I AM BACK BABY AND I HAVE SEEN AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON AND I FUCKING LOVE IT TO DEATH. ANY AND ALL HATERS CAN FUCK OFF CAUSE THIS MOVIE EXEMPLIFIES MARVEL.

The only problem is IT WASN'T LONGER. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THREE TO FIVE HOURS. GAH IT'S SO AWESOME THAT I CRIED.

OK now that I'm done with that I am so happy that people are loving my newest chapter. But let me tell you here and now, I have a feeling that this will be my best one to date.

Alright, right off the bat, one reviewer brought up an interesting topic. aDarkOne pointed out that it should have been possible to bring in Benezia alive and for the longest time I whole heartedly agreed. But I believe that Benezia's death is that start for Liara that began to morph her into a stronger, self-reliant character that we see in Mass Effect 2. I was going to save her but I decided against, cause of what I mentioned earlier and pivotal scene you'll see here in this chapter later on.

Law77, I promise to uphold it

Now, this chapter is also not gonna be my best thus far, in my own opinion, but it will also be the groundwork that will have very important affects for things to come.

I've been thinking long and hard on what I should do for the future after Mass Effect one and the three year gap. You heard me, it's going to be three, not two.

BioshockerN7 and Jebest4781 have been my main contributors to this story and because of that, they have given me some great ideas for things to come. And since I always like asking for help, I once more reach out to you the fans and ask whether you have any ideas for this story aside from the ones that have already been mentioned. I will point out this. There will be twist and turns no doubt but regardless, the story will remain on course as it did for the three games.

So yeah, shout out some ideas and I could consider to incorporate them into the story. If it can't fit, don't worry, I'm planning on another crossover with multiple What if? Stories, other chicks Peter might have hooked up with, chronicles by other crew members and other tie-in storylines.

I have huge plans for this crossover cause I could do so much, and you can too

Also, this is the chapter where the AU kicks in, where you might ask why and I'll say who cares I did it and it was fun and awesome to do so.

That's all I got for ya today folks

Along Came a Spider Chapter 8: I Was only gone for a few days! Part 1

The music continued to blast on as it did since peter first entered the bar.

"How the hell does Garrus keep dragging me back here?" Peter said as he surveyed Chora's Den

"Chora's Den, You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy" Peter said in an old man's voice before snickering "Or something along those lines"

"No, you quoted it perfectly" Said a silky smooth voice behind him

Peter whirled round to find a familiar busty brunette wearing her trademark skintight cat suit.

"Hey" Peter started in surprise and friendliness "You actually came. I was starting to think that you'd forgotten. Though I don't really blame you. I'm easily forgettable"

"Well, you are humble" Miranda said, sitting down next to him "That's one good thing about you"

"Humble? That's all I get?"

"And clearly, you don't know when to shut up"

Peter held up his hand in a gun position and pointed right at his heart.

"Bang" Peter dryly said "Right through the heart"

"Exactly" Miranda said with a sly smirk

"Hey, someone has a cynical sense of humor"

"I've lived a hard life" Miranda said coldly

"Ah" Peter had an understanding look on his face "Don't we all"

Miranda narrowed her eyes at the secret vigilante

"What would you know about a hard life" Miranda said venomously

Peter surprised her by shrugging it off, a more stoic expression held now.

"I never knew my parents" Peter sad somberly "They died when I was very young. I was raised by my aunt and uncle. I was bullied most of my life and I lost my Uncle when I was only 15. All I have left is my Aunt May and I haven't seen her in months. Everyday, I pray that she is well and healthy without worrying about me all the time"

Miranda was silent, stunned a bit with how easily Peter divulged so much of his life story to someone he had only met a week ago.

"You're rather quick to give all that away to a complete stranger" Miranda said with a surprisingly gentle tone

"Didn't we give each other's names just the other week" Peter joked "I'm pretty sure we're past the point of stranger"

Miranda couldn't help but twitch her lips into a smirk.

"I guess we are mister Parker"

"Oh, please, don't call me mister Parker" Peter said, chuckling a bit "I'm not that important"

"Still" Miranda mused "It is a matter of respect"

"Then I respectfully ask you to call me Peter" Peter said wittingly "If that's alright with you, Miss Lawson"

"It's only fair that you do the same in kind then" Miranda said, further surprising herself at how she said that without a second thought

'I must be relaxing to much as of late' Miranda thought 'Guess I'd better sharpen myself up again'

"I guess it is fair, Miranda" Peter said warmly and Peter held up two fingers to the Bartender.

The human behind the bar nodded, pulling out a bottle and two glasses.

"Care for a toast?" Peter offered after both glasses were filled

"A toast to what?" Miranda asked

"I dunno, always feels like there should be one after a moment like that"

Miranda actually chuckled "This isn't a movie Peter"

"Who says it can't be"

"Reality"

"This sure as hell feels like a movie" Peter joked, clinking his glass with Miranda's "What, with all the aliens around us, a city flying in space and faster than light travel. You sure this doesn't feel a bit like Star Wars to you?"

"Hmph, my partner one time said that to me. And I'll say to you what I said to him. No"

"Really? Not even a little bit" Peter held up his hand, his finger and thumb a centimeter apart "I mean, it has to be just a teensy bit, right? Those Biotics remind me of the force"

"Hmph" Miranda's hand glowed, pointing it at the bottle. The bottle was surrounded by a blue energy field and was lifted upwards and tilted sideways to pour more alcohol into Miranda and Peter's empty glasses

"Come on" The secret Vigilante exclaimed with a laugh "Tell me that's not the force right there? Can you not feel the dark and the light pulling at you from within"

"What I feel is a growing urge to knock you out" Miranda said in annoyance

"Harsh" Peter jibbed "But I've heard worse"

"I can't imagine why"

Peter merely grins, rubbing the back of his head.

"To be honest, I'm surprised that I'm still managing a conversation with you" Spider-man admitted

"Oh" Miranda quirking an eyebrow "And why's that?"

Peter shrugged his shoulders

"I dunno" Peter said "I'm not so sure or good with these kinds of things most of the time, if not all of the time"

"Are you just fishing for compliments?"

"Nope, just being honest" Peter remarked "Brutally honest with myself to keep grounded"

"I've never known any man to do that to themselves" Miranda stated

"Well, I'm not like most confident guys" Peter said "I'm more along the lines of tech geek with low self-esteem"

"Brutal" Miranda said with a smirk "Even I'm not that bad"

"Heh" Peter gave her a sheepish grin, which made Miranda shake her head in amusement

"I will admit this" Miranda sipped "You are one odd duck Peter"

"PETER!"

"Huh?" Peter jolted out of his dazed expression when Garrus literally yelled into his ear

"Spirits your dense" Garrus said as Peter rubbed his ear

"What? What is it?"

"You've been staring at Chora's Den for ten minutes" Garrus explained irritably "We were supposed to go to an armory to get you armor when I lost you"

"Sorry about that, Garrus" Peter said sincerely "I just got caught up in a memory"

"I know" Garrus said

"You do?"

"Yeah, after hanging out with you for so long, you get this look in your eyes and a twitch on your lip and eyebrow" Garrus said, pointing to said twitches

"I do?!"

"HA" Garrus laughed "No. But Damn Are you gullible"

"Ha Ha, you Jerk" Spider-man deadpanned "And look who's talking. I still haven't told you about the poison stingers I have at my finger tips"

"What?! You have something like that?!"

"No" Now it was Peter's turn to laugh "But damn are you gullible"

Garrus shoved the web head playfully, the two sharing a laugh.

