Let's keep the ball rolling as this crossover continues on. I usually update this guy within two weeks to a month at a time but I had been neglecting Noble Justice for too long as w ell as the start of two other new crossovers with another one on the way. I'm still promoting my new crossovers being The Avengers The Clone Wars and the League of Avengers. You can find them on my profile so hey, try something familiarly new. I say that cause dah doi it's superheroes but one is a gigantic super combo and the other is a….gigantic super combo. Yeah that sounded better in my head but regardless go check them out if you're interested.
I've been thinking a lot lately on what story arc I should do after this small one and trust me when I say this, you're gonna be really surprised by the next one. If you're wondering how and what is going on, remember when I said Spider-man being in the Mass Effect universe at the same time as Shepard is causing unintentional and very unlikely after effects in this universe. Yeah, it revolves around that. I've been thinking about for some time after I watched a shitty as movie but there were certain premises where I thought 'hey, I bet I could do that way better'. So here's looking forward to the next one.
Anyway, this will be somewhat of a straightforward chapter and will have some setup but mostly action. Nothing to ground breaking for the moment cause I'm saving all of that for the next few chapters.

Along Came A Spider Chapter 21: This is how it goes down
To say that Spider-man, Garrus Vakarian And Wrex Urdnot were pissed was a bit of an understatement.
They had regrouped and met back up with Liara and Shepard, the latter of which was nursing a concussion. Currently, all five were in the Normandy briefing room,
Doctor Chakwas did as much as she could to placate the head trauma, knowing that Shepard will not take this lying down. Those were more than just teammates, those were his friends that got kidnapped. People who had fought alongside him and were more than willing to die for each other on more than several occasions.
Liara was just as determined as she saw Ashley get taken and could do nothing to stop Scorpion making it more personal for her.
The real worry was on Tali though.
Everyone was equally worried about Kaidan and Ashley but Tali was right now without her protective headgear. And who knows how bad here suit might be after Sakoln captured her. She was at great risk right now and the team couldn't just wait around.
"I'm gonna kill those bastards" Garrus said with venom "They're fucking with the wrong group of people right now"
"Easy Garrus" Peter said with an unnerving calm to his voice "Let's not rush in recklessly here"
Wrex couldn't help but let out a loud snort at that statement but chose to hold back his comment. There were more pressing matters to deal with right now.
"So Peter" Shepard said slowly from his seat "You've experienced something like this before. What do we do?"
Beside Shepard was Liara of course, hand on her lovers shoulder as he had an arm around her waist holding her close.
"We go in carefully" Spider-man said getting up as a display of the Citadel appeared before the Web-head
"These guys are always planning for all scenarios" Spider-man explained "So they'll make sure to have their corners covered. Keep our friends on deathwatch while making sure they beat the ever loving shit out of me"
"You really just love beating yourself up" Garrus remarked "Seriously how do you get your ass handed to you physically when you do it to yourself ten times as much"
"It's a gift" Peter said
"Well divert all that attention to the problem here, Pete" Shepard said
"Sure thing" Peter then scratched his head, looking over the dock area where Sakoln and Gaius awaited them
"From the way this dock is structured, there's a nice warehouse overlooking the whole thing" Spider-man said, pointing to said warehouse "The top looks like it has good cover and area to move around so Garrus, we'll place you there. Use some high caliber rounds. It won't kill them cause of their armor but it can damage them enough to keep them on their toes and distracted"
"Peter there's something we're forgetting here" Shepard said, walking up to the display of dock "Where exactly are they holding our friends?"
"Sakoln will be the one to bring them" Spider-man said, holding up his hand to prevent them from interrupting "I know you guys think he's gonna be throwing a fast one at us but trust me when I say this, Sakoln will uphold his end of the bargain. Gaius will argue against it but Sakoln will make it so. I've had somebody like that before, his name is Kraven the Hunter"
"That's a lot of stock in faith, Peter" Shepard said warily
"I know Shepard" Peter admitted "I get it but right now this is all we got"
"Not a lot to go on" Wrex murmured silencing the room
"Hey guys"
The team looked to the doorway and saw Joker hobble into war room.
"How's the 'planning' going?" Joker asked in a more serious tone
"Could be better" Garrus admitted
"How so?" Joker asked, taking a seat
"We don't know if Sakoln will uphold his end of the bargain in bringing Tali, Kaidan and Ashley to the dock where he wants to meet with Spider-man" Liara said
"Couldn't you guys like use the Normandy ID cards to track them down?" Joker remarked holding up his own card that Peter gave him
What he got was everyone staring owlishly at the Normandy pilot
"That thought didn't even cross your mind, did it?" Joker deadpanned
"Heh" Spider-man chuckled weakly "That actually did escape my mind"
"Aren't you the same person who made and handed these out to us personally?" Joker asked with a grin
"Shut up Joker" Shepard said, rubbing the bridge of his nose
"Whatever you say commander" Joker said, his grin now evolved into the stage of shit eating
"So what do we do now"
"Well, let's see where our friends are first" Peter said, slipping on his mask and activating the tracker in his card
He held up his card and with a wiggle a holographic display of the Citadel.
"Whoa!" Garrus said in amazement "Since when could our cards do that?"
"New feature I've been meaning to add after our intended meet up" Peter said
The citadel was then enlarged, specifically to the middle third pillar and three blips appeared on the radar. One of which was far off from the other two that were near each other.
"That's where Ashley was taken" Liara said immediately "Where we were when Gaius attacked"
"Then that means…" Peter trailed over to where the other two blips were "This is where Kaidan and Tali got kidnapped"
"They were both together?" Garrus said
"Must have ran into one another some time after Tali arrived" Peter said analyzing his card and the projection when his face fell
"Oh no" Spider-man said with dread
"What?" Garrus said in alarm "What is it?"
