23. Chapter 23

This is just the reaction I was wanting. Total confusion. I love how many warnings I got not in the sense of hey, don't do this. More like, hey tread carefully, this is a bit of a risk. Seriously, have I not stated that this story in general is was a risk. It's unconventional, it's weird and there's a lot of things I have done involving Peter that are very outside his character.

And yet, here I am in my longest running crossover and I'm only getting warmed up. I am not stopping the 'unnecessary Author's notes'. Here's the thing, and I'm not sorry about this. This is my crossover. My story and I will do with it as I please. I want to write authors notes because I like to express myself to you readers.

Don't worry folks, you're curiosity and answers will come in due time through this chapter and the next.

Along Came A Spider Chapter 23: Lockdown Part 2 Escalation

The team was silent and tense as the one called Lockdown stood before them, eyes on the Spectacular Spider-man.

"Uh what?" Spider-man said in a high tone

"You heard me anomaly" Lockdown said in his metallic voice "I am here for you"

"Of course you are" Peter said to himself

"Why are you after Spider-man?" Garrus said, cautiously stepping in front of his friend

"He is a great disturbance to this galaxy" Lockdown stated like it was the simplest answer

"But what does that even mean?" Liara spoke up before stepping back when Lockdowns eyes landed on her

"He is not of this reality" Lockdown said, staring down the superhero "He has been causing ripples that have destabilized the natural law revolving around this universe. For that reason, I have been sent here to take him"

"What?" Said everyone at once, shocked and confused

"What did I ever do to you?"

"It's more than what you've done" Lockdown said in complete seriousness "It is what you are doing. You being here is constantly creating a destabilization of this universe"

"But you're not telling us why" Shepard shouted "How are we to know what Spider-man is doing if you're not telling us anything"

"You are far beneath me, fleshling" Lockdown said, sneering down at the commander who glared back defiantly "I don't have to answer to one such as yourself"

"Oh great, another arrogant son of a bitch" Wrex growled with a smile "Can't wait to take you down already"

Lockdown scoffed in clear amusement

"You fleshlings know so little" Lockdown said "Understand so little. Your galaxy is one of trillions upon trillions. There is so much you do not know"

"Hey asshole" Peter spoke up in a rare form of irritation "In case you don't know, this is nothing new to me. I've done this too many times to count"

"And therein lies the problem" Lockdown said, narrowed eyes at Spider-man "You're abnormality in being here is not exactly welcoming"

"I'm pretty sure that's already been established transformer" Kaidan said with slight irritation

"Transformer?" Lockdown said "What in the name of the maker is that?"

"You even talk like one of them" Ashley exclaimed

Lockdown only glared at the humans.

He opened his mouth in retort only for an explosion that echoed across the valley was heard.

Lockdown and his subordinates glanced upward to see their ship on fire, with pieces falling down to the ground.

"What is going on?!" Lockdown shouted

"There has been a breakout in the cells Lockdown" One of his subordinates responded

That was the only moment that the team needed and they bolted.

Tali fired up her repulsors to its full power and unleashed a large combined beam at all the gigantic robots.

Of course this was the first time she had done something like this which resulted in her flying back, flailing around. The beams were more than enough to actually send the assembled group of gigantic robots stumbling back

Thankfully, Peter caught her gracefully and righted her running back onto the ground.

"COMMANDER" Came the loud shout of Joker through the comms "Finally got through to you. I…"

"No time to talk" Shepard yelled back "Just bring the Normandy over us now! Spider-man will get us up there"

"WHAT?!" Shouted everyone but Peter who was making the calculations in his mind on the best way to do his newest order.

"Lockdown, the targets" One of the subordinates said, pointing to the retreating fleshlings

"Now is not the time" Lockdown said, looking to his ship "What is going on up there?"

"There's a breakout of captured subjects" Another of Lockdowns subordinates said "One of the larger creatures. Several"

"Return now and get things under control" Lockdown ordered his group "We shall pursue the targets later"

The mechanical beings made no effort in hindering the large human ship that flew above them, heading right towards the Normandy team.

"There's our ride" Garrus shouted

"Tali" Peter yelled over the noise "You upgraded suit can carry two people. Grab Ashley and Liara. I'll handle the rest"

Tali nodded, holding out her hands for Ash and Li to grab onto. She was nervous about this test flight as she had not done anything like this before but right now wasn't the time for that.

"Activate lower thrusters" Tali said in her voice automated command "Full power"

Ashley and Liara tightly grabbed onto Tali just as the thrusters fired up and the trio was then in the air.

"Get close together" Spider-man instructed the remaining guys, firing web lines into each of the hands

He activated a quick repulsors boost from his suit in order to circle round the guys twice before landing in crouch. Channeling as much strength as he could muster, Spider-man leapt in the air with all his power just as Normandy flew over head.

Yelling out with power, Peter saw the under belly to the Mako bay open up and he flung the guys up towards it.

They all cried out in alarm, fright and disbelief. They then all 'OOFED' because they had collided with Tali, Ash and Liara in the air.

Now all of them were shouting when they felt solid ground beneath them.

Rolling off each other, they found themselves back in the Normandy, safe and sound and in one piece.

Shepard looked back to see Spider-man shoot out from the hole and land right behind them.