"Say, where are the other guys?" Peter asked, the two walking down

"Wrex is gun shopping" Garrus went on "Shepard took the rest to lunch"

"Wait, so we, the two guys who actually pursued Saren before any of this started and deal with craziness on a daily basis are shopping for supplies while the rest take a breather and lunch" Spider-man said

"Pretty much" Garrus said, pausing as he realized Peter's statement "Now that you mention it"

"We got the short end of the straw buddy" Peter said

"You said it" Garrus nodded "Wait, 'Short end of the Straw'?"

"I'm getting you a book on human expressions Garrus" Peter said "You're going to need one if you're hanging around me all the time"

"Now you consider this?" Garrus remarked "Why didn't you think of this several months ago"

"Never came up"

"Sometimes, I wonder why we're friends"

"You know you don't mean that" Spider-man said wittingly "I'm the only one who can put up with you"

"Right back at ya"

The duo soon arrived at the shop Garrus was leading Peter to.

"So, what now?" Peter said with a shrug

"Now, we find the right armor for you" Garrus said, approaching a shelf holding many armor sized vests

"You know what really shocks me" Spider-man said, now standing alongside his friend "The fact that there is an armory shop for all citizens"

"Not necessarily" Garrus said, inspecting a wrist piece "You need to have certain privileges and warrants in order to purchase items here"

"Like being a C-sec detective?" Peter guessed now holding up a chest piece

"Exactly" Garrus said "That or a Spectre. So long as you have this"

Garrus activated a function on his Omni-tool, displaying to Peter what he brought up.

"You could buy practically anything"

"That looks like Shepards pass" Peter pointed out

"What he doesn't know won't kill him" Garrus said

"Devious man, aren't you" Peter joked

"So, what do you think of this?" Garrus said, holding up a full piece suit

"To blocky" Spider-man said, examining the suit before putting it down "I need mobility"

"Why?"

Peter gave the Turian a deadpanned expression, causing his friend to falter

"Right" Garrus said "Sorry"

"It's ok" Peter said offhandedly

"Hmm" Garrus stroked his chin, eyeing several armor pieces with some red tint on them

"How bout these" Garrus said, walking up to them "They have your color"

"They do look good" Peter admitted, looking over Garrus's shoulder "But I don't know how any of these armors function"

"Don't worry about it" Garrus waved it off "You're on a team of specialists who wear this stuff every day. We'll teach you everything we know"

"Wow, didn't think about that" Peter place a hand on Garrus's shoulder "thanks a bunch pal"

"Hey, you said this once before" Garrus said "What are friends for?"

"Ugh, did you have to make it a rhyme?"

"I did?" Garrus recalled for a moment "Oh yeah, I did"

"Hmm" Peter now held up several of the armor parts, inspecting them inch by inch "How will I afford all this stuff"

"Hey, a Spectres status can get you anything around here" Garrus said with a mischievous glint in his eye

"You know, for a guy who despised Spectres, you're awfully flexible when it comes to working with one" Spider-man dryly stated

"Hey, when you're a C-sec detective, you've gotta be flexible" Garrus said

"You're horrible" Peter chortled "Let's drain 'em"

"With pleasure" Garrus said, the two sharing evil grins

One hour later

"Did we really need to buy that helmet?" Peter asked as Garrus walked out wearing it

"Hey, I think it's pretty cool" Garrus said

"Can you at least take it off" Peter said

"Ugh, fine" Garrus groaned, removing his new helmet "Ruin my fun"

"Let's go drop these off on the Normandy" Spider-man said

"Then Lunch" Garrus said "We've already all the shopping for the ship"

"How long do we have here?" Peter asked

"Probably a week at best" Garrus guessed "Minimum four days"

"Then we better make the most of it"

Garrus and Peter soon dropped off everything they had purchased at the Normandy docking bay and departed to get some food for the bellies.

"I'm curious" Peter spoke up while their transport arrived at their favorite food stand before the whole Saren mission "Are Shepard and the others still eating?"

"Let's find out" Garrus went to his Omni-tool

With Shepard

"And Then BLAM" Wrex said, banging his fist on the table "I killed that Thresher Maw with a single shot to the mouth"

"But it nearly swallowed you whole" Kaidan pointed out

"Ha, that was the best part" Wrex said, jugging down his drink "Stared right into the mouth of death and I shot it point blank"

"Can't deny that was a hell of an entertaining story" Ashley stated, eating her sushi

"And I can't deny that this place is amazing" Liara said "I've never had sushi"

"They say that this is one of the best places to eat on the entire Citadel" Kaidan informed

"Yeah and look at the fish tank" Shepard said glancing around "They have it installed around the entire restaurant"

"Glad you invited me then" Wrex said sincerely "Haven't had grub this good in months"

"Speaking of invitations" Tali said, fiddling with her straw "Why haven't we called Garrus or Peter over? It seems rather rude to not include them"

"True" Shepard said thoughtfully "But, I think I need a break from them"

"Why?" Tali and Liara asked

"They both talk too much" Kaidan, Ashley and Shepard said all at the same time

"That seems to be Peter's job above all else" Wrex grumbled "Crest head, who does he think he is?"

"You're upset over that?" Ashley, biting back a laugh "You're lucky you don't know who Barney the Dinosaur is"

"Dinosaur?" Wrex said with interest "What's that?"

"Story for another time" Shepard said "We'll save that for movie night when we watch Jurassic Park"

Back with Garrus and Peter

"They didn't pick up"

"So either they didn't notice or are intentionally ignoring us" Peter said, taking the food the human vendor gave them "Thanks Larry"

"No Problem Pete" Larry the human said in his Brooklyn accent "Good to see you and Garrus around. Where've ya been the past few weeks?"

"Meh, important C-sec work, the usual bureaucratic nonsense" Garrus said casually

"It's phrases like those that make me glad I walked away from that" Larry said

"Believe me" Peter said, paying the vendor "I did the same thing"

"Whatever you say guys" Larry said with a salute "I'll see ya around"

"Later Larry" Both Garrus and Peter said, walking away

"So what now?" Peter asked, chomping down on his hotdog

"Well I was feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to stop by Chora's den for old times sake" Garrus said "But then I remembered it got closed down"

"What options does that leave us with?"

Before their small banter could go on, both enforcers of the law heard the familiar sound of C-sec Sirens.

They glanced up to see several vehicles on the run from C-sec cars.

The two stared briefly before looking at one another.

"That'll do. Duty calls" They said at the same time, Garrus pinning on his C-sec badge, Peter unbuttoning his shirt to reveal his Spider-man costume

"Guess somethings never change" Peter said, running to a nearby alley way whilst Garrus opted to run ahead

"Can't believe I'm nearby this place" Garrus murmured

The flying cars performed a hard right, veering clear of a building all of them nearly crashed into.

"Watch it" Yelled a familiar Turian "You nearly got us killed"

"Trying to avoid C-sec here, YOU JACKASS" The human driver yelled "No Backseat driving"

"Do you want a bullet in your head?" Gaius threatened

"Do you want to legitimately crash?" the human shot back

"Do you want to pull over?" A voice quipped

"No…..HUH?!"

The human and Gaius turned their head to the window and saw Spider-man waving.

"SPIDER-MAN" Gaius shouted in fury

"Gaius" Spider-man said jovially "I haven't seen you in weeks, how've you been ole buddy"

"Getting ready to kill you" Gaius said, pointing his rifle right at Spider-man

"So nothing new then" Spider-man said, casually leaning back his head allowing the bullets to fly past before him

"SPIRITS SAKE, DO YOU EVER SHUT UP"

"Gaius, I'm only telling you this as a friend" Spider-man jumped back as Gaius fired at the web swinger

"You need anger management" Spider-man shouted, swinging after the runaway cars

"This is Gaius" The Turian criminal spoke through comm links "Spider-man is in pursuit of us. Fire at will"

The cars behind Gaius's had their side doors opened. Turians, Salarians, Krogans, Batarians and humans began openly firing at the swinging superhero

"What a welcoming party" Spider-man said, flipping through the air, easily dodging the gunfire

"Is there room for two?" A friendly voice said in Peter's ear

"Garrus" Spider-man glanced back to find Garrus on a…..