"This was their last known broadcast" Peter said "From over a day ago"
"You can do that with these doo hickies?" Wrex asked, holding up his own card
"There's a lot that I've been working on in my spare time" Spider-man answered returning back to the projection "This was there last known locations"
"Should we investigate then?" Garrus asked
"Liara and I will go back to where Ashley was kidnapped" Shepard said "Leaving you three to find out where Kaidan and Tali were taken"
"I'm pretty sure I have a good idea as to where that is" Joker spoke up, bringing out his Omni-tool. And on said Omni-Tool was a headline revealing Shockers dastardly attack at the docking port of the Citadel.
"Right then" Spider-man jumped up "Let's go"
"We'll meet back here if we find anything" Shepard said "let's not g o rushing around the Citadel trying to find our friends. I don't think Sakoln is playing it like that right now"
And with that, the group split up and went towards their destinations, Liara and Shepard to the park where they encountered Gaius, Peter, Garrus and Wrex to where Tali and Kaidan had been taken.
When Peter's group arrived, they found a C-sec blockade in an area that was clearly damaged by one Sakoln Shocker.
Garrus used his C-sec badge and got them through, beginning their investigation.
"They put up a hell of a fight" Wrex remarked, noting the very beaten up area
"Wouldn't have expected anything less" Garrus said, crouching down, running his hand on the edges of a crater nearby
Spider-man went about the area, investigating every nook and cranny in order to find anything that can be of assistance to the matter at hand.
It was then that he found a piece of cloth that made him pause.
Peter delicately picked it up and saw it was a piece of Tali's enviro suit, specifically from the hood.
Peter didn't know where the odd movement came from, but what he did know was that a great deal of rage was starting to build up to a near volatile display as his fist clenched the cloth very tightly, one easily able to see Pete's muscles and veins.
He returned to the other two and before they could get a word in, Spider-man simply held up the torn cloth.
Garrus wordlessly and carefully took the cloth into his hands.
"Let's head back" Spider-man said emotionless
The trio silently obliged and left the area, heading back to the Normandy
They returned to find Liara and Shepard awaiting them.
"Look at what we found" Shepard said grimly, holding up Ashley's damaged Normandy ID card
Peter groaned "That's gonna be a pain to rebuild"
"Was there anything you guys find where you went?" Liara asked
Garrus held up the torn up cloth that was a part of Tali's hood
Liara gasped, tenderly taking the cloth, Shepards expression scrunching up in barley contained rage.
"We'll get them tomorrow" Shepard said "We're gonna take those bastards down"
With Sakoln
"HEY" Ashley shouted in rage "HEY YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES, GET TALI SOMETHING NOW OR I SWEAR TO GOD I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU"
"Is she ever gonna shut up?" Gaius deadpanned, running a hand over his face "She's been at this for hours"
Sakoln didn't answer his fellow villain, instead opting to reply to the fierce red head.
"I have already given her a strong dosage" Sakoln said without any concern for the raging red head "I may be bad, but I'm not a monster"
"You could have just taken me instead you bastard" Kaidan growled "You didn't have to go that far with Tali. For a guy who doesn't call himself a monster what you did to Tali was pretty fucking shitty. Close to it"
"And I am so hurt by your aggressive words and intentions" Sakoln said uncaringly
"How much longer are we gonna let them stay awake?" Gaius asked irritably "I liked them better when they were knocked out"
"Yes, and I liked you better when you weren't this hulking pile of machinery that clogs up my work space but we all have to make sacrifices now don't we" Sakoln shot back
Gaius simply scowled, wincing at some of the contraptions on his back. The pain was gone just as quick as it came but that did little to deter the growing concern the Turian had.
"That's the third time within the hour" Sakoln spoke up
"Hmmm?"
"You're face keeps contorting itself every few minutes" Sakoln said, facing the criminal "Is it the suit?"
"What are you talking about?" Gaius asked back narrowed eye
Sakoln gave the Turian a half lidded eye stare
"Don't think you're fooling me with your bravado" Sakoln said, now very stern "The suit is causing you problems, isn't it? I could tell the moment I laid my eyes on your 'improvements' there was something clearly wrong, or incomplete you could say"
"What are you talking about?" Gaius said, rising to his full height "There's nothing wrong with me"
"I am not going to let you be a bull shitter and just shrug it off' Sakoln said "In case you forgot, we are in this mission together, if something goes wrong here, my ass will be on the line as well"
"And what you think we won't survive this?" Gaius said with a challenging pose
"I hope you haven't forgotten the fact that we have gotten under the ire of not just Spider-man but the entire crew of the Normandy. The same crew that has garnered a near legendary reputation in the span of a year. I may have taken them lightly during our first few encounters but not so much now"
Sakoln held up one of his gauntlets and on it was a bullet hole.
Gaius then looked at Sakolns bandaged arm.
"That" Sakoln said "Was what I received from him when I was capturing them"
Gaius looked over to Kaidan who was staring at his wounded teammate and friend.
Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya was breathing haggardly, dried blood on the side of her face. There were tears and cuts all across her body. she was bleary eyed as Tali did everything in her power to hold back tears. Not just in pain but the emotional trauma. Never before had she endured something that terrifying.
But right now, she was biting her lip and whimpering with as much strength is she could muster up. A million thoughts were going through her head right now but the main one that rang through her head was one simple phrase.
Don't show weakness
"Tali" Ashley whispered beside her in great concern "Tali are you alright?"