"Close the bay Joker and get us the hell out of here" Peter said frantically through the comms

"You got it"

The entire team felt the ship give a mighty lurch, the Normandy already out of the planets atmosphere at full speed.

"Joker fly us to the nearest relay and get us the fuck out of this system now" Shepard ordered the pilot

"Way ahead of ya" Joker said "Hold onto something"

The Normandy entered the vicinity of the nearest mass relay and like that was gone from the terminus system.

The next day

The team had been gathered in the meeting room, dazed and exhausted from the events of yesterday.

Wrex had a nice big bottle of ryncol on hand, nursing it in both hands as if it were a lifeline.

Garrus was slowly wiping his gun back and forth, eyes glazed with Kaidan right next to him whom was messing around with an empty bottle of beer which he was levitating thanks to his biotics.

Tali and Ash were sitting together leaning on one another with their hands holding.

The same with Shepard and Liara except that Shepard held her in a hug with Liara leaning on his shoulder.

Spider-man was the only one standing. Black suit with his arms crossed, mask off.

Many things were running through the mind of our webbed superhero. Thoughts such as guilt, and lockdown, and the situation, and guilt, the team, the madness that's going to come and more guilt.

He sighed aloud, making all heads turn to him.

"Well, this is a thing now" Peter said whimsically

"You don't seem to be that affected, Pete" Ashley deadpanned

"You seemed to have forgotten just who you're talking to Ash" Peter pointed out, running a hand through his hair "Not exactly new to this"

"Oh" Ashley said, leaning back into her chair "Right"

"I'm trying to process this" Kaidan spoke "But for some reason, something is preventing me from fully accepting it. Even after you told us about who you are and where you come from"

"It's one thing to see it" Peter said "It's another matter to actually experience it"

"Spirits Peter" Garrus said, setting his gun down "How long have you been doing this again?"

"Since I was 15" Peter said with a reminiscent expression

"Don't go old timer on us just yet Peter" Wrex said, taking a swig of his drink "What we need to do is figure out just what the hell are we going to do"

"Easier said than done" Tali said, rubbing her slightly sore arms "I'm pretty sure this wasn't part of our job description"

"Nothing is ever as simple as it seems" Peter said to his friends "Once you come into my line of work or life, nothing is ever the same again"

"You could say that again" Ashley groaned out "Freaky reapers, I think I can handle. But transformers? Come on, I'm pretty sure that's copyright infringement"

"If that's the case, we humanity better get our royalty checks" Shepard spoke up "Sooner rather than later"

"What are we to do, Shepard?" Liara asked her lover

"I honestly don't know" Shepard said, now separating himself from Liara to stand in the middle of the room with Peter

"It wants Peter" Shepard said "That's what we know so far. And that means, we're n to giving him up at all"

"Ah Shepard" Peter said in mock love "I knew you cared"

"Oh shut up" Shepard said, grinning at Pete "You're only job here is to make sure none of us die"

"Way ahead of ya" Spider-man said, gesturing grandly with his arms to the team

"But why does it want Peter?" Ashley asked 'Sure, transformer said that Peter's presence is affecting the state of this universe, but he didn't say how and why"

"If I remember correctly" Liara said "When Madame Webb was here, explaining to us your origin and circumstances of arrival to this reality, Shepard, Wrex and I saw reflections of other versions of this reality"

"Huh?" Kaidan perked up "What do you mean?"

"That's right" Wrex sat up "We saw versions of Spider-man. More specifically, us as Spider-man"

"HUH?!" Said Garrus, Tali, Ashley and Kaidan in unison

"Of course" Shepard said, recalling that day "Web told us that Spider-mans presence here has begun to expand and create multiple alternate realities revolving around this one. We are standing in the prime, the original version of this universe. But she said to us that Peter and I are anomalies. That we're causing splinters to be created from the prime universe"

"You and Peter?" Ashley said "How?"

"It's insanely complicated Ash" Peter cut in "Let's just leave it at that for now. We'll have a long talk about it after all this is over

"So what's the plan then?" Garrus asked "I don't want to sound pessimistic here but I don't think our weaponry is strong enough to pierce those bastards"

"Not our weaponry" Peter said walking over to Tali

He gently grasped her wrist and held it up for the others to the glowing circle in the center of her palm

"But my weaponry stunned them" Spider-man said with a grin "If Tali and I can amp up the power, it can damage them and beat them"

"Sweet" Ashley said

"Then it's best you guys get to work on them" Shepard said "Something tells me we'll be running into Lockdown sooner rather than later"

"That's not a bad feeling Shepard" Spider-man said airily "That's just the universes way of telling you it's going to happen"

"Then what do we do?" Liara asked the group "I don't know if we should return to the Citadel"

"Why not?' Ashley asked

"It seems extremely risky" Liara said "I do not know if this Lockdown is aware of it, but if he finds his way to the Citadel, there may be a mass panic on our hands. I don't know if the Citadel is prepared enough for another attack especially one that can clearly spell certain doom for all those on the Citadel"

That sucked the air out from the room at the thought of Lockdown utterly destroying the Citadel on his mission to apprehend Spider-man.

Liara realized this and her eyes widened in horror and remorse.