"IS THAT A FLYING MOTORCYCLE?!" Spider-man exclaimed in shock

"It's my own" Garrus said, revving up the engine "I've never actually gotten a chance to us it until now. Talk about convenience"

(I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY. THERE ARE FLYING CARS IN THIS GALAXY. I'm surprised that we ever saw a flying motorcycle in this game in the first place)

"THAT'S SO AWESOME" Spider-man exclaimed

"I know right!" Garrus said "It also has this"

Garrus flicked a lever on the control panel and out popped a small miniature turret

"God, this day just got so much more cooler" Spider-man said as he now swung alongside his friend "I normally don't say this but, right now feels totally appropriate"

"Say what"

Garrus could feel the grin directed at him from Spider-man

"Let's go kick some ass partner"

Garrus grinned

"With pleasure" Garrus said "Say Peter, I remember you yelled this phrase a few times when you jumped from buildings. What was it again?"

Elsewhere

Shepard, Kaidan, Tali, Liara and Ashley exited a restaurant, currently out of their armor.

"Ah, that place has the best sushi" Kaidan said contentedly, tapping his stomach

"I do admit" Liara said "I never had anything like that"

"I'm just surprised they had something for me to eat from the Flotilla" Tali said "I never thought that a human would cook it so properly"

"Well, we humans are just full of surprises" Shepard said smugly

"Hmph, can't deny the dessert was good" Wrex said

"So now what do we do?" Ashley asked

"I guess we should go and find Garrus and Peter" Liara threw out there "I do think it is rude that we neglected them"

"I guess" Kaidan said "But where do you think they are?"

"LOOKOUT" Somebody shouted within the vicinity, abruptly ending all activity within the area before everyone ran for cover as three speeding flying cars flew by

"Yeesh" Kaidan said "Lot of excitement on the Citadel today"

"Huh" Shepard said

"What is it, Skipper?" Ashley asked

"I've got this weird feeling of dread" Shepard said thoughtfully "And relief….and embarrassment. Strange. When I listed all of that down, Spider-man came to mind"

"Maybe we should find him and Garrus then" Tali said

"And Just where could those two Pyjaks possibly be?"

"HI-HOOOO SILVER" Two familiar voice shouted from above.

The Normandy team looked up and saw the Red and blue blur of Spider-man followed by the silvery gray flying motorcycle of Garrus Vakarian.

"There's your answer" Ashley deadpanned at Wrex

"Ask and you shall receive" Shepard said, now running after them

"And just how are we supposed to catch up to that?!" Tali exclaimed now sprinting after Shepard along with the others

Spider-man and Garrus in the meantime were weaving up and around the constant hail of gun fire.

"Do these people EVER run out of ammo"

"Shit" A Turian said aloud in the car closest to the dynamic duo "That was the last ammo clip"

"BOOYAH" Spider-man said, rocketing forward "Thank you plot device or whatever normally happens"

"Hey what do ya know?" Garrus said twirling his pistol "I guess the phrase does work. Ask and you shall receive"

With well aimed precision, Garrus shot down several thugs before Spider-man shot into the back and with grace and ease, took out the remaining men.

"Sorry we can't hang around" Spider-man said, tossing the now encased criminals and shooting web lines at each cocoon. Once each line connected to the falling thugs, Spider-man leapt out of the car.

In the blink of an eye, Spider-man fired one web shooter to form a giant web in the path of the car before attaching the strands he held to a railing.

Garrus stopped next to the driver's side of the snagged car. The window was down showing a rattled Salarian.

The Turian detective simply punched the Salarian, effectively knocking him out.

"One down" Garrus said

"Two to go" Spider-man said, passing by Garrus, gaining speed towards the next car

"AH" A Batarian shouted "HE'S GAINING ON US"

"Why are you so scared of a lanky human?" A Krogan growled

"Clearly you haven't been here for the past few months" A Turian said dryly

"And clearly you guys need to pay attention more"

"Huh?" All on board the car said when they all looked forward and saw the way to close upside down head of Spider-man

"AAAAAH" All of them shouted, jumping back and all falling out of the car

"Wow, that was to way to easy" Spider-man muttered, leaping after them "I feel like something should be said about that"

Spider-man shot both web shooters, successfully bringing together all falling mercs before creating another large web to hold them all.

Garrus followed that up my zooming by in front of the driver causing him to swerve sharply and crash into the ground.

"One more to go" Garrus said

"And it's our old friend Gaius" Spider-man said jovially

"Him again?" Garrus said in disbelief "Seriously how does he keep getting out?"

"Meh, who cares" Spider-man said, landing on the backseat of Garrus's bike "This is just way to fun"

"I second that" Garrus said excitedly, his motor bike accelerating

Gaius glanced out the window and saw Garrus and Spider-man gaining on them.

"Can't this thing go any faster?" Gaius shouted at the Salarian driver

"Not when you're YELLING AT ME IN THE EAR" The Salarian roared back comically

"See, this is why you always go to prison Gaius"

"GAH" Gaius fired wildly at the windscreen

"YOU IDIOT" The Salarian shouted "I'm flying blind now"

Gaius simply shot more until the glass completely shattered and scattered.

"Whoa" Spider-man quickly yanked the gun away from Gaius's hand "That's not nice"

"And neither is this" Gaius growled, pulling out a long machete

"Where the heck were you hiding that?" Spider-man said in genuine confusion

"RAAA" Gaius yelled swinging wildly at the vigilante

"To slow" Spider-man said, now snatching that out of Gaius's hand

"AURGH" Gaius shouted in total frustration and anger "WILL YOU EVER LEAVE ME ALONE"

"No he will not" A voice said from the passenger side of the flying car

"Garrus Vakarian" Gaius snarled

"Oh you're distracted" Spider-man said, encasing Gaius in a web like straight jacket before addressing the Salarian driver "Pull over"

The Salarian glared at the superhero

"Fine" He said "I didn't even want to do this"

"Well that's nice" Garrus said "I'll add that on my report and reduce your sentence"

"Really?"

"No"

"Aw man"

Several minutes later, Peter and Garrus were on the ground with the rest of the runaway criminals.

Gaius was hopelessly struggling against his bonds, his mouth muffled to prevent him from screaming or saying anything.

"Why don't you gag him more often" Garrus asked "This helps us save so much headache medication"

"I would, but it's a waste of web fluid" Spider-man said "I'd rather him be knocked out. It's more gratifying"

"True, but this is more entertaining"

"Can't deny that"

"We'll take it from here" A Turian C-sec officer said, grabbing Gaius firmly

"No problem Officer" Spider-man said "Sorry for all the commotion. Seemed like a quiet day"

"No need to apologize for anything" The officer said gratefully "It's good to see you back here Spider-man. And you as well Garrus, sir. If you don't mind me asking, where have you guys been the past few weeks?"

"Spectre business" Garrus replied

"Yeah, we've been recruited by the first human Spectre himself on his mission to catch that Rogue Saren" Spider-man followed up

"So you're finally getting your wish in catching the guy, eh Garrus?" The Turian said to the detective "Half of the force was wondering when you'd drop everything and gun after Saren"

"It wasn't" Garrus shuffled a bit "That obvious was it?"