"Fine Ashley" Tali said weakly, giving her a strained smile "I'll hang in there"
"Hey" Kaidan called out to Sakoln "You said it yourself, you're a piece of shit but you're not a scumbag. Give her some more immune strengthener stuff now!"
"You have nothing to demand right now" Sakoln said icily
"How's your arm asshole" Kaidan shot back with venom
All Kaidan got in response was a stabbing pain that made him roar in agony.
"AURGH" Kaidan wreathed in pain.
Scorpions tail was embedded into his left thigh, twisting itself to exert more pain upon the lieutenant.
"STOP IT" Tali cried out, tears now streaming down her face "LEAVE HIM ALONE"
"Silence" Shocker barked out "Gaius, ENOUGH"
Gaius simply scowled, quickly pulling his stinger out making Kaidan gasp, gulping in air to fight the pain.
"I do have to admit" Sakoln said, arms crossed with slight admiration "You're resiliency is to be commended and admired. I have dealt with many and very few hold the threshold that you all possess. Honestly makes me wonder what Spider-man could take"
"Is that what this is about" Ashley said in pure contempt "Just some cheap way of getting back at spider-man"
"You act so shocked, yet you should have seen this coming my dear" Sakoln said smoothly "Spider-man has been a hassle for far too long now, far longer than I would have expected. Thus, this should only come as natural. Once Spider-man is out of the way, I could do whatever it is that I want"
"And what would that be?" Ashley spat out
"Freedom from that spider piece of shit for a start" Gaius said bitterly
"Yes, as 'fun' as our little encounters have been, they have been growing rather redundant" Sakoln said uncaringly "Maybe it is time for a switch up and just end the fun before it gets stale"
"You actually think the two of you can take on not only Spider-man but Shepard and the rest of the team" Kaidan let out a weak chuckle "You guys are insanely delusional. We know what Spider-man is capable of and he can take the two of you down in no time flat if he really wanted to. That guy is ten times stronger than any metal or armor you clowns wear. As proven last week"
Gaius only glared, holding up the pincer armor that got damaged by spider-man up to Kaidans throat, which was now repaired.
"Do it" Kaidan challenged, a mad glint in his eyes while also alarming Ash and Tali
"You're both incredibly brave and incredibly stupid" Sakoln remarked, now casually examining his injured hand "Gaius, enough. He's only goading you"
"It's working" Gaius gritted out, lowering his arm from Kaidans throat
"Rest assured, we are more than ready for Spider-man" Sakoln said addressing all three of his captive "Come tomorrow, he will be no more"
"If only he had a credit for every time someone has said that about him" Tali quipped, coughing somewhat
Ash and Kaidan couldn't help but throw a grin at Tali who glowed in the silent praise she was getting.
"We shall see about that" Gaius said, holding back his discomfort as once again there was an odd movement in his suit
That night
Peter was alone at the grand park of the Citadel, posture slouched and depressed. He had earlier been at the selected dock for nearly half a day after the investigations and eventually Peter just knew that they would come to the designated time and location.
Much as Sakoln was a gigantic ass, he expected the Salarian to uphold his end of the bargain.
Peter sighed, already using his doctorate in self-loathing to admonish himself in letting this happen.
"I could see you're beating yourself up" A friendly voice said "As per usual as Garrus would say"
Peter glanced behind him to see Liara approaching him.
"Hey Li" Peter said tiredly "I see you're still up and about"
"I couldn't sleep myself" Liara admitted, blushing "Neither could Shepard for that matter"
Peter couldn't help but snicker, nudging Liara with his shoulder as she sat down beside her.
Liara only chuckled at the action, nudging back.
"What are you really doing here Liara?" Peter asked
"Honestly? To check up on you" Liara said softly "The rest of the team is worried sick about what's going on but Shepard felt it between all of us. What could be going through Peter's head"
"It's not as bad as you think Liara" Peter defended "I mean you know the universe I come from is crazy and hectic"
"But I don't truly know do I" Liara said, effectively making Peter stop and think
"You come from a universe so fantastical, so incredibly different from our universe it's almost hard to grasp" Liara said, placing a hand on his shoulder "I've never had to go through something like this so it's a new and terrifying experience to know that my friends are in the hands of a group of not just maniacs, but very smart, super powered maniacs. This is something different than anything we've faced before. We're gonna look to you to lead us through this"
"ME?! But I suck at leading! I'm no Shepard or Captain America" Peter exclaimed in surprise "I'm me"
"Exactly" Liara said warmly "Peter, in the short time that I've known you and the team, this is the first time I felt that I belonged in a family. I know that there a group of individuals in this large galaxy that I can always call upon for aid and that they would drop what they're doing and rush over to help with no questions asked"
"To an extent"
Liara only giggled at that
"The point being is that we will save them Peter" Liara said "Cause we have each other, and you have done this more times than any of us could count"
Peter stared at the Asari before he up and hugged her which she returned.
"You know, for a hundred and six year old, you sure are smart" Peter joked making Liara laugh, pulling back with a blush
"Come on, let's head back to the Normandy" Liara said, getting up "The others are waiting for us. Tomorrow we will save our friends"
"Right" Peter said, now smiling in confidence
The next day
Peter was in a crouching position on the edge of a building, overlooking Dock 24-AD65.
He was in his full suit minus the mask which he held in his hand.
"You sure about going without your armor?" Garrus asked from behind, prepping his sniper rifle
"Never needed it for single bad guys" Spider-man said "And I already have dealt with multiple enemies once before"
"That Sinister Six you told me about?" Garrus said "The one made by that Octopus guy"
"Yup" Spider-man said, slipping on his mask "So taking on these guys should be synch"
"Like all the times before that?"