"Goddess no" Liara stuttered out in regret "I-I didn't mean…"

"It's alright Liara" Peter said, placing a hand on her shoulder "You were thinking in the grander scheme of things. There's nothing wrong with that. We'll figure out how to handle Lockdown"

There was another air of silence

"Alright" Liara nodded

"So what's the game plan then?" Kaidan asked

"I think for now we should be moving around" Peter said "Let's not stay in one spot for too long. Otherwise, Lockdown may get a lock on our location and come charging in"

"Seems to be the best plan we've got right now" Shepard said, relaying the orders to Joker

"I'll start working on upgrading our equipment" Tali said, standing up to go to her work station

"And I'll be right there with you" Peter said "Come on Garrus, I'll show you how to manage your new suit and weaponry"

"Awesome" Garrus said

"What about the rest of us?" Ashley asked

"Uh…" Peter said

"Just remain vigilant" Shepard said "See what you can do, do whatever you can around the ship. Just be at the ready. God knows what will happen"

"We'll also call you up when we got your suits ready" Peter added "Been working on them for a while now so it's high time we all get some upgrades"

"Can't wait" Wrex said excitedly

Scene cut to Lockdown

The large bot sat within his commanders chair, surrounded by holographic representations of other realities.

He grit his teeth in anger and frustration as he destroyed one yet two more took its place.

The multiverse surrounding this universe was growing and it was becoming more and more difficult to maintain the order.

Lockdown leaned back into his chair, reclining his head into a specially made indent. Wires shot out and connected themselves to Lockdowns head and began to glow, pumping power and information into the mechanical dome.

Lockdowns eyes flickered from green to a deep violet. If one would look closely enough, images were rapidly displayed for only the briefest of moments. Images that were primarily revolving around a man clad in red and blue, occasionally black, silver and other colors.

He then shot out of his trance, shaking his head violently to disconnect the wires.

"To much information" Lockdown murmured, rubbing his head "To many realities"

"Lockdown" Said a more mechanical, emotionless voice

"Fritz" Lockdown said, looking up at his weapons expert "What do you have for me?"

"The targets have been moving about rapidly" Fritz said to his leader "Though our technology is more advanced, they keep randomizing their light speed jumps to keep us off their tail. I admit, it is quite an ingenious strategy. However, they will fall into a pattern soon enough. Once that happens I will be able to coordinate their location and lock them in place"

"Good Fritz" Lockdown said with a praising nod "I expect results soon"

"And you shall have them" Fritz promised, right hand on his chest.

He bowed and exited the room, leaving Lockdown to his thoughts once more.

Meanwhile

Peter carefully adjusted a leg piece for Ashley's armor.

Right now, he didn't have the best tech at his disposal but he'll make do with what he had.

Seeing that he had finished, Spider-man pressed down on a button in the calf. The leg piece opened up and flew over to the rest of the suit that Peter was working on.

"I am never gonna get used to that" Garrus commented, staring at the suits in disbelief

"Well find a way" Peter said with a grin "Cause I've been working on this kind of tech for years but never had a chance to really use my creations as much as I want to. Now that I have more downtime…"

"We can do more" Tali said with glee as she flew around the work area "This is too fun. Keelah I never want to stop"

"Easy Tali" Peter said in good humor "Don't wanna cause motion sickness"

"Oh please" Tali said, hovering over him "I think it will take a great effort to pull that off. Don't forget, we've driven with Shepard before"

"That is true" Garrus said, cycling through the rounds he possessed. Currently he had the regular mags, incendiary rounds, explosive and high piercing velocity rounds. His mind went into thinking of other creative weaponry.

"Hmmm" Garrus raised his detached scope to examine closely

"Hey guys" Kaidan walked in to see Tali flying around, Peter working on another suit and Garrus examining his gun

"Wee" Tali declared happily "I don't know if I'll ever get tired of this. I'M FLYING"

Kaidan could only stare.

"That's gonna take some time getting used to" Kaidan said

"Already said that" Garrus said, not looking up from his gun

"Hey Kaidan, what's up?" Peter greeted the LT

"Nothing really" Kaidan shrugged, walking over to the web-head "Just wanted to stop by, check up on you guys"

"Appreciate the company" Peter said

"No problem" Kaidan said with an unusual tone making Peter look up from his tech

"What's up Kaidan?" Peter asked "Something troubling you?"

Kaidan was silent, intently staring at the suits on the table that Peter was fixing up.

He let out a sigh, taking a seat on one of the spare chairs that stood next to the table.

"It's just…all of this" Kaidan said vaguely "I don't really know how to, how do I phrase this? Ah I just don't know how to process all this. Saren was one thing but we're fighting a freaking transformer here. I'm pretty sure that's not in the job description"

Peter let out a dry chuckle

"Nobody ever does tell us what's in store" Peter said, resting his arms on the table "You just gotta learn how to take it in stride"

"Really?" Kaidan said sarcastically "How'd you do it"

Peter 'hmphed' in amusement.

"I don't even know where to begin" Peter said, eyes on the ceiling as he remembered the craziness he experienced during his early "God it's been so long now.

"Who were some of your first enemies?" Kaidan asked "I remember some of them, that green looking guy and the one who turned into water"

"Yeah, Goblin and Hydro Man" Peter said "There's also Sandman, Mysterio, Rhino, Kraven, Doc Ock, Electro, Beetle, Kingpin, Hob Goblin, Hammerhead and now Shocker and Scorpion"

"Spirits damn" Garrus said in astonishment "I know you're an expert at pissing people off but I forgot you had that many assholes ready to kick your ass at any given time"

"Yeah" Spider-man said with fond remembrance "So many bad guys"

"You're weird that you're smiling about that" Garrus and Kaidan deadpanned

"Hey it's been a crazy run" Peter defended himself "Don' even get me started on the Avenger level threats I've had to face. Like Ultron And Kang"

"Ultron?" Garrus said

"Kang?" Kaidan repeated "Who are they?"

