the near distance He started running faster than his army. reaching the top of the hill that gave a view of the front of the lair. "Looks like I've arrived just on time." He said to himself as he scanned the fighting grounds for Metal Sonic.
"It appears as if we have." Lian-Da, A red female echidna, agreed as the rest of them caught up with Issai. Giving the leader of the Dark Legion little of his attention the dark blue hedgehog pulled out his communicator.

[Outside Eggman's Lair]
Shots firing coming from every direction, But this is something the Chaotix are use to dealing with.
"OH! YEAH!" Charmey screamed in excitement flying as fast as he could between two robots getting them to fire at each other and make them both blow up!
Sliding under a bigger robot to avoid a few of the Titanium bee bots, Mighty dug his hand under the ground of the wheels of the bigger robot. lifting it over his head Mighty spotted another one just like it that locked its lasers onto Charmey. the robot hummed as the bast charged to its full, Mighty, tossing the robot into the other they both exploited consuming several other small robots around it.
the explosion, Tossing the hyper-active bee across most of the action, Metal Sonic stood to the side of Eggman's hovercraft that he sat in, yelling commands at his badniks. most of the threats and commands are directed towards the bee bots and the crabmeat, and the motobugs as Dr Eggman lines them up to set up the perfect attack that would give him just enough time to deploy his super mech.
watching the over ecstatic Dr Eggman take off in his hover cart to his mech he had hidden for the time being, yelling back at Metal to go get Loki as he disappeared from the robot's sight. "Father, we're ready." Issai's voice said over Metal's internal communicator.
"Have them get into position and meet me inside in five minutes. Initiating a diversion for you." Metal responded. his engine humming the robot blasted himself upward. quickly scanning the field for the strongest point of the battle Metal flew inside the window Sonic had broken where Loki Stood observing the battle with Sonic by his side.
turning to the robot Loki asked "Have you determined it yet?"
"Affirmative." Metal responded. pointing out towards the battle to Mighty. "He will give the most resistance, and is your target. Tell me organic copy it is his turn." nodding with an understanding Loki faced Sonic "I got this." Sonic said determination filled his voice as he jumped out the window.
"Do you not use doors?" Loki asked Metal as he watched Sonic use a line of flying robotic bees to get to the real fight. after a second of silence Loki turned to see the robotic hedgehog had gone. "never mind."

[Inside Eggman's lair]
Issai skidded into the room he and metal discussed meeting in. hearing a small gasp he looked around his surrounding area but saw nothing of any importance. the room suddenly filled with the sound of Metal Sonic's engine as he flew into the room, landing next to Issai.
"Echidnaopolis is roboticized and standing along side the dark legion awaiting your orders." Issai reported turning his full attention to Metal. nodding Metal gave Issai further instructions via witten message over communicator and Issai agreed, propelling himself through the lair on his air shoes once again to get himself into position.
once the ring of the propulsion from the shoes died down Metal's sensors detected sounds near by.