"Yeah, see a synch" Peter waved off getting a deadpan out of his friend
"Just try not to get yourself killed" Garrus remarked
"Hey, remember who you're talking to. It's me" Spider-man jumped off the edge with grace and swung over to the dock, landing on several crates which just seems to be in abundance in this area…or most docks in general.
Then again this was a supply docking area where fresh goods were brought in from all of the Citadel planets, so there's that.
Peter narrowed his eyes at the warehouse stationed at this dock. His spider-sense wasn't going off, but it did tingle in the sense that he had to be alert around this area.
'I really need to look into that' Peter thought to himself.
All other thoughts were ended when the warehouse doors slid open revealing Sakoln in his updated Shocker armor(use your imagination on how he looks now).
"I see you're a man of punctuality, Spider-man" Sakoln complimented "Good to know that"
"Well my aunt and uncle did raise to be more polite to my adversaries" Spider-man quipped, jumping forward to land a few ways away from Sakoln "Then again, when it comes to actually having a civil get together, I'm not that sorry to say they failed in that department"
"No, I'm not at all surprised" Sakoln said, with a wave of his hand "Whoever proclaimed that opposites attract did not take into consideration of personality"
"Yeah, science is a doozy sometimes isn't it?" Peter said, arms crossed "So…"
"So" Sakoln repeated
"Where are my friends" Spider-man asked calmly
"They are fine if you are wondering" Sakoln said "Harmed, but fine"
"That does very little in lowering my rage mode that I am currently holding back with all of my might" Spider-man said, his calm tone gaining a harsher edge "Just let them go Sakoln, this has nothing to do with them"
"On the contrary" Shocker said coldly "They have interfered enough times in order for myself and Gaius to deem them a threat"
"They only encountered you ONCE" Spider-man shouted "The same goes for Scorpion, as he likes to call himself that now"
"Just surrender yourself to us" Sakoln said simply "And your friends go free"
"I ironically trust you" Spider-man said "But Gaius is another matter entirely"
"Yes, I do admit he has become unstable" Sakoln said
"What he wasn't already?" Spider-man said incredulously
"No, he had some sense on him before but that suit of his" Sakoln said in complete seriousness "I've been doing some scans and that suit is incomplete or corrupted"
"Normally I'd care but my patience is waning" Spider-man said with more bite than usual "Just let my friends go now"
Sakoln was somewhat surprised at the level of anger Spider-man had just portrayed here. He may have only encountered the hero a handful of times but even Sakoln had pretty good idea on just the type of man Spider-man was. Still this probably could be explained. Being that he had just kidnapped his friends one of which was a Quarian with her enviro suit damaged.
Then everything went to shit.
Gunfire erupted behind him in the warehouse and Spider-man jumped over Sakoln, dashing to the building.
Shocker didn't hesitate firing a barrage of shockwaves that Spider-man nimbly dodged and avoided until Sakoln pulled out a new move.
Gathering up enough air pressure in the span of three seconds, Sakoln clapped his hands together and fired a large shockwave that Spider-man could not dodge as the attack covered a wide area.
Instead, Peter caught thrown into the warehouse landing on the ground in a hard skid.
Instinctively, Spider-man kicked up back onto his feet just in time to avoid the large pincer arm that slammed down onto the spot where he landed.
"SPIDER-MAN" Scorpion roared, his tail swinging wildly at the hero
"What happened to being discreet?!" Spider-man shouted, jumping back
"We tried that" Shepard shouted, biotics powering up "But apparently they came prepared"
"How?"
"Sensors you idiot" Gaius exclaimed, his stinger trying to skewer the web head "It's actually kinda surprising on how simple of a concept that is"
"Doesn't mean jack shit you overgrown, mech toy" Wrex roared, charging at Scorpion and successfully head butting the villain into the wall.
It did little to slow Gaius down as he was back on his feet in a moment and pointed his stinger at Wrex.
The stinger reared back and sprayed a large glob of green at the Krogan who was then promptly tackled out of the way by Shepard and Spider-man.
"That's acid" Peter said to Wrex, helping him back up "Forgot to mention that"
"Ya think" Wrex grumbled
"Where's Liara?" Peter asked
"Looking for the others"
"I hope you haven't forgotten about me" Said none other than Shocker who entered the warehouse, gauntlets charged up with vibrations
"Garrus, got a clear shot?" Shepard privately asked through the comms
"Yeah, got Gaius right in my line of sight" Garrus responded
"Take the shot" Shepard said
Garrus didn't need to be told twice, lining up his scope with the armored back of Scorpion, Garrus exhaled….and then fired.
The bullet sailed through the air, cracked through the window and somehow, hit the casually swinging tail of Scorpion.
"AURGH"
Scorpions tail recoiled sharply, getting a large dent in the metal.
Shocker looked around in alarm, his eye pieces taking on a red tint. In Sakoln's point of view, the tinted scopes managed to locate Garrus on the rooftop reloading for another shot.
Scowling, Shocker aimed his arm at Garrus, the HUD triangulating the distance and trajectory before he fired.
Garrus's eyes widened in shock when he dived out of the way in time to dodge the precise shockwave.
"Well that's surprising" Garrus said, backing away to be out of sight
Back to skirmish, Shepard and Wrex began firing at Scorpion who activated a built in shield in his left pincer which severely pissed off the duo.
Spider-man fought Shocker one on one.
Meanwhile, Liara T'soni was currently in the basement of the warehouse finding it to be surprisingly large and spacious.
"What don't they bring in through here?" Liara asked herself as she continued forth in this near maze of a basement "I must give praise to the men and women who work here, this place is truly a labyrinth"
That was when she stumbled upon a large open squared area.