"Oh right, I haven't told you about those guys" Peter said "Well to put it simply, these are the super heavyweights of my reality. Like one of the bad guys that are so dangerous, the Avengers are the response team"

"Damn" Garrus said "What are the Avenges like? We've only seen memories and you talking about them"

"Man there's an extensive list of us" Peter exhales, thinking of all the members "There's a constant rotating roster but this current one has been in place for over two years now. Like I said before, the Avengers are basically like us. Then again we're a Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers mix to be honest. Which is equally awesome"

"Guardians of the Galaxy?" Tali inquired

"Shit, I really forget how crazy my universe is sometimes" Peter said lightly slapping his head "This is gonna take a while so take your seats guys. This one is a doozy"

Tali was the only one standing so she sat down on the table while Garrus and Kaidan scooted closer.

"Ok, so Kang, or Kang the conqueror, as he likes to calls himself is a supervillain with advanced technology and powers" Peter began "He's from the far off future where apparently he rules all"

"Wait, wait, wait, hang on time out" Kaidan interrupted "Did you just say the future? As in time travel?"

"Oh yeah, almost everyone where I come from has time traveled at least once" Peter waved off "Most of the time being unintentional"

The listeners could only have their jaws drop in utter disbelief. That was a bit much to swallow.

"Ugh this is just crazy" Garrus groaned "Time Travel? Here's a question Pete, what haven't you experienced and what hasn't your reality seen?"

"Huh" Peter crossed his arms in thought, scrunching his face up "I never thought of that. Let me see…"

"Forget it" Kaidan held up his hand "I feel like we'll be here way longer than intended"

"True" Peter nodded to Kaidan

"So what was this Kang person like?" Tali asked

"Well, if you have a moniker like 'the conqueror' there's a pretty easy idea on just what kind of guy Kang was" Peter joked

"Sounds like a grade A Douche" Kaidan said

"Oh, you have no idea" Peter said "He's like Saren's ego turned up to the size of this galaxy. This guy was so full of himself he sometimes spoke in a third person"

"Wow, I can't think of anyone more egotistical than Saren" Garrus stated

"Just wait a while Garrus" Peter said "There's definitely someone or a good few number of people out here in this galaxy who have an ego larger than Saren. We just haven't met them yet"

"Good point" Garrus admitted

"So where was I" Peter asked himself "Ah right, so Kang the Conqueror. Avengers Villain. Right, so this guys is an occasional baddy but one that requires complete focus on. He doesn't appear often but when he does, the Avengers are there to stop him. He's nearly changed our timeline several times. It's funny cause him doing that was how the current roster of Avengers was assembled"

"Man, you just keep dropping all these side things that are gigantic stories in their own rights" Kaidan said, rubbing his temple "Ugh, I feel a headache coming on. And it's not from my biotics"

"Right" Peter winced "Um, how about I save my insanely large stories for another time"

"Yeah, that feels appropriate" Tali agreed "Besides, we need to finish up on our tech"

"Alright then" Kaidan said, getting up "I'll see you guys later. I'm gonna grab a small bite to eat. Anyone hungry?"

They all answered no and bid Kaidan farewell for the moment.

Garrus resumed work on understanding his upgraded suit and weapons whilst Peter and Tali continued on the armor and weapons for the team overall.

With Shepard, he was with Joker who was flying the ship

"I don't know how much longer we should keep this up Shepard" Joker said to the Spectre "I mean this ship can take an insane amount of stress but these constant jumps can wear a ship down. It's only a matter of time"

"I know Joker" Shepard said understandingly "But you know what's going on"

"Yeah" Joker sighed, getting more comfortable in his chair "This is just way too much to handle. Rogue Spectres were one thing, a genocidal group of robot zombies, ok that's stretching it. But now Transformers? Man that's one for the books"

"Kinda paints a picture on how crazy things are getting now, huh Jeff" Shepard remarked making Joker snicker

"Peter was dealing with this stuff way before meeting any of us" Shepard noted "Maybe we should ask him how he handled this nonsense"

"Seems like a good plan" Joker said before seeing a blinking light to his right

He moved to bring up whatever notification he received and then paled slightly

"Oh god" Joker cringed "Uh Commander, you'll want to look at this"

Shepard moved around Joker's chair, kneeling down to see the new message that they had just received.

Shepards expression turned into one of alarm then anger.

"Punch in those coordinates Joker" Shepard said "Let's go save them"

"Copy that Commander" Joker said with determination

Shepard sent out a message to the others through his ID card

"Team, we've got a situation and you're not gonna like it" Shepard said "Meet me at the Mako bay"

The team gathered around the Mako bay, standing next to one of the newest additions to the Normandy.

It was a three seater. One driver, one passenger and one on the large turret in the back. The others were Garrus's personalized motorcycle and big empty space where the Mako used to be.