[In the next room]
Skirt of her dress soaked form her tears, and her Chao friend missing, Cream didn't know what else to do. She tried being nice, she tried fighting back, she tried escaping, it seemed like everything she did turned up to be useless. "help..." she whimpered for what seemed like the hundredth time.
"As you wish." came the reply from behind.
catching her completely off guard, but having little breath left to scream, She Gasped in fear turning her head to see Espio becoming visible again.
"He has Cheese, and the rest of the Chao garden." Cream said worrying that something had already become of the Chao. After all Eggman Fights against Sonic a lot and is not one to hesitate to do anything as evil as that.
Feeling the ropes slide off her hands she stood. opening her mouth to thank Espio she saw him give her the signal to be quiet. He looked around the room listening intently. "Where are the Chao?" Espio asked quietly.
Cream nodded "Follow me." She said perking up a little bit as she lead Espio down the halls into a huge room with glass balls cage hanging from the ceiling. a sight neither of them wanted to see again, They saw every single ball filled with the little Chao creatures, Several of the ball already filled with the purple liquid that scrambled Charmey's mind years ago. Dashing over to the controls Espio Desperately typing in commands to the keypad. He is not the best one to hack computers, but he is the one who has more experience with them out of all the Chaotix members. pushing the enter button tey both looked at the Egg-grapes waiting in anticipation and sighing in relief as the liquid started draining from the grapes that are already filled and stopped filling the rest of them.
"Yay!" Cream screamed jumping in excitement.
As relieved as Espio was to see Cream happy again he knew now was not the best time to be screaming, confirming his thoughts about this as cold steel wrapped around Espio's neck flying high into the air. all he could her is the sound of an engine and Cream Screaming.
gasping for air he pulled up on the metal arm that held him. grabbing the knife out of its sheath strapped to his arm. Glancing at the Robot that resembled Sonic almost exactly he got ready to strike the robot when Metal suddenly stopped in the air causing Espio to drop the knife, coughing. wheezing in as much air as he could as Metal Sonic tossed him around getting ready to toss him into the Egg-grapes that had not completely finished draining yet.
*Ting
The sound of vibrating metal hung in the air for a half of a second before Metal turned his head back down towards Cream who tossed another wrench at the robot. the slight hesitation Metal gave Espio the chance and he pulled out a ninja star tossing it into his flight engine. missing it as Metal spun around once to throw the ninja at Cream who rolled out of the way looking up to see Metal's claw reaching for her face. Screaming she buried her face in the Unconscious ninja.
*Crash
The sound startled Cream as she whimpered, suddenly realizing that she wasn't hurt. picking up her head she looked up seeing a white glove with a gold bracelet "huh?" she exclaimed in confusion
"Are you hurt?" the Familiar deep demanding voice of Shadow the hedgehog asked
looking past the hand she caught a glimpse of Metal Sonic who pushed debris of some robot that got destroyed upon his impact to it. glancing up her eyes met his red ones, they scared her, but since she is already scared she, oddly enough, found a little comfort in them. Nodding "I'm not. Mr Espio is."Cream said
hearing the sound of the engine once again he turned his head to see the oncoming robot "Get him out of here as fast as you can. I'll buy you some time." Shadow Said. Engaging in combat with the blue robot hedgehog Cream grabbed Espio's hands and started pulling him towards the door when suddenly she froze upon hearing Shadow grunt in pain and Metal Sonic's chest cannon fire. looking at the fighting She saw Shadow, engulfed in a red laser beam hit the wall and it exploding around him. "Mr. Shadow!" She cried out hoping he would answer her. he is immortal, right? he should have survived that, right?
her screams reached Metal Sonic's audio sensors as soon as she spoke them, she, however, did not realize this until Metal's claws slashed at her, ducking as she caught the glimmering metal out of the corner of her eyes. a flash of blue light filled her sight. gasping in fear as she looked up to see Shadow bending over her with his arms stretched out, covering as much of her and Espio as he could before Metal Sonic struck then left through the door behind them.
"Mr Shadow," Cream exclaimed in concern "Are you hurt?"
brushing off the Question as if she did not even ask it Shadow looked directly at her "Get him out of here, and both of you get to safety." he said. blasting out of the room on his hover shoes.
moaning quietly "But I want to help." She pouted staring out the door. feeling something grab her hand she looked down at Espio who is now awake "You are helping." He said as he stood up. Cream smiled and helped him though the facility, but not before she got all the Chao to follow her as well.

[Outside Eggman's lair]
"Sonic's back!" Charmey announced seeing the blue blur streak out of the window of the base.
Exclaiming excitedly that the plan is working Vector turned to see Sonic spin-dashing straight for the bee. "Charmey, Look out!"
turning to see the streak headed right for him. having little reaction time all he did is scream before a red mobian jumped in front of him grabbing the blue hedgehog spinning at high speeds.
Pushing against the force of the Sonic's momentum is practically nothing compared to what Mighty the Armadillo is use to benching. "What's wrong with you? What happened?" Mighty asked his friend with concern. seeing it is obvious that Eggman now posses the power to bend more than robots towards his will angered the Armadillo. having just spent several months biding against his will for his friends freedom he is not just about to see one of them attack those who he has protected for years against his will.
bouncing off his hands, landing on the ground just in front of him. "I've seen truth, and you resist it." Sonic said in almost a robotic like manner.
"What?" Mighty exclaimed in shock and confusion. this is not the Sonic he knew. Neither is it the one that went into that building a minute ago. Something happened and he is going to fix it. "We didn't come here for that because there is none in this place. we came for our friend. and we're taking you with us!" Mighty proclaimed right before Sonic tackled him. pushing him off Mighty, scrambling to his feet turned, eyes widening as he curled into his shell at the last second as Sonic's spin attack met his rough exterior.
bouncing off it, hitting the ground, Sonic, shifting his feet getting a better grip on the ground for traction he sped in the direction of his foe, at the moment, grab him and wear him down by dragging him through the battle field and forest, but was caught by surprise as Mighty grind his feet into the dirt as well lifting his fists in a defensive position, obviously not comfortable with hitting him, but not against it either, and as Sonic struck him to be carried of Mighty in return struck him with the same force breaking the blow off both of them.
grabbing his friend by the shoulder, Mighty pushed Sonic into the ground onto his knees. noticing the hesitation in Sonic as he watched as his new electric blue eyes started to flicker to the emerald green they once were. knowing what he had to to mighty eased him fist again, but suddenly blacked out before he could strike him again.