And in the dead center was none other than the beaten form of her friends.
She gasped at the sight of her friends and immediately ran over to them, pulling out the on hand medical supplies she had.
"Ashley" Liara murmured, bandaging up the clear visible injuries
"Liara?" Ashley was barely conscious "That you?"
"Easy Ash" Liara said, giving her comrade a friendly smile "I'm here with the others"
"No" Ashley whispered in dread
"No?"
Ashley managed to lean her head forward "It's a trap"
Back on the ground level, Spider-man, Wrex, Shepard and Garrus were beginning to push the duo of Shocker and Scorpion back, injuring Scorpion and damaging his shield.
Shock also had several parts of his armor dented but it was still fully functional.
Gaius was having it worst of all as the pain his body was experiencing was agonizing to say the least. The suit had a built in stimulant that usually keeps any pain at bay or rids him of it, but right now due to all the movement, the strain, the fighting and the hits, Scorpion could clearly tell and feel something was really wrong. His mind didn't feel all that right either.
His glare was leveled on Spider-man as he stood between the Krogan and the human.
"It's over Gaius" Spider-man said "You and Sakoln should just give up while we're giving you the chance"
Sakoln then did something that threw them all for a loop. And it was a loop that gave Peter a horrible gut feeling. One his Spider-sense warned him about and one he saw through the window.
Not even thinking twice, Spider-man shoved Shepard and Wrex out of the way and took the full brunt of the electric storm that crashed into him, sending him flying across the warehouse into the warehouse wall, greatly denting it.
Spider-man went limp, barely registering the cries of his name.
Bleary eyed, Peter rose his head and his eyes landed on the form of Scorpion, Shocker…
And Electro.
"Oh god" Spider-mans entire body was stinging with pain "Please don't tell me there's three more of you. Otherwise this would be pretty redundant"
"He has told us a lot about you Spider-man" Shocker said casually "Now it's all starting to make sense. Beings from other universes, powers that cannot be explained through the science of this reality. To think, how abysmally insignificant we all really are. Yet I surmise that only someone like yourself could manage to gain a rogues gallery of enemies in two separate universes"
"I'm amazed you told them everything Max" Spider-man grunted, managing to stay standing "Then again you are the talkative type, barely being able to hold secrets"
It was then that Spider-man noticed that Electro was wearing a black body suit save for sleeves.
"Nice new duds you got there Electro" Spider-man said "Never knew you had a S&M fetish, but hey who am I too judge"
"Laugh it up while you still can" Electro growled, eyes crackling with power "After our little rumble they sent me to a prison here on this Citadel. Bastards couldn't figure anything out on how to deal with me, so they contained me into a fucking battery"
Spider-man's eyes actually widened in disbelief.
"Yeesh" Peter said with slight shame "I didn't know Max"
"At least back home, they had something made for me" Electro said somberly "But here"
Electricity crackled around him, Scorpion and Shocker having to actually get some space
"THEY EXPERIMENTED ON ME, DID ALL SORTS OF SHIT I HAVEN'T GONE THORUGH IN A LONG TIME" Electro roared in anger "AFTER I KILL YOU I'LL TAKE DOWN THE WHOLE FUCKING CITADEL"
Shepard and Wrex had at that point gotten back up and were now staring in slight shock at the three villains that were now having their attention completely focused onto Spider-man.
"Oh man, remember when that Madame Web lady mentioned that Peter being here is affecting our universe" Shepard said to Wrex "Looks like it's starting now"
"Not the time for that Shepard" Wrex growled "We're really pushing our boundaries here"
"Got that right" Shepard admitted more to himself than he did to Wrex
This was just wild.
Shepard was actually really nervous here. Taking on one of these guys was one thing, like with Scorpion. Taking on two was pushing the envelope.
But now there were three, one of which was completely immune to their weapons AND their biotics. Basically, they were completely useless here. what could they possibly do? A distraction worked last time simply because it was 8 on 1. But now? Now it was a super genius, a deranged Turian and a being that defied the laws of physics. All of which were hell bent on taking out one man.
"I really, REALLY feel bad for Peter right now" Shepard said somberly "Like, he's a great guy but my god does he get some shit thrown at him"
"I here ya" Wrex said, cocking his shot gun
"Hey uh guys" Garrus chimed in from the comms "What the hell are we gonna do now?"
"Get the others" Spider-man abruptly spoke up, his voice barley above a whisper in the comms
The trio faced the confrontation going down between Spider-man and his three villains
"You guys go now, I'll handle this"
"Are you out of your mind, Pete?!" Garrus exclaimed "You can't!"
"I can and I will" Spider-man said in complete seriousness, joking then "Besides, this is only half the amount of baddies that I've faced before. This is no Sinister Six"
There were no more rooms for conversation as the trio unleashed their respective projectile attacks on Peter, forcing Spider-man to jump up to avoid the cluster fuck of an explosive triple attack.
"GO NOW" Spider-man shouted and Wrex and Shepard begrudgingly obliged
"Oh no you don't" Scorpion turned to run at the two when Spider-man snagged his feet and made him fall flat on his face
"Eye's on the prize Gaius" Spider-man remarked, landing on the back of Scorpion.
Gaius growled like a savage animal and whirled round on the ground, making Peter jump off of him to get out of his tail and pincers way.
Spider-mans Spider-sense was on full blast as shockwaves and electric blasts were sent at him in hopes of incapacitating him.