"You don't want us to answer to that" Spider-man said wittingly, throwing a friendly arm over his friends shoulder

"Garrus, Spider-man"

"Hey, speak of the devil" Spider-man said, turning to greet his teammates that just arrived on the scene

"Commander Shepard" Garrus nodding his head towards him "Guys"

"You guys go out for an hour and then this happens" Ashley dryly said

"You obviously haven't been in the Citadel the past few months" Garrus remarked "This is every Friday"

"This is a Friday?" Kaidan said, arching an eyebrow at all the commotion

"It's mostly cause of Gaius over there" Garrus said, jabbing his thumb at the Turian that was shoved into a C-sec car

"Gaius?" Shepard said

"Weekly criminal of ours" Spider-man said "When I started out here, he was the first guy I caught. Since then, we've been bringing him in quite frequently"

"But he keeps getting out" Wrex pointed out

"Yeah" Spider-man said dejectedly "I really don't know how he does it. The only time hints we get are the gaping holes in all the cells or vehicles that contain him. Seriously, we don't know what causes this cause there is literally nothing at the scene"

"Yeah" Garrus said "So what did you guys do?"

That night in Gaius's new cell

Gaius sat there, head hung low.

"Caught yet again, Eh Gaius?" His cellmate said casually as he read his magazine

"Oh look who's still here" Gaius snapped irritably "Sakoln Laemor Lusar"

"That's my name" The Salarian said uninterested "Glad to know you still remember"

"Ugh, why do I keep getting myself placed in here" Gaius said

"You should consider yourself lucky" Sakoln said, closing his magazine "You came at a very opportune time"

"What is it this time" Gaius remarked "Another one of your sonic grenades that will help me escape only to get thrown back in?"

"No" Sakoln went to grab something from underneath his bed and hefted up two oddly shaped gauntlets "May I introduce to you my brand new shock gauntlets"

"Shock Gauntlets?" Gaius said with intrigue "So you finally created your crazy little side project"

"It's not crazy in the slightest" Sakoln said coolly "This is basic advanced science. After all those test runs with your escapes, I finally perfected them into a more smaller, concentrated form"

"Well isn't that wonderful" Gaius said, tilting his head "Hang on, didn't you say that if you used something like this, you can get serious backlash?"

"Of course, But I'm willing to take that risk" Sakoln said, slipping on the gauntlets

"You're going to do this right now?" Gaius said in disbelief "Thanks but no thanks, I just got here"

"Very well then" Sakoln said, loosening up his shoulders "I'll come for you later Gaius"

"Yeah, yeah" Gaius now settled down onto his bed "You do that"

With the Normandy team

"So this is what you do on a daily basis" Said the voice of Shepard into Peter's ear

"Yup" Spider-man said, casually swinging from building to building with the others following after him from down below thanks to some rental cars. Garrus flew on Spider-mans level thanks to his flying bike "I'm surprised you guys decided to tag along"

"Well we wanted to know what it was like patrolling with a superhero" Shepard admitted "Especially Wrex"

"Don't push it bub" Wrex said, causing Spider-man to nearly fall to the ground

"Seriously" Spider-man said "When I get back, the first thing I'm doing is introducing you to my good friend Logan, Wrex. I swear, you guys will have the best time together"

"And I still can't believe you have a flying motorcycle, Garrus" Kaidan said in wonder "Where and When did you get the time for that?"

"My father helped me make blueprints for it fifteen years ago. We saw some of humanities old vehicles and we thought we can build on" Garrus said "I've been working on it for five years now"

"And your father?" Shepard asked tentatively

"He passed on the year I started making this" Garrus said somberly "It's alright, no need to say anything"

Spider-man suddenly performed a nose dive.

"SPIDER-MAN" Tali, Liara, Kaidan and Ashley all shouted in shock

"What are you people yelling about?" Garrus chuckled at their expressions "He does this all the time"

The four looked down to see Spider-man swooped down to web down a mugger before shooting right back up into the skyline to rejoin the others

"I heard that by the way" Spider-man said, holding back his laughter at their mortified expressions. Well mostly Ashley. The others were just somewhat embarrassed at getting that worked up so easily

"So you guys DO care about me" Spider-man said cheekily

"Hmph" Shepard smirked in good humor "What do you think Spidey? Call it a night?"

"We usually do go for our nightly drinks around this time" Garrus said, glancing at his Omni-tool for the time

"But Chora's Den is wrecked" Spider-man said dejectedly "Sure it was a criminal hotspot, but it was still our spot"

"Then where do we go?" Garrus asked

"You guys aren't serious are you?" Ashley asked

"Yes" Garrus and Peter said in unison

"Why do I even bother?" Ashley said, rolling her eyes

"If you're looking for a place to drink" Wrex perked up "I know a place"

Several minutes later

"The grand Marvel?" Peter Parker, now out of his costume, read aloud(Corny and stupid, but meh, what're you gonna do?)

"Doesn't look that grand?" Kaidan said

"I learned this human expression here" Wrex said, making for the entrance "Never judge a book by its cover"

"Is it strange that the Krogan of the team knows more human customs then the rest of us" Liara said

"More stranger than the fact that we have a guy like Spider-man on our team?" Ashley shot back

Liara contemplated briefly "I see your point"

The remainder of the crew followed Wrex into the bar.

"WHOA" Peter exclaimed "This place is wicked awesome!"

The entire club was enormous

It had on large first floor with two more balcony floors all with open roofs that surrounded the dance floor.

"Wrex, you really set the bar high on this one" Shepard complimented, nudging the Krogan battle master

Wrex grinned "Consider it payment for taking me on this fun adventure"

"I'll take it" Peter said "They have an arcade here"

"Seriously?" Ashely deadpanned "That's what caught your attention? How immature can you *GASP* Is that Mortal Kombat X? Gang way"

"What was that about us being immature?" Tali murmured over to Kaidan, Garrus and Peter who all laughed

"Come on Liara, I'll buy you a drink" Shepard offered to the somewhat shy Asari.

"Thank you Shepard" Liara said gratefully

"Looks like the commander is busting a move" Peter said knowingly

"How much do you wager they sleep together the next time they're alone together?" Wrex suggested

The four guys, minus Tali who was listening to the music overhead, huddled together and began placing bets on Liara and Shepard getting together.

The rest of the team save for Ash soon were all sitting at a decently sized table.

Peter, being the strongest and most balanced of the team, carried their entire tray of drinks over to the table.

"Alrighty team" Peter announced "Drinks on the house"

"You got these for free?" Kaidan said in amazement

"No, I paid for them" Peter said "You all owe me"

"Seriously?"

"Nah, I'm just messing with you guys" Peter said, sitting down between Tali and Garrus

"So what's next on our agenda boss" Kaidan asked "Where do we go after Noveria?"

"I've been thinking about following Saren's trail" Shepard said, contemplative expression and all "I have a strong feeling that he will not be making his move as soon as possible. Time has obviously been on his side and he's still utilizing it considering the fact that there has been absolutely no retaliation from his part whatsoever after the loss of Benezia"

"So then what should we do?" Peter leaned in "Retrace his steps or something?"

"More like, find out where he's had the most influence" Shepard said "A planet, system or station of sorts where Saren has had a personal hand in. If we go there, we can sniff for clues that may prove useful in figuring out just what Saren's endgame will be"

"Seems to be the only logical step" Ashley agreed

"Then how do we know where to go?" Tali asked

"The council may know of a few things" Shepard said, a bit annoyed at the aspect of talking to council YET again

"Well, let's not worry about that right now" Garrus interrupted "For now, let's just enjoy our drinks and small break"

"Good idea" Shepard said whole heartedly, lifting his glass, the others doing the same

"Any ideas on what we should toast to?" Peter asked

"To the campaign" Shepard said

"To the campaign" The team chorused, clanking their cups together and downing their drinks(Tali, sipping through a straw)

The night progressed slowly, the team idly chatting about random subjects.

Peter was especially enthralled with what Tali told him about living on the Flotilla and all her technical know how.