"Kinda feels incomplete now" Garrus murmured "All those long hours of calibrating. For nothing"

"Alright, Garrus" Peter patted his friend on the back "We'll get you something nice and new and you can make something more original"

"Come on you mopey Pyjak" Wrex said "We've got more important things to handle. Shepard. What's going on?"

"And alliance station is under attack" Shepard said grimly "By you know what"

That made everyone tense up

"Now normally, the rational thing to do is to completely ignore them" Shepard said "But, these bastards are more than capable of destroying that station and everyone on it. I know it's most definitely a trap. But I'm not about to let innocent people get caught up in a fight that's not theirs. And I'm pretty confident that you guys aren't gonna let that happen either"

"You know it" Ashley said, punching her fist into her palm

"Let's go" Liara said

"You know the answer then Shepard" Peter said

"Then get ready" Shepard said "We're already on our way there. Joker, what's our ETA"

"One hour" Joker said

"Get ready"

Everyone moved to exit but Peter stopped Kaidan, Ashley and Wrex.

"Guys, so I've been working on your suits for some time now" Peter said to them "While I haven't finished adding everything I want, there's still more than enough to hopefully level the playing field since we're going up against gigantic robots"

"Been waiting a long time for this" Wrex said with anticipation

"I don't think you'll be disappointed" Peter said with a grin

Scene cut

The Normandy flew in towards the alliance station that was currently under the attack of Lockdowns ship..

Or was under attack.

"I do not like this" Kaidan said as he, Shepard, Liara and Garrus stood around Jokers pilot chair.

"They're either holding everyone in there as prisoner" Shepard said "Everyone in there is dead or it's just a trap. A really elaborate trap"

Then an alarm went off

"Bogeys on our back"

"It's a trap" Kaidan and Shepard shouted together

"Taking evasive maneuvers" Joker said

"Get us to that station" Shepard said, moving to the intercom "Attentions all Normandy crew, prepare for battle"

With Wrex he ran over to a nearby window and glanced out(Not literally).

He saw five large ships being piloted by the mechanical beings.

"Shit, we've got a lot of company on our tail" Wrex shouted "They got some huge ships"

"Tali" Peter ran past her "Come on"

Tali didn't even hesitate in running after him.

Peter was already fully armored save for his helmet and Tali had her advanced suit on the entire time.

Garrus in the meantime loaded up his gun, prepped his arsenal and placed on his helmet. His HUD appeared before him as he ran over to join Peter and Tali.

"So what's the plan?" Garrus asked

"How suicidal are you feeling?" Peter asked the two

"Uh" Tali and Garrus said together

"Just get on your flying cycle Garrus, Tali you to" Peter instructed the two, placing his helmet on

"And what are you gonna do?" Garrus asked, getting himself seated with Tali right behind him

"Hang on" Spider-man said warily, bringing his hand up to the side of his head while firing a web line to the back of Garrus's cycle with the other

"Drop us Joker" Spider-man said

The floor below them opened up momentarily and the trio were now in the vacuum of space.

"SPIRITS FUCK" Garrus shouted

"GUN IT GARRUS" Peter yelled

"THIS IS THE CRAZIEST THING WE'VE EVER DONE" Garrus shouted, gunning the engine.

It took off at a higher speed than Garrus was used to, flying at t he oncoming enemy ships.

"Have you been working on my bike?" Garrus asked in amazement

"Oh yeah dude" Spider-man hung on "I've been very busy OH CRAP ENEMY FIRE"

"Hold on" Garrus yelled out and then began spinning and weaving

"Oh god" Spider-man clung onto his line with all his might whilst two of the large attack ships began pursuing and firing at them

"TALI" Peter shouted

"Ok" Tali said, closing her eyes briefly.

She spoke into her voice command, activating all of her systems.

"Keelah se'lai" Tali prayed to herself before getting off the bike and activating her thrusters at full power

"WAA" She cried out, narrowly avoiding a beam sent at her from one of the fighters.

Righting herself, Tali flew at full speed, using her HUD to help guide her through this insanity

"I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS" Tali exclaimed both in amazement and panic

"Just concentrate Tali" Peter responded, taking her place behind Garrus(insert pervy joke here) "You can do it"

Tali was silent, allowing Peter's words to sink in. They resonated with her in a way that was similar to how Shepard had done before only this time, it felt more than personal.

This was coming from a man who had seen this type of madness all too often. A kind of insanity that would make lesser beings break but where he comes from, people instead choose and fight to rise up to the challenge and become something greater than themselves.

This wayward traveler whom she had never even fathomed of existing became her friend, her teacher, her pupil, her confidant all at once. He sat her down and showed her a greater path in not just tech but ambition.

Peter showed her what she can truly do at her full potential and here she was right now flying in what is perhaps one of the most advanced suits in the galaxy with one of the greatest heroes from this reality and his own telling her that he has complete faith in her abilities.

Tali faced an oncoming fighter and narrowed her eyes with determination.

Increasing her speed, Tali flew right at the bot that was piloting his fighter craft.

The bot couldn't help but be alarmed slightly at the sight of a being that just reached up to its ankle flying full speed towards him with the intent to kill.

Fumbling slightly with his maneuvering, the bot got into position and started firing at Tali who dodged with all her might, getting closer to her target.

When she got close enough, Tali let out one more boost, flipping over several shots.

She landed in front of the large mechanical being who blinked and jumped slightly in surprise.