"You can't keep this up forever, you little bug" Electro shouted, unleashing a torrent of electricity
"Ok now I know you call me a bug intentionally" Spider-man quipped, sticking to the ceiling "We've been at this for years now and you still call me a bug. One would think you would learn from Doc Ock who calls me arachnid"
"Oh my god will you just SHUT UP" Electro roared
Peter narrowed his eyes at Elector's out burst. Something was clearly wrong here. Electro was acting up very wildly and not in the usual sense. He was acting up in the sense when he had a piece of the tablet of order and chaos. Which shouldn't be possible.
"Max, do you have another stone on you?" Spider-man asked warily
"What?" Max titled his head in confusion "The one you took from me? The one that could have made me a god?"
"Well now I know you don't have it" Spider-man said, rolling his eyes
It was then that Peter noticed an odd shift in Sakolns demeanor
"Tell me Sakoln" Spider-man jumped down at him, restarting the fight "Have you come across anything of noteworthy? One scientist to another"
"Not that I can think of" Sakoln said in return, firing dual shockwaves
Peter merely fired a web line to swing around a metal support beam, launching himself at Shocker.
SPIDER SENSE
Spider-man pivoted his body in time to roll right over Scorpion who jumped in the path of Shocker in hopes of impaling Spider-man.
After rolling off the large Turian, Spider-man fired a web onto Gaius's back and landed hard, pulling at the large villain with all his strength and launched the large bastard right at Shocker who's eyes widened in surprise, instinctively sending out a shockwave burst around his body to stop Gaius entirely
"OW, Bastard, what in the spirits name was that?" Scorpion yelled out at Sakoln
"Oh I'm sorry was I supposed to let you smash your entire large metal body into me?" Shocker snipped back
"Focus you two morons" Electro shouted, flying at Peter who was back flipping away, shooting several web bullets at the electric powered man
Most disintegrated as soon as they entered the aura around Electro, however one made it through, temporarily blinding Max. of course it too burned away in an instant but a second was all Peter needed in order to deliver a swinging double kick which launched Electro up to the ceiling.
Shocker and Scorpion then stepped up and ran at Spider-man.
They both abruptly halted when their path was shot at by none other than Garrus giving peter the perfect distraction to give both villains a split kick.
Scorpion recovered quickly and lunged at spider-man, actually managing to bring him down.
"DIE" Scorpion shouted, ready to stab Peter with his tail.
"You forgot about my hands" Peter teased, blinding Scorpion with his webbing.
The webbing was then followed by an armor piercing round courtesy of Garrus.
Gaius stumbled away from Peter, yelling in pain with an arm over his wounded shoulder.
Spider-man didn't even have a moment to rest as Shocker and Electro returned on the attack.
Back with Shepard and Wrex, the duo used their newest additions to their Normandy ID cards to track Liara down.
"Gotta remember to thank Peter for this" Shepard said "We should be with Liara and the others in about…"
"Liara" Wrex said aloud
Liara turned and saw her lover and Krogan friend run up to them
"Shepard, Wrex" Liara said warmly
"Hey Skipper" Ashley remarked, groaning somewhat on the crate she leaned up against
"Nice of you to join us down here" Kaidan said weakly
"Mmm" Was all Tali managed out
"My god, Kaidan" Shepard kneeled down to the two of them "Tali, how are you two holding up"
"We need to get them out of here" Ashley said, now being supported by Wrex "They got the most damage. Tali without her suit and that fucking gutless piece of shit Gaius stabbed Kaidan in the leg. Oh and I'm fine by the way"
"Shepard" Tali said weakly "It's a trap"
"We know, bastards got Electro up there fighting Spidey by himself" Shepard said grimly
"What the hell can we do then?" Ashley asked "Last time we fought that electric lunatic, nothing we did could hurt him"
"That was when he had that piece of the tablet that brought Peter here" Liara pointed out "He may be weaker now"
"That still doesn't deter his threat level" Shepard said sternly "And there's also Scorpion and Shocker"
"Peter could handle those two Pyjaks easy" Wrex said confidently
"But there is still three of them" Liara said
"But" Tali cut in, coughing slightly "He has done this before. He has faced people like these before"
"Then what do we do?" Ashley asked
The group was momentarily silent
"What if…" Tali spoke up "What if we were to drain electro somehow. Like before at the lake where the water drained him of his power"
"Easier said than done" Ashley said
"But Peter has done it before" Tali continued her argument "After telling us who and where he comes from, Peter and I used to discuss in length about all the villains he has come up against and how he beat most of them"
"And?" Shepard said, basically saying 'Go on'
"If there's some cables, an outlet of some kind anything really that we can attach to Electro and flip on a power source or make shift generator, we can funnel Electro's power into that and effectively render him useless" Tali said, gaining excitement as she went on
She then became somewhat self-conscious after the stares she had now gotten from the entire team.
"What? ' She asked meekly
"You're like a mad genius now" Ashley praised with a grin "Damn Tali, when'd you upgrade to genius?"
"Heh" Tali blushed at the praise before violently coughing
"Oh fuck, I completely forgot" Shepard berated himself, reaching behind him to pull out an injection syringe "Tali, this is an immune strength enhancer"
"Thank you Shepard" Was all Tali said as she took the syringe and injected herself with no hesitation
Wincing slightly, Tali was helped to her feet by Liara whilst Shepard moved to help up Kaidan.
"Let's contact Peter"
Peter in the meantime was starting to get a little agitated as well as battered.
"My god, you guys must really want me dead"
"I want you to suffer" Scorpion roared, Tail imbedding itself into the wall with Peter under it.
"Ok Psychosocial" Peter quipped "Whatever you say"
He flipped round and hooked his legs around Gaius's tail. Spider-man flipped round, tugging Scorpion towards him and delivered a wicked heel kick to the face of Gaius. Scorpion sailed back and landed hard, unmoving.