"So everything is reliant on Element Zero then?" Peter surmised

"Yes" Tali sighed dejectedly "And there are times where our supply of E-zero gets dangerously low. We have been able to adapt and utilize everything on the Flotilla to its fullest potential, but it is still difficult"

"I can relate to that somewhat" Peter admitted "But nothing like what you just described"

Peter let out a dry chuckle

"You know, if my friend Tony Stark were here, he'd talk about doing some crazy crusade on helping out your people"

"What? Really?" Tali asked, perplexed by this "How?"

Peter raised an eyebrow at her blatant curiosity, but shrugged and decided to go along with it.

"Well, Tony Stark, for starters, is one of the most brilliant men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with as well as being mentored by him" Peter began "This guy was a technical genius, he could build practically anything. His crowning achievement by far is the ARC reactor"

"Arc reactor?"

"It's a self-sustaining gizmo that he made" Peter said offhandedly "You see, early on in his life, Tony was caught in a firefight and got shrapnel embedded into his chest. He would've died had it not been for a mini arc reactor he installed*Peter taps his chest* right here"

"Keelah" Tali muttered, rubbing her chest at the thought of that "This arc reactor was all mechanical?"

"Yup" Peter said "The Arc Reactor Tony perfected had the capability of powering entire ships for years on end before the need to install any new ones. Completely clean, self-sustaining energy that uses up nothing more than space"

"That sounds incredible" Tali said in wonder

"Oh yeah, it is" Peter said, sighing in longing at the thought of it "Took me a few years but now I know how to make one on the large scale that Tony did"

"You do?" Tali perked up at that.

"Oh yeah" Peter said "If I get the right components and ingredients, I could make an arc reactor of any size. May take a while since I'm not a mech genius like Stark but I sure as hell can do it"

"Really?" Tali said "Interesting"

"Say, how's your pilgrimage, or whatever it's called?" Peter asked "You said it's important in your path to adulthood"

"Yes, but I haven't been getting much headway" Tali said sadly "The only real progress I've been getting is spending time on the Normandy. I'm learning so much about its technology, maybe I can take some of that back with me to my home. Make my people's struggle more bearable"

Peter twirled his cup around, the small amount of liquid left going in the circular motion.

"Well Tali" Peter said, standing up "If you need any help, whatsoever, do not hesitate to call"

"Huh?" Tali said, befuddled "Why?"

"Why?" Peter chuckled "Cause we're friends Tali. And friends do things for one another without any exchange necessary"

Peter left a contemplative Quarian at the table as he went up to the bar.

"Don't even know why I bother" Peter murmured "I don't think I've ever gotten drunk"

He signaled the bartender for a refill, which the Salarian obliged.

'Just like any other day at Avengers Tower' Peter thought, a small smile on his face

'Let's see' Peter went on, mentally 'Shepard is definitely a mix of Cap and Tony, Wrex is Hulk and Logan, Garrus is Clint, Ashley is Carol, Liara is…I'll come back to her later…..now that I am thinking about it, wonder who Tali and Kaidan fall under. Meh it'll come to me eventually'

"Well, well, well" A familiar smooth, Australian accented voice snapped Peter out of his thought process "If it isn't the man who left without a goodbye"

Looking over to his left, his eyes widened in surprise.

"Miranda?" Peter said "Miranda! Hey, what're you doing here?"

Miranda Lawson was leaning against the bar with both arms, her expression and body stature holding the calm and cool pose that Peter had seen every time he saw her.

"Oh now you find me" Miranda said coolly "I've been here at the bar for some time now and only now you notice me"

"Heh" Peter rubbed the back of his head "Sorry 'bout that, I guess. I was just here with some friends"

"Friends in high places" Miranda said, her gesturing to the table where his crew sat "Commander Shepard, first human Spectre"

"You know about that?" Peter said

"Everyone does" Miranda said like it was obvious "Word spreads like wildfire when it comes to monumental moves in this galaxy. The first human Spectre warrants this type of attention"

"I guess" Peter said "I've just never really been one for politics. Too much of a headache"

"On that, I believe the entire galaxy would agree with you"

"Did you just compliment me?" Peter said in mock disbelief "I don't believe it"

"And like that, my pleasure of seeing you again has vanished" Miranda coldly stated

"Geez, brutal much" Peter said "But that means you missed me"

"Not really" Miranda admitted causing Peter to deflate. Miranda almost gave a small smirk at that. Almost.

"Ouch" Peter muttered "I see your honesty hasn't changed in the slightest"

"But, I do miss these conversations of ours" Miranda said, making Peter comically throw his hands up in victory

"I'll take what I can get" He said in mock-triumph "Still, I'm surprised to hear that"

"You're not alone in that regard" Miranda said, taking a sip from her drink "I found myself surprisingly bored for quite some time and our little chats at Chora's Den alleviated that boredom. Then, Chora's Den closes down and you drop off the map"

"So you wanted to simply talk to me?"

"More or less" Miranda said, surprising herself a little at how forward she was in admitting it

"Heh" Peter chortled "Well, how could you do that if you have no way of contacting me? Besides, that place shut down cause it was a nesting ground for crime and corruption"

"Yes I know" Miranda said "And do you know what caused its shutdown?"

"Uh….good dedicated police work?"

"Spider-man and the first human Spectre himself" Miranda said flatly "Did that escape your attention"

"I was handling other business at the time" Peter said, pulling out a folder from his backpack that I forgot to mention he had "Thought you'd like a friendly, 'hey-how's-it-going gift"

Miranda glanced down at the file then back at Peter, who shot her a 'Well-what-are-you-waiting-for' look.

Miranda tenderly took the file and opened it, pulling out more photos of Spider-man in action.

"This was today's car chase" Miranda said in realization

"That's not all" Peter said "Since I know you have a fatal attraction to the guy, I've been working on something really awesome. Bring up your Omni-tool"

Miranda did so, Peter bringing up his own. He typed in instructions, his Omni-tool glowing before Miranda's glowed a moment later.

"What did you do?"

"Just a little something extra" Peter shrugged "I know you have a fascination with spider-man, which I don't blame you for, since I take photos of him everywhere he goes"

"You are a too generous for your own good" Miranda said harshly

"Thanks" Peter said, all chipper and such

"And an abundance of optimism" Miranda said, actually chuckling slightly

"No way" Peter gaped "I made you laugh? This is a victory for the ages. After many months of meetings, I Peter Benjamin Parker have successfully made Miranda Lawson, the Ice Queen"

"Ice Queen?" Miranda said in an 'icy tone'

"Ice queen?" Peter said meekly, shivering at the venomous glare that Miranda "Oh no what I meant was…"

Peter could say no further as the shocking sound of Miranda Lawson, Giggling! At his expense stunned him silent.

"Did you just?" Peter pointed warily

"What?" Miranda said, already knowing what Peter was implying "What's wrong with me laughing?"

"Nothing it's just….you just never gave off that vibe" Peter lamely explained

"Vibe?" Miranda huffed in amusement

"Yeah" Peter said truthfully "In all the times we've spent time together you always kept up this stoic, stone-cold persona. I remember vividly the few times you cracked a smile or joke. It brings out a different side of you. But you laughing *Heh* totally new experience"

"Well, like you said to me before you went off on whatever it is you do" Miranda said "I'm full of surprises"

And like that Miranda turned to leave, but not before…

"Tell me" The cat suit clad brunette said, glancing back to the web-head "Are you going to be around?"

"For the week" Peter answered "Why?"

"Well" Miranda subconsciously fiddled with her fingers behind her back "I'm also in town for the week. Are you gonna be back tomorrow?"

Peter blinked, his brain not fully comprehending just what was Miranda insinuating. The Cerberus operative herself couldn't understand just what she was asking.

"Um….yeah" Peter said dumbly

"Good" Miranda said a bit to positively

Catching herself before anybody else(Peter) would notice, she easily put up her usual cool persona back on.