Smiling in a sense of accomplishment, Sonic jumped back to his feet. seeing Vector going to deliver the blow to Sonic that Mighty was about to before he seemingly disappeared in a black cloud. "Where'd Mighty go?" Vector demanded to know. Sonic jumped into a spin attack inches away from Vector's face sending the Crocodile flying backwards and into the dirt. Curling for another Spin attack Vector scrambled to his feet as best he could, but being balanced enough or not he had to do it now or get struck again as he raises his fist he stumbles backwards due to him imbalanced. he saw a flash of blue as he shielded his face before the impact that... did not happen to him.
"This is an odd place to find out that you've had enough of your friends." Shadow said landing next to Vector as Sonic hit the dirt from Shadow's sudden blow to him.
"How would you know, traitor, you have no friends." Sonic said in a mocking tone digging his feet into the ground for more traction. using it to his advantage as he easily pushed off at high speeds into Shadow who dodged in the second he did it. Blasting forward to keep up with him on his hover shoes. His mind wandered a bit. Traitor? Sonic has never called him a Traitor before. Not that he liked the nickname 'Faker', but even that did not hold the same meaning as Traitor.
hovering close enough to Sonic Shadow collided with him pushing him off his current path knocking his speed down sending him behind him. Shadow's air shoes switched off as he came to a sudden stop as Sonic regained traction and ran up and just about passed him when Shadow's fist his Sonic's gut. the Blue blur fell to the ground as all his momentum aided Shadow's punch casing his stomach to hate him. the hesitation Sonic accidentally gave as he attempted brushing off the pain cost hi as Sonic looked up at Shadow who punched him again causing the Blue hedgehog to collapse unconscious on the ground.
"What the..." Shadow exclaimed in confusion as to what he just saw. his eyes, where they that color before? the same as Maria's? no. He would have remembered that. did he see them wrong? Shadow thought to himself as he pulled back his eye lids to check again. they are blue, but they are flickering green. is that his normal eye color? it must be. unless this is a robot. No. it can't be a robot it reacted to pain.
glancing back up at the battle Shadow saw Sonic's friends fighting against Eggman's army. seeing that they were holding their own ground he teleported Sonic away from the fight. Something was wrong with him and he was not going to allow this annoying blue hedgehog become the one to destroy everything he worked his whole life to create. hiding him in a bush the distance of two telepots without a chaos emerald away Shadow returned to Eggman's base.
"Oi Vey!" Shadow Exclaimed seeing the battle in a full head-on war zone. "I'm gone Five seconds... Something is definitely wrong."
Blasting towards the fighting, fighting against badniks, Robians, and the dark legion. but that all seemed petty upon seeing Eggman's mech destroyed and him still in it lying unconscious. Hearing his name Shadow spun around defensively to see knuckles or who looked a great deal like Knuckles, but with a robotic eye, fall to the ground as he got blasted in the back shoulder hitting the ground head first as if he were trying to protect something he is holding.
curling into a spin attack the nearby enemies were quickly disposed of and Shadow rolled Knuckles over. hesitating slightly as he heard crying, a high pitched crying. 'Knuckles... doesn't cry. I don't think. if he did I doubt it would sound like that' thoughts ran faster through his mind than he knew how to interpret them as he saw a baby echidna in an unconscious Knuckles' arms.
"I think now would be a good time for them to pull away." Shadow said to the baby as He teleported them several times each time going as far as he could without a chaos emerald eventually making it to the portal. seconds later Shadow busted through Knuckles' door with the unconscious echidna over his shoulder and the crying baby in his other arm. running into the living room Shadow dropped Knuckles off on the couch. turning around once or twice to find something to leave the baby in until he could come back.
Amy Rose ran into the room behind Shadow. as he turned and saw her he extended the baby into her arms saying that he would be back with the others as soon as he could. confused as she could be Amy cradled the baby echidna in her arms trying to calm him down taking two steps towards the kitchen the doors opened again as Shadow came back dropping off Silver and Espio, both unconscious, in empty chairs then out the door he went again.
facing the dirty unconscious boys thoughts ran though her mind "I hope Sonic is still alive and helping." She said remembering the last time she saw these guys unconscious. She turned to the door. it had been twice as long as last time since Shadow came in and she began to grow worried. "Please bring someone back conscious." She said wishing Shadow could hear her.

[Outside Eggman's lair]
emerging from a teleportation Shadow ducked behind a tree upon seeing very little of the remains of the war that had taken place here no more that two minutes ago. dirt still hung in the air robot parts still scattered around the small field but it looked like the remains of a typical fight that Sonic would have with Eggman and nothing gave evidence to the war zone that took place here.