"One down" Peter murmured to himself
"Peter" Spider-man heard through his ear
"Shepard?"
"Peter, good to hear that you're still standing. Garrus you there to?"
"Still here Commander" Garrus responded
"What's up Shepard?" Peter asked, jumping up to engage Electro
"Alright Peter, we got Kaidan, Tali and Ashely with us safe and sound"
Peter let out a breath of relief which then inhaled sharply to dodge Shocker's shockwaves.
"That's great to hear" Garrus said for himself and Peter
"And we've got a plan" Liara said
"Peter"
"Tali!" Peter said, punching Sakoln in the face "Are you and the others alright?"
"More or less" Tali strained out "Listen Peter, I have a plan to help you. It's the old drainer story you told me about"
"Nice" Peter said enthusiastically "So where do we get the equipment"
And so, Tali quickly instructed Garrus to find a control room or locker room in the warehouse or area in the dock to find the necessary tools to construct a makeshift generator in order to attach to Electro and take away all of his energy.
Spider-man also added that Max was now a being of pure electricity so they would have to make the device strong enough to essentially trap him in there as well.
"What about Sakoln?" Liara asked
"Leave him to us" Garrus said darkly
"You guys know what to do" Spider-man said, returning his attention to the fight at hand
"DON'T THINK I'M OUT OF THE FIGHT JUST YET"
"Oh for the love of- Just stay down Gaius, seriously" Spider-man whirled around to face him
And stopped in stunned surprise.
Gaius was bleeding profusely from his back and arms, face showing clear signs of pain and worse, derangement.
"Gaius" Spider-man said warily
"It's as I feared" Sakoln spoke up making all combatants look to him "Whoever gave him that suit did so hastily and without all the test runs necessary for such a procedure. Rather making sure all of the right elements were in place, whoever did this simply slapped it onto Gaius with barely enough time for adjustment and perhaps did so intentionally"
Peter actually narrowed his eyes in anger at that. He had seen this all too often and it actually infuriated him at times. Like with Rhino and Sandman, even though they eventually assimilated themselves into their new bodies, they were tormented in the beginning and suffered greatly until they finally got through it. They still hate him though, so that didn't change.
"Whoa, what the hell' Electro Said, spotting the deteriorating scorpion
"This is all your fault Spider-man" Gaius said, fighting through pain even though he just coughed up some blood "If you had never come here, I would n ever had to resort to this"
"MY FAULT" Spider-man shouted "How is what you did to yourself my fault?! You know I didn't come to this universe on purpose! I was never meant to be here"
"But you still decide to act like an annoying hero" Electro growled, his arms charging up
"Hey, I do it cause I have to" Spider-man shot back "You know my way of doing things"
"Yes, Severely annoying" Electro growled, flying at Spider-man
Spider-man didn't even hesitate in jumping and swinging right back at him.
The two collided and began exchanging punches, Spider-man getting hurt more as he felt his own suit shift about more erratically as the fight dragged on.
'What the hell is with this pain?' Peter thought 'Is it the suit? What is going on?'
Peter's musings allowed both Shocker and Electro to deliver a dual shocking electrical attack that sent Spider-man back and through the wall of the warehouse, skidding out and stopping with an emphatic thud against a control panel to a crane.
Blearily, Peter rose his head up to see Electro and Shocker exit the warehouse and approach him.
Electro didn't wait to get close, creating a lightning bolt and chucking it at Spidey.
Peter's Spider-sense screamed at him to move and he obliged.
"Hey guys, how's the plan coming along?"
"Working on it" Garrus said "We're almost ready. What's going on, on your end?"
"Scorpion is down, more or less" Peter said "Shocker and Electro on the other hand seems to be done warming up"
"Hand on Peter" Liara said this time "We just need a few more adjustments"
"On it" Peter grunted, getting to his feet
"How much longer are you willing to keep this up, Spider-man?' Shocker said, clearly agitated
"Man, I'm really out practice here" Spider-man said aloud "Back home, taking on multiple baddies was a weekly thing"
"Yeah but we're not home are we?" Electro said bitterly
""SPIDER-MAN"
All three fighters looked up to see Shepard standing atop another Crane control booth toss a large cable at Peter.
He instantly knew what to do. After all, he had done this several times before.
Peter dashed at Electro, who panicked at the very familiar scenario began chucking bolts of electricity at the web head, being assisted by Shocker.
Spider-man nimbly dodged all oncoming attacks, dead set on getting to Electro.
Electro lifted up into the air, in hopes of getting away.
Peter fired a web line at him, quickly firing a web net at Sakoln to immobilize him.
Electro whirled round, grabbed onto the line and pumped his electricity into the web, shocking Peter.
He stumbled but didn't stop and with a yell, tugged Electro towards him.
Electro sailed into Spider-man's arms, Spidey wrapping the cable around Electro's waste.
"NOW TALI" Shepard shouted
In the crane booth, Tali flipped a power switch and the makeshift containment box that she had made switched on.
The wire glowed blue and Electro literally felt himself get sucked into the wire and soon enough.
"It worked" Peter said with relief
He glanced over to the crane booth
"Great job you guys" Spider-man shouted towards them "Tali, you're a damn life saver"
"Thanks to you"
"Where's Sakoln?" Asked the returned Wrex
"Huh?" Spider-man turned round to see the remained tatters of the web net he had used to immobilize Shocker moments ago.
"Man that guy really knows how to get away" Spider-man remarked "Better than most of the guys I've faced"
"Hey Pete"
Peter looked up behind him to see a battered but standing Ashley looking down at him, hand held up for him to take.