"I look forward to speaking with you again" Miranda said

"Oh" Peter said, before shaking his head "I mean, great. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Perhaps" Miranda said enigmatically, leaving with a barely noticeable spring in her step

"Geez, could you be anymore vague?" Peter deadpanned, knowing she was out of earshot

"Well, I see that as her playing hard to get" Said a familiar dry voice behind him

"Oh god, please don't tell me you saw and heard everything" Peter moaned pleadingly

Garrus laugh aloud

"Don't worry, I only saw her walk away" Garrus said, slapping Peter on the back "But my, my, I never knew you had such great taste, Pete. Saw her whole face and body and I can't deny, even for me, that was quite the catch"

"Yeah I bet" Peter said sarcastically

"Anyway, Shepard and the rest of us are heading back to the Normandy for the night" Garrus informed "You coming?"

"Nah, go on ahead" Peter waved off "I'm gonna do one last patrol before I hit the hay"

"Hit the….Is that code for going to bed eventually?"

"Would you look at that, there is a brain under there" Peter said cheerfully

"Ha ha" Garrus remarked "I'll see ya later, Pete"

"You too Garrus"

The two fist bumped and the Turian departed.

Peter waved at his teammates who waved back goodbye in return, leaving our favorite wall-crawler to his own muses.

"Hmm" Peter finished his drink, leaving a nice tip for the bartender, departing instantly.

Once he saw an alleyway(Cause there's always one nearby) Peter rushed in, changing in the blink of an eye from Peter Parker to the Amazing Spider-man.

"WOOOHOOOO" Peter hollered taking to the air

"Watch out Citadel" Spider-man said out loud to himself "The Spider-man is back in the neighborhood"

Spider-man fired a web line, swinging in between the buildings and flying cars of the citadel, leaving jaws dropped wherever he swung by.

"Man, those expressions are always priceless" Spider-man said, laughing all the while.

Peter continued his patrol, casually swinging around when…

"Hello" Peter saw a small figure in the shadows exit a building with a pouch over its shoulder

"Haven't had expert thievery on my resume yet" Spider-man said "Been waiting for that one"

Performing a corkscrew in midair, Spider-man shot forward like a slingshot, landing perfectly right in front of the figure

"Alright" Peter said, casually standing straight while the figure before him stood frozen in shock

"I feel as though I've done this routine already" Spider-man said nonchalantly "But I need you to hand over the bag and blah blah blah, typical kind of procedure….sort of….well not really I guess….cause you know"

Peter gestured down to himself

"I don't think any C-sec ever took you in looking like this"

"No" The figure spoke at last in a sultry, accented tone "I don't think I ever have"

Spider-man couldn't explain it. What was this horrifying feeling that was rising up from his gut. And worse it had a sense of familiarity to it.

'I haven't felt like this since I first met Kat' Spider-man thought to himself 'Hell, every time I'm with her I feel like…OH GOD'

"I must say" The figure finally stepped into the light "I've never met anyone who held a very similar taste of fashion to my own"

'NO NO NO NOOOOOO' Peter was screaming internally 'Why is my Spider-sense not going off. DAMMIT THIS CAN NOT BE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!'

"So" The hooded female began to slowly, sensually advance towards the arachnid hero "I have heard rumors running rampant across the citadel about a man dressed in a red and blue spandex suit taking it to crime like an anvil. But for him to now stand before me with a suit that shows off everything perfectly"

Peter began shivering in fear.

"Hey" He said meekly "You know, I'm gonna have to ask you to return whatever you took, otherwise I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I"

Was all Peter managed out the moment the hooded thief pressed herself up against the hero, one finger trailing circles around his chest.

'If there is a god, he is punishing me right now' Peter thought, desperately trying to think of a way out of this

"SCREW IT, I AM NOT GOING THOUGH THAT AGAIN" Spider-man shouted comically, running at breakneck speed, surprising the thief once again at the inhuman actions of this man.

Kasumi Goto barely had time to run up to the edge of the building to catch the web swinger swinging away like a cannon.

"Spider-man" Kasumi said, a glint in her eye

Peter felt such a chill down his spine, he seized in mid swing. Due to this, Spider-man inadvertently let go of his rope.

Thankfully though, there was a building in front of Peter and with his quick reflexes and endurance, he easily clung to the window he landed on without any effects aside from a slight shake.

"Whew" Spider-man said, position himself to sit on the window "This is seriously too much. Did I just meet the Black Kat of this universe? God tell me this is some kind of joke"

Spider-man hung his head, still trying to comprehend what he just experienced. Something he had hoped would be practically would not face here. Yet, by some horrifying irony of sorts, Peter just ran into one of the few things he dread every night back in New York.

Peter was so lost in his thoughts, he didn't hear the sound of a window sliding open beside him.

"Spider-man?" A small, child voice said

"Hmm?"

Spider-man was now looking down at an Asari child. Instead of fear or shock, the little girl held nothing but awe and adoration in her eyes.

Something clicked in the web-heads mind.

"Hey" Spider-man said, scratching his head "You look familiar….Hang on, don't tell me"

Spider-man sat there, trying to remember where he had seen this familiar face

He snapped his fingers

"I remember now" Peter said cheerfully "If it isn't my favorite little trooper, Leose"

Leose only jumped about excitedly, happy that her idol recognized her.

"Now what are you doing up this late?" Peter said in a mock serious tone "Isn't it past your bedtime? What would your mother say about this?"

Leose only giggled as any child would.

"I don't have any school tomorrow" Leose said happily

"Well aren't you a lucky one" Peter said, nimbly placing himself in front of the kid "Many of us don't have that privilege. I have work every day and night as a hero. Constant dangers and threats that need the help of the mighty, amazing, spectacular Spider-man"

Leose just continued to laugh at the over the top voice and movements of the web-head.

"C'mon Leose" Peter said warmly, patting the Asari on her head "Don't stay up to long. A growing kid needs her sleep"

"Yes mister Spider-man" Leose said giddily

'Well she's not going to sleep for a while' Peter thought in amusement

"You still got our special call?" Peter asked

Leose paused, then paled. Then she began sniffling

"Whoa, Whoa" Peter said, panicking now "What's wrong?"

"I lost my old Omni-tool" Leose said, crying now

"Hey, Hey, don't worry Leose" Spider-man said reassuringly, reaching for something for his belt behind his back.

He pulled out a small metallic spider that can fit in the palm of Leose's hand.

"This is a little special something I built myself" Spider-man said, gently taking Leose's hand

Opening the little girls hand, Spider-man placed the metal spider in her hind.

"See that red button?" Peter said, pointing right to it, Leose nodding a moment later

"If you ever need me, just push that button" Peter demonstrated and a second later, his belt made a beeping noise, startling the Asari a little "And I'll know and come running to see what you need"

Leose was now jumping with excitement. Next Peter knew, Leose threw her arms around him, hugging him closely.

Peter smiled, hugging her back.

'Never had a fan like her' Peter thought fondly

After breaking the hug, Peter rubbed her head making the little Asari smile with glee, blushing in embarrassment since her hero was treating her as such.

"Now take care of yourself Leose" Spider-man said leaning back "And remember, if you need me, just a button away"

And with that, Peter jumped away from the window.

Leose gasped and leaned out and saw Spider-man swinging away.

In an undisclosed location

Sakoln, the recent escapee of Citadel prison, was sitting in a very dingy room working profusely on his gauntlets.

The escape test proved invaluable, showing that his newest inventions were truly a breakthrough. The only problem was that it relied heavily on E-zero in its first stage. And in his first run, it completely drained all the element zero he had accumulated in his time at prison(Don't question it, these things just somehow always happen in those kinds of scenarios with little to no explanation given).