"Eat this Boshtet" Tali said and fired off a powerful dual repulsors beam at the bots face

The bot shouted in pain and rage, clutching his face

"You meat bag, you shot my eye out!" The bot roared, glaring at the Quarian with one functioning eye.

Tali's gusto soon turned into a small, high pitched 'eep'.

'I think I gave myself to much credit for this one' Tali meekly thought to herself

The bot raised its arm in an effort to crush her. Instinctively, Tali fired another shot at the bots face, getting his other eye.

"AURGH, YOU BITCH" he was now swinging around wildly in an attempt to strike her.

Not taking any more chances, Tali flew off to rejoin Garrus and Spider-man who were currently 'battling' another fighter.

The Normandy in the meantime launched a myriad of rockets at any and all fighters that they could target.

While it didn't do much at all, the explosions allowed for cover which gave Joker the path needed to get to the station.

"Garrus, Tali, Peter" Shepard called out to t hem "Get back into the ship, we're headed for the station"

"On IT" Spider-man said, currently finishing up his little web mask for one of the fighter bots.

He drifted away from the fighter, getting picked up by Tali and Garrus.

The fighter bot momentarily struggled in ripping off the webbing from his face.

He got it off with a triumphant HA which then turned into a scream as the blinded bot Tali fought earlier crashed into him.

"This is the craziest thing we've ever done" Tali exclaimed once more

"Don't call it the craziest" Spider-man yelled back, the three of them flying back to Normandy "In my track record it's only gonna get crazier"

"I believe we should second that notion" Garrus said and they flew into the Normandy Mako bay

The trio 'crash' landed into the Mako bay just as Joker gunned towards the station.

As they got closer, the pod ship began flickering with lights, signifying its activation. Moments later, the ship fired a dozen large missiles right at the Normandy.

"Oh Crap, those are huge" Joker exclaimed, performing a hard turn and began fleeing from the large rockets that were locked on to the Normandy.

"Releasing flares" Joker said and fired multiple "And whatever else we have"

"Oh man" Shepard cringed "They're gonna hate us"

Shepard went an contacted they're returning team members

"Hey guys" Shepard hesitated, speaking through the comms "I'm gonna need you three to get topside and see how many of those locked on missiles you can destroy"

"On it" Peter responded, the three of them running to get to the upper levels of the Normandy

"Peter" Wrex joined them, holding a rocket launcher

"Since when did we have a rocket launcher?" Garrus asked

"I brought this on my own time. Never had a chance to use it on our last few missions" Wrex explained

"Not even gonna complain" Peter said "Let's get to the top"

With Lockdown

The large cybernetic being looked down upon the captured human workers of the alliance station. There were several Asari, a Salarian and several Turians mixed in as well but all looked upon Lockdown in complete awe and terror.

"Know this, fleshlings" Lockdown spoke to them "I will not bring you any harm. I am here for only one purpose. Once that purpose has passed, i shall depart from this galaxy"

"This galaxy?" a human spoke up

"Yes there is life outside this galaxy" Lockdown stated looking at the human who spoke "Just like when you discovered that there was other lifeforms within this galaxy. Get over it"

There was an awkward put down silence amongst the Citadel species as they all looked at one another.

"Strange isn't it" Lockdown said "Realizing that you are all infinitely more smaller than you already are"

"Then why are you here?" One of the Turians boldly asked

He instantly shrunk under the gaze of Lockdown

"You may have heard of him" lockdown said "His name is Spider-man"

"The hell do you want with Spider-man" One of the younger humans said, rising to his feet

"I take it that you are an admirer of his" Lockdown said boredly

"He's a hero" One of the Asari stated "He saved my life at the Citadel"

"Yeah, and he's part of the Normandy team" Another Turian said "The same one that also saved the Citadel from Saren"

"And they helped friends of mine on Feros" Another human added

"So you worship these heroes" Lockdown dryly said "What a tear jerker. I would have never had guessed that. But therein lies the problem"

Lockdown's entire mood shifted

"Spider-man was never meant to be here" Lockdown stated in complete seriousness "He was never supposed to exist"

Before anyone could ask why, one of Lockdowns 'men' ran into the room

"Lockdown sir" The robot said "The Normandy is here. Spider-man and Shepard have been confirmed amongst them"

"Good, prepare for capture" Lockdown said

The Normandy was still flying away from the missiles trailing after them.

Garrus, Tali, Wrex and Spider-man at long last reached the top of the ship and opened a hatch that would allow them to stand atop the Normandy.

Latching on safety cables and the addition of Spider-man's reinforced webbing, the four jumped out into space.

"Eat this you shit eating Pyjaks" Wrex roared in glee, wearing his helmet to breath in space.

He locked on to an oncoming missile and fired his in response. For added overkill, he emptied out his entire clip.

Tali used her HUD to triangulate the course of another missile and with precise timing, fired a powerful beam at another one, incapacitating it

Garrus utilized his newest gun, using the high piercing velocity rounds.

"Let's see how this works out" Garrus murmured to himself, aiming down with his scope.

He exhaled and fired, the kickback slightly jolting him. The round went right through the missile causing it to blow up and make Garrus slightly tear up

"It's so beautiful" He said

Spider-man used his own repulsors to destroy the last missile that was trailing after the Normandy.