Graciously, Peter grabbed her hand and was hoisted up into a hug.
"Nice job Web-head" Ashley said softly
"Good to see your fine, Ash" Peter said softly
"Good to see you're still standing" Ashley said pulling back, patting his shoulder
"Hey uh guys"
Garrus had now arrived, who seemed to have jogged out of the warehouse
"Scorpion is gone" Garrus said with a deadpan "All I found was a pool of blood and a trail that vanished"
"What is this the get away from the scene Olympics?" Spider-man whined "Ugh, whatever, at least we got Electro"
"How is that a good thing?" Ashley asked "I mean yeah we got him but one out of three isn't always the best"
"But we caught the one that poses the most threat to us and the Citadel"
Now Shepard had rejoined the group supporting Kaidan, Liara supporting Tali.
"Indeed" Liara said in concurrence "Out of all the men we had faced today, we re-captured the one that posed the greatest danger to us all. We can handle Sakoln and Gaius even with great difficulty but Spider-man is the only one that can go against Electro single handedly. We can't"
"It's weird to think that we can hold him in such a confined space" Tali so casually stated, hefting up the large container box that now held Electro "But then again after you came here Peter, the weird is becoming the norm"
"Yeah, you should experience home" Spider-man quipped "Seeing is one thing, but living it. Kinda throws away a lot of the surprises…don't know if that's good or bad"
"We'll keep it within context then" Shepard said
"Agreed" Everyone said in unison
Two days later
The citadel went on with everyday galactic life.
There were multiple news reports on the rumble that occurred at one of the many docks of the large centerpiece of the galaxy.
But that right now did not matter to a certain Web head.
Right now, he had an obligation, and a promise to fulfil. And he brought(Dragged really) some of his friends with him.
Kiella smile happily as her daughter ran about with her young friends during her birthday party.
She really had to thank her human friend Angela for showing her the human side of throwing a kids birthday party.
There weren't many adults around but that didn't matter. So long as the kids were having fun, that's all that mattered.
Her thoughts were interrupted by none other than Angela who tapped her on the shoulder and said there was somebody knocking at the door.
Kiella went and opened the door to gasp in delight.
"Hey Kiella, sorry I'm a little late. Hope you don't mind I brought some friends with me as well"
"Oh that's no problem Spider-man" Kiella said graciously, ushering the entire Normandy crew into the house
Kiella told Spidey to wait a moment as she went to get her daughter, leaving the entire crew to be openly gawked at by all the other people in the room.
Kiella came back with a blind folded Leose who removed it the moment she stood before Spider-man.
Leose gasped in amazement, eyes on her hero garbed in his classic Red and blue costume.
She looked to her mom in disbelief then back at Spider-man who kneeled down to her level, present in hand.
"Hey Leose, me and my friends wanted to drop by and say happy birthday"
Leose could only stutter before running up to her personal hero and give him the greatest hug she could muster making the ladies of the team coo in 'ah' and the guys grin.
The rest of the team was then introduced to Leose and she then dragged all of them into the back where the rest of her friends were.
It was a rather odd scenario for the entire Normandy team, Spidey included as they were being treated like celebrities.
Ashley, Liara and Tali were given small bouquets of flowers by all the young lads and some of the girls.
Shepard, Wrex and Kaidan entertained some of the kids with exaggerated war stories.
Garrus was casually conversing with Kiella
Spider-man, spent the entire time with Leose who had actually ran to her room and came back with her own version of her homemade Spider-man costume.
Peter nearly lost it and tried to hold back in hugging the little Asari like a little teddy bear because never in all of his life had he met such a fan of his
'Took me to go to a different universe to meet my number one fan; Peter wryly thought to himself.
The little birthday went on until at long last it was time for the crew to leave.
Whilst Leose was upset, it did nothing to deter her jubilant mood at spending the whole day with Spider-man.
Spider-man stood at the door, Kiella and Leose there to say their goodbyes.
The rest of the team save for Garrus had already departed, and he was just a few feet away from them.
After saying his goodbyes, Peter did one last thing.
"Hey Garrus, Leose wants to give you something" Spider-man said, calling him over
Confused, Garrus walked over to Pete and looked down at Leose.
"Yes Leo?"
Leose smile happily and held up a small flower at the Turian whose eyes widened
"This is for you Garrus" Leose said joyfully "Spider-man said your his best friend and a great hero"
"I…i-I Oh" Garrus stuttered and stammered before finally taking the flower, patting Leose on the head "Ah thank you Leose.
Leose only giggled, giving an emphatic, jumping goodbye as Peter and Garrus walked away.
Spider-man of course teased Garrus relentlessly for his reaction with the Turian only scoffing, defending his flower as if it were his sniper rifle.
A few hours later, Leose was still awake one her bed, leaning against her window as she overlooked the Citadel, still giddy about today.
Her thoughts about today were interrupted by a familiar THWIP she had heard above her.
Looking up she saw none other than Spider-man hanging right in front of her window.
"Hey Leose" Spider-man greeted cheerfully "I've got one last gift for you"
The rest of the night was spent giving Leose the greatest tour of the Citadel ever.
Whew, that took a while longer than usual but still I had a blast writing this chapter.
Yeah the ending was a bit cheesy but hey it's one I've been wanting to do that for a while now so there.
And there is an obvious call back in here as well, several actually, find them all in the reviews.
Anyway, this mini arc is done. Now we're gonna get on to some wild shit in the next arc and trust me it's gonna be fucking crazy like literally guys, throw away all of your disbelief cause I am going there and there's not a damn thing you guys can do about it.