But now that he was free and was in one of his safe havens on the Citadel, there was an abundant cash of E-zero that he had gathered from his previous crime run.

The only real problem was now to adjust their weight, size and find a way for his body to be able to withstand the aftershock of his weapons firing off. When he tried just 12 hours ago, he collapsed unconscious after finding a place to hide. The pain was so much it nearly shattered everything in his body. Thankfully, by some miracle of a chance he survived. A way of withstanding the shock gauntlets power was the first thing he needed to do.

Luckily he had been devising a method of doing so. A Salarian body could only take so much, so he reinforced three times as much for extra precaution. With these new tech upgrades to his suit, he could take a lot more punishment then any normal kinetic shield. Hell he could probably take on a Mako shell from a distance. If it was point blank, not so much.

Sakoln stayed up all night long, working feverously on his suit and gauntlets, making sure there were no flaws on them.

The next day

Our friendly neighborhood spider-man casually swung around the Citadel on yet another patrol.

"Do you ever get bored of doing that?" Shepard asked through Peter's earpiece comm link "I mean, that looks incredible to say the least but still"

"Not really" Peter said truthfully "It helps clear the head"

"Right" Ashley said sarcastically "Swinging in a city skyline, hundreds of feet off the ground with nothing but a single strand of string is just so relaxing"

"Hey I got my ways and you've got yours, you don't see me judging you" Spider-man countered landing on the side of a building. He removed the head set he was wearing and looked directly into the camera on it "Why did I agree to this anyway? And where were you keeping these? What do you coincidentally have an entire stock of these helmet cams?"

"Well they are used to record live training simulations or active combat" Shepard countered "Almost every suit if equipped with these cameras. Most just choose not to use them unless necessary. Besides, us seeing you doing your Spider-man schtick from your point of view was too good of an opportunity to pass up"

"Didn't you guys already see the world in my eyes?"

"That doesn't count" Ashley said heatedly "Making us almost puke our guts out wasn't something we had planned ahead of time"

"Fine, stop complaining about it already" Peter said, perching atop a ledge before springing off into a vertical dive "Anyways, what's the plan for today?"

"Nothing really serious" Shepard replied "Today is just a day of relaxing as you're doing"

"Technically, I'm patrolling the citadel for any signs of crime"

"Well that's your own fault" Kaidan remarked "You're intentionally going out of your way for trouble"

"You'd be amazed at how trouble seems to find me more than I with it" Spider-man said dryly

"Trust us we know" Ashley said "We've only been on a few missions with you and Shepard and we've come to an agreement that we should expect bullshit around every corner"

"I Suddenly have a horrifying foreboding feeling of dread welling up inside me" Peter said ominously

"Geez, could ya sound more terrifying?" Ashley said "You actually scared me there"

"Yeah well with my Parker luck, something is bound to crop up during our little 'Shore leave'. Just trust the old Parker luck"

"You really have a lot of self-loathing" Shepard noted with a bit of concern

"Yeah" Peter said fondly "You have no idea"

Peter titled his head at the sound of….

"Duty calls" Peter said placing the headset back on

"Ohh, front row seats to Spider-man kicking ass" Kaidan said excitedly

"When did I become an attraction?" Spider-man said aloud

"UH, Spider-man" A new voice said in the comm links

"Garrus?" Spider-man instantly recognized "Hey buddy, where are you?"

"Somewhere where I feel as though that you would really come in handy" Garrus said weirdly yet seriously "Like right now. I'm sending you the coordinates now"

Garrus disconnected, Peter's Omni-tool activating with the received location seconds later.

"Garrus seemed pretty serious" Peter murmured to himself, now speeding up. It was at this point that Spider-man noticed that C-sec cars had pulled up above and besides him

"Did Garrus call for backup?" Shepard asked

"I don't think so" Spider-man said vaguely, now taking the lead.

Up ahead, Spider-man and the human trio of the Normandy saw smoke in the distance.

"Bank bomber?" Ashley suggested

"Maybe" Spider-man said, performing a slingshot maneuver, rocketing forward.

Once he was within range, Spider-man fired two lines to level his descent, landing cleanly behind a C-sec barricade with C-sec officers manning almost the entire wall.

"Wow, must be serious" Spider-man said "They've got the great wall of china blocking the place"

"Spider-man"

Peter looked back to see Garrus approaching him.

"Garrus, hey man, what's going on?" Spider-man greeted

Garrus hesitated

"It's…way to strange to explain" Garrus stated "We've never experienced anything like this"

"Exactly how weird is it?'

His question was answered with sights and sounds of the barricading being blown apart with officers and civilians.

Spider-man jolted forward, grabbing a Salarian C-sec, who was flying back from the shockwave. Setting the alien down, he checked for injuries.

"You alright?" Peter asked with Garrus kneeling down next to the other side

"I will be in time" The Salarian said in his species standard high paced speech "But that, I can't even begin to comprehend how he pulled it off. I've never seen anything like it"

"Pulled what off?" Garrus asked

"That" The Salarian pointed forward weakly

Now Garrus's answer was met with another. Both he and Spider-man stared ahead at the grayish smoke surrounding the area. For a few moments, Spider-man, Garrus and the down Salarian saw and heard nothing but smoke(You know. That hissing or whirring sound or something that has to do with the sound of smoke).

Peter narrowed his eyes when a shadow began to grow within the smoke. Bit by bit, the shadow grew and formed into a more solid, humanoid figure.

Then, the air itself seemed to vibrate before being sucked towards the figure hidden within the grayish vapor. It raised both of its arms then brought them together for a clap. The clap sent a shockwave of sorts, dispelling the shrouding concealment revealing a heavily armored Salarian.

"What...The hell was that?" Garrus said in total astonishment

The Salarian regarded his area for a moment when the visor landed on the sight of Spider-man.

"This is certainly a surprise" The Salarian spoke in a distorted voice "Judging by your ridiculous colors, attire and the black spider emblem on your chest, you must be that Spider-man the criminal underworld of the Citadel speaks so highly of"

"Huh?" Spider-man said in disbelief "Do I know you?"

"Of course not" The Salarian waved off casually "I have been in prison for quite some time"

"Really?" Spider-man quipped "I can't imagine why"

"Ah, I sharp tongue I see" The Salarian began to walk to his side, Spider-man now standing, mirrored his movement "Childish but not ineffective"

"Man you sound like one of the pretentious business people want to strangle" Spider-man shot back with ease

"I could imagine"

"So" Spider-man drawled out, now feeling awkward "You got a name? Or am I gonna call you 'T-man', cause I gotta admit that your visor is pretty cool"

"I see now why Gaius despises you so much" The Salarian stated catching Spider-man and Garrus off guard

"You know old feather face?"

"Quite" He clipped "After being imprisoned for the first time in his career, he went on a rant until I decided to help him escape"

"Wait what?" Spider-man over dramatically point at him "You helped him escape prison?!"

"I wanted peace and quiet" The Salarian said simply "Yet somehow he kept getting himself in a cell with me"

"Well we learned one thing today" Spider-man said

"Yeah, the C-sec sucks at holding super genius's" Garrus finished "And that's saying something cause this is one smart Salarian if he got out of prison"

"Enough about shockers, who is this kook anyway?"

"Since you oh so delicately asked"

The visor retracted upwards followed by the helmet collapsing into a back collar type thing.

"My name is Sakoln Laemor Lusar" The Salarian said confidently "The man who will put you down"

"Wait" Peter took a few steps back, trembling

"Spider-man?" Garrus said in concern

All concern or tension instantly dissolved the moment Spider-man exploded with laughter.

"BWAHAHAHAHAHHA" Spider-man collapsed onto the floor, backing it repeatedly before rolling onto his back, clutching his sides

"AHAHAHAHA HOHOH"

Sakoln and Garrus looked on, truly at a loss at what to do here.