"We're clear up here Shepard" Garrus said

"Good" Shepard responded "Get back inside and get ready to storm the base"

"Copy that" Garrus said and the group got back into the Normandy.

Joker then changed course and flew to their original intended target.

"This is gonna suck" Kaidan said as the team assembled back in the Mako bay "I don't know why, but I'm getting a gut feeling that this is gonna suck"

"Oh you have that too now huh?" Peter said understandably "Yeah, I have that every single day. People call me paranoid. I just call it being vigilant"

Everyone stared at the web-head

"What?"

"Dude, how much self-loathing do you have?" Ashley asked

"What'd ya buy out the stock market on it?" Garrus added

"Peter, I do worry about your self-esteem sometimes" Liara said earnestly

"HEY" Peter yelled out indignantly "I HAPPEN TO HAVE a….really low opinion of myself"

"We'll fix that later" Shepard said "Maybe with a woman to blow your mind"

"That actually sounds like a great idea" Wrex concurred

"Pulling up on the drop zone" Joker chimed in

"Alright, we'll talk about Peter's self-degradation later" Shepard said, getting into the new mini mako

Liara was in the passenger seat whilst Wrex got onto the turret

Ashley got behind Garrus on his cycle whilst Tali would assist Kaidan in getting down.

Spider-man was simply trusted to get down his own way.

Normandy did its fly by and the floor beneath them all opened up.

They floated down to the station until entering its artificial gravity field. All began to fall at an increasing rate.

Garrus and Shepard used their thrusters to level out their landing that same being with Tali.

Spider-man managed to weave together a small web parachute, landing gracefully on the ground.

"INCOMING" Wrex roared and immediately they were met with fire from a group of the transformers.

"Lockdown cares little for the other fleshlings" One of the larger ones cried out "His only concern is the one with the arachnid emblem"

"Wow, villains who've actually studied biology" Peter remarked, dodging the fire

"We are not villains" A new, red clad transformer stepped forward "We are the keepers. Protectors of the order of this universe"

"Yeah, really great job you're all doing" Garrus shouted, juking left and right to avoid the shots fired at him "Love the order you guys have established"

"Especially the part about a GENOCIDAL ALIEN RACE THAT KILLS EVERYTHING" Shepard yelled out in pure rage

"You understand so little about the natural order" The red bot stated "The race you know as the reapers are a natural progression of the order. Order and chaos are two sides of the same coin. It is through the chaos that the next order shall be established"

"Oh my god, what two bit philosopher bullshit is that" Ashley snapped "What'd you read that out of, a fortune cookie?"

"Why should we explain ourselves to you?" The red bot said, clearly disinterested in saying this

"Cause that's called common courtesy" Spider-man said, firing two web lines at him

The red bot casually raised his hand to catch the lines which was what Peter wanted.

Peter tugged and shot forward at the red transformer, positioning is legs to deliver a powerful dual kick to his face.

The kick was powerful enough to send the red bot stumbling back but not enough to bring him down.

Angered, the red bot transformed his arm into a literal hand cannon and began firing at Spider-man.

"That is so unfair but so cool at the same time" Spider-man shouted "I'm fighting a transformer"

"By the one, do you ever shut up" the Red bot snarled out

"Oh, he's getting to him" Wrex said "We gotta make our push now!"

"Wrex" Tali called out to the Krogan "We've been working on your armor. Just hold up both arms in front of you and say 'activate berserk charge'"

Wrex looked at her curiously but followed her instructions regardless.

"Activate berserk charge"

The armor shifted about, metal pieces moving towards Wrex's arms.

The Krogan only looked on in stunned amazement as his arms got surrounded by metal which then expanded into a large metal shield. He then felt movement on his back and legs and glanced down to see jets coming out from his armor.

"WHEN AND WHERE IN THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE THE TIME TO DO THIS?!" Wrex shouted in complete shock and awe

"Dude, I've been trained by Tony Stark and I've been a tech savvy guy since I was twelve" Peter answered "That and I've been working on so much stuff since Tali and I first made her suit"

"Well thank YOOOOOUUUUU" Wrex shouted as he took off towards a transformer

"WHOA" Wrex said, keeping his head down as he rammed into the leg of one of the bots, tripping the giant robot

"Got one down" Kaidan shouted flaring up his biotics with Liara and Shepard

The biotics surrounded the bots head and in a group effort, they pulled the head off of the transformer.

They seemingly stopped momentarily noticing the twitching body.

"That" Liara said "Was rather disturbing"

"Guys" Spider-man landed next to them noticing the now motionless, headless transformer "Damn that's brutal. I don't know why I'm disturbed"

"Disturbing stuff later" Tali said flying overhead to engage another transformer "Fight now"

"Right" Shepard said, shaking his head and advanced onto the station with Liara, Kaidan and Spider-man, attacking the nearest bot.

"Fritz" A bot spoke to the red one "Lockdown has asked for a status update"

"They are proving to be a greater nuisance than expected" Fritz admitted "Their weaponry has proven to be effective against us as well as their genetic enhancement known as biotics"

"Fritz come in" Lockdown called through their communications

"Yes Lockdown" Fritz responded

"Enough games, resort to electro net capture and get it over with" Lockdown commanded "This farce has gone on long enough"

"At once" Fritz said, sending out the command to his subordinates.

Their arms all morphed into cannons with pincers surrounding the hole.