"Is this seriously happening right now?" A voice said into Garrus's ear making the Turian jump

"What, we scared you Garrus?" A female voice teased

"Guys" Garrus rubbed his chest "I forgot you guys were there"

"So did we" Kaidan remarked "We were so enthralled with the confrontation between these two that we forgot to say anything"

"And then Spider-man began laughing" Shepard said

Spider-man was still laughing, now babbling incoherently.

"Are you done?" Sakoln asked, clearly irritated "I can't imagine what you find so humorous right now"

"I'm sorry" Spider-man said, now getting up though still chuckling

"Seriously though, That's your name? Lame or Loser? Honestly that's one of the funniest things I've ever heard. What kind of a name is that anyway?"

"…"

"Did you seriously just waste five minutes of my time, Just to LAUGH AT MY NAME" Sakoln shouted in pure rage

"Lame or Loser" Garrus said, testing out the joke. He pondered briefly before snickering which turned into chuckling then full blown laughter.

"You know what" Sakoln now said, his voice deadly "I think I've had quite enough of this stupidity"

Sakoln raised both arms, his helmet forming back onto his face.

Spider-man's spider-sense blared alarmingly. Instinctively, Peter back flipped over to Garrus, time slowing down from his point of view. He grabbed his Turian friend and jumped into the air as two beams shot out from Sakoln's gauntlets and sailed beneath them.

Garrus's eyes nearly fell out of his eye sockets and Kaidan, Ashley and Shepard's jaw dropped from their end of the headset cam.

"What the fuck?!" the human trio shouted whilst Garrus shouted "BY THE FUCKING SPIRITS"

"Whoa, What the hell was that?" Peter exclaimed after landing, setting Garrus to his feet

"I hardly believe a simpleton such as yourself would even begin to comprehend what I have made" Sakoln said smugly, raising one gauntlet that already had the air seemingly vibrating around it yet at the same time, towards the gauntlet.

This managed to catch the eye of the wall crawler, who concentrated on the Gauntlet.

"Are you gathering air into your gauntlet?" Peter inquired, momentarily pausing the Salarian.

"Consider me shocked" Sakoln admitted "That is actually a well educated guess. There is a brain behind your childish behavior. I've underestimated you"

"Meh, that's just what everybody assumes" Spider-man said bashfully "It's the underdog vibe I give off"

"Clearly" Sakoln snipped, now firing another shockwave

Spider-man and Garrus dived out of the way, the wave hitting a garbage can. The can stood no chance as it was completely shattered after a brief vibration.

Spider-man's analytical side kicked in as he saw what had occurred with the trash can.

"That blew the trash can to pieces" Peter murmured, his memory managing to recall how the trash can vibrated for a moment

"Those are some interesting weapons" Garrus said, now holding his sniper rifle "But I'm afraid I'm still gonna have to ask you to come in for questioning"

"You're not seriously asking me that?"

"You're right" Garrus said "I lied. I just really want to put you down"

"Then by all means officer" The Salarian spread his arms out mockingly "Take your best shot"

Narrowing his eyes at the taunt, Garrus complied.

"NO GARRUS WAIT" Spider-man cried out to late as Garrus had already fired.

The shot zoomed right at Sakoln's armored head. Sakoln made absolutely no movement. Then, in the blink of an eye, the bullet reached Sakolns head. Yet instead of going right through the Salarians head, instead of being absorbed by Kinetic barriers, the bullet completely bounced off his body and went high into the air.

"Uh" Garrus gaped "That's new"

"Oh I'm full of surprises" Sakoln said, firing two more beams at the Turian

Luckily, Spider-man tackled his friend out of the way.

"I think I get it now" Spider-man said, now facing Sakoln "Your Gauntlets Can project a concentrated blast of air that has been vibrated at an intense frequency. Once your gauntlets absorb and compress the air into your gauntlets, that's when you fire"

Sakoln was floored along with Spider-man's teammates.

"Now this is truly a surprise" Sakoln said "So you're not just a regular college student. I am not ashamed to admit that you are brilliant beneath that mask. Bravo Spider-man, I applaud you"

"You know, normally I would have no problem in taking a compliment" Spider-man admitted "But since it's coming to a high powered criminal, I think I'm gonna choose to deny the compliment"

"No matter" Sakoln said "I will not have you interfere with my plans"

"Bring it on Geico" Spider-man taunted, running at the Salarian

"Hmph, let's see how long you last" Sakoln said, firing his shock gauntlets repeatedly at every spot where Spider-man passed

"Impressive agility" Sakoln complimented "Let's see how long it will last"

"Hey buddy, in case you didn't know, I swing around in the skyline of the Citadel" Spider-man said "You think some jumping around is going to tire me out"

"Hmm" Sakoln thought hard on this "I'll take m y chances"

Now he charged at the web-head, who in turn ran right back at him. This however proved to be a mistake on Sakolns part, his head jolting from a bullet that bounced off him.

"Don't forget you're fighting two of us" Garrus said on one knee

"Thank you Garrus" Spider-man said throwing a right hook that connected to the Salarians helmet, sending the super criminal sprawling onto the floor

The Salarian propped himself onto one shoulder, removing his helmet to rub his jaw.

"Super Strength" Sakoln said in disbelief and realization

"Oh yeah" Spider-man said, cracking his knuckles "You're in for a world of hurt"

"For some reason I don't feel as threatened as you'd imagine" Sakoln countered

"Meh, it was worth a try" Spider-man said

"Indeed" Sakoln said, surprising Peter with a shot that impacted him square in the chest

"AURGH" Spider-man cried out, pain exploding through his body

"SPIDER-MAN" Garrus shouted. The cries of Shepard, Kaidan and Ashley went unheard as Peter's headset went flying off and over a balcony, falling to the floor and breaking on impact.

"Sadly, you let yourself wide open" Sakoln said coldly

"OW" Spider-man said, shooting up right, clutching his chest

Sakoln and Garrus froze for what felt like the hundredth today in a day already full of surprises.

"Man, that hurt" Spider-man declared "Holy moly I felt like my chest burst"

"That's not possible" Sakoln muttered "You were wearing nothing but a skin tight suit with absolutely no protection. How did you survive that?"

"I've had my fair share of killer blows" Peter said, slightly nursing his bruised body "But damn that still hurt like crazy"

"Are you even normal?" Sakoln asked stupidly

"You're seriously asking me that right now?" Spider-man jokingly "After seeing what I can do and wear?"

"I see I'm way in over my head right now" Sakoln said, standing up "So, I think I'll take my leave now"

Sakoln concentrated his firepower down onto the ground. When he released the compressed air, a dust cloud blew up, covering the entire area.

"Oh come on" Peter said, coughing after inhaling the air "That's such a cheap and overused move"

"But it is *COUGH* effective" Garrus begrudgingly admitted "Look"

The dust settled, revealing that Sakoln had gotten away.

"Dang it" Spider-man said "Can't believe he got away"

"You can't blame yourself Peter" Garrus said, placing a comforting hand on his friends shoulder "We've never faced anything like this before"

'OH Garrus' Peter though dejectedly 'If only you knew'

Ok I'm gonna leave it off here.

I originally intended for this to be a one chapter thing but then I saw I had a lot for at least two, maybe three parts if this drags on.

That's right, Shocker is here and it only makes sense that a Salarian would be the one to create the shock gauntlets.

I've been toying with the idea of having classic well known Spider-man villains appear in the Mass Effect universe.

There's gonna be a lot of awesomeness coming next chapter.

I also wanted to have several things happen once I finished the main chapter. There was supposed to be a few after scenes involving the Normandy crew but I'll save that for the next chapter.

Well, there's really nothing else left to say but to say enjoy