Choosing instead not to target, they all began to fire at random in wide groups to pin down the Normandy team.

It had an immediate result as a net managed to snag the flying Tali who shrieked in fear when the net entrapped her, bringing her to the ground. It let off some electric crackles, depowering her suit and trapping her to the ground. As much as she struggled, it just didn't come off.

"Oh crap" Spider-man said when he saw Ashley then get captured followed by Garrus

"Son of a…" Shepard grit his teeth "Spider-man, get them the hell out of here now!"

"You honestly think I'm gonna leave you guys" Spider-man gritted out, narrowly jumping over a net directed at him

"I'm not giving you that AURGH" Shepard was now captured

Liara called out to him only to be snagged up as well followed by Kaidan and Wrex and soon enough only Spider-man remained standing.

He was about to go and help his friends when the bots all began standing over his trapped comrades, weapons trained on them.

"God, you couldn't help yourselves could you?" Peter said bitterly

"You only have one option" Fritz stated "Come with us and your friends shall live. You're not getting a second option because we know you would never abandon those you care for"

Peter could only throw his hands up in defeat

"You know me so well" Peter joked

"Ah" Lockdown had now arrived "I see that you finally came to your senses"

"Not much of a choice here" Peter snipped

"Yes, I can see that" Lockdown said, looking down at the captured Normandy crew, eyes briefly lingering on Shepard "Regardless, we have what we came here for"

A shadow then befell the entire station and above was one of the largest ships to have ever been seen by the Normandy crew.

It's size easily dwarfed whatever any military ship possessed and it clearly matched the size of the Citadel if it was stretched.

"Time to go Spider-man" Lockdown declared firing his own net to make sure the web head wasn't going anywhere.

Moments later they were all gone, leaving the Normandy crew to struggle in their bindings trying to free themselves when suddenly the nets just opened up, allowing them to get out.

They were all relatively silent, only glancing at one another as Shepard recalled Joker to await for them while they went in to make sure that all the personnel of the station were accounted for.

After that was all said and done, the team were soon back on the Normandy in the meeting room, not saying a word until.

"Great' Ashley shouted out in pure anger "Just great!. Some fucking jackass Transformer used us as leverage to capture Peter and now they're god knows where not in this galaxy but in the fucking universe!"

"We know Ash" Garrus said irritably "We all saw it"

"Then what the hell are we gonna do about it?" Wrex asked aggressively "You can't expect any of us to just let them take him like that! He's one of us"

"I know that Wrex" Shepard said "And we're not leaving him alone"

"But how are we going to get to him?" Liara asked cautiously "They're technology is beyond anything we've ever seen. How can we even track or find them? As you said Ash, for all we know they could be on the other side of the universe"

"Urgh" Tali slightly sniveled "I think those boshtets short circuited my immune function on my suit. Great, now I feel like garbage"

"You think you'll be alright Tali?" Shepard asked in concern

"Don't worry Shepard *SNIFF*" Tali said with strength "I may have a bit of a cold but it'll take more than that to keep down and helping my friends"

"Which begs the question" Garrus said "How are we gonna get him back?"

"Man, this is just giving me a bigger headache" Kaidan said "There's gotta be something we can do"

"Any suggestions?" Shepard asked looking to his crew

He was met with silent contemplation from all

"Ok, not what I was expecting" Shepard dryly said "I was hoping for something more inspiring"

"Aren't you the leader?" Garrus shot back

"We can't match them fully with the technology we have" Tali stated gaining everyone's attention "Even with everything we have, we have no way of truly matching them in terms of strength save for Peter but if we had tech similar to theirs, we may have a fighting chance"

"There's also the fact that they're twenty feet tall and that it took three of us to take one down" Kaidan said "Just saying"

"And what do you mean we don't have the tech?" Wrex said "You and Spidey made a crap ton of improvements that actually fought well against their tech"

"Yes, but most of that was luck and delaying tactics" Tali said honestly "If we really want to take them down and get back Peter, we need to find a way to get on their level of tech"

"Right" Garrus said "Have leaps and bounds of technology that may as well be thousands of years ahead of our time be brought to the modern age. How do you say we do that?"

It was at that moment, a voice from above answered their 'prayers'.

"Heya guys" Joker said

"Joker?" Shepard said, glancing up "Have you been listening to us the entire time?"

"In case you guys have forgotten, Peter's my friend to and I have every reason to worry about him" Joker said "And I think I have an idea on how to get Peter back even if it is a crazy stretch"

"Joker" Ashley said "We just fought giant robots that basically confirmed how insignificant we really are. I think we can handle your crazy stretch"

"Oh" Joker nodded to himself "Alright then. So tell me"

Joker eyed the floating wreckage of Lockdowns fighter ships and bots

"Who down there is the best at salvaging?"

Alright I'll leave that there, hopefully next chapter will be out sooner than later. Been busy trying to find a new job after leaving my old one.

Life is lfe as they say, tough and unbiased yadda yadda yadda

Any who, in the coming chapters, you guys are in for a real treat of a surprise when we get to the next two chapters.

I had an idea that just came to me and I couldn't help but incorporate it into the story and soon enough it's gonna be so awesome when it happens, trust me, you guys are gonna love it

Just like I loved the new Spider-man Homecoming trailers, specifically the international version cause my GOD that vlog part was insanely awesome. I nearly cried nerd tears
